Closing the loop on anger
Today I’m talking about one of my top five passionate topics. This is something that impacts each and every one of us at some point. And that is anger. Anger is something that can sit under the surface for years or decades without being addressed. It is a very important emotion and it is a good emotion when it’s based in reality. But we have to process it and close the loop on anger. Let’s dig in. 2:28 - How anger presents itself as unfair 3:14 - What happens when we don’t close the loop on anger 6:03 - How to close the loop on anger when we feel something is unfair 17:56 - Why it’s important to forgive for yourself and not for the person you are forgiving 18:40 - What to do if you find yourself being easily triggered 21:03 - How bottled up anger can impact our body physically If you are ready to release negativity, renew the true essence of yourself, and realign with your higher self, join the waitlist here Thanks for tuning in today! What can hypnosis help with?
One of the most common questions asked of me is, “Knowing what we know about how powerful the mind is, and all we know about stress, why isn’t hypnosis the first-line option?” That is the million-dollar question. Clearly, stress can have a significant impact on our health. Without a doubt, we have some degree of influence over 97% of disease we may be predisposed to? If your mind can influence it, hypnosis can help with it. I'll explain everything in today’s episode. 1:15 - Hypnosis explained 2:30 - The difference between meditation and hypnosis 3:07 - Clarification around hereditary diseases and conditions that we are pre-disposed to 5:12 - How stress affects us without even realizing it 10:45 - How we can influence the effect of stress on our health 14:41 - How hypnosis is good for depression and anxiety If you are ready to release negativity, renew the true essence of yourself, and realign with your higher self, join the waitlist here Thanks for tuning in today! 3 Things COVID-19 taught me as a new CEO
Today I want to talk about three lessons that COVID-19 has taught me as a new CEO. Investing in my personal transformation is the best thing I could’ve done for myself. In a time where the outcome we expected to happen, didn’t happen, I was able to step back, learn from it, adjust, and move forward because of my personal transformation work. It is also super important to have a network of people that gives you a safe place to express, feel, and witness others who are going through the same thing. We are going through a grieving process because we’ve lost our routines, predictability, business plans, and dreams for 2020. It doesn’t mean those dreams will never happen, they’re just not going to happen yet. It’s ok to grieve. When something like a pandemic strikes, learn to step back and evaluate. If you have to adjust and do something that you don’t like temporarily, then that’s what you have to do. It’s all about being adaptable and resilient. 2:11 - The first lesson this pandemic has taught me is to invest in myself 5:05 - How to learn to be unattached to outcomes 5:51 - The second thing COVID-19 has taught me the importance of having a network of people who understand what it is you do 9:32 - The third thing I learned: it’s ok to grieve Check out Jim Fortin’s Master Class about the Law of Attraction here Thanks for tuning in today! Your inner voice...my FAVORITE topic!
We’re here today to talk about your inner voice. Is it your greatest enemy or is it your greatest ally? This is something that has made a huge difference not only in my life but in my business and my success. Have you ever done any exercise or work around identifying what your inner voice is telling you? One of the trends I'm seeing in Facebook groups among new entrepreneurs, in particular, is they are getting into these cycles of, "What do I talk about?", "Will anyone want to hear what I have to say?", "Will anyone value what I have to say?", "Is it valuable?". And many times the advice we receive is to just push through it. And sometimes, pushing through is the right answer. I’m going to explain why pushing through that negative self-talk works. I'll also go into detail about where your inner voice comes from, the two different types of negative self-talk, and what you can do to stop it if it is not serving YOU. 2:00 - The negative self-talk trend I see among new entrepreneurs 3:35 - The first place negative self-talk comes from 7:48 - Different reasons negative self-talk may start 9:45 - A simple practice I use when my inner voice becomes negative 12:14 - The second form of negative self-talk 14:15 - My challenge for you to help you remove your barriers Thanks for tuning in today! Is your former career training blocking your success?
Penny Chiasson here, welcome to Design Your Destiny. In today’s episode, I am sharing with you how your past career training could be blocking your entrepreneurial success. If you’re like many of my clients you moved away from your previous career because you found a different passion. Or perhaps, you decided to take the skill set you have and want to package and deliver it according to your own values and vision in your own business. There are great opportunities to learn and grow as an employee or solopreneur, but the way of being that makes you successful in those roles will not get you to the higher level of success as the joyful CEO of your life and business. 1:50 - The role internal awareness plays in our entrepreneurial success 4:30 - The question I ask myself to rediscover my true nature as a leader 6:50 - The training and career experience I had to be aware of to shift into my role as the joyful CEO 9:00 - How awareness has allowed me to top blocking my success and shift into creating a life of desire Remember, self-awareness is not a one time exercise, this introspection is an ongoing practice that is necessary as you design your life the way that you want to live it. How to create success by working backward from your vision
If you don’t know me, I’m Penny. I’m a board-certified hypnotist and the CEO of a very successful international hypnosis practice. This didn’t happen overnight, it took some work on my part. Today I’m sharing what I’ve learned, and what I’ve put into practice so I was able to walk away from a six-figure anesthesia job and walk into a multi six-figure hypnosis practice. How holding my vision allowed me to create success by working backward. 1:50 - Let’s start by thinking about your dreams 4:30 - The first step in designing your destiny, working backward 7:45 - Once you have your vision, look at your own talents and what brings you joy 9:00 - Create your success by working backward from that vision 12:00 - Who do I have to be? 15:00 - Getting clear on your vision is how you decide your destiny Thanks for tuning in today! My Journey to Becoming a Joyful CEO
On today’s podcast episode I want to take you on my journey to becoming a joyful CEO. One of the things that I've learned in my journey to CEO is that we don't have to be stressed, stuck in burnout in constantly working hard, to grow a successful business that is aligned with our desires. Our biology makes it easy to fall into these thoughtless patterns that we do not even recognize we are engaged in. Sometimes these patterns are very easily habituated without our awareness because of long forgotten past experiences. One of the things that was a valuable lesson I learned in my years of the anesthesia, is to identify what it is that you don't know so that you can know it because lives were are the line. I knew that there were things that I did not know about being a business owner. Once I knew those things, I realized I want to be more than a hypnosis practitioner with a business, I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Then I learned about this thing called a CEO mindset. I stumbled across someone that told me that hard work does not equal money. I continued on this path of reframing my own beliefs of using hypnosis as my own tool to release limiting beliefs, to create new habits, to allow myself to be open to the idea that I can have a successful business, a joyful business without working all the time. Most struggling entrepreneurs and business leaders at all levels of success sometimes have similar thoughts and beliefs. These patterns originate in the subconscious at different levels of success, they manifest differently, but it all boils down to some of the same similar beliefs. On this podcast, I am going to bring my 25 years of nursing and anesthesia experience, six years as a board certified hypnotist and my real life experiences of my own CEO journey to a multi six figure business to help you design your destiny. I am going to bring you actionable and thought-provoking episodes, so that on a subconscious level, you can align with your desires. You will become aware of how the subconscious influences your ability to move forward in business with a feeling of peace in ease, allowing things to just come to you, to be able to focus, have clarity, and make decisions without that constant underlying hesitation or tension
