Through contrast and comparison, I learn what's right for me. So the older I get the more you can bet, I'm the best that I can be. What I would like to tie into this report that I didn't really get to is Mars making his 3/4 square to Neptune. The 270-degree square signals a time when the native (or collective) has reached a culmination or peak in the social expression of the original evolutionary impulse and now needs to release what they have achieved within the limits of that society in order to individuate further. When we apply this to the Mars/Neptune cycle of approximately two years, we see that a new vision, seed, or desire to penetrate (Mars) the higher spiritual realms (Neptune) began in mid-June of 2020 with the conjunction. This may also have been a time when Spirit (Neptune) was the cause or instigator (Mars) of events in your earthly/ego life. This attempt(s) to unite personal will with divine love has now reached or achieved as much as possible in its current expression. It needs to change. It's time to liberate ourselves from old limiting conditions, beliefs, and relationships in order to "bump it up." This square, coinciding with Venus' underworld transformation, reflects that this is a time period of major change in the way we love, how we wish to be loved, and in our loving relationships. We are being sculpted, shaped, formed, and refined into better versions of ourselves, ever more able (and hopefully willing) to give and receive love on ever-deepening levels in ever-deepening relationships. The Sun, the Moon and the Stars, Tell me there is a plan, For me and you and what to do, And when to take a stand. OK! A traumatic Pele Report experience dealing with boundaries. With my 12th house stellium, I will say I don’t like limits and err on the side of oneness. However, life is a great teacher, and it is teaching me to not only stand and hold my own boundaries but look for, identify, and respect other people’s! However, I will also say that I’m slightly traumatized by the angry, aggressive, and abusive language this lady used (with a 7-year-old girl at her side!) to kick my “sorry @#$” outta there! Missing the Pura Vida of Costa Rica these days! Anyway, this personal experience can be broadened to a collective experience as we see governments worldwide encroaching upon individual citizens’ rights. We can see the apparent boundaries of muzzle mandates, little stickers on floors telling people to stay away from each other, plastic “shields” between checkouts and children’s school desks, etc. I see this division as a deliberate attempt to tear apart the social fabric that connects, unites, and strengthens us. As humans, we are social beings. At this juncture of not only the end of a year but the end of an age, it behooves us to remember and review our past, both personal and collective. It is a learning process, as the balsamic phase will always bring up any and all issues that have not been resolved in the previous cycle so that they may be integrated before the beginning of the next cycle. In this way, we learn from the past and don’t need to repeat lessons. I’m certainly reminded of Hitler, his totalitarian takeover that resulted in horror. I have to let go of my pride, fear and control, To bare my soul to you. Yet when I do, I see me through you, As a heart full of love so true. All you need is love, this week's song is a poignant reminder as Venus unites with Pluto of just how fundamental love is to our experience of ourselves and life. As I discuss in the report, instead of this being a "Holly Jolly Christmas," it may have a few undertones of a "Melancholy Christmas." The stripping away down to "the heart of the matter" (maybe another good song for this week) can leave us feeling vulnerable but also soft, sweet, open, and blessed. Maybe go through your old photos, feelings, memories, and relationships with a heart to bless all that has brought you to where you are now. Also, as mentioned, this Venus/Pluto will manifest in one of three ways: your most intimate relationship(s) transform, end, or a powerful new one begins. Coupled with the Saturn/Uranus square, this becomes a volatile time full of unpredictable changes. Maintaining our faith in Love and its powerful wisdom to guide our life can help us navigate these times with a more even keel amidst the stormy seas. As a guardian of the truth, I know it and speak it and see, When lies are used to take away, Freedom, choice, and autonomy.  It's a jam-packed week with the Moon waxing to full and the Solstice on its way! It feels like an extraordinary time when the veils are thinner than usual, and there is greater interaction between worlds that can be both "light" and "dark."  Brilliant, new, previously unseen connections can be made between seemingly unconnected things, people, and events in our lives. AND entities and spiritual forces who do not have our best interests in "mind" can also influence those of weaker or less awakened consciousness. Mars on Ketu, the south node of the Moon in Sagittarius, describes this situation. As both information and misinformation continue to flood our airwaves around the world and the Moon waxes into full, we will see more polarization happening both within and without.  Polarization is a 3rd-dimensional phenomenon that helps us focus (like a camera lens) and clarify for ourselves more precisely who we are, what we need to evolve, and what choices are best for our soul intentions. However, when brought to the extremes, it can easily tip off balance, create conflict and cause harm. I am a work in progress, And so is the rest of the world. As disappointed as I can get, I will continue to work for the good. As usual, there is always more to talk about! Today's report discussed personal growth and the world political scene. On other levels, Venus also "rules" money, and Pluto "rules" massive wealth. So we will also see massive shifts of wealth (we already are) upward to those in authoritative positions and institutes/corporations financial, pharmaceutical, and otherwise over these next few months. You have to look where this falls in your chart to see where you might make some money! On another level, Venus "rules" love and relationship. This is a profoundly transformative time in our personal relationship realm as Pluto also "rules" transformation, endings (including death), and rebirth (as in beginning new, deeply transformative relationships with intense people!). These next four months may bring the end of existing relationships that no longer serve the evolutionary path of the souls involved. These endings will have a financial impact on the parties involved for either gain or loss. Again, you need to look at your chart and meditate on your karma regarding these situations. The main thing to remember where Pluto is involved is to remain in integrity, as tempting as it is to try to get "your own way" in difficult situations, partings, and meetings. It's time to rejoice and count my blessings, As I see and have named the beast. Armed with knowing where we're going, I can sound the alarm at least. Yup, it's the lunar eclipse square Jupiter! A time of illumination occurring simultaneously with Mars the warrior, opposite Uranus the awakener. If this doesn't rattle our cages, nothing will. Spirit and matter are woven together, Just like life and death, One I can touch, taste, smell and see, The other is Love, health, and breath. You may be feeling those Scorpio blues, and that’s alright. It’s better than “alright,” it IS. You are, I am, we all are, HUMAN. And as humans, we feel and have a right to feel, and some of those feelings don’t always feel good, but it’s good to feel them anyway. Honor them, and feel the blessing of being alive to them cuz they are what makes you alive. Sometimes other people, groups, institutions, bosses, family, or governments don’t wanna hear about your feelings (like when the Moon and Saturn gang up in Aquarius in square to Mercury and Mars this week). The path to a heightened loving consciousness, Is a road filled with bumps and holes. But the difficult conversations serve, To open my heart, heal my wounds, And let go of longstanding hurts. So probably the best intention to do ceremony with for this new Moon is just to let go of what is no longer serving your soul’s growth, whatever that looks like, while remaining open and willing to invite in that which does. Most certainly, sometimes the challenge is to know the difference, LOL! I feel that holding that intention going into the new lunar cycle helps me trust what comes to me through the cycle. Even if, as I mentioned in the report, it could be a “good talking to,” that comes, is uncomfortable or worse, these are the days to have the more profound truths revealed to us and reveal our own deeper truths to others. You may also feel like revealing someone else’s deeper truth to them too! I'm living in the paradox, Both powerful and powerless, The more careful I am with what I take in, The easier life will be to digest. Mars joining the Sun in Scorpio underlines the reality that things are not as they appear. Scorpio knows better than to trust and give yourself away blindly. In this week's mantra, "careful" simply means mindfulness, awareness, and consciousness. I have now had enough, Of being told what is right and wrong. I am a powerful sovereign being, And will follow the beat of my drum. It was really around December of 2020 and January of this year that Jupiter and Saturn conjoined, and choices, decisions, opportunities, and restrictions were started, agreed to, or initiated. Now, through Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius, we are beginning to see some of the feedback, reverberation, and consequences of the actions taken throughout the year. This is on both a personal and collective level. "What Goes Around, Comes Around," and we will all be getting the results of our efforts returned now, for better or ill. On the collective level, we have been further repressed, subjugated, disempowered, and disregarded by the governments who are owned by special interests. This is affecting us on economic (financial), emotional (more stress and a constant barrage of bad news), mental (anxiety caused by information overload and a constantly changing legal terrain), and spiritual levels (family, friends, and loved based relationships breaking up along with everything else makes it harder to clear the mind and connect). The astrology of the coming few months reflects an uneasy energy building that wants to be released, freedoms regained, lies exposed, and perpetrators held accountable for the damage they have done and are continuing to do. If the populace's division, misinformation, and abuse escalates further, revolution is a very real possibility. A revolution may serve to not only restore stolen liberties but install new systems and institutions that guarantee this type of unhealthy, greed and power based, patriarchal capitalism, is laid to rest once and for all. I have been re-grounded, Now it's time to start again, Turn on the lights, roll the camera, And let the games begin. Yes indeed, these days remind me of a North American football game where the team has four "downs," and after each of the first three downs (when they get tackled without losing the ball), they gather together in a huddle to figure out their next play. These are the days to get together with like-minded souls, make game plans, and get ready to launch new enterprises. We need to huddle with others, share ideas, goals, thoughts, and beliefs and build our forces to execute our plans. With the right amount of courage and fortitude, we can both heal our own wounds regarding self-acceptance and our ability to receive and then proceed to share our medicine with others. In this way, the power of love will spread across the entire planet like the ripples on a still pond after a stone has been thrown into the middle. To love and to be loved, Is the profoundest gift of all. When I open and give my heart to another, I am blessed as well. Indeed, the fruit tree grows and ripens its fruit and then gives it all away. We can be likened to a fruit tree as our lives are all about building ourselves and hopefully giving our gifts away! We’ve been building for a while now, and after the harvest of Virgo comes the sharing of Libra. This can be exciting if we are confident in and value our gifts, or a bit scary if we live in poverty consciousness and fear running low or out. One way or the other, the sense of belonging, of loving and being loved, is the “stuff” life is made of, what movies, music, poems, and books are written about. “Love makes the world go around.” Truly, love is the experience of being united/one with “All That Is,” Source, Creator, or God/dess. My power to stand, ask for, and be, What I want has been wounded through time. The sooner I honor and speak my truth, The sooner I'll get what is mine. Darn! I forgot a point I wanted to make in the report! An interesting note to this theme of self-assertion is that if/when EVERYONE is sovereign and asserting their truth, it is a heck of a lot easier! I always remember the scene in Oliver Twist when the orphan youth goes back up to the cook serving gruel and says, "Please, sir, I want some more!" Well, he gets kicked out of the orphanage as the one and only orphan asking for more. Self-assertion can upset external authority figures, but it can also disturb those wounded and afraid to assert their own needs and desires. Then our independent warrior can be severely judged, condemned, and executed by his/her own peers! When consciousness, hearts, and socio-cultural-religious norms expand to include all the diverse expressions of what it is to be human, then we shall be liberated to express our needs and desires more freely. So, in the end, it is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, we need to assert ourselves more freely, and on the other, we need to tolerate, accept, and even encourage our brothers and sisters to do the same! Then may we all live in Libra's peace and harmony. This brings me to the second song for this week. There is an attack now taking place, On the entire human race, If I ignore, avoid or deny it, I will live and die in disgrace. Welcome to Libra the Scales! The mighty Sun is joining the warrior Mars in the sign of justice, law, equality, and diplomatic communication. I see more clearly everyday, What freedom truly is. My body is my temple, Not a petri dish. This is a good week for critical thinking! Critical thinking can lead to making critical choices. Critical choices around what relationships are feeding us, and what relationships are no longer assisting us on our evolutionary journey. This is a week probably best described as "get the house in order, company is coming!" The house can be our physical house, our physical body, our emotional body, and our mental body/thoughts. And of course, as the mantra reflects, we may also need to make a critical choice regarding our health. As always, the best choice is the natural choice, in alignment with natural law. Nature is healthy, spending time in nature, eating and drinking organic, natural foods and drinks, getting some natural exercise, and thinking about how to best live a natural life while taking steps to do it! Relationship is the garden, Where love is planted and grows, It both takes and gives the water of life, And tells the truth I need to know. Whew! It feels like I did one of these yesterday. The time is flying by so fast. This morning I lay in bed far too long trying to think up a mantra because it just wasn't coming. Finally, I got up to do my yoga, and rather than put on my regular chants, I thought I would try something different. I went to Spotify and put on the "428HZ Frequency Healing Meditation Music." WOW, dropped down into the heart space, let go of the mind (got the image of the mind as the train running over the egg), and truly "felt." Such a Mercury opposite Chiron (today) experience! To stay in that heart space and feel, I knew I had to keep the computer and phone off, slow down (even walking down the stairs slower), and not start thinking ahead to all that needed to get done today. I watched myself and focused on surrender, letting go, and listening to the sounds of nature all around me. I know the world is in crisis, and I don't wish to avoid or deny it. Yet my own growth and evolution involves developing the discipline necessary to balance the "inner" with the "outer," living, and paying equal attention to both the "periphery" and the "center." A crisis is a turning point, Forcing me to decide, What is most important to me, And who I am deep inside. Oh, Shoot! I used the Natasha chart instead of today's transits!! One addition to this rather lengthy Pele Report is the phenomena of Mars trining Pluto and Venus squaring Pluto both simultaneously! Pluto, the force of evolution, is actually the go-between for the Mars/Neptune opposition and is calling for more discipline and putting more controls on us by the minute. While this can cause us to feel powerless, it can also be the pressure we need to take a stand and assert our true desires. The 3/4 Venus square indicates a "becoming conscious" of our need to be true to ourselves within our relationships, not be bullied or controlled, even if it means moving on from that (or those) relationships. With this New Moon, now is a perfect time to make some profound, positive changes in our lives that may be difficult for us now but which we will be very grateful for in the future. There is an underground living network, Connecting all life on earth, As I listen with my whole body, I know what, when, and where is my work. Life is breathing in and out, Sitting in silence then giving a shout. If I only do one and neglect the other, I lose my balance and am torn asunder. After hitting the stop button and walking back to my micro-hut, I had more thoughts concerning the healing of the masculine. What I can say is that just about all of us have a wounded masculine after experiencing many lifetimes with wounded leaders, parents, and siblings. However, each has been wounded in unique ways with individual responses to those wounds. In the video, it may have sounded like we should all chill out, stop taking, desiring, and wanting so much. But this is only one wound and one response. There's also the wound of "I don't deserve to get what I want, so why bother asking?" There is a virus of the mind, That will take those who do not yet know, That we must each individuate, Or risk losing all control. This week, with all the Virgo energy and inconjuncts to Saturn, we may feel blocked from fully expressing ourselves, our thoughts, and our truth. Saturn, co-ruler of Aquarius, is very powerful through these times and symbolizes the need for us to REFLECT. We may unconsciously create these closed doors or blocked pathways that force us to simply sit with ourselves. Approached with the right attitude, this can lead to profound insights and life changes. I will not be shamed, forced, or coerced, But will follow my voice within. Knowing that I am guided, And not subject to other's whims. There comes a time when enough is enough, and this is one of those times. It's time to draw a line in the sand (or wherever there is a line needing to be drawn)! "This is OK, that is not, this is me, that is not, I'll do this, not that, take this, not that..." You can fill in a few more, I believe! This process can be exhilarating or nerve-racking, and terrifying, depending on you. I will also say, depending on the amount of self-knowledge and self-love you have managed to gather through life. The time has come, for each of us, to take a stand. According to who we are, what we believe, and what we want our lives and earth to look and feel like both now and in the future. We are at a tipping point. However, unlike a teeter-totter that will go one way or the other the instant there is an unbalance, this tipping point could go on for several years as 8 billion people figure it out. I really need to breathe, and push, and believe, Because now is the time to give birth. It's up to me, not he or she, To bring my light to earth. Honestly, I can't say much more than I did in the Pele Report right now (it was a long one, eh)! Besides not mentioning La Luna moving through Aries (push), Taurus (make real), and Gemini (spread the good word), I didn't go too much into the T-square of Mercury and the Sun opposite Saturn BOTH squaring Uranus. There is a way of living, In peace and harmony. Not fighting what is, But being the change, That people are longing to see. It has to do with going beyond, What people claim to be true, And opening up to an infinite world, That lives within me and you. Well, that's a long one! You may need to intuit just how that emerged out of the celestial symphony this morning, LOL! But really, The Yod, or Finger of God aspect being created this weekend with Venus/Mars quincunx both Neptune and Pluto (pause the report at 0:20 to see) has an air of destiny to it. They are 150 degrees separating from Neptune (infinite Spirit), indicating an adjustment as they "leave heaven" (Neptune). They are 210 degrees away from (actually approaching) Pluto (god of the underworld). This is so reflective of the Sabian symbol "An airplane performing a nose dive," that I refer to in the report that it's unbelievable, eh? The "resolution point" of the Yod is opposite to Venus and Mars up there in Aquarius. Aquarius is the archetype of Prometheus, the light-bearer, and has to do with a future, liberated, enlightened, world. I suggest that each of us find this world within BEFORE trying to create it, rush it, or push it outside of ourselves lest we fail, as depicted in the Sabian symbol for Chiron's station. It's up to me, as old as I am, To care for the child within. I laugh and cry, fall down and fly, Embracing it all thick or thin. It's an emotional time! And that feels like a roller coaster of extreme emotions right now as not only the new Moon in Cancer brings them up but Venus in square to Uranus (the planet of sudden radical change). From the adult witness/observer, we "let the children play," knowing that whatever mood or feeling is dominant now will be replaced with another by and however. However, that doesn't make it any less intense, and there can be important information seeking recognition, so try and sit with these feelings. Better yet, talk to them and ask them what they want! As I mentioned in the report, the energy will be lightening up as la Luna moves into Leo, first joins, and then passes Venus and Mars, uniting in the sunny rays of Leo. When I am blocked, stopped, Under pressure or delayed, I review all my plans, So I don't go astray. Welcome to Mars, Saturn, Uranus territory, the land of the sharp, steel sword. This is like one of those college entrance exams where you file in, no talking, take your seat, are given only a pencil, the timer is set, and the stone-faced man at the front keeps a close eye out for cheaters. Are you ready? Did you study? Are you nervous or afraid? Are you REALLY up to it? What's it all about? For? Why bother? Where will it get me? Do I really WANT to "advance?" My unconscious is the potter, Shaping and molding me, Adding to and taking away, Until I'm all I can be. Pluto, the unconscious Soul, Neptune the collective unconscious, and Uranus the personal unconscious constitute a major reason why I am a tropical astrologer versus vedic. These three factors in the horoscope take the fate versus free will conversation to a whole new level! Then, once we add that Spirit, our personal Spirit, and Great Spirit exist within the personal and collective unconscious, we begin to see the power of astrology and all forms of connecting the ego to the unconscious (yoga, meditation, plant medicine, etc.). This expansion of the conscious ego into the unconscious realm will affect every aspect of our lives. We will see the synchronicity, the projections, the intentions, and the evolutionary impulses more clearly and be able to choose and act more in alignment. Our relationships will lighten up as they no longer need to "carry" our projections as each partner owns their "stuff." Pain and suffering will lessen as it will take fewer "reminders" that we are off track with our unconscious soul intentions, and the world will be a better place as we open our hearts with love and compassion. Sometimes Life requires that I, Let go of something dear. I can cry, cling, and resist, Or have faith take the place of my fear. I remember a few different comedy acts where the clown or comedian frantically tries to keep together something (or someone) that is falling apart. They slap a piece back in place as more fall off the other side, and they run around to the other side, and as they're putting that side back together, the other side falls apart. You get the idea that it could go on endlessly, but that no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't keep it together. That's what we may be feeling like after that eclipse in Gemini! Our ego-mind wants to "keep it together," maintain, remain, make strong. However, just like a sandcastle built on the beach, it only takes one wave to wash it away when the tide comes in. One of the kundalini mantras is "All things come from God, and all things go to God." My shadow is like a cave full of bats, Silently waiting in the dark. A part of me that will break free, And shock me awake with a start. Can we welcome the solar eclipse when the Moon breaks the auric field of protection around the earth, enabling souls and spirit beings from distant space into our space/time continuum? It's like a Uranus transit (which is exactly square Saturn, too) or Halloween! The ghosts and goblins come out, the skeletons in the closet of our subconscious rattle their bones. We see some shadows that maybe we don't want to see, and they scare us. This eclipse happening in Gemini makes me want to rewrite the description of that archetype for the new paradigm. Just as Virgo has undergone an "update," from prudish librarian to empowered woman, so too Gemini needs an upgrade from the puer/puella eternus (eternal youth), that is "just" Mercurial and a jovial trickster, to a key player(s) on the path of soul evolution. Besides looking back to 2002 when the same eclipse pattern occurred last, we can also look back just three months when the Sun joined Neptune in Pisces, the spiritual dream. I am sick and tired, Of doing what I'm told to do. I've got to be free if I'm to be me, And get into something new. OK! I won't say get ready for some fireworks even though that's possible this Saturday with la Luna transiting through fiery Aries. It will be more of a time of covert, challenging to express/speak emotional intensity going on this weekend. We can focus on the positive results that can emerge out of the swamp of conflicting feelings. So many of us have been taught that irrational feelings don't make sense and we should not honor/respect/follow them that some of us may write them off to our own peril. We ARE our feelings in contrast to HAVING our thoughts... let's put first things first! The second point to stress here is what I got to at the end of the report. With Mercury retrograde, now is a better time to discuss, contemplate, and clarify these emotional needs more than impulsively or explosively ACTING on them. The importance of a spiritual life, Cannot be stressed enough, If I want to live and die in peace, It will come by sharing my love. Happy Lunar Eclipse! I hope you navigate the powerful emotional waves brought on with the Moon conjunct her own south node. First, I would like to say that it's OK to be afraid! This is a highly emotional time where memories, dreams, and reflections will bring up past (possibly traumas) for conscious review. Let them rise and let them go. If you are not afraid, you may want to look at what you might be repressing, avoiding, denying, or simply out of touch with within your own inner child. My reality is a living experience, Of what I think and believe. I must reject all that's not true, If I'm ever to really be free. Indeed, we are all trying to live our dreams, but sometimes they turn into nightmares. That's when we know there is more to our reality than our conscious intentions. The south node in Sag (Ketu in Vedic astrology, which has a negative/evil interpretation) brings up from the past all the collective beliefs for us to review, own, or reject as who we are. We are bombarded daily with different views, many with emotional energy tied to them (MOON'S node!). Careful not to succumb! In these times of important choices, we may find that our beliefs are very different from even our loved ones. Thoughts and beliefs combine with soul impulses and desires, resulting in plans and decisions. When these are in conflict, chaos results, and our external reality reflects that chaos. If you are not experiencing your dream anywhere in your life, look within to see if there are subconscious, leftover beliefs undermining your conscious intentions. I reserve the right to change my mind, As I learn more than I know. It doesn't mean I can't be trusted, But that I'm willing to grow. We're running the tightrope here between getting in touch with our deepest, personal truth (new Moon in Taurus) and not getting stubbornly fixated on it to the exclusion of hearing others. The more I truly love myself, Exactly as I am, The more I heal my deepest wounds, And become a medicine man. Or "medicine person," to be clear, it just doesn't rhyme as well. Anyway, the point is that the more we accept where we are, the more inner strength and courage we have to become. And the more we take the hero/heroine's journey inward to "virgin fields of consciousness," the more wisdom and medicine we have to contribute to the community. This journey into self may involve breaking away, letting others down, not living up to expectations, being criticized, judged, and maybe even condemned. Self-love and the dream of a brighter future full of love are the fuel to assist us, as Charioteers, to set off on that journey. Lilith, now conjunct the Sun and Uranus at this "Beltane point," is there to assist us in facing that which we have repressed to meet the expectations of others. Suppression leads to distortion and anger, so we may initially (at least) bump into some of that! Anger can also be fuel to help us make the change and dissipate as that which has been suppressed is no longer. I can project, And live outside myself, Or take responsibility, To build more health and wealth. ☉ Welcome, Taurus with Uranus riding the bull! In merging all the different aspects and cycles interweaving together at this time, I am both excited for profound revelation and realizing the need to surrender and allow it to arise within me instead of chasing/hunting for it. The seed from Aries is now planted in the soil of Taurus and needs to be allowed to grow... not pushed. While it's not time to push, it's also not time to be pushed! The farther down the rabbit hole, the greater the opportunity for "advanced soul work," leading to profound self-realization. We are deeply challenged in oh so many ways, as I spoke of in this video with the discovery of Eris reflecting our readiness, on a collective soul level, to uncover, deal with, integrate, and heal on ever-deeper levels of our psycho-spiritual nature. Therefore, as astrologers/researchers, the key to this time is to observe and note what new strengths and awareness are now needed/developing to deal with the current threats to our existence, freedom, and expression? What "muscle" is getting tugged, pulled, or needing strengthening? At least for now, I'm going to say it is brazen self-confidence "for no reason." It's not about needing to produce or needing to justify, or needing to prove ourselves anymore, but more about boldly putting ourselves out there "just because we are/I am." That beautiful Ram energy represents the beginning of everything new. It's open, spontaneous, wild, and courageous, so let those be keywords for the month. It's simple and straightforward, not convoluted and conniving, so we can also add that. More specifically, we want to add in a touch of self-forgiveness for this week if we try/want something and it doesn't go. We're all just in kindergarten earth so if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Let it go, don't let it get you down. In a way, I'm feeling the energy of the Chariot card in the Tarot, where The Charioteer is gazing down into the Holy Grail in meditative preparation to set off on his journey. It reminds me of my axiom for 2021 in general: "The Year of Initiation in Preparation for Creative Manifestation." The paradox is that we are all alone and setting off on our destinies, AND we are all one, tiny parts of the great big puzzle without which the puzzle is not complete. Mercury coming to Chiron wants to penetrate the mysteries of healing separation while simultaneously adding a new, unique identity to the mix of creation. Perhaps we expand and complete the puzzle of creation by discovering and expressing our unique genius. We gotta break away from the crowd to return with fuel to feed it. Blessings on your genius! There's a lot of noise in the atmosphere, That I don't need to hear, As I'm busy creating a life I love, I focus on what I hold dear. ☉ Once again, I forgot to mention this week's song! See if you can guess it from the chorus: "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run." If you guessed Kenny Roger's "The Gambler," you guessed right! Of course, we've been riding through the old "wild west" and listening to some good 'ol country tunes, but I still feel like it fits the energetics of this week. While gambling "falls" under Leo and the 5th house in astrology, we all need to gamble with life whenever we start something new. Having the Sun, Venus, Chiron, Lilith, Eris, and soon Mercury in Aries, the sign of new beginnings and spontaneous new desires emerging, it's time to take the gamble! And that leads me to the second song for this week's (month's) energy: "Burning Down the House." It's time to trust that we are strong enough, smart enough, and powerful enough to build a better house out of the ashes of the old. That sometimes, fire needs to torch the existing structures to clean the slate and start over from scratch. If any sign is gonna do it, it's Aries, so let the timid beware, the full Moon in Libra (peace and harmony) has given way to Scorpio (death and release of the past). Both Aries and Scorpio are ruled by Mars, the warrior, symbolizing the bravery and courage we need to summon up to pull this off. Of course, there will always be reasons and people, fears, and doubts that need to be overcome. These are part and parcel of any new beginning (or initiation, for that matter). Will we (you) be stopped? Will you trust your gut and follow your heart or be smothered, bound, and chained? ”Nothing ventured, nothing gained" is an old saying that Aries (as well as Leo, Sag, and a couple of other signs) will totally relate to. And yes, you can bet some fireworks are gonna fly as Lilith and Eris join forces to combat (square) the old power brokers (Pluto in Capricorn). Let's remember that what falls apart comes together again, but in a new, hopefully, more enlightened, way. Bring it on! In times of uncertain chaos, When the future remains unclear, I center myself in the core of the earth, As Gaia knows no fear. ☉ Here we go again! The energy will be building through this weekend, just like the Moon will be growing fuller and fuller until full! The emotions will be growing stronger as long-repressed feelings rise like the lava in the Iceland volcano. The energy of rising to rebel against imposed limitations (whether real or imagined) is intense and needs to be dealt with. It's up to each of us to determine just how we manage these emotions, project them, be driven wild by them, or delve down to the roots and liberate/heal/embrace them. One way leads to blame, resentment, and acts of revenge, while the other leads to peaceful evolution. The choice is ours. Whichever way we go, this new 584-day Venus cycle, beginning as it is on the full Moon with the Sun/Venus conjunct Chiron, starts with chaos. As the old structures that are no longer able to contain the new energy fail, breakup, and breakdown with last ditch efforts to remain relevant. Some sad sites may be seen and felt as the disorientated wander, strikeout, and cry for help when confronting aspects of themselves and life they don't have the means, teachings, or loving guidance to comprehend. The more we can stand as pillars of hope and strength for those scared, angry, depressed, or seeking escape, the sooner we will together build new structures, new institutions and find new ways to live in a more enlightened, free, and loving world.
