My perspective on what constitutes 'real work' has humorously evolved, especially in light of managing a newborn's needs. However, it’s always a joy to bring you this show and I’m happy to be back to share my insights and perspectives on House-Call Dentistry. In this episode, I’m addressing a question I received from a brand-new Doc. The Listener wrote in to ask, “If I haven't completed a residency, can I still be a House-Call dentist"? The short answer to this question is yes There is no certification or training to become a House-Call Dentist. My GPR helped me become more confident working with medically complex patients, and it gave me a lot of relevant experiences to make this work easier for me. I definitely think residencies are very helpful, however, while formal education and residencies hold value, nothing compares to hands-on experience, especially in House-Call Dentistry! Every Doc’s path is unique of course but sometimes, practical experience can surpass theoretical learning.  Speaking of learning, In this episode I also break down my new role at The University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. One day a week I’ll be aiming to demystify House-Call Dentistry for students while helping to educate them on broader access to care. This is an exciting opportunity for me and in many ways an extension of the work that I’ve been doing with Dental House Call Practice Academy. If you’re not familiar with (DHCPA), it’s an online course designed to guide dentists in establishing their own House-Call practices. By outlining the benefits and flexibility of this model, I hope to inspire dentists to explore alternative career paths.  I envision a future where dental home care is normalized within the profession, a change made possible by the pioneering efforts of current and future dentists. You may have heard that over the past couple of summers, we've been spending a little bit of time in the mountains, specifically in a sleepy little ski resort called Morzine. And after decades of enjoying ski holidays in the winter, we thought, let's go check out what all the fuss is about for mountain summer holidays. We had an absolute blast. And in the process, we were lucky enough to meet a family who run a business called Reach 4 the Alps in Morzine. They've been doing it since 2000, so over 20 years now.And in today's episode, I get the chance to catch up with Gina, one half of the business and family partnership that has been running that company for those 20-plus years. And we get to talk about a whole bunch of different things. I mean, at its core, it's a service accommodation business, hence the relevance. But I know a lot of us are investing in property to do other things with our lives, right? Property is not the end, it is the means to that end. But maybe we could combine the two.Maybe we could enjoy a different lifestyle, a different way of life, a different geographic location, or just something that we are more passionate about by investing in property in a way that allows us to have fun at the same time, which is exactly what Gina and Marcus have been doing - investing in a place that they love so that they can ski several times a week, they can enjoy that mountain life throughout the summer as well, raise their kids in a great location with all of that outdoor lifestyle. That specifically may or may not appeal to you. It doesn't matter, but I think what is important is that we can create a life, we can create a business that is built around what we want to achieve, what is important to us, and what makes us happy.So hopefully you get some inspiration, whether it's about the service to accommodation side of the business, which includes some owned ski chalets as well as some rent-to-rent stuff, or just to get some creative juices flowing in your own mind about what a property business that works for you could look like. It appears that another weekly AEW TV show is coming sooner than later, according to a new report from F4Wonline. The news was first revealed on the Saturday edition of the "Mat Men" podcast by Andrew Zarian. Also, WWE is meeting with potential buyers for the first time in April for a possible sale of the company but we already know its not about the sale of the company for Vince McMahon. AEW is in the process of sitting down with The Elite ( Matt, Nick Jackson, and Kenny Omega) to sign them to new long term contracts.
