Hacking’s Hack:Read 5AM Club- I’ve been getting up at 5 and its made a big change on my productivity and outlook. Tyson’s Tip:Transferwise. Transferwise lets you easily pay virtual assistants when you’re not going through Upwork or a similar platform. Robert’s Tip:Hold your attorneys accountable with data and coach them on their weak areas. Keep your phone consults to 8-10 minutes-give them a reason to schedule an appointment.Confirm appointments 1-3 business days from the call. https://hoglundlaw.com/attorney/robert-hoglund/ For more content from us please subscribe to our Youtube Channel Don’t forget to sign up for MaxLawCon20! The introduction alone is worth the investment. Tyson’s Tip:It’s summertime, we’re in the middle of June, things start to slow down, take a little time and sharpen the saw. Use this time to refine yourself and your craft. “Old School is the New School for Solo Marketing” w/ Jim Hart
Today on the show we have Jim Hart, owner of the Hart Law Firm, a divorce practice based in North Carolina. In this episode we’ll discuss hiring “empty-bucket” vs. “full-bucket” employees, Jim’s experience with Atticus coaching, and struggling with delegating and growing. https://jameshartlaw.com/ Hacking’s Hack:I’m reading a book called “Scaling Up”, talking about growth he said that once you reach 5-6 employees you have to start delegating things you are not good at, but once you reach 10-15 you have to start delegating things you are good at. The thing that the entrepreneur is the best at becomes the weakness because the entrepreneur doesn’t want to let go. Tyson’s Tip:Take a 4-week vacation, disconnect from the business, and enjoy the vacation. It forces you to get your systems in place so that you can take this kind of vacation. Jim’s Tip:We all have CRM’s we use, something that I’ve done is I use Less Annoying CRM just for managing referral relationships, separate from the CRM I use for my potential clients. Automating Your Billing Process with Sarah Schaaf Pop-Up Episode
Visit MaximumLawyer.com for complete show notes of each podcast episode, tips, hacks and more resources! Today on the show we have Sarah Schaaf, lawyer and CEO of Headnote. We’ll discuss Headnote, advice to lawyer parents, working in the legal field vs the tech field, and more. Sarah has worked at a variety of firms and see the whole gamut of billing methods by law firms. What’s happening right now for most law firms is they send an invoice out and wait to see if they get a check a few weeks to months later. There’s a series of meetings and awkward collection calls, but in reality there is a lot of vagueness around the status of each funnel from collection to payment.Headnote tracks all of these steps so your firm is wasting less time making collection calls and comparing notes and more time focusing on practicing the law. Get $30 of free transaction fees from Headnote at: https://headnote.com/maxlawyer/ Reach out to Sarah at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahkschaaf/ Make sure to register for MaxLawCon19, June 6 and 7 in St.Louis.
