E93 - The Three Pillars to a Strong Podcast Presence - Audio, Video and Written Word
E93 - The Three Pillars to a Strong Podcast Presence - Audio, Video and Written Word
As a podcaster, being active in three different mediums—audio, video, and written word—can significantly benefit your content creation, audience engagement, and overall reach. Here's an elaboration on each medium along with examples and reasons why it's important to be active in all three instances:
Audio:
Audio is the primary medium for podcasting, and it allows you to create immersive and engaging content through spoken word. By focusing on high-quality audio production, you can captivate your listeners and deliver valuable information, stories, and conversations. Here are some examples of being active in the audio medium:
Publishing regular podcast episodes with well-crafted content and professional audio quality.
Incorporating diverse formats, such as interviews, solo episodes, panel discussions, or storytelling.
Experimenting with different styles, like narrative-driven episodes, educational deep-dives, or entertaining conversations.
Leveraging your podcast's audio content for promotional clips or teasers on social media platforms.
Why it's important: Audio is the core medium for podcasts, and investing in audio production ensures a compelling and enjoyable listening experience for your audience.
Video:
Video content offers visual engagement and complements your podcast's audio with a visual component. It provides an opportunity to expand your audience and engage with them in a different way. Here are some examples of being active in the video medium:
Recording video versions of your podcast episodes, either as full-length videos or highlight clips.
Livestreaming podcast recordings or hosting live Q&A sessions with your audience.
Creating supplementary video content, such as behind-the-scenes footage, tutorials, or vlogs related to your podcast's topic.
Sharing video snippets on social media platforms to promote your podcast and spark interest.
Why it's important: Video content allows you to connect with a broader audience, enhance engagement, and leverage platforms like YouTube and social media for additional exposure.
Written Word:
While podcasting primarily relies on audio, incorporating the written word can amplify your reach, improve discoverability, and provide additional context and resources for your audience. Here are some examples of being active in the written word medium:
Writing detailed show notes for each episode, including summaries, timestamps, guest information, and resource links.
Creating blog posts or articles based on podcast episodes, expanding on the topics discussed or offering additional insights.
Publishing transcripts of your episodes to improve accessibility, SEO, and provide alternative reading options.
Engaging with your audience through blog comments, social media posts, or email newsletters.
Why it's important: The written word enhances search engine optimization, increases accessibility, and provides additional value for your audience, especially for those who prefer reading or need written content for reference.
Being active in all three instances—audio, video, and written word—offers a multi-dimensional approach to content creation and audience engagement. It allows you to cater to different preferences and consumption habits, reach a wider audience, and provide a more comprehensive experience for your listeners. By leveraging these mediums effectively, you can enhance your podcast's visibility, build a loyal community, and establish your authority in your podcasting niche.

E92 - Ten Things to Include in Your Podcast Show Notes to Help You to be Found Online
E92 - Ten Things to Include in Your Podcast Show Notes to Help You to be Found Online
When writing show notes for your podcast, there are several key elements and best practices to keep in mind. Show notes are a valuable tool for engaging your audience, providing additional information about your episodes, and improving your podcast's discoverability. Here are some essential elements and best practices for writing effective show notes:
Episode Summary: Begin with a concise summary or overview of the episode's content. This should be a brief, attention-grabbing description that entices listeners to engage with the episode.
Timestamps: Include timestamps for different segments or topics discussed during the episode. This allows listeners to easily navigate to specific sections they're interested in. Timestamps can be especially helpful for longer episodes or when covering multiple topics.
Guest Information: If you have guest speakers on your podcast, provide a short introduction or bio for each guest. Mention their expertise, achievements, or any relevant background information. This helps establish credibility and gives listeners context about the guests' contributions.
Resources and Links: Include any resources, articles, books, or websites mentioned in the episode. Hyperlink these resources whenever possible, making it easy for your audience to access them directly. This adds value to your show notes and enhances the learning experience for your listeners.
Call-to-Action (CTA): Include a clear call-to-action at the end of your show notes. This could be a request to subscribe to your podcast, leave a review, follow you on social media, or join a newsletter. A well-placed CTA can help you grow your audience and build a community around your podcast.
Keywords and SEO Optimization: Incorporate relevant keywords and phrases throughout your show notes. This can improve your podcast's search engine optimization (SEO) and increase its discoverability. Think about the words and phrases your target audience might use to search for content related to your episode.
Formatting and Readability: Make your show notes easy to read and scan. Use subheadings, bullet points, or numbered lists to break up the text and make it more digestible. Consider using bold or italic formatting to highlight important information. Keep the paragraphs concise and organized.
Branding and Consistency: Maintain consistency in your show notes' formatting and style to align with your podcast's brand. Use your podcast's logo, colors, or typography to create a cohesive visual experience. Consistency helps build brand recognition and reinforces your podcast's identity.
Episode Transcript: Consider providing a full or partial transcript of your episode alongside the show notes. Transcripts can make your content more accessible to those with hearing impairments, improve searchability, and provide an alternative way to consume the information. You can include the transcript directly in the show notes or provide it as a separate downloadable file.
Cross-Promotion and Related Episodes: If applicable, mention related episodes that cover similar topics or continue the discussion from previous episodes. This encourages listeners to explore more of your content and increases engagement. Additionally, use the show notes as an opportunity to promote other projects, events, or collaborations you're involved in.
Remember that show notes should be concise yet informative, providing enough detail to engage your audience without overwhelming them. By incorporating these key elements and best practices, you can create show notes that enhance the overall listening experience, increase engagement, and boost the visibility of your podcast.

E91 - CO-HOST - Tom Sanderson - Host of Tom Meets Interesting People, Starting Your Podcast, Get Organized and We Need More Podcasters
The Podcast
Tom Meets Interesting People delves deep into the projects and processes of anyone from voice actors to nuclear engineers. Each week, I will interview a different interesting person and help them share their story, discuss the challenges they have faced along the way, and look at the tools and techniques they have used to do what they do. In the process, I aim to help you understand what they do and why they do it.
I aim to interview guests with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. So far, I have met AI creators, hostages, and Twitch streamers.
Each interview ends with a questionnaire, and in that, my guest only gets one swear word with Tom.
The Host
Originally from Manchester, England, Tom Sanderson is the host of Tom Meets Interesting People, the podcast you go to if you want to know how someone does what they do. In each episode, a new guest, from voice actors to nuclear engineers, shows up to tell Tom how they do what they do. We discuss the processes behind their work, reflect on the outcomes, and work together to give our audience a better understanding of their processes. Tom Meets Interesting People is in the Goodpods top 100 indie documentary chart.
Before that, Tom earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Northampton and is currently exploring postgraduate options. His dissertation explored how we form and maintain friendships in shared experiences, and this research was a UON Psychology Conference award winner in 2022.
Prior to this, Tom worked in the care industry but now spends his time running Tom Sanderson Tutoring, a business that specializes in providing education options for students who are unable to enter mainstream education.

E89 - Six warnings for new podcasters about obsessing over stats
E89 - Six warnings for new podcasters about obsessing over stats
As a new podcaster, it's natural to be curious about your podcast's performance and how it's resonating with your audience. While keeping an eye on your podcast's statistics can provide valuable insights, it's important not to become too obsessed with them. Here are some warnings to keep in mind:
Don't let stats define your worth: It's easy to get caught up in the numbers and let them dictate your self-worth as a podcaster. Remember that your value goes beyond the download numbers or listener count. Focus on creating content that you're proud of and that resonates with your audience.
Stats take time to build: Building a podcast audience takes time and consistency. It's not uncommon for new podcasts to have smaller listener numbers initially. Avoid comparing yourself to established podcasts and give yourself time to grow organically.
Numbers can be misleading: Statistics can provide a general overview of your podcast's performance, but they don't tell the whole story. Downloads and listens are just one aspect of engagement. Your podcast may have a smaller but highly engaged audience that actively interacts with your content, which is more valuable than passive listeners.
Quality over quantity: While it's important to track your podcast's growth, focusing solely on increasing numbers can lead to a decline in the quality of your content. Prioritize creating episodes that are informative, entertaining, and valuable to your listeners. Ultimately, content quality will play a significant role in attracting and retaining your audience.
Enjoy the process: Podcasting should be enjoyable and fulfilling for you as a creator. Don't let the obsession with stats overshadow the joy of creating and sharing your passion. Remember why you started podcasting in the first place and focus on the journey rather than fixating on the destination.
Use stats as learning opportunities: Instead of obsessing over stats, view them as tools for improvement. Analyze the data to identify patterns, understand what content resonates with your audience, and make informed decisions based on that feedback. Continuous improvement is essential, but it should be driven by a genuine desire to deliver value rather than chasing arbitrary numbers.
Remember, building a successful podcast takes time, dedication, and a focus on creating meaningful content. While it's essential to keep track of your podcast's performance, try not to let statistics consume you. Stay focused on your vision, engage with your audience, and enjoy the process of podcasting.

E87 - A New Podcast Network Idea to Help You Start Your Podcast and Conquer Podfade

E86 - Six Items That You Should Consider Getting When Starting Your Podcast - The Podcast Owner's Manual Mini Series
E86 - Six Items That You Should Consider Getting When Starting Your Podcast - The Podcast Owner's Manual Mini Series
Here is a list of basic gear that you'll need to record a podcast:
A usb microphone: A good quality usb microphone is essential for producing high-quality audio. There are many different types of microphones to choose from, including dynamic microphones, condenser microphones, and USB microphones.
Headphones: Wired Headphones are essential for monitoring your audio during recording and editing. Choose a pair that is comfortable and has good sound quality.
A recording device: You'll need a device to capture your audio, such as a computer with recording software or a digital recorder. I use a Windows PC and the free Digital Audio Workstation (D.A.W.) Audacity.
A pop filter: A pop filter is a device that attaches to your microphone and helps to reduce popping sounds caused by hard consonants, such as "p" and "b." This can help improve the overall audio quality of your podcast.
A microphone stand: A microphone stand can help to position your microphone at the right height and distance from your mouth. I like the standard on stage mic stand that you will see at any concert. I personally do not like to have my microphone stand bolted to my desk - I prefer a stand alone mic stand for my set up.
Cables: You'll need cables to connect your microphone to your recording device if you choose to not use a usb mic.
This is the basic gear that you'll need to get started with recording a podcast. You may want to consider adding additional equipment, such as a mixer or additional microphones, as your podcast grows.

E83 - The Co-Host Conundrum - Navigating Roles and Responsibilities in Podcasting
E83 - The Co-Host Conundrum - Navigating Roles and Responsibilities in Podcasting
When planning a new podcast, it's important to have a clear discussion with your co-hosts and/or producer about a range of topics that will impact the success of your podcast. Here are some key things to discuss:
Delegation of tasks: It's important to have a clear understanding of who will be responsible for what tasks related to the podcast. This might include research, booking guests, writing scripts, recording, editing, promoting on social media, and managing the website. Make sure everyone knows what is expected of them, and ensure that tasks are delegated based on individual strengths and skills.
Monetization: Decide how you plan to make money from the podcast. Will you run ads? Will you offer sponsorships? Will you charge for premium content? Make sure everyone is on the same page regarding the monetization strategy, and discuss how any revenue will be split among the co-hosts.
Splitting costs: Determine how you will split the costs of producing the podcast, including equipment, hosting fees, and any other expenses. Will everyone contribute an equal amount, or will costs be divided based on individual responsibilities?
Social media: Discuss how you plan to promote the podcast on social media, and decide who will be responsible for creating and managing social media accounts. Consider creating a content calendar and scheduling posts in advance to ensure consistent promotion.
Website: Determine who will be responsible for creating and managing the podcast's website. This might include designing the site, posting episodes, and managing any online communities related to the podcast.
Editing: Decide who will be responsible for editing each episode, and discuss any specific editing requirements or styles that should be used. Consider using a shared cloud-based storage solution, like Dropbox, to keep audio files organized and accessible.
Responsibilities for each co-host: Make sure everyone understands their individual responsibilities and commitments, including recording schedules, deadlines, and any other expectations. This will help ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the podcast runs smoothly.
In summary, when planning a new podcast, it's crucial to have an open discussion with your co-hosts or producer about key topics such as task delegation, monetization, splitting costs, social media, website management, editing, and individual responsibilities. Having a clear understanding of each person's role and expectations can help ensure the success of your podcast.

E82 - Leveraging Toastmasters to Help New Podcasters and How To Stay Motivated with Guest CO-HOST - Debbie Williams
E82 - Leveraging Toastmasters to Help New Podcasters and How To Stay Motivated with Guest CO-HOST - Debbie Williams
My name is Debbie Williams, I have been a member of toastmasters since May 2017 and I enjoy the art of storytelling. The podcast came about due in part by others requesting that I start one, and the fact that my daughter bought me a microphone for my birthday in May 2020. I mean, it was lock-down, what else was I going to do!
Stories have always been a way to communicate, and parables have always been used to help us understand real life. Before people learned how to write, they would tell each other stories, those stories were our history books. Sometimes we may underestimate the power we have with our speaking voice. We all have a story that somebody else wants to hear. We all have it within us to inform, educate, and inspire others.
I’m known to frequent the gym, go for runs, swim, cycle and I’ve completed 12 spartan races to date. I’m also known for my banana cake and the fact that I’m not so great at making other flavours!
Debbie Williams is the creator and host of the one-of-a-kind storytelling podcast featured.
Created in 2020, each episode is designed to delve into stories from Debbie’s past in a unique way with real emotions and feelings. Delving into the latest big topics including mental health, BLM, and of course Covid-19.
You’ll also get light relief with Debbie’s humour and wit which shines through the microphone as she transports you into a bit of escapism for around 10 mins, which let’s face it – we could all do with at times.
We talk about how
- Toastmasters helped Debbie go from nervous first-time Toastmaster attendee to leadership within the Toastmaster Community,
- How to stay motivated as a podcaster
- How to unlock the power of your own voice in sharing your story

You Have What You Need To Start A Podcast - Don't Over Spend When Starting Out - The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips
The Big Idea - Don't let technology and lack of finances stop you in your tracks when starting your show. Yes, you can always improve and upgrade - there are many companies and resources that will be perfectly happy to accept your money for new gear, resources, tools and advice - but don't fall into a money pit that you can't escape from when starting your show!
I share how Aerosmith used a sugar packet to record the intro of Sweet Emotion, yes, a "free" package of sugar just lying around was the perfect tool required in the intro to this song. A free, again, free, package of sugar.
Aerosmith had all the money to buy the perfect whatever for the intro to Sweet Emotion, but instead, they simply used what was at hand, in the moment and it was perfect.
I would hazard to guess that you have everything you need to start, don't spend money you don't have - use what you have and grow from there!
Here is a YouTube link to Aerosmith's Sweet Emotion, check out the very beginning - sugar packet for the win!

A bad link to a guest's website can get you in trouble - listen to what happened to me! I included a link to a guests website that was fine when the podcast was released and then months later, something happened to my guest's site - it was flagged and YouTube sent me a nasty warning that a bad link to an external site was a violation hit for my channel! So, instead of having the entire site address like - https://howtopodcast.ca/ in your show notes - you might want to future proof your notes with howtopodcast.ca instead. You have NO CONTROL over what happens to your guest's website, so if want to be safe, drop the clickable link and shorten it to avoid breaking a guideline for YouTube!

Don't take negative comments personally.
Try to learn from constructive feedback.
Ignore or delete comments that are hateful or abusive.
Respond kindly to negative comments that are not abusive.
Focus on your supporters and the positive impact you are having.
Take a break from social media if it gets overwhelming.

The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips - Can I Change My Podcast Episode Title and What is a Bonus Episode
The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips - Can I Change My Podcast Episode Title and What is a Bonus Episode
Dual purpose episode - This is a bonus episode! Every Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. eastern standard time we host the How To Podcast Zoom Room! Extend the conversation beyond the podcast, join in a growing community of podcasters just like you! Practical lessons, great conversation and a supportive group for all!
The other reason for this episode beyond our Zoom Room is to talk about bonus episodes - what is a bonus episode?
A bonus episode is extra content for your show (for example, behind-the-scenes information, commentary, or interviews with the cast or cross-promotional content for another show.)
Outside of your regular episode releases where you enter the episode number into your hosting site as you upload your episode, a bonus episode lives outside your scheduled releases - be sure to select "bonus" when you upload your podcast to your hosting site!
You can edit you podcast titles and description at any time and as often as you wish - no need to delete your episode, simply go in, update your titles, add more robust key words to your show notes/descriptions etc. Be sure to use key words or tags specific to your show in your hosting site if that option is available!
Hope to see you at an upcoming zoom room! We would love to see you there!

I Googled Myself and Not One Mention of My Social Media Accounts - The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips
I Googled Myself and Not One Mention of My Social Media Accounts - The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips
Ok, so I did a Google Search on my Living The Next Chapter Podcast - it is a podcast that features authors, publishers and it is literally a joy to create! 16 months in we have over 200 episodes! Wow!
I had a conversation with a pro-Facebook Podcaster that believes wholeheartedly that Facebook is the best tool to grow his show - it is working for him and I am so pleased to see that he has found his engaged audience and support him fully.
I did ask though, is there SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for Facebook? If you Googled your Podcast would Google return any of your content from Facebook in the search results. He seemed stunned at that question as Facebook is the be all and end all for his podcast.
I went to Google and did this very thing for my show, Living The Next Chapter and my assumptions were confirmed. I challenge you to test this for your podcast and share your results with me at http://howtopodcast.ca/
My top 6 results on page one of Google (the Holy Grail of Search Results is obviously page 1!!) were,
- My Podcast on Apple
- My Website (which I own)
- My Podcast Channel on YouTube for my show
- My Hosting Site for my podcast - Buzzsprout
- My Podcast on Spotify
- My Podcast on Podchaser
Not a single mention of any of my social media accounts - none of my Facebook or Instagram ads resulted in being found on the biggest search engine in the world! None! I keep saying it, I am a podcaster that has social media assets, not a social media person with a podcast!
Get a domain for your website! Be on both Apple and Android! Set up your YouTube Podcast today! These are all ways to be found.
Facebook might be your audience today, Instagram might be your focus at the moment - BUT - Google is not bringing back those social platforms in search results, try it yourself and make the best decision for your podcast today!
If you need help with any of this, let me know - I can help.
Oh, and by the way, I did not PAY to be found on page one of Google. Just do the work, in the RIGHT PLACES! You will be found!
Catch you on the next episode!

E74 - Grow Your Audience, Monetization for a new show, interaction with listeners with Guest CO-HOST - Vanessa Y Rogers - Fabric of Folklore Podcast
As an avid reader, and as a parent of little children, Vanessa Rogers found myself continuously checking out folktales from the library. We’d snuggle up together, crack open the book, and delight in discovering the creativity of a different culture through its folklore.
My children and I found the folktales fascinating, but they always left me wanting more. I wanted to understand its origins and meaning. What was the story trying to tell us?
Who were the people in the story? Were they based off true individuals, or were they entirely fictional? What was so important about this story that it survived oral tradition through the decades until it was transcribed into book form.
Each story whether it be folktale, fairytale, myth or legend is like a mystery enclosed beneath the budding petals of a flower. I cannot wait to uncover the hidden depths of these stories and cultures, together, with you.

Our topics today:
- Finding Your Voice
- Why we tend to hate the sound of our own voice
- The Science behind our voice
- Healthy Voice Care
- Calming Your Nerves, Breathing and Balancing Your Voice
- What to avoid to save your voice
Our Guest - Robert Lee is a Voice Coach, Music Director, Community Builder, Entrepreneur
I joined the school choir at the age of 5, and singing became part of my identity as I explored choral, jazz, and pop music. At age 16, I plunged into conducting the school choir to fill a leadership void, and have been teaching and leading ensembles ever since.
I graduated from Brown University in 2017 and explored consulting, F&B operations, and tech, but was always singing, teaching, and directing music on the side. In 2019, I pivoted completely in pursuit of my passion full time - to spread the same joy and fulfillment that I’ve had in music.
Today, I have a private voice studio teaching 1:1 and small group lessons. I also run a cappella programs to broaden access and build community. In 2020, based on philosophies developed through my lifetime in music, I created The Vocal Gym to deliver high-quality singing education in a way that is effective, accessible and fun.

Don't remove all the silence between your words in your editing process - keep voices sounding natural, leave some of the silence and breaks in - otherwise your podcast will sound rushed and anxious.
New A.I. Tools will automatically delete spaces within your recording and the finished edit will feel rushed.Silence is not the enemy!

The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips - Get a Free Clickable Link To Your Podcast and Share It Pod.Link
The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips - Get a Free Clickable Link To Your Podcast and Share It Pod.Link
Pod.link FAQDoes it cost me anything to have my show on pod.link?
No! Pod.link is made available to all podcasters at no charge. We invite podcasters to put the same creative energy into your pod.link page as you did when you dreamed up your podcast!
A. Pod.link provides a singular page by which you can direct listeners directly to your show on their podcatcher of choice. In order for your show to appear on pod.link, it needs to be distributed and available on one or more of the major podcatchers (think: Spotify, Apple, Google), and/or have a fully functional and valid RSS feed. You can add a show by following either of the below steps
Add by RSS feed: https://pod.link/id?href={feed_href}
Begin your search with "index:" then type the name of the show:
A. Once you’ve found your show on pod.link (or we’ve ingested it using the method above), you’ll need to claim your podcast. To do this, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit “Claim Podcast”:
A new modal will pop up providing you a sneak peek of the email address associated with your RSS feed.
You will need to input the email address exactly as it appears in your feed, then hit “Verify Ownership”. We’ll send an email with an email verification link, so keep a lookout in your inbox (and junk folder) in order to finalize your podcast claim.
Pod.link checks your email address entry against the email address as it appears in your RSS feed. If your hosting platform gives you the option to hide your email address, you’ll first need to unhide your email address and wait ~15 minutes before attempting to claim your podcast again. We’ll pull the updated RSS feed and match the email address before sending a verification email.
If you no longer have access to that email address, you’ll need to log into your hosting provider’s platform and update your RSS feed with the correct email address, then allow time for the RSS feed to update before attempting to claim your show again. We are unable to make any exceptions to feed verifications.
Your podcast is the result of your hard work and dedication, so it’s important to ensure that you (and you alone) are able to claim your podcast. Just as Spotify and other major players require that you confirm you own your RSS feed, we do, too. Once confirmed, you’ll be able to claim and customize your pod.link page to make it your own–just as you’ve done with your show!
Yes, absolutely! In the pod.link editor, you’ll be able to add your Google Analytics tracking ID.
Absolutely! It’s your show, and who wants to share an alphanumeric URL anyway? Create a vanity URL in your pod.link editor. If you are receiving an error, that means someone else already has the URL you’ve selected, so try something else.
I can’t find my podcast on pod.link. How do I add it?How do I claim my show on pod.link? Why is my email address not being accepted? What if I no longer have access to the email address in my RSS feed? Why do you need my email address in order to claim my podcast? Can I add my own GA tracking ID?Can I customize my URL?

Being Quiet When Your Guest Speaks - The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips
Being Quiet When Your Guest Speaks - The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips
To save time in editing, and, when you are hosting with a guest on your show,
Stay quiet while your guests speak!
It is so tempting to drop in simple phrases like “yes” and “right” and “okay” while your guests speak.
Those are natural parts of language that we use without realizing, but they can distract your listeners.
Yes, you can remove them during editing, but that’s a lot of unnecessary work.
It’s easier to train yourself to limit interjections and allow your guest or co-host to complete their thought.
Learning to be an active listener can translate beyond your podcast - you can be a better listener at work, in your home, with family and friends!
When you have a guest on your show, it is about them! Let them talk. Be engaging without being in the way!
If you need help with your podcast, if you are looking for an inclusive podcast community focused on you, if you are looking for a caring coach - not a snarky judge, head over to our site - we would love to connect with you today!

E63 - Audio vs Video Podcasting - The Podcast Owner's Manual Mini Series
E63 - Audio vs Video Podcasting - The Podcast Owner's Manual Mini Series
Audio vs Video Podcasting - or both?
There are a few key differences between audio and video podcasts:
Production time: Video podcasts typically take longer to produce than audio podcasts because they involve creating and editing video content in addition to the audio.
Equipment: Audio podcasts generally require less equipment than video podcasts. Audio podcasts can often be recorded using just a microphone and a computer, while video podcasts typically require a camera and lighting equipment in addition to audio recording equipment.
Distribution: Audio podcasts are typically distributed through podcast directories like Apple Podcasts or Spotify, while video podcasts may also be distributed through platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.
Engagement: Some people find it easier to engage with audio podcasts while doing other activities, such as driving or exercising, while video podcasts may require more attention and may be more suitable for watching at home or on a device with a larger screen.
Monetization: There are many different ways to monetize podcasts, but video podcasts may have more opportunities for revenue through ads or sponsorships.
Overall, the decision to produce an audio or video podcast will depend on your goals and resources. Both types of podcasts have their own unique benefits and can be effective ways to reach an audience.

If you're a coach, and people trust your advice, you could be attracting the right kinds of clients using the same kinds of conversations you're already having. We help you accomplish that. And we do it via podcasting.
Introducing: podcastify.me
DID YOU KNOW
- 155 million Americans have listened to a podcast
- 104 million have listened to one in the past month
- 68 million listen to a podcast weekly
With every episode heard, people are getting 30, 60, 90 minutes (or more) of steady influence from that show.
What if you were the person they were listening to? What would that do for your business to have a growing pool of fans who feel like they've known you for years?

BONUS - Christina Al Zahrani - The News As I See It Podcast - A Question About Finding A Guest
Bonus episode here! Christina Al Zahrani from The News As I See It Podcast called in a question around finding guests for our new podcast! Finding a great guest is not impossible!
If you can find your audience, go to where they are, participate in the conversation by adding value, you will find guests for your show! Remember that you do not have to release every episode, especially when you are new - practice makes all of us better, so practice, practice, practice - and if you need a practice buddy, I have my hand raised! I love to help new podcasters!
As Christina mentioned - guesting and being a guest is a great way to improve and connect with others!
Thanks Christina for reaching out, commenting on the episodes and for starting a podcast! The world needs more Christina's in this world!
If you are interested in our free monthly Podcaster's Zoom Rooms - we are starting this February, first Friday of the month at 10 am est - for an invite hit me up and I will send you the link! We will talk about a current podcasting topic, do a little Q&A and then go around the room offering to be a guest or to find a guest for our show - we need you to make this work - no salesy stuff - pure connection and support for all involved! Hope to see you there!
