Exciting News! Hopalong Cassidy Comes To Sounds Like Radio's Library of Sound Vol. 21 for the very first time! Fun and great action await as you ride with Hopalong and his pal California in this episode called "Death Paints A Picture" from 6/4/50. These are exciting stories of western lore. Hoppy started in movies then to radio and finally his own TV show. He was a very very popular cowboy star of the '40's and '50's who was known for selling all kinds of Hopalong merchandise to kids, belts, hats, pistols, mugs, cereal bowls, chaps, shirts, underwear, spoons, plates, you name it Hoppy sold it. I'm sold already on listening to Hoppy on the radio! Now if I could only get a Hoppy mug. You'll love hearing Hopalong laugh, it's my favorite part of every show.

One of my favorite detectives is here with a radio adaptation of Rex Stout’s story. I’ve read all the books now you can hear the radio shows. “Disguise For Murder” can be found in the Rex Stout Nero Wolfe book “Curtains For Three”. Do yourself a favor and read it in the "Curtains For Three" book after you hear it!

Jean Shepherd's Big Date From Library of Sound Vol. 8
Another selection from your Humble Host's Vast Library of Sound, this is Vol. 8. On November 18, 1974 I was there to record this classic Jean Shepherd radio show just for you (little did I know at the time). Jean Shepherd, narrator and author of Christmas Story the movie, well long before that diversion Jean Shepherd was only The best radio story teller around. Jean Shepherd was at his very best when he was on the radio. Today I have another sample for you of a Shep show with a great story I first recorded in 1973 and then again on 11/18/74 and now it's your turn to experience Shep doing what he did best, not movies or TV, but radio. Library Of Sound's Back as Gildy Tells Stories For Children Cinderella
Get ready for another very special edition of our Vast Library of Sound Vol. 7!! Featuring today The Great Gildersleeve telling us of the story of Cinderella. Harold Peary put out some very nice records from 1946 thru 1947. These were 78 records of Gildy reading some classic children's stories. The series was called, "Stories For Children".
