Many of our current emotionally experiences of fear have little to do with what is actually happening in the moment and are more so an effect of us re-living a past traumatic experience that happened when we didn’t have the cognition to understand or process what was happening. And so we repeat the same programmed loop over and over whether we’re actually threatened or not. Fortunately, you can change these pathways through the use of a pattern interrupt, like for example taking a deep breath, clapping your hands, or the technique I’m sharing today. ✨ Fear is Just a Sensation | Healing Meditation

In this meditation, I’ll be showing how I like to release fear and reconnect to my natural state of peace and positive expectation. This method works well in tandem with my recycling emotions meditation and my I see you and I love you meditation. I’ve linked both of those below in case you’d like more support and resources. This exercise rests on a very simple premise, and that’s fear is just a sensation. Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is a distortion of perspective, a narrowing of sight, a clouding of the lens and its opinions are not to be trusted. It really is just an idea, a story, and the reason it feels so bad is because you’re seeing differently than your Inner Being (your higher self) who knows you are safe, you are capable, and all is well in this moment. And so if you allow yourself to drop the story and simply witness it in your body, it will dissipate. As you practice this over time, the sensation will become less and less intense until you eventually feel no fear whatsoever around the idea or story. Similar to Daily Living Meditations, and yet unique in that you don’t need the meditation with you to practice the tool given πŸ’— Today our mediative moment is a mantra: When I choose peace for myself, I choose peace for the world. This mantra acknowledges that we are not separate from our world, and in becoming the healing we desire to see, we create it for all to benefit from and receive. This mantra is perfect for meditating in public, in grocery lines, on buses, in waiting rooms, on park benches, while driving - really any moment in time that could benefit from a spacious breath and a reconnection to your inner heart where peace abides. Doing this takes courage. It’s counter-culture to be relaxed, to move mindfully, to pause, to close your eyes and take a deep breath. And yet, there’s nothing more called for by the collective, than those who can embody and offer this energy. And so when you find yourself in an in-between moment of movement or waiting, be willing to take that vulnerable moment to be peace. To rest in peace. To love.
