#182: It’s Always an Inside Job

#182: It’s Always an Inside Job

#182: It’s Always an Inside Job In this Friday fact episode, we are talking about the concept that everything we do or want to change is an inside job.  We can’t just put positive on top of negative.  In order to change our thoughts, mindset, or beliefs, it starts with changing what isn’t working for us by starting on the inside. In this episode, we discuss: In order to change your thoughts, beliefs, and mindset, you must first breakdown what isn’t working for you. That means clearing out the negative thoughts before you can truly absorb the positive ones. We have this habit of how we think, believe, and act, which is the habits we have of being ourselves. This is the work of Joe Dispenza, “Breaking the Habits of Being Yourself.” Journaling has allowed me to dump out my thoughts with no filters or judgments on them at all. Then I look at what limiting beliefs I have right now and what contrary evidence do I have that disproves it? By chiseling away the negative thoughts and beliefs, we create a space for the meditations, mantras, podcasts, books, to cement in our bodies and mindsets to be able to grow. This creates long-lasting change to take place. #181: Face Everything and Rise with Sandra Rinaldi

#181: Face Everything and Rise with Sandra Rinaldi Today we are speaking with Certified Life, Health & Youth Coach, Writer, Speaker, Sandra Rinaldi.  As a former live entertainment marketing executive for the biggest independent promotor in Eastern North America, Sandra Rinaldi made the huge decision to part with the rock and roll world after 20 years in 2019. Back to school at 41 years old, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery and completely started over as a Life Coach. Living through her own struggles with insecurities and fear, she is now helping people with what she says is the base of happy living: deep and unwavering self-confidence. In this episode, we discuss: You are more than enough. You should never let someone’s opinion of you determine what you choose to do in your life. The longer you don’t listen to your own inner voice, the harder it is to hear what you want and live in alignment with your true purpose. Be aware of and admit what isn’t working in your life. Take a stand and take responsibility for yourself in your own life. Our identity will change many times over our lifetime. When we allow it to naturally evolve it will. The irony of life changes in Sandra’s life, and it becomes more evident that we must trust the timing of our lives! #180: What You Know Is Valuable to Someone Else

#180: What You Know Is Valuable to Someone Else

#180: What You Know Is Valuable to Someone Else In this mindset episode, we are talking about the lessons that we learn and how we judge what we know as basic information.  We are far too critical of ourselves and believe that what we have learned is basic.  It wasn’t basic to us when we learned it and it is still not basic to us as we continue to learn and embody these lessons.  I always promise you that someone, somewhere is praying for a solution that you have, that you have learned, and that you can support them within their life. In this episode, we discuss: The lessons we learned are valuable. There comes a time when we understand that they are more valuable than we think, and they can make a difference in someone else’s life as well. When we doubt ourselves, and we always do, we then fall into the comparison trap of comparing our story to someone else’s. This is where things go sideways, and we lose sight of what we are here to do. Remember you cannot be a coach, speaker, or an “expert” if you are not willing to be vulnerable and let people see the real you. This is really where the magic happens. It is time to stop judging yourself, your lessons, and what you have learned as being “basic” because these lessons truly are more valuable than you realize. #179: What Your Triggers Are Telling You?

#179: What Your Triggers Are Telling You? In this Friday fact episode, we are talking about the concept of our triggers.  We are all triggered by people, situations, behavior, stories, relationships, you name it, we all experience triggers.  Here are a few of my thoughts on triggers and how to see what they are really telling you. I love this quote, “Just like the first breath of life, any engine must be triggered in order to turn it on.” Toba Beta. In this episode, we discuss: Triggers always teach us something about ourselves that is unhealed that needs to be healed for us to move forward. Triggers are causing us to react to a situation instead of us living in intention. They are showing you something you don’t like. Listen to one of my past episodes on triggers. Episode #129, Celebrate The Triggers, https://apple.co/3p4Ckv2 Start with being aware of what your triggers are, you know who triggers you. Learn to recognize and celebrate your triggers. What boundaries can you put into place to protect this trigger of emotion, reaction, and energy? Recognize it when it happens, don’t fight or resist it. See it, smile, and let it be as it is. Don’t be attached to how someone else is behaving or showing up. Join me live starting on November 1st for 10 days as I dive into each of the blockages that you are experiencing on Owning Your Story. #178:  Taking Responsibility Helped Me Beat Cancer + Depression with Jill Bunny

#178:  Taking Responsibility Helped Me Beat Cancer + Depression with Jill Bunny

#178:  Taking Responsibility Helped Me Beat Cancer + Depression with Jill Bunny Today we are speaking with CBT-Fitness Health Coach, Functional Medicine Health Coach, Jill Bunny.  Dedicated and energetic fitness professional, Jill Bunny specializes in CBT-Fitness (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with 15+ years’ extensive experience in Functional Nutrition, Human Kinetics, and Psychology. Retired professional athlete, turned Cancer Survivor and MS warrior, Jill inspires her audiences to view responsibility as one of the key pillars to owning fitness, health, and life. In this episode, we discuss: By taking responsibility for the choices Jill made, and stopping the blame game/excuses, she was able to regain the mental and physical strength she needed to fight Cancer, put MS back into remission, and beat depression. Our learned experiences carry a lot of weight in our lives, in how we show up and how we push through our experiences. It took experiencing things such as degeneration in her eyesight, extreme fatigue, and changes in balance before a diagnosis of MS. The next challenge for Jill was her diagnosis of thyroid cancer.  This was a lot of things to digest in a very short period of time. These things challenged her identity, and her need for personal control, and this was the time that she needed to shift her focus into CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). The shift required asking others for help and recognizing who was actually there to help her. Learning to let go of control was the major shift and turning point in her life. How all of our experiences shape us for how we show up in our lives and how we can use our experiences to share with and impact others. Jill now offers CBT Certification programs for fitness professionals and coaches. #177: Your Perception of the Obstacle is Everything

#177: Your Perception of the Obstacle is Everything

#177: Your Perception of the Obstacle is Everything In this mindset episode, we are talking about the 4 blocks to owning your story and your perception of the obstacles that you are facing.  We are talking all things perception, how to approach it differently, how you can work through these blocks to owning your story to create massive shifts in your life. In this episode, we discuss: The obstacle doesn’t change. Our perception of the obstacle is everything.  We can change how we approach it, the meaning we give it, how we see it and react to it. If your friend came to you with the exact same problem would your answers to her be the same as the words of advice you give to yourself? It usually isn’t because we are ridiculously hard on ourselves.  By taking ourselves out of the equation we can actually change our perception of the obstacle. Our perception is everything.  Our brain precedes all of our actions, so how we perceive it dictates how you will react to it. The mental mindset work is worth its weight in gold. You never know when or where you will need it, and it is will help you to deal with the obstacles you have to deal with. What if your perception and how you are approaching the obstacle are part of the problem? If you are part of the problem, then you are also part of the solution.  How cool is that mindset shift? #176: How Comfortable is that Comfort Zone?

#176: How Comfortable is that Comfort Zone? In this Friday fact episode, we are talking about the concept of our comfort zone.  This is a psychological spot where we believe that we are secure, and it is the "safe" spot that is blocking us from our growth and from seeing and meeting the people who could impact our life the most.  In this episode, we discuss: I lost my job on March 17th, 2020, with no questions asked. I decided this was the time to dive all into my coaching business and get out of my own comfort zone.  I have learned that stepping out of that space has led to incredible opportunities.  The questions I have learned to ask are not “do I want to do this?”, and instead I ask myself, “will I regret not doing this later?” What is your comfort zone costing you or what is it stopping you from doing or living? Change happens for you the second you step over the line. This is about you learning to grow yourself and see what is available for you outside of that “safe space”.  The people you are meant to impact and the people who are meant to impact to impact you may be right past your comfort zone and hallway. #174: The 4 Blocks to Owning Your Story

#174: The 4 Blocks to Owning Your Story

#174: The 4 Blocks to Owning Your Story In this mindset episode, we are talking about the 4 blocks to owning your story.  After coaching women for the past 3 years on owning their stories, I have found that women fall in between one of these 4 blocks. Identifying and owning your block is the best way to learn how to move through them.  If you want the freebie gift of learning to identify your block, connect on the link in the show notes to sign up and be the first to receive it.      In this episode, we discuss: The Victim Block – this is where we ask why, we keep ourselves stuck in our stories, we are looking for a reason or a justification. Learning how to change our questions from why to what and get into action can create the changes to stop being stuck as a victim in the story. The Fighter/Perfectionist Block– this is where we put our head down, work harder to control the world, burnout over and over, have ridiculous expectations of ourselves, and resist asking for help. Learning to let go of the control, focus on our own actions, ask for help and be open to receiving the help can change shift this blockage. The People Pleaser Block – this is where everyone else is their top priority, they say yes to everyone else, they lose themselves in the process, they have a lack of worthiness and typically zero boundaries in place. Learning to put their needs first, fill their cup first and use the overflow for others, and then understand the importance of boundaries is the only way that they can learn to move through this block. The Hider Block – this is the professional smiler, the one saying, “I’m good”, they are a natural deflector, takes the conversation off of themselves, very afraid of the judgment of others, and afraid to let others in. Learning how to embrace vulnerability, show up and allow ourselves to be seen, then allows others to be our support.  They have been waiting for us to show up. All of the blockages must be addressed and worked through in order to move past what is holding us back.   Join the wait list for the next round of the Owning Your Story -- Creating a Business with Your Story --  be the first to hear all about it! https://www.marshavanw.com/RRMMFall2020   Fill out the Owning Your Story Application to book your Discovery call, we launch again in November. https://forms.gle/cce5RZXV9MLyEC1M9 Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #173: Let’s Talk Judgement

#173: Let’s Talk Judgement In this brand new Friday fact episode, we are talking about the concept of judgment.  Judgment is something that stops a lot of people from showing, living their life, being authentically true to who they are at the core and as a result, their people can never find, hear or see them because they are not showing up.   In this episode, we discuss: If you are afraid of being judged, or of the fear of judgment of others, learn how to own that and call it out early, it puts you in the ownership position and in the space where it leaves little room for discussion. Being afraid of the judgment of others is being afraid of the people in our past and in our present, yet your story could be made for people who are in your future! You are meant to impact people who haven’t even crossed your path yet and they can’t hear you until you find the courage to speak up! There is no one in your life who will judge you more than you have judged yourself. #172: It’s Ok For Me to Be Me with Brittney Carbone

#172: It’s Ok For Me to Be Me with Brittney Carbone

#172: It’s Ok For Me to Be Me with Brittney Carbone Today we are speaking with Healthy Lifestyle Expert, coach, and motivational speaker Brittney Carbone.  Brittney is a healthy lifestyle expert, coach, and motivational speaker. Her mission is to inspire non-negotiable, self-care, and to push people to their highest potential. She urges everyone to place their health and wellness at the top of their priority list and give themselves the opportunity to experience each day with a clear mind and fit body. Brittney spent 8+ years in the corporate business world as a producer prior to pursuing a career in wellness. She experienced first-hand how the conventional way of life takes a toll mentally, physically, and spiritually. Being a lifelong athlete, Brittney was aware of her health but gained more than 65 pounds in a year while traveling nonstop for work. It was then, hitting rock bottom with her body, she made the ultimate commitment to up-level up her life. Through Brittney’s darkness, she found light. On her journey from plus-sized to professional fitness model, she obtained her personal training and nutrition certificate and found a passion for coaching others to do the same. In this episode, we discuss: We can change our circumstances at any time when we actually own and face where we are at first. Avoiding it will never change anything. Facing our challenges doesn’t mean we are broken; we are never broken. It is simply an acceptance of where we are right now and that is our new starting point. Filling the “hole” required connecting to a higher power, spiritual power, or something higher than herself. This filled a hole that she had been seeking. Addiction rents space in your mind and stops us from feeling. Some people “feel” more than others especially when we don’t have the tools to differentiate from our own or the tools for knowing how to process other’s feelings. This is where boundaries are so important to put into place. When 2020 changes came to a halt, it is important to find a way to do what your mind and body need in order to process the emotions of the year. It is learning to focus one day and one action at a time. Also, remember to mute or unfollow anything that doesn’t serve you and the direction you want to move toward. All things non-negotiable self-care and how to make sure these things are part of our everyday life.   Connect with Brittney Brittney’s new program https://www.brittneycarbone.com/beatthebinge Website: www.brittneycarbone.com Email: [email protected] Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/brittneycarbone Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/Brittneycarbone   Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #171: Who Are You Hiding From?

#171: Who Are You Hiding From? In this mindset episode, we are talking about the concept of hiding.  Hiding is such a common thing that so many people do, myself included.  We don’t want to let others in, or we want to do it all by ourselves, either way, trying to do it on our own is the fastest way to nowhere.  Join me today as I share the lessons, I have learned about hiding and how it is a much more powerful thing to do to let ourselves be seen by the world. In this episode, we discuss: Identify who you are hiding from, who you think you are hiding from, and be honest and clear with yourself. Why are you doing it and keep asking yourself the questions to create clarity? What is the worst thing that could happen to you? What if you are already living your worst-case scenario? What if you can reframe the questions and ask how your story has helped you to be who you are today? What would it feel like to not hide any longer? Stay in the emotions and feel the energy of what it would feel like! What is it costing you to hide from others? What experiences are you not having because you are not allowing yourself to be seen? If your journey is only about yourself, it is too small. Making it about others, creating impact, and making a difference, is an incredible feeling! #170:  Burnout to Breakthrough with Corey Phelps

#170:  Burnout to Breakthrough with Corey Phelps Today we are speaking with Women's Health & Wellness Expert and Business Mentor, Corey Phelps.  Corey is a lifelong athlete with a passion for health and fitness. I launched my business after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism following the birth of her daughter. Corey was in a career that made her miserable and was unwilling to accept low energy, and mysterious; sudden weight gain is an inevitable part of aging. She researched and educated herself on methods and techniques for healing and physical vibrancy. Her mission is to help others demystify nutrition and exercise so they can discover their inner power and show up as more impactful leaders.   In this episode, we discuss: Learning the importance of self-care and how important it is to prioritize ourselves first and fill our own cup! How easy it is to hit burnout when you are trying to achieve and accomplish your life goals. The burnout cycle is something we continually keep learning how to listen to ourselves and what we need to prevent burnout. The importance of boundaries and how having boundaries doesn’t mean that we can’t encourage and support others to succeed. We can all succeed together. Perfectionism only holds us back from showing up in the way that we are meant to show up to create the impact we can in the world. All things sleep, health, guilt, the superwoman complex, prioritizing ourselves first, and the fact that nothing is really ever as it seems that it is.   Connect with Corey Email: [email protected] Website: https://www.cultivatebycorey.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/corey_phelps_ Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life CoachMarsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #169: What Does Your Intuition Say?

#169: What Does Your Intuition Say?

#169: What Does Your Intuition Say? In this mindset episode, we are talking about the power of listening to our intuition.  I am sharing my experiences of learning to listen to my intuition.  Whether it be health, job, or relationships, learning to listen to my intuition has been a very powerful practice. I share some vulnerable tips I have had to learn to help build a better relationship with my intuition so that when I have to make bigger decisions, it is easier to trust that voice. In this episode, we discuss: Learning to listen to your gut, your intuition before your head speaks. Too often we listen to our head because we are trying to figure out all the moving pieces, how it will look, or work out, and we will never have these answers. Learning to listen to your intuition often starts with a moment on the floor deciding that your life will no longer look like this, and you are ready for change. Your intuition is a feeling that arises in your gut and it is there to guide you to whether you want to move in this direction or that. It is trying to be your compass. In order to build a better relationship with your intuition, start with decisions that bring you joy, feel light and not heavy, or are really simple choices. This is a way to build trust with your intuition.  Getting in tune with your intuition allows you to become the advocate for yourself when a situation isn’t right with your life, relationships, or physical body. #168: The Floor Can’t Find Me Again with Ashley Seeley

#168: The Floor Can’t Find Me Again with Ashley Seeley Today we are speaking with Ashley Seeley.  Ashley is a client who finished the Radical Responsibility Mastermind during COVID, and she is on the podcast today sharing her vulnerable growth journey with us.  Ashley Seeley is a mom to two children and a full time registered Early Childhood Educator. She volunteers with special needs children and coaches'  preschool hockey in her spare time. She truly believes that everyone deserves a fair shot in life. In 2018, her life as she knew it changed, almost overnight and since then she’s been on a journey to find herself again. She adores her children, is now an advocate for self-love, and is a writer, on her way to one day becoming an author. In this episode, we discuss: Learning to show up for ourselves before we can show up for others. This is an added challenge as a parent. Owning what we need to do on a regular basis in order to be the best version ourselves. Self-love, self-care, and self-worth are all on the same spectrum. When we learn what we need, we own that it is our responsibility, we show up differently in the world. Learning to shift our fear and use it for fuel to move forward. The power of standing ON our stories as opposed to standing IN our stories. The power of vulnerability and how it can bring the most incredible people into our lives when we allow ourselves to receive their support. #167: The Power of Permission

#167: The Power of Permission

#167: The Power of Permission In this mindset episode, we are talking about the power of permission.  This podcast is the post-launch week of our collaborative book “Owning Your Choices”, I share the experience of giving ourselves permission to recover, recharge, regroup, or for whatever self- care we might need on a regular basis.  We always struggle with giving ourselves permission, so I am here to share a few tips I work through, especially when I know that I need to recharge.  In this episode, we discuss: Ask yourself what do you need? Be specific, clear, and honest with what you are needing or craving in your life. How do you want to feel? Be clear.  Do you want to feel joyous, spacious, and aligned energy or do you want to feel deadlines, stress, and fatigue? Be honest and clear. Then ask yourself the question if your current life is set up to feel the way you want to feel.  If it is not, then what can you do to shift that or make it happen? Ask the question if you are treating yourself the way you want to be treated by others? Too often we expect others to treat us in ways that we are not willing to do for ourselves.  Giving yourself space and permission to care for yourself as a person and human being. Lastly take responsibility for your own self-care, owning what you need before you burn out. Burnout is not a badge of honour so don’t wear it like one. #166: Owning Your Choices – Let's Meet the Authors

#166: Owning Your Choices – The Book is Here! Today we are speaking with some of the authors of the upcoming collaborative book Owning Your Choices.  This is an incredibly special episode as I share the journey with these authors as they share what it was like to share their stories.  This book became a space for these women to share their courageous stories of inspiration and what they had to go through to share their stories.  Please help celebrate these women as we get ready for the upcoming launch by sharing this episode and the details of this very special launch. I am so grateful and proud of these 8 inspiring women from around the world as they share their stories of courage. In this episode, we discuss: What does Owning Your Choices mean to each of the authors? The author’s favourite quotes, words, and power songs that they use to shift their energy. The advice that the authors would give to others to follow through with an idea that is on your heart. What has changed in their lives by owning their choices, and what looks different today because of it. They each share what the reader can learn as their #1 takeaway from reading their chapters. #165: Owning Your Choices – The Book is Here!

#165: Owning Your Choices – The Book is Here! In this mindset episode, we are talking all about the launch of our Collaborative Book, “Owning Your Choices.”  Last week we interviewed the authors of the book in a podcast format, and this week I am sharing my own personal answers to the questions I asked the authors.  I am sharing my thoughts on the upcoming launch and the power of our stories.  Please help me to spread this message and launch this book into the world so we can support these authors and help spread their stories of courage.   In this episode, we discuss: The meaning of the word ownership, own, choices and how collectively these words saved and changed my life. Hence the title of the book. The difference between ownership and blame and how shifting that is the only way to get into action and create change. The power of vulnerability and how being open allows us to share ourselves with others and that will bring the right people into our lives because we are ready to see them and receive them. The number one thing you can take away from my chapter is the power of radical responsibility and how you can create change in your life by taking ownership of your choices, using different words, non-victim words, and letting go of what you cannot control. I would love to tell my younger self that she had the answers all along and not worry about the judgments of others. Everyone has a shame story and what someone else thinks of you is simply a reflection of where they are at in life. Learning how to give ourselves grace and self-compassion because writing our stories to share them with the world, allow us to dive into all of the difficult parts of our stories and this allows us to heal. It is such a powerful journey to work through our past stories.  Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery Call, we launch again in November. https://forms.gle/cce5RZXV9MLyEC1M9 Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #164: Our Stories Don’t Always Have to Feel Bad with Sue Ruhe

#164: Our Stories Don’t Always Have to Feel Bad with Sue Ruhe Today we are speaking with RMT (Myofascial Release Therapy), Sue Ruhe.Sue is a Registered Massage Therapist of 11 years, focusing primarily on Myofascial Release Therapy (where oils and lotions are not used during treatment). Working with abdominal fascia is her Jam! It's amazing how much anxiety, trauma, and stress we hold in that area, which ultimately progresses into pain throughout our entire bodies. She believes that finding and addressing the root cause of pain, is the key to preventing future health issues and avoiding unnecessary medications. She is a wife and a mother of a brilliant 8-year-old girl, Avalina, who has faced her own health issues this year. Because of this, along with renovating an entire house, Sue has taken a break from the clinic she's worked at for over a decade, to focus on other projects and to become more of a freelance therapist. She has created the Love Your Cells Podcast, is currently writing in 2 co-author book projects, and in the beginning stages of her own publication. Sue wants to teach the world about Fascia by bringing more of an understanding to the masses. In this episode, we discuss: The opportunities that we are living in today are actually a possibility because of the choices that we made years ago. Years of personal development and growth will help all of us to continue to prepare for what the future has in store. It doesn’t have to be weird to connect with others. If you see something that you do like in how someone is showing up online, or a sharing of interests or inspiration can grow beautiful friendships. It may be people that you least expect who become your closest friends.  Personal development has taught Sue how to Stand in her power and let that sh*t go. 2020 has taught Sue that she could pivot her business to help her clients heal their bodies virtually. The lesson was to pivot, trust yourself, and keep moving forward. It’s ok to love your story. That has been a massive lesson for 2020. #161: The Ripple Effect Starts with You

#161: The Ripple Effect Starts with You In this mindset episode, we are talking about how the ripple effect always starts with us.  We can all create a ripple effect in our lives and in the world, whether it is positive or negative.  When those ideas become a download for us, we are the one who is meant to bring it to life. The ripple effect can be small acts that can lead to so many incredible, beautiful things.  Remember that “Life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward.” By Soren Kierkegaard. This podcast starts the launch of our collaborative book “Owning Your Choices”, as we celebrate the women in this book. Please help me by sharing this podcast and the details for the launch of the book. In this episode, we discuss: When the idea download happens for us, it is for us to follow through and bring it to life. It is not a time to get stuck in the how's.  It is time to be open to the possibility of what it can become. Don’t worry about the HOW and how it will unfold, because the how will sort itself out. We are not born ready, we have to get into action and focus on the what.  The steps focusing on what will sort out the how. We are never meant to truly see how it will unfold. We can have a big vision for our ideas, and it can unfold in the most unexpected ways. This quote by Dalai Lama, “The ripples that spread out like a single pebble dropped into the water, the action of individuals can have very far-reaching effects.” Our actions reach further than we can ever imagine! Ripple effects don’t have to be massive. It can be acts of kindness, or simply rising above the actions of others. #160: The Role of Vulnerability with Angela Pereira

#160: The Role of Vulnerability with Angela Pereira

#160: The Role of Vulnerability with Angela Pereira Today we are speaking with Founder and CEO, Angela Pereira.  Angela is a Registered Kinesiologist, a holistic nutritionist, and a yoga teacher in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is the founder of First Line Education Inc., a continuing education provider for new and experienced movement therapists who want to work with clients online. In 2018, Angela became a holistic nutritionist to better understand the connections between systemic inflammation, the immune system, and chronic disease - particularly anxiety and depression. Beginning in early 2019, Angela shifted her business entirely online and moved away from working with clients. Together with her team, Angela now enjoys creating and teaching a wide variety of webinars and courses for new and experienced health care pros. She welcomes movement therapists of all stripes who are interested in teaching with the First Line Education team. In this episode, we discuss: Understanding your values, choosing 3 – 7 and the top 3 become the filter in how you manage your energy throughout the day. Boundaries become the way of managing your own personal power/energy, and these personal rules guide how you conduct yourself with others.  Boundaries are critical in business as well as our personal lives. Boundaries actually simplify your life by helping you make decisions that are in line with your values. Choosing yourself is always the best choice you can make. Life isn’t meant to be easy yet choosing ourselves first is where we must start. Life requires hard work and a little bit of grace and compassion. We aren’t meant to do this alone. That is how we stay stuck and don’t go very far. Grace and compassion can take a long time to learn and are literally the most valuable lessons. We discuss the power of sleep, cortisol levels, our sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, and how important restorative work is for us especially as we are building businesses and working toward goals. Restorative space creates physiological and emotional space, which allows us to recharge.  Remember that Rome wasn’t built in one day. It really does require consistent effort, faith, trust, and patience to bring our ideas to life. #159: The Weight of Guilt

#159: The Weight of Guilt

#159: The Weight of Guilt In this episode, we are talking about the emotions of guilt and shame.  The questions of guilt and shame have been showing up in my inbox lately as people want to know how to work through these two emotions.  Today we will talk about both emotions as they are very different, yet they are so closely intertwined, and we will draw attention to the weight of guilt in our lives. We are all holding onto shame stories in our lives, whether it is business or personal lives.  These are the stories we hold onto hoping no one knows our stories. Shame is saying, “I am bad”. Guilt is saying “I did something bad”.  Let’s dive into the difference between the two and how we can learn to let go of the weight of guilt. In this episode, we discuss: Shame is saying, “I am bad”, and shame keeps us playing so small in our lives. Shame gets so heavy we end up hiding under the armour to protect ourselves, yet we make our world so small.  The only way to stop the cycle of shame is to give it a voice and speak.   When you start sharing your story, other people realize how human you are, and it allows you to create connections with other people.  This is the only way shame loses its power. Guilt is saying “I did something bad”. Guilt and shame are a toxic combo.   Guilt comes from doing something that we perceive as bad.  You are not bad; you perceive that what you did was bad. I prefer not even using the words badly.  It can be tied to behaviour.  Guilt doesn’t stop, you have to choose to let it go. Guilt is something that we choose to carry. When we do something wrong, we are choosing to carry guilt. I ask myself the clarifying questions, “did I do the best with the information I had at the time?”  If it is something that we can’t change, constantly carrying the guilt is keeping us stuck in one moment.  That is living in the past.  “What are we actually feeling guilty about, and what is the story about what we are feeling guilty about? Peel back the layers and ask, what actually is the story, and what is the truth? Do not take advice from people who are not on the arena floor with you. If they are not there with you, let it go. Thank you, Brene Brown. What can you choose to let go of? What are the lessons you are meant to learn? How can you forgive yourself and use the lessons to your advantage? #158: Pivot and Thrive with Michell Champ Today we are speaking with Mindset Coach, Michell Champ. Michell is a serial entrepreneur at heart for the last 17 years, Michell has built successful businesses from scratch inside marketing and photography industries. In 2016 she left her career and pivoted into her true passion empowering females over 40. With her unique experience, Michell is able to confidently guide others' past fear so they can finally flip the switch for what they want and step into their second act in life. Michell is the founder of the Empire Blueprint, a 12-week program to help women over 40 pivot in their life and thrive. In this episode, we discuss: The bigger the decisions, the more we tend to live in the land of hem and haw. We can spend so much time in this land and not move forward and that doesn’t serve anyone.  There’s so much power in journaling to sort out your thoughts and it helps us to realize that we actually know and have the answers. If you feel that you are meant for more in your life, then you are. Your gut knows the path you are on and the universe will drop people or situations in your life to show you what your gut is telling you. Follow that pull! Pivoting is a journey. Once you decide you are so tired of being in one spot or space in time when so many things can change once the decision is made. People should vibrate out of your life as you continue to grow, and it opens up space for the right people to step into your life. We don’t tend to learn boundaries until life forces us to create them. Start by creating a boundary statement to help you in difficult circumstances. #157: Stop Resenting Your Strengths

#157: Stop Resenting Your Strengths

#157: Stop Resenting Your Strengths In this mindset episode, we are talking about the power of resentment and what role it can play in our lives.  This is the exercise that I do with my clients in the first week of the Radical Responsibility Mastermind.  This starts with the deep dive into our past stories, the ones we keep repeating, and what we learned from these lessons.  We pull these lessons out and they tend to be our strengths or our gifts, yet we don’t always see them that way.  I tell all of my clients that, “we can’t love ourselves and hate all of the things that made us who we are today.” Learning to embrace the lessons and look at them in a different light, changes our thinking.  This is a very vulnerable episode where I share some past stories on how I became the Advocate for myself in my life. In this episode, we discuss: Resentment is an emotion that sits in the same category as anger and jealousy. It is such a negative emotion and it holds us back in our life. How can we change the words we use to describe ourselves and shift our thinking? What words do you use to describe yourself? Are you fighting who you are at the core and creating this heavy level of resentment?  Where can you shift your energy from resentment to gratitude or love? There is a lot of personal power in you accepting and owning who you are! The things we can coach others on are the things that we are always learning on a continuous basis. 156: Sometimes You Have to Sit in the Flames

156: Sometimes You Have to Sit in the Flames

#156: Sometimes You Have to Sit in the Flames In this mindset episode, we are talking about the times in our life when we are sitting in the fire or the flames.  This is the starting point of transformation. It is as uncomfortable as hell and we can learn to ask the questions to help us move forward or stay in the fire.  What if the fire is exactly what we need to create the change that we need to make?   I love this quote by Stephanie Sparkles, “I love when people that have been through hell walk out of the flames carrying buckets of water for those still consumed by the fire.” In this episode, we discuss: Whatever you are resisting is what will persist. If you are sitting in the first and in a space of comparison or victim mindset, neither one of them will help you change your circumstances. Stop resisting the fire, learn to look at it differently. Ask a different question. The why questions keep us stuck and only thinking like a victim. Focus on gratitude. It is the smaller, mundane things that we see every day that can change or shift our thinking. This is how we train our brains to see things differently. The real transformation comes from sitting in the fire. What if the fire is there to burn off the parts of you and your story that you don’t need now or in the future? That is all part of the transformation you need to experience in order to move forward. Find something neutral with your words or mindset to not give it more energy than it is. Sometimes it just is, and that is ok. Adversity is not asking you to like it, it is not meant to be loveable.  What if it is there FOR you to move forward to help you in your transformation? This adversity is trying to move us forward. #155: Embracing Vulnerability with Craig Stanland

#155: Embracing Vulnerability with Craig Stanland Today we are speaking with Craig Stanland.  Craig is a coach, a Reinvention Architect, the author of the soon to be published memoir, The Blank Canvas, and a highly sought after public speaker with a TEDx Talk titled, "How I Learned My Greatest Worth in Federal Prison."  Craig’s mission is to help people whose lives have fallen apart, who want to start over rebuild and reinvent themselves so they can have the extraordinary life they've always wanted. In this episode, we discuss: Craig’s mantra is to live fully, connect deeply, and impact many. We talked ownership on all levels. Ownership is truly how you create freedom. Our greatest adversities become our greatest teachers when we become open to receiving the lessons. Finding our self-worth involves the ability to connect, love, and receive support from others. It involves expressing ourselves by being honest, practicing forgiveness, and self-compassion. The more we bottle up the shame, the more powerful shame becomes. The only way to release the shame is to build self-trust and that leads to allowing ourselves to embrace vulnerability. Our perspective determines our reality. Our stories can be the answers that others are looking for, and when we make our mission about others it helps us to move through and release our shame. #154: Vulnerability Opens Doors

#154: Vulnerability Opens Doors

#154: Vulnerability Opens Doors In this mindset episode, we are talking about the simple concept of vulnerability, and practicing vulnerability can literally change our lives.  "Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.  Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage." ~Brene Brown. Today we discuss what vulnerability is, how we can learn to practice it, and what doors it can open for us. In this episode, we discuss: Vulnerability is choosing courage over comfort. It is allowing us to be seen which allows others to see us.  It is our only form of creating connections with others.  The most powerful relationships we can build in our lives can only come from being vulnerable. We must be open to changing and growing. It requires both parties to be open to giving and receiving. It is a two-way street of energy exchange. Be willing to do it wrong before you get it right. You will be vulnerable to the wrong people before you build your circle to be vulnerable to the right people. We fear vulnerability because we are afraid of the judgment of others or of looking weak in the eyes of others. I really think it is our fear of seeing ourselves as being weak. We have to be in a space of understanding that it is not weak to ask for help.  It is strength to allow ourselves to be vulnerable. What is a lack of vulnerability costing you? What is it costing you to not show up and be yourself? What opportunities are you missing that are out there for you? When you learn to take Radical Responsibility for yourself you will be embracing vulnerability to build the connections with the people meant to be in your life. #153: Every Problem Has a Solution with Scott Aaron Today we are speaking with Scott Aaron.  He is a 2x Best Selling Author, Speaker, Business Coach, and Podcaster. Scott is passionate about helping fellow entrepreneurs achieve success while building their own network organically and without complicated and costly marketing tactics. He has helped thousands experience explosive growth following his simple, proven, and massively effective program. In this episode, we discuss: Every single problem has a solution. Spend time and energy focusing on the solutions and not the problem. Find gratitude every single day as all of our experiences are here to teach us something. Our story is literally being written every single day. Every business that has success during a time like COVID has learned how to find the positive in their situation and learned how to pivot as needed. Every time you start a question with “what if” you are stuck in a story and not in the truth. Watch your words and recognize if you are telling yourself a story that is keeping you stuck.  Stay with the truth and what you do know. You always have two options when faced with a problem, the victim card or the life experience card. As a victim, you tend to focus on being stuck on the story, and with the life experience card, you focus on gratitude and the lessons that the story is teaching you. #152: The Power of Difficult Conversations

#152: The Power of Difficult Conversations

#152: The Power of Difficult Conversations In this mindset episode, we are talking about the concept of difficult conversations.  2020 has been a year of difficult conversations and massive changes.  For some people this year has been an inconvenience and for some, it has been a year of massive change and transformation. When all the layers (distractions) peeled back this year and we went into isolation, we came face to face with what wasn’t working.  We were spending so much time being busy in distraction and we are avoiding facing what isn’t working…between relationships, work, health, and any other area of our lives.  This is nudging or forcing us to have difficult conversations with others and ourselves. What if this is a time that is a gift to show us what is working, the path we can follow, and what we can create in our lives? In this episode, we discuss: Go inward and ask yourself what is working and what isn’t working. Look for the alarm bells, look for what brings you joy and how can you put more joy in your life? Be willing to have difficult conversations with yourself. Ask different questions such as “what is this doing for me?” Focus on what you can control and that is the time that is right in front of you in the present moment. What changes or decisions can you make that will bring you more of what to experience in your life? Are you keeping yourself to avoid having difficult conversations with yourself or others? Be aware of the distractions you are creating. Manage (release) your expectations, your self-care, and what you need to do, add or remove from your day that can help you be your best self. Be aware of the energy you are wasting “waiting” to make the “right decision”. We tend to waste a ton of energy trying to make a decision.  Refer to episode #103 The Energy of Making Decisions, https://apple.co/3gqoE9c If you are interested in receiving the freebie for understanding your wheelhouse, please reach out to me at [email protected] and we will link you up to the email list. #151: Self Care is Like a Game of Wac-A-Mole

#151: Self Care is Like a Game of Wac-A-Mole

#151: Self Care is Like a Game of Wac-A-Mole In this mindset episode, we are talking about the simple concept of self-care and how it is truly our own responsibility.  Self-care is a moving target every single day and it makes me think of a game of wac-a-mole. The way you give to yourself is the way to give to others.  Learning how to fill your cup first to overflow is the only way you have something to give back to others.  I know this is a moving target and will require an ebb and flow process.  This is your cup and taking ownership of your cup is what can change how you show up in your life and in your business.   In this episode, we discuss: Your daily needs, responsibilities, and energies are changing on a daily basis. It is literally a moving target, and this is why it is so important to ask yourself “what do I need today”, and then having the courage and self-respect to listen to what you need. Modify or drop the expectations completely. Don’t blame others for what is or isn’t working.  You will never meet the expectations, so instead focus on raising your standards.   Want more info on the standards vs expectations, listen to the Episode #122 Standards vs Expectations https://apple.co/3g65XHF When you feel “off”, ask yourself if your self-care game is off. For some reason in times of stress, we actually drop our self-care practices which don’t set us up for success. What do you need to be the best version of you? Make a list of 5-10 things that allow you to be that best version, and now ask yourself if you are putting them into your day.  If no, then why not? Where can you fit this into your day to improve your chance of success? What if you have to ask for help? What if it is a change in your mindset that you deserve to feel good, to have the support, to have the time for yourself. Because you do. Don’t tell yourself that it is impossible for you, or it is easier for me. This story is keeping you stuck in your story.  If you are interested in receiving the freebie for understanding your wheelhouse, please reach out to me at [email protected] and we will link you up to the email list.   Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery Call, we launch again in August. #149: What is Your Wheelhouse?

#149: What is Your Wheelhouse?

#149: What is Your Wheelhouse? In this mindset episode, we are talking about the Wheelhouse.  This is one of the first things that we breakdown in the Radical Responsibility Mastermind.  It is so important to understand what lessons you are here to teach, share, or use to impact others.  Your business is unique to you because your story is unique to you.  Through your stories, you can identify what lessons you have lived multiple times over in your life, and in that space, you will find the gifts that you are meant to share with others.  This is not just for an online business.  It becomes the way to identify the spokes in your own wheelhouse which is a summary of all of the things you have learned in your life.  It is the map for how you moved through your story, from point A to point B.  Our stories, pain, and emotions are what connect us all to each other.  In this episode, we discuss: The spokes of your wheelhouse help you to identify the lessons you learned from your story and who you are here to help. The spokes become the direction of your business and how you can be authentic with your message. We learn this by breaking down our stories. People online, and everywhere are craving connection. You can make your most powerful connections by being real about sharing your stories.  The more you own who you are, the more powerful you can show up in the world. #148: Learning to Trust the Signs with Laura Poburan

#148: Learning to Trust the Signs with Laura Poburan Today we are speaking with Laura Poburan. Laura is a mentor to health, wellness, and nutrition coaches who dream of leading their clients beyond the scale into lives of freedom, fulfillment, and happiness. Laura and her husband turned $100K of debt into the key that ultimately unlocked their freedom.  Her story is one of sacrifice, ownership, and rising to the standard she now holds for all of the people she works with - one of purpose and passion to change the world by first creating a world you are proud of and thrive in.   In this episode, we discuss: There are times in our lives where we follow our choices and chase our dreams and then when we get “there” we realize that it is not what we wanted. Life is a container of the choices we do and don’t make. We must be willing to listen to and trust our intuition and have difficult conversations. Holding onto the things that no longer serve us is far more challenging than actually following through on the decisions that lead us to where we are meant to be. Owning our choices is where we find our freedom. Too many people stay stuck, small and suffocating when just on the other side of their fear is a world brimming with every pleasure they are fighting for in their current reality. We can completely re-write our story at any point in time. #147: Boundaries – Where Do I Even Start?

#147: Boundaries – Where Do I Even Start?

#147: Boundaries – Where Do I Even Start? In this mindset episode, we are talking about the word boundaries.  Years ago, I didn’t even know what a boundary was or how to even create one. Every time a counselor mentioned the word it felt impossible and selfish for me to have boundaries in my life.  Little did I know that understanding, learning, and creating boundaries would literally save my life.   I knew I had to share this with my clients and surprisingly very few people understood boundaries.  I broke it all down in this podcast episode for you.   In this episode, we discuss: Where are you missing boundaries in your life? Typically wherever you are experiencing anxiety is a clue that boundaries are missing.  Pick one place to start the work to create and implement boundaries in our lives. Do the work to understand what your personal values are. Keep working the list down to 5 – 7 words and these words become the basis for all of the yes and no decisions in your life. Once you have determined your values, take a look in your life to see where you can raise your standards, not your expectations. Raising your standards allows you to plan out your life accordingly to set yourself up for success. If you want a deeper understanding of standards and expectations, listen the Episode #122 Raise Your Standards Not Your Expectations, https://apple.co/32c6zaG Next, use your values to create your boundaries. Boundaries are not a piece of armor blocking the world out.  Instead, boundaries are a moving state like a balloon where we make it fit in a way that serves us best.  Boundaries allow us to protect ourselves to show up as the best version of ourselves in the world. Determine where your boundaries won’t work or where they tend to break down. We have to recognize where things are not working so we can put a plan into place to make it work. Our boundaries are all about us, they aren’t about anyone else. We must set our boundaries to honour the goals and priorities that we have set for our own lives. This is the only way we can conserve and honour our energy to be the best version of ourselves that we can be.     If you are interested in applying for the Fast Action Coaching Program for the month of July, 4 one-on-one coaching sessions, a choice of one of the 4 roadblocks, only 4 spots available.  Here is the link to apply, https://bit.ly/3ibl580   Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery Call, we launch again in August. #146: The Power of Guided Journaling with Christine Bergsma Today we are speaking with Christine Bergsma, Author, and Keynote Speaker.  Christine’s company, Journaling Through continues to set the bar for mental wellness, self-care, and empowerment in the progressive healthcare field. A holistic approach to our workshops, motivational speaking, and guided journals form the cornerstone to synergistically align all the parties involved. Known for her customization, ability to actively engage the audience with practical skills and insights, she masterfully facilitates and delivers information in a way that is understandable, actionable, and uplifting. Christine is recognized as an authority on sustainable self-care methodologies through decades of academic research and in-field experience. Having overcome Complex Post-traumatic-stress-disorder (C-PTSD), her understanding of holistic healing, when faced with a life-altering event, is transformative and empowering.   In this episode, we discuss: Everyone has mental health; it is a part of all of us. We must recognize the impact of our experiences and stories that have impacted and affected our mental health. Recognizing the trauma symptoms, we experience with PTSD and complex PTSD. Our bodies continue to go through physical experiences even though we are not in danger.  Learning the triggers helps us to navigate these symptoms and experiences. Christine shares how journaling became the key to working through the PTSD symptoms. This led to the creation of Journaling Through as she found the power of Guided Journaling and how different this was from regular journaling. Creating change in our life typically requires trying multiple different things such as a different therapist, new habits, and learning to process and let go of the guilt. Understanding that our experiences are not our fault. We can choose how we can respond and what we can do with our lessons.    Connect with Christine Email: [email protected] Website: www.journalingthroughlife.com Digital Journaling Platform Physical gift journals https://www.journalingthrough.life Instagram: https://instagram.com/Journaling_Through Facebook: https://facebook.com/JournalingThrough   Connect with Marsha: Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery call https://forms.gle/KWFSB1a42eSP9yx8A   About me – Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #145: Are You Really Stuck?

#145: Are You Really Stuck?

#145: Are You Really Stuck? In this mindset episode, we are talking about the words, “I am stuck”.  We use the words saying being stuck on a regular basis and the words themselves keep us stuck.  We are putting ourselves in that situation simply by the words we are using. Here are a few thoughts and tips to see if you actually are stuck, PS you are not. In this episode, we discuss: Ask yourself what you are fighting? What do you know and what is it that you don’t know? Are you living in comparison, go internal, and ask yourself the questions to see specifically what it is that is leaving you feeling stuck? If you are in the middle of making a decision and you are contemplating all sides of the decision, I encourage you to re-listen to Episode #103, The Energy of Making Decisions, https://apple.co/3iAMzUA Ask yourself the tough questions, such as what is it that you are truly afraid of? Keep asking the question until you can get down to the root of it.  Look at what isn’t working in your life and break down why it isn’t working?  Maybe the change you are looking for is only a couple of decisions away. Be mindful of the story you are telling yourself. Contemplating one difficult decision does not mean you are a complete failure, so don’t take a massive leap and tell yourself a story that just isn’t true. Remember that growth can be painful, change can also be painful. Nothing is as painful as staying stuck in a story or a life that is no longer serving you.  You staying “stuck” also doesn’t allow you to use your gifts, and someone is praying for a solution that you are holding onto. #144: The Roadblocks to Owning Your Story In this mindset episode, we are talking about the roadblocks to owning your story.  I receive messages on a regular basis asking these questions, so here’s the podcast addressing the roadblocks.  The four areas of questions that I receive involve finding my authentic voice (embracing vulnerability); boundaries in business and life; building your wheelhouse and building your platform business.  These are the roadblocks you can experience while on the path to taking radical responsibility for yourself.    In this episode, we discuss: Vulnerability is required in order to create connections with others. It is impossible to find your true authentic voice without embracing vulnerability. If it feels scary, then start practicing vulnerability with small aspects of yourself until you learn to trust that voice.  It will take time.  It won’t happen overnight.  It is a process and a practice. Boundaries are required for any healthy relationship to thrive. Boundaries are a sign of self-respect, what you will or won’t accept or allow in your life.  It is always a choice.  Tackle the boundaries in your personal life before you tackle the ones in your business.  It is impossible to run your business as an entrepreneur without boundaries. Building your wheelhouse involves breaking down your story to fully understand the things you can speak, coach, and write about because you know it like no one else. This is what you are here to do. This involves your gifts, what you can create the most impact with, with ease in your life.  Want to learn more about your wheelhouse?  Listen to episode #102 on Building Your Wheelhouse https://apple.co/2B8qhZL Building your platform business starts with picking the starting point that speaks to you, is an easy starting point, and picking only one starting point. Entrepreneurs try to take on so many different things at once, and then struggle to get things off the ground successfully.  This is a cycle of overwhelm that doesn’t lead to anywhere productive.   So how do you stop this cycle?  Start with one thing and give it the time and effort to get it off the ground.  This may be one-on-one coaching, group coaching, podcasting, speaking, or writing.  You likely know what the starting point is and where your gifts are best utilized.  Allow yourself to be successful at one thing, build your confidence, and allow your business to expand organically.  This is truly the best way to build your platform business.   If you are interested in learning more, join the zoom call, The Path to Radical Responsibility on Thursday, July 2nd, at 12 pm EST, https://bit.ly/2Vr8Vhk   If you are interested in applying for the Fast Action Coaching Program for the month of July, 4 one-on-one coaching sessions, a choice of one of the 4 roadblocks, only 4 spots available.  Here is the link to apply, https://bit.ly/3ibl580   Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery call https://calendly.com/mvanwyn761/radicalresponsibilitymastermind   About me – Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. She is an entrepreneur, writer, head-hunter, and global public speaker. She has been featured in Inc.com, Forbes.com, Yahoo News, Financial Post, Fast Company, and Success Magazine. Marina's mission is to help people scale the reach of their voices and to stand out and be heard. She is highly involved with Entrepreneurs’ Organization as the Canadian host of the global Forum Confidential podcast, Culture Expert for Canadian chapters, and contributor to Global Student Entrepreneur Awards. In this episode, we discuss: Marina’s strength is developing proprietary personal branding methodology and helping leaders be seen through the power of their personal brand. The vulnerability of connection is emotional ROI. Vulnerability is critical to connecting with others.  Being grateful for all of the lesson’s life is trying to teach us. It is not for us to understand our lessons, sometimes we simply have to trust that they are here to teach us something about ourselves. We are a brand, our business, our message, we are the brand. We must practice self-awareness of ourselves and secondly, we must Own it all. This is where we practice vulnerability.  This is owning all of who we are! The next step is to own our uniqueness. There is a reason we are who we are.  Lastly, we need a platform to stand up and to stand out. Incredible things can happen when we consistently show up and own who we are.  Our people can see us! #142: Squash Your Limiting Beliefs

#142: Squash Your Limiting Beliefs In this mindset episode, we are talking about limiting beliefs. It’s one thing to say, “I want to squash my limiting beliefs”, yet it is another thing to overcome and actually change your limiting beliefs.  There are a few key steps that we talked about in our mastermind call last week.  This is critical because whether you are building a business or creating change in your life, there is a process of changing your mindset and creating permanent change.   In this episode, we discuss: Identify the number one story or limiting belief that you are ready to change. Call out what the story is that you want to change and own every part of it. Be grateful for what your story taught you. Don’t judge it or be critical of yourself.  Our lessons learned were for a reason and they taught us to want we do or don’t want. Re-write the story, re-write what it looks like, feels like and sounds like. Affirmations, written scripts, mindset work, habits, and rituals can help to shift your mindset to believe what is possible. What tools can you put into place to help you when your positive mindset lapses? What do you do when you lose your belief, or you have those wall kicking moments?  Create some mantras, tricks, or concepts to change your thinking at the moment.  Again it is always you vs you. What can you do to overcome your thinking and actually beat yourself at your own game?   Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery call https://calendly.com/mvanwyn761/radicalresponsibilitymastermind   About me – Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. 141: Where Are Your Energy Leaks?

141: Where Are Your Energy Leaks?

#141: Where Are Your Energy Leaks? In this mindset episode, we are talking about finding our energy leaks.  We all have them, and some are subtle and some are blatantly obvious.  Our energy is the cornerstone of everything we do and create in our lives.  When our energy is low it is impossible to create change.  When our energy is high, we are literally unstoppable.  The thing is, we can actually create energy.  It isn’t something we have or don’t have, we can create it by our actions, choices, and definitely our boundaries.    In this episode, we discuss: Identifying where our energy leaks might be. Awareness is the only way to change them. In times of chaos and irregular schedules, we tend to have more energy leaks. This is where boundaries come into play. Looking at where we can create more energy in our lives. What habits or actions can we add into our day or remove from our day that can create more energy? What boundaries must be put into place? Boundaries with technology, rest, habits, social media can all change our energy. We don’t have to plug the holes where our energy is leaking. That stops the flow of all the good things that can come our way.  It is about putting boundaries into place to let the flow come in and out that can support our best self.  It is always you vs you. You can change this!     Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery call https://calendly.com/mvanwyn761/radicalresponsibilitymastermind   About me – Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #140: “You Didn’t Come This Far To Only Come This Far with Neldy Germain In this episode, I am speaking with Neldy Germain, Visual Artist, Content Producer, Podcast Host. Neldy Germain is a black creative artist specializing in large visual projects, community initiatives, and pop culture commentary. While Neldy is recognized as one of Montreal's most influential people, he'll lean into his Floridian identity when it’s relevant to the conversation. Most recently, Neldy can be seen contributing to Le Brotherhood talks and Lululemon's The Huddle event. His work has been featured in online publications, printed on the cover of magazines and displayed in museums. This father of two is a lover of bacon, hater of mayo, and bringer of hot takes on his podcast, The All Dressed Special. In this episode, we discuss: Be all in! Don’t let fear hold you back from the opportunities that are always available and right in front of you. The minority will never change the majority. It is up to the majority to change the majority.  We, as the majority, must speak up.  We cannot be silent. We must use our voices to impact and support the minority. “If sharing my story can help you to go further, then more of us need to share our stories.” Our stories are so important in helping each other to keep going further than we thought possible. Do the things you want to do as that will lead to fulfillment. Your happiness will open more doors than chasing money ever will. Figuring out what you want is a long process. It always requires taking introspection first.  It is an internal job and commitment to focus on what we truly want to create. #139: It’s Time to Get Off the Fence

#139: It’s Time to Get Off the Fence   In this mindset episode, we are talking about getting off the fence.  This year has been things we couldn’t have predicted or foreseen at this level.  With the effects and impact of COVID, and the recent murder and loss of George Floyd, it has created a rise in the racial issues and inequalities.  Worldwide protests, hundreds of thousands of dollars raised to support BIPOC.  It has heightened fears, awareness, and the need for changes to occur. I share my honest and vulnerable message and commitment in this podcast that we all need to do better, and if we have built a platform in the social media world to grow our businesses, then it is also the time to use this platform and voice to support people who need it the most.  If not then honestly why are we doing it? I committed to the process of impacting, serving, and supporting others.  This is the time to do exactly this!   In this episode, we discuss: The majority is the only thing that can change the majority. It is time for white people to speak up and add our voice for support to the BIPOC community. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”, Martin Luther King Jr. It is the time to commit to educating ourselves and using our voice for good, to help those that need it most. It is not the time to be silent. It is the time for radical responsibility for ourselves, our choices, and for taking a stance to support others. These are crimes that affect all of humanity, and as a fellow human, I will give my voice, support, and platform to help others. I have dedicated this platform to talk about the things that others don’t want to talk about and this is definitely one of those issues. We can all practice more kindness, compassion, and love for our fellow humans. It is time for us to BE the change we wish to see in the world. #138: Stop Feeding Your Fears

#138: Stop Feeding Your Fears

#138: Stop Feeding Your Fears In this mindset episode we are talking about the process of feeding our fears.  We can either feed our fears or we can feed our vision for the future.  When we feed the fears are continuing to keep ourselves stuck and not creating any chance for feedback to provide us information of what our next step could be.  Our fears can actually guide us when we learn to trust our intuition and inner voice. It is always you vs. you. You are responsible for sharing your story, you are not responsible for how someone else reads your story. In this episode, we discuss: When we feed our fears by staying stuck, we breed more fear and doubt and no change will happen. No change is a decision and a choice. We are the only ones who are can create change in our own lives. When we get into action, we build confidence and courage in ourselves and this gives us feedback about what we want to do in our lives.  It helps us on our future yes and no’s. This is a positive feedback loop. Be willing to try, to get into massive messy action to start somewhere. We have the opportunity to be an inspiration and support for others, by giving others hope for what is possible. The more we focus on the fear and stay stuck, the more we are making it all about ourselves. Yes it is true.  What if your story, your lessons actually aren’t meant for you? It is always you vs you. Leisse Wilcox is a transformational life and mindset coach who teaches purpose-driven individuals how to elevate their impact using emotional intelligence. A passionate speaker, dynamic thought leader, author, NLP practitioner, podcast host, taco enthusiast, cancer survivor, and mom of three, her entire experience has been about coming home to her truest self, and to call herself “beloved.” Leisse teaches purpose driven individuals to turn the difficult and ugly into something purposeful and beautiful, using a process she calls “Emotional Alchemy, “and genuinely believes that changing the world starts by making the changes we want to see within ourselves, first.  An expert featured on Simple Habit, and an entrepreneurial advisor with StartUp Canada, Leisse’s intention is to guide people to come home to themselves, giving them permission to live, authentically. Leisse’s first book To Call Myself Beloved will be available in the fall of 2020, and you can watch her on Season 2 of Amazon Prime's "The Social Movement.”   In this episode, we discuss: We have to heal it to feel it. We cannot heal anything that we are not willing to feel. The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, we must trust each phase of our lives and each step becomes the stepping-stone for the next phase of our lives. You are always enough for you. Our feelings are a constant feedback to us. Stay open to the messages as they provide valuable feedback for what is working and what is not working for us. We have lived in the masculine energy of doing more for so long, now in a time of covid and isolation, we are being forced to slow down, be present, surrender and embrace our feminine energy. #136: Saying Thank You to Our Past Stories

#136: Saying Thank You to Our Past Stories In this mindset episode we are talking about owning our past stories and saying thank you for the lessons.  Our past stories make us who we are, and at one point our strengths become our weaknesses.  Nothing will change until we accept and decide that we must do things differently.  That doesn’t mean hating our past stories.  It means owning all parts of ourselves and make the choices that will take us in the direction of what we want to create in our lives. In this episode, we discuss: Our past stories make us who we are. It doesn’t serve us to hate them.  We can’t deny ourselves or accept only the parts that we love.  It doesn’t work that way. Embrace all the stories that make us who we are, that is truly where our power is. Every single relationship we have in our lives stems from the relationship we have with ourselves.  It all starts there. Call out the old story that has made you who you are. Be aware of it, call it out, and love it. What one new story that you would like to re-write about yourself? Fully understanding and embracing your stories is the path to completely changing your stories and the start of building your business. #135: What is Missing in Your Business?

#135: What is Missing in Your Business?

#135: What is Missing in Your Business? In this mindset episode, we are talking about the missing pieces when building a business.  We tend to spend so much time thinking about logos, websites or platforms that we forget that the most important thing to bring to your business as an entrepreneur, is learning how to bring yourself to your business.  You are the thing that makes your business unique.  You literally are your business.  The more work you do on yourself, the more you will allow yourself to be seen in your business.    In this episode, we discuss: Using this space that COVID is giving us to look at the possibility of starting a new business. There are so many people who are creating new businesses to put themselves in the driver’s seat of their future. When you are building your business, don’t get wrapped up in all of the things that actually don’t matter. You are your business.  As an entrepreneur, you are the heart of your business.  How you show up and allow yourself to be seen is a factor in how your business grows. This is not the time to overconsume, sit in comparison with others, or measuring your success to others who are building their businesses. This is a time to go internal and allow yourself to show up in your most authentic way possible.  If you feel like no one can hear you, ask yourself if you are trying to sound like everyone else? When you sound like everyone else, no one can hear you.  You are not doing yourself or your business justice and you may be stunting its growth. Learning how to bring yourself to your business will allow it to grow to levels you could never imagine.   Connect with Marsha: FREE 30 mins IMPACT Discovery Call https://calendly.com/mvanwyn761/impact-call Fill out the Radical Responsibility Mastermind Application to book your Discovery call https://calendly.com/mvanwyn761/radicalresponsibilitymastermind   About me – Marsha Vanwynsberghe — Author, Speaker, and Life Coach Marsha is the 6-time Bestselling Author of “When She Stopped Asking Why”.  She shares her lessons as a parent who dealt with teen substance abuse far past the level of normal experimentation. #134: Grow Your Impact and Grow Your Income with Jenn Kennedy In this episode, I am speaking with Jenn Kennedy Jenn Kennedy is a former teacher and aspiring principal turned entrepreneur who stumbled into creating her own business after helping a few friends conquer weight loss. She quickly realized, as an entrepreneur, she could make a greater impact in this world, and build the income she dreamed of. She scaled to 6-figures within the first year and now shows coaches how to do the same. Jenn believes we're given both gifts and adversities to impact as many lives possible and that your income is directly related to the number of people you are able to impact. She's here to help entrepreneurs grow their impact and income and live the life they dream of as a result. In this episode, we discuss: Be all in! Don’t let fear hold you back from the opportunities that are always available and right in front of you. Listen and trust your intuition. When creating change or investing in a mentor, what will take you to the next step you need to take. Don’t get distracted by 10-20 steps ahead.   We are all capable of creating an impact when we truly step into our own personal power. To make a connection with the mind you must make a connection with the heart. When you continually see a problem in front of you, maybe you are the one to provide the solution. Entrepreneurship may find you when you are open to seeing it. You have the ability to change anything by changing your perspective. #133: Who Else Needs to Hear Your Story?

#133: Who Else Needs to Hear Your Story?

#133: Who Else Needs to Hear Your Story? In this mindset episode, we are talking about who else needs to hear your story.  When we are in the middle of difficult times or scenarios, we aren’t seeing much else other than what is in front of us.  It is hard to see outside of ourselves.  When we can start to look outside of ourselves, see how our story can help others or make an impact, and it starts to give a purpose to our stories.  The lessons we learn are not for us, they are for us to pay it forward to others.  That is when we realize that our stories can actually make a huge difference for others.  Someone is praying for the solutions we learned on our journey.  That is a thought that keeps me going to continue to share my story.   In this episode, we discuss: Someone is praying for the solutions you learned on your journey. The person who is praying for solutions could be someone you don’t even know or haven’t met yet. Imagine you are leading people you can’t see yet. They don’t know you, yet they will find their way to you once you are able to use your voice to share your story. What if by sharing your story you grow into the person you are meant to be? What if you expedite your own growth and it allows you to step into an even bigger vision to impact even more people?  What if your story happened to you for a reason to nudge you into this path of growth because you are meant to help more people? When you ask different questions, it opens your mind to other possibilities. It isn’t about sharing our story because we want to be inspiring to other people. It is about sharing our story because it is a roadmap or a compass for someone else. Because you have lived it, it means you can teach it to others.
