Joelle Suess | Podcast Producer & Entrepreneur
Welcome to the Living in Sync Podcast, I am your host Joelle Suess and on this podcast you are going to be hearing how you can live fully into the present moment of your life no matter what stage, season, or phase (of your cycle) you are in.
I have been an accidental entrepreneur for over a decade. I have experience in direct sales, course creation, 1;1 nutrition coaching, and everything in between. For a long time I put myself into a box. At first it was at home fitness, then it was intentional productivity as a mom, then it went back to hormone health and cycle syncing, and now I am just sharing it all with you. I am going to be sharing solo topic episodes as well as amazing guest conversations about all the things.
No matter if you are a stay at home mom, corporate climber, entrepreneur, or anything in between I hope you enjoy each weeks topics because it is going to be a blend of everything! Health, wellness, nutrition, and living in sync with your cycle will still be some of our highlighted topics but why do we have to be so obsessed with our bodies losing weight when life is so bountiful and beautiful. There is so much more to life!
I am in the midst of evolving, changing, and challenging myself!
If you are in for real life topics of conversation make sure you are following the show so you don’t miss an episode!

Women, Money, & Faith | Exploring the Proverbs 31 Woman: A Biblical Guide to Financial Wisdom for Women
There's a lot of really unique and specific things that make the feminine Edge collective special. One of those things is a monthly Bible study. My faith and understanding that this is how we were made by God and understanding our body and our biology as His creation is very important to me. But just like the living in saying podcast in The Feminine Edge Collective, sometimes we talk about a lot of different topics. And today I am bringing you one of the Bible studies that I hosted on Women and Money and the Feminine Edge. Collective members have loved this one. This is one that they say they play on repeat again and again, because in the Feminine Edge Collective we have an app so you can see the classes on video or I have a private podcast feed for you when you join the Feminine Edge Collective and so this private podcast feed can be accessed on the podcast apps. And this is one that they have said they've listened to time and time again.

Syncing Your Fitness and Nutrition with Your Menstrual Cycle | A Well-Rounded Approach: Understanding Your Menstrual Cycle for Better Fitness and Nutrition
I am going to share with you how to understand and optimize your fitness and nutrition based on where you are at in your cycle. I absolutely love this episode because I'm going to teach you how this leads to a well-rounded way of training, a better understanding of your body and your biology, so things just start making sense.
That's the big thing with my living in sync method. And what I teach is instead of wondering "why do I have these crazy cravings or why am I not feeling motivated, why am I not sleeping good this week?" Instead of having that, "why am I feeling this way?" You are understanding what's going on in your biology, that your hormones are different based on where you are at in your cycle, and you can bring that better understanding to either give yourself grace or to optimize and work with it. This is also really, really great for having variety in your fitness and nutrition plans.

ADHD & Hormones: When Your Brain Goes on a Roller Coaster Ride | Hormones, ADHD, and Postpartum: Unraveling the Complex Connection

You will learn the effects of hormone fluctuations during different phases of the menstrual cycle, with symptoms potentially worsening during the luteal phase.
I also mention the importance of understanding postpartum hormonal changes and the need for more research in this area. Check out the recommend resources such as Dr. Jolene Brighten's article and Patricia Sung's podcast for further information and support.

What if you saw it from a different angle?
In this episode of the Living in Sync podcast, host Joelle, a certified nutritionist, discusses the topic of tracking food and how it can be used as a tool for mindful eating and achieving health goals. Realistically Living in Sync with Your Cycle: How & Why Any Woman Can Sync with Their Cycle!
Understanding your menstrual cycle and cycle syncing can empower you to take control of your health and wellbeing, and to live in harmony with your body's natural rhythms.
Understanding cycle syncing (a term from Alisa Vitti) can have numerous benefits for women, both in terms of their physical and mental health. Cycle syncing involves aligning your daily routines, diet, exercise, and other habits with your menstrual cycle, which is a reflection of your body's hormonal fluctuations. By doing so, you can optimize your energy levels, mood, sleep, and productivity, as well as reduce symptoms of PMS and menstrual cramps.
But for many women they do not feel they can realistically make life changes because their cycle - and I totally understand that - but understanding your biology will help you better understand yourself.

Is Life Too Busy? From Burnout to Balance: How to Create a Productive Mindset When You’re Busy
I have lived through both "hustle culture" and "slow living." Both had their positive and negative impacts on my mental, physcial, and emotional health.
One brought on a lot of "success" while the other left me feeling like I was "missing" something and not living to my maximum potential.
Now I have a beautiful blend of both in what I like to call... Intentionally Busy! Living a full well-rounded life in the midst of a very busy season.
What is Intentionally Busy?
Being busy is often perceived as a negative thing in our society, as if it means we're overworked, stressed, and have no time to enjoy life. However, being busy isn't necessarily a bad thing in and of itself. It can be a sign that we're actively pursuing our goals, taking on new challenges, and growing in our personal and professional lives. Being busy can also help us stay engaged and motivated, and can lead to a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. It's important, however, to find a balance between being productive and overworking ourselves, and to make sure we're taking care of our physical and mental health.
Ultimately, being busy isn't inherently good or bad—it's all about how we approach it and what we make of our time.

Declutter Your Home, Spend Less Time Cleaning, and Create a Reset Routine | Guest Lisa Lizotte
Today we have a great episode on decluttering your home, how to spend less time cleaning, and create a reset routine that makes your home feel tidy and peaceful each and every night.
Our homes are the space and place for us to gather, live, and rest!
While I personally am not a minimalist - I do keep things very simple, clean, and tidy in our home because I want to take care of it. I don't enjoy cleaning, but I do enjoy a peaceful, put together space and while I am in the midst of motherhood with toys all around and some clutter I can still enjoy my home and keep it decluttered.

My 2023 Fitness & Nutrition Plan - Workout for More Energy, Feeling Good, & Mental Health - Nutrition Strategy
As someone in the health and fitness industry for over a decade I know that I wanted to create a sustainable, but semi-structured plan in 2023.
I first started out with knowing what purpose I wanted my workouts to do for me and that was boiled down to giving me more energy, supporting my mental health, and feeling strong! Once I knew the purpose and the feeling for me I resonated with a plan and strategy that will realistically work with my life. I am also focusing on progressive overload and being intentional in my strength training workouts to make progress. I've done strength training workouts always but just wasn't intentional with tracking weights and reps.
