Is it possible to live a life of meaning and purpose even if we are in a dead-end job? Yes. And doing that might be the secret to a happy life.
When we live a life of meaning and identify with our purpose, research shows we live healthier, happier lives. Yet, we all have roles and responsibilities that may feel less than fulfilling. Even then it is possible to connect with our purposes and find meaning by looking at the patterns in our lives and recognizing the times we feel devoid of purpose and connected to it.
Our purpose doesn't diminish based on our jobs or responsibilities, but how we express it will change throughout our lives. By reframing the moments of our lives, evaluating our values, and defining what success means to us we can create meaningful, satisfying, purposeful lives in even the most difficult circumstances.
In this week's episode, Polly explains how using questions to prompt reflection can help us move closer to the meaningful lives we want to live.
