In this episode, we kick off Black History Month by Queen P, reciting the poem/hymn "Lift Every Voice And Sing " by James Weldon Johnson. This song was written in 1900 on President Lincoln's birthday and was very popular in the Black community. Back then the song became known as the "Negro Nation Anthem". Today, it's come to be known as the "Black National Anthem". Dim the lights, sit back, relax and together let's listen to Queen P share with us the words of "Lift Every Voice And Sing".
