Deep Inside The Bohemian Grove
The Bohemian Grove
Bohemian Grove is a restricted 2,700-acre (1,100 ha) campground at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, United States, belonging to a private San Francisco–based gentlemen's club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a more than two-week encampment of some of the most prominent men in the world.[1][2]
The Bohemian Club's all-male membership includes artists and musicians, as well as many prominent business leaders, government officials, former U.S. presidents, senior media executives, and people of power.[3][4] Members may invite guests to the Grove. Guests may be invited to the Grove for either the "Spring Jinks" in June or the main July encampment. Bohemian Club members can schedule private day-use events at the Grove any time it is not being used for Club-wide purposes, and they are allowed at these times to bring spouses, family, and friends, although female and minor guests must be off the property by 9 or 10 pm.[5]
After 40 years of membership, the men earn "Old Guard" status, giving them reserved seating at the Grove's daily talks, as well as other perquisites. Former U.S. president Herbert Hoover was inducted into the Old Guard on March 4, 1953; he had joined the club exactly 40 years prior.[6] Redwood branches from the Grove were flown to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, where they were used to decorate a banquet room for the celebration. In his acceptance speech, Hoover compared the honor of the "Old Guard" status to his frequent role as veteran counselor to later presidents.[7]
BOHEMIAN GROVE
The Club motto is "Weaving Spiders Come Not Here," which implies that outside concerns and business deals (networking) are to be left outside. When gathered in groups, Bohemians usually adhere to the injunction, although discussion of business often occurs between pairs of members.[2] Important political and business deals have been developed at the Grove.[5] The Grove is particularly famous for a Manhattan Project planning meeting that took place there in September 1942, which subsequently led to the atomic bomb. Those attending this meeting included Ernest Lawrence, J. Robert Oppenheimer, the S-1 Executive Committee heads, such as the presidents of Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, along with representatives of Standard Oil and General Electric as well as various military officials. At the time, Oppenheimer was not an S-1 member, although Lawrence and Oppenheimer hosted the meeting.[8] Grove members take particular pride in this event and often relate the story to new attendees.[2] Other behavior at the campground has led to numerous claims and even some parody in popular culture. One example was President Richard Nixon's comments from a May 13, 1971, tape recording talking about upper-class San Franciscans: "The Bohemian Grove, which I attend from time to time—it is the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine, with that San

The Matrix-Mandela Paradox PART II
The Matrix-Mandela Paradox
PART II
Have you ever remembered something in a particular way only to discover you’ve remembered it all wrong? If so, it sounds like you’ve experienced the phenomenon known as the “Mandela effect”.
This form of collective misremembering of common events or details first emerged in 2010, when countless people on the internet (allegedly) falsely remembered that Nelson Mandela was dead. It was widely believed he had died in prison during the 1980s. In reality, Mandela was actually freed in 1990 and passed away in 2013 – despite some people’s claims they remember clips of his funeral on TV.
Paranormal consultant Fiona Broome coined the term “Mandela effect” to explain this collective misremembering, and then other examples started popping up all over the internet. For instance, it was wrongly recalled that C-3PO from Star Wars was gold, actually one of his legs is silver. Likewise, people often wrongly believe that the Queen in Snow White says, “Mirror, mirror on the wall”. The correct phrase is “magic mirror on the wall”. Not True.

Is CERN Causing Collective Mass Delusion by Creating Portals to Alternate Dimensions? An Investigation
The Mandela Effect is real, but no one knows what causes it. CERN would like you to know it’s not their particle collider.
By Jason Koebler
Cynthia Sue Larson has been on the lookout since July 5, when CERN turned the world’s most powerful particle collider back on for a third time. Larson is looking for “reality shifts and Mandela Effects,” or evidence of multiple universes, timelines, rips in the space-time continuum, or other evidence that reality as we know it has been distorted by the Large Hadron Collider.
“I’ve been paying attention to see whether reports of Mandela Effects might increase, now that CERN’s Large Hadron Collider fired back up again,” Larson, the author of Reality Shifts and Quantum Jumps, told Motherboard. “So far I’ve not yet noticed large-scale reports of new Mandela Effects in the past day or so, though it does seem there is a large and growing interest in the Mandela Effect.”
CERN has noticed.
“I’ve seen a lot of videos go viral making claims about CERN, and when I see that it tells me we need to communicate even further, because they’re getting informed by the conspiracy theories they hear,” Clara Nellist, a particle physicist who works on CERN’s ATLAS, a Large Hadron Collider experiment seeking to learn more about the basic building blocks of matter, the fundamental forces of nature, and what dark matter is made of told Motherboard. Nellist posts on TikTok as @ParticleClara about the Large Hadron Collider and, sometimes, about CERN conspiracy theories.
The Mandela Effect, in which large numbers of people all misremember the same thing about pop culture (it's always been "Double Stuf" Oreos), is a highly interesting conspiracy theory, in part because it is verifiably real. Scientists at the University of Chicago recently described it as “an internet phenomenon describing shared and consistent false memories for specific icons in popular culture." Their paper described an empirically observable phenomenon that persisted across people with no clear explanation. Where things get difficult is when people suggest that CERN—an organization that studies physics phenomena—is cast as potentially causing those phenomena.
A mix of conspiracy theorists, researchers like Larson, and regular people have been searching for an explanation for this collective cognitive dissonance and false memory for decades. The International Mandela Effect Conference (IMEC) is a group that broadly studies the phenomenon and held conferences in 2019 and 2020 for people who swear that the “Berenstain Bears” were actually the “Berenstein Bears,” that the Monopoly Man wore a monocle (he doesn’t and never has), that there was a movie called “Shazaam” that featured Sinbad as a genie, and, of course, that Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 1980s (he didn’t).

THE TIKTOK GENERATION PART II
THE TIKTOK GENERATION PART II
The story of TikTok is a tale of two halves. In the West, teenagers grew up with the music-focused social app, Musical.ly. In the East, teenagers enjoyed Douyin (branded TikTok for the western world). In 2018, the apps joined together. There has been a meteoric rise of TikTok in a relatively short period.
Since TikTok’s merger with Musical.ly user numbers have soared. This is partly because of a smart marketing campaign by ByteDance (who own TikTok). They have advertised TikTok virtually everywhere that young people hang out – including opposition social sites, such as Snapchat and YouTube.
Yet, if you asked the average person about TikTok, most would claim never to have heard of it – certainly, if they are over 30 and not a parent. TikTok has one of the tightest demographics of any social network and remains virtually unknown to people outside that age range.
Celebrities Take an Interest in TikTok
With the rise of TikTok downloads, it became inevitable that celebrities and high-profile people would take an interest in the platform. As the Guardian reported, “The success of any burgeoning app is often tied to the early adoption of a key celebrity. The fortunes of Snapchat have been closely tied to the whims of Kylie Jenner, Instagram has Selena Gomez, and Twitter now has a certain Mr. Trump. For TikTok, late-night comedian Jimmy Fallon may be the user that pushes it over the edge in the United States.”
Jimmy Fallon spoke about TikTok videos on a segment on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2018. He suggested that people might like to use TikTok to upload videos of themselves lip-syncing along to standup comedy routines. He encouraged viewers to take part in a series of challenges, such as the #TumbleweedChallenge, where people stop what they’re doing and roll around on the ground like a tumbleweed while an old western movie soundtrack plays.
Skateboarder, Tony Hawkes, is another who has taken to TikTok. He has a verified account with 2.5 million fans and 13.2 million hearts. While he has only shared a few videos to date, they have been hugely popular.

Even the Terminator now has a TikTok appearance., setting up his account in March. His early videos focus on fitness and health, and he has a customized hashtag, #likearnold.

THE FUTURE OF FREE SPEECH
FREE SPEECH VS. FREEDOM OF SPEECH
DEFINITION:
free·dom of speech
noun
the right to express any opinions without censorship or restraint.
Experts say attacks on free speech are rising across the U.S.
Politics Mar 15, 2023 5:13 PM EDT
In Idaho, an art exhibit was censored and teens were told they couldn’t testify in some legislative hearings. In Washington state, a lawmaker proposed a hotline so the government could track offensively biased statements, as well as hate crimes. In Florida, bloggers are fighting a bill that would force them to register with the state if they write posts criticizing public officials.
Meanwhile, bans on books and drag performances are growing increasingly common nationwide.
“We are seeing tremendous attacks on First Amendment freedoms across the country right now, at all levels of government. Censorship is proliferating, and it’s deeply troubling,” said Joe Cohn, legislative and policy director with the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
“This year, we’re seeing a wave of bills targeting drag performances, where simply being gender nonconforming is enough to trigger the penalty. We’re also seeing a wave of bills regulating what can be in public or K-12 school libraries,” Cohn said. “On college campuses, we have been tracking data about attempts to get faculty members punished or even fired for speech or expression and the numbers are startling — it’s the highest rate that we’ve seen in our 20 years of existence.”
First Amendment rights had been stable in America for decades, said Ken Paulson, director of the Free Speech Center at Middle Tennessee State University, but in recent years many states have reverted to the anti-speech tactics employed by people like Sen. Joe McCarthy during the “Red Scare” of the early 1950s.
WATCH: Librarians in Louisiana at odds with conservative activists working to ban books
McCarthy and others tried to silence political opponents by accusing them of being communists or socialists, using fear and public accusations to suppress basic free speech rights. The term “McCarthyism” became synonymous with baseless attacks on free expression, and the U.S. Supreme Court has referred to the phenomena in several First Amendment-related rulings.
“We are seeing a concerted wave that we have not seen in decades,” said Paulson, highlighting states like Florida where Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has pushed for legislation that would criminalize drag shows, limit what pronouns teachers can use for students, allow parents to determine what books can be in libraries and block some history classes entirely.
“It’s pretty mind-boggling that so many politicians are waving the flag of freedom while doing anything they possibly can to infringe on the free speech rights of Americans,” Paulson said.
Still, no one political group has a monopoly on censorship — aggression is increasing across the spectrum, Cohn said.
Washington state’s bias hotline bill, which died in committee earlier this year, was sponsored by Democratic Sen. Javier Valdez and backed by several groups including the Anti-Defamation League, Urban League, Council on American-Islamic Relations and others. It aimed to help the state collect information about hate crimes and bias incidents and to provide support and compensation to victims at a time when hate crime reports are rising.
Opponents, including the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, said they feared it would chill protected speech because it encompasses both criminal behavior and offensively biased statements.
Hate speech can be damaging and repugnant, but is still generally protected by the First Amendment. The Department of Homeland Security and experts who study extremism have warned that hateful rhetoric can be seen as a call to action by extremists groups.

Oregon created a similar bias hotline in 2019. It received nearly 1,700 calls in 2021, with nearly 60 percent of the reported incidents falling short of criminal standards, according to an annual report from Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum’s office.
“People in power target their political adversaries, so who is being silenced really depends on where you are on the map and its individual context,” Cohn said.
Artist Katrina Majkut experienced that first-hand last week, when artworks she had shown in more than two dozen states over the past decade were unexpectedly censored at a small state school in Lewiston, Idaho.
Majkut uses embroidery to highlight and subvert historically narrow ideas of wifedom and motherhood. She was hired to curate an exhibit at Lewis-Clark State College focusing on health care issues like chronic illness, pregnancy and gun violence.
But March 2, a day before the show’s opening, Majkut and two other artists were told some of their work would be removed over administrator fears about running afoul of Idaho’s “No Public Funds for Abortion Act.”
The 2021 law bars state-funded entities from promoting abortion or taking other measures that could be seen as training or counseling someone in favor of abortion.
Majkut’s cross-stitch depicting misoprostol and mifepristone tablets — which can be used together to induce abortion early in pregnancy — was removed from the exhibit along with a wall plaque detailing Idaho’s abortion laws.
Four documentary video and audio works by artist Lydia Nobles that showed women talking about their own experiences with abortion were also removed. And part of artist Michelle Harney’s series of 1920s-era letters written to Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger were stricken from the show.
“To be censored like that is shocking and surreal,” said Majkut, who designs her art to be educational rather than confrontational. “If the most even-keeled, bipartisan artwork around this topic is censored, then everything is going to be censored.”
READ MORE: Florida Republicans advance bills on gender identity, defamation
Logan Fowler, the spokesman for LCSC, said the school made the decision after consulting with attorneys about whether showing the art could violate the law. Republican Rep. Bruce Skaug, the author of the law, said Tuesday that it was not intended to “prevent open discussion” of abortion — only to prevent tax dollars from being used to promote it.
The art exhibit censorship comes just two months after another controversial decision by Skaug. As chairman of the Idaho House Judiciary and Rules Committee, Skaug announced in January that people under age 18 would not be allowed to testify in his committee. Another Republican committee chair soon followed suit.
Lawmakers have the ability to limit committee testimony, and often use those limits to keep the legislature’s work focused and timely. Still, the age-based speech restriction appeared to be a first for the state.
A group of teens took action, launching phone and email campaigns staging protests.
“There is a clear lack of foresight in politicians who seek to eliminate the voices of those who will one day elect and eventually supersede them,” a group of 32 high school student leaders wrote in a joint opinion piece sent to news outlets across the state. “We ask Idaho’s Republican leaders, what are you so afraid of?”
The lawmakers eventually modified their rules, allowing youth to testify as long as they have signed permission slips from a parent or guardian.
Skaug said the rule was necessary to ensure parents are aware if their kids are leaving school to testify at the Statehouse. He still intends to give priority to older residents when testimony time is limited, but said he’s not aware of any youth actually being denied the chance to testify so far this year.
For Cohn, the efforts in Idaho and elsewhere reflect the danger of trying to restrict the expression of people who hold opposing views.
“We have to be ever-vigilant if we want our culture of individual freedoms to prevail,” he said. “Bad ideas are better dealt with through debate and dialogue than government censorship.”

DEBBIE GREENBERG: INSIDE THE CAVERN CLUB
DEBBIE GREENBERG: INSIDE THE CAVERN CLUB
As a teenager Debbie Greenberg was spending far too much time at the Cavern Club in her hometown of Liverpool, England. It was already the most famous music club in the world, where she had been dazzled by the Beatles’ debut performance and had witnessed their rise to stardom for two years before watching the local heroes leave home.
Then in 1966, after the previous owner declared bankruptcy, her father asked her out of the blue if she thought it would be a good idea to take over the club. It was an offer she couldn’t refuse. She’d been a Cavern fanatic since it was a jazz club, hardly missing a lunchtime or evening rock session until its closure a few weeks before – amid mass protests by Liverpool youth.
Now she was suddenly part of a new family business, faced with the task of helping to breathe new life into the now dilapidated rock ’n’ rollin' launchpad of the legendary Mersey Beat.
This first-hand account of her ten years frequenting and eventually helping to run the original Cavern Club is an authentic inside story of this unique Beatles shrine, full of triumphs and failures – and surprise celebrity encounters.
And The Rest, as they say, IS HISTORY.

Crisis in America: The Runaway Epidemic
THE RUNAWAYS: AMERICA IN CRISIS
This month, as we observed National Runaway Prevention Month, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), one of our long-standing partners in addressing runaway youth, put a spotlight on the invisible faces of youth who are homeless.
On a single night in 2018, 4,093 children under the age of 18 were counted as homeless because they were not part of a family with children or not under the care of a parent or guardian, according to the Annual Homeless Assessment Report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The National Runaway Safeline reports that between 1.6 million and 2.8 million youth run away each year.
In 2020, of the 27,000 missing child cases reported to the Center, 91% were for endangered runaways. NCMEC provides support services to families and victims and raises awareness to help bring these youth home. Last year the Center launched the “Runaway Train” campaign, which reimagined the music video from 25 years earlier that featured missing children and helped close 21 cases. The dynamic new video updates images of missing children based on a viewer's location.
Runaway and homeless youth are more likely to engage in substance use and delinquent behavior, become teenage parents, drop out of school, suffer from sexually transmitted diseases, meet the criteria for mental illness, and have an increased risk of being sexual exploited and trafficked. The risk for homelessness is also increased for youth living in the foster care system. In fact, youth who experience multiple placements in foster care, have a history of running away from them, and who have spent time in a group home are most at risk of homelessness. Those aged 15 when they first enter foster care have the highest risk of running away. Homeless youth also have a high rate of involvement in the juvenile justice system.

The Mysterious Death of Actor Bob Saget
He died on the bed with his right arm across his chest and left arm on the bed.
Wait. That's not right! Police say he died on the bathroom as a result of hitting his head on the bathroom floor. One problem, bathroom was bone dry, not a drop of water on the floor. How did he slip and what did he slip on?
How was it that his head was so badly damaged in multiple places if all that happened was he slipped on the bathroom floor?
Saget was on a comedy tour in Florida, with his first show of 2022 at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, and had performed in Ponte Vedra Beach near Jacksonville the day before, according to his Instagram page.
In his final Instagram post, Saget shared a photo of himself on stage with the caption, "I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it."
Citing authorities, Saget "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep," the statement read. It also noted that "no drugs or alcohol were involved."
A fracture was found at the base of Saget's skull with evidence of bleeding around the brain, according to the medical examiner.
The medical examiner suggested that Saget may have fallen and hit something hard, following by something soft, such as a carpeted floor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ORLANDO, Fla. — Fractures around Bob Saget's eye sockets and bleeding around his brain were possibly caused by the comedian hitting "something hard, covered by something soft," such as a carpeted floor, according to a report released Tuesday that provides more details of the TV's star's death.
In the incident report released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, a detective notes that Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said the fractures "would have stunned Mr. Saget," and that he would have experienced dizziness.
Had he been with people at the time, they would have noticed "confusion, balance, and/or slurred speech," the report states. It does not pinpoint a location for Saget's fall, but Stephany told the detective it would have been impossible with that type of injury for Saget to make a two-hour drive from the Jacksonville area to Orlando as he did the night before his body was discovered.

The Man Who Met McCartney: Dan Ealey Tells his UNBELIEVABLE True Story
HOW HE MET A LEGEND
In 1974, a bold Beatles fan talked his way into meeting Paul McCartney on a Tennessee farm. He ended up spending several weeks hanging out with the former Beatle's band and occasionally meeting McCartney as they rehearsed new music.
Tonight, Dan Ealey will get to see McCartney once again, this time as a guest of the band when the former Beatle plays Thompson-Boling Arena.
To Ealey, McCartney is like Beethoven. In music, both have the same stature, he said.
"When I met Paul (in 1974) I said to my friends, Who can you meet in your life that will be remembered a thousand years from now?" Ealey told WBIR on Tuesday.
"I'm certain that Paul will be one of them."

THE 27 CLUB: DYING TO GET IN
THE 27 CLUB has become one of the most elusive and remarkably tragic coincidences in rock & roll history. The term became widely known after Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994, with rock fans connecting his age to that of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Jimi Hendrix – though it was notable to fans in the early 1970s when those four visionaries died within just two years of each other. When Amy Winehouse passed away at age 27 in 2011, it attracted even more attention to the significance of the age. While the club has been largely connected to musicians, it has expanded since, as many young actors and artists have lost their lives due to everything from addiction to suicide to freak accidents.
Here are some of the unfortunate and untimely losses connected to the club.

ADULT BULLYING: A GROWING CONCERN
BULLY PREVENTION
When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time.
Parents, neighbors, and other adults in the community can help kids and adults alike prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe social environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.
How to Deal With Adult Bullying
What Constitutes an Adult Bully?
Just like children and teenagers can be bullies, so can adults. What defines an adult bully is if they regularly make you feel oppressed, belittled, humiliated, or de-energized.
The cruel actions that often lead to those feelings include personal insults, ridiculing jokes, threats, public shaming, invasion of your personal space, or unwanted personal contact.
What's the Difference Between Harassment and Bullying?
Bullying and harassment are often used interchangeably when talking about hurtful or destructive behavior. They are very comparable, but in terms of definition, there's a significant difference.
Bullying and harassment are similar as they're both about:
Power and control
Acts that intentionally hurt or harm another person
A disproportion of power between the victim and the bully
The target having trouble stopping the action directed towards them
The difference between bullying and harassment is that when the bullying behavior is directed at a target who belongs to a protected class, it's defined as harassment. Protected classes include:
Race
Color
Religion
Sex
Age
Disability
National origin
There are numerous different types of adult bullies,1 some of which include:
Tangible/material bully:
These types of bullies like to use their formal power, like being your boss or manager. Or, they have some sort of authority or control over your finances, which they use to intimidate you and others.
Verbal bully:
A verbal bully likes to shame and insult you with their words. Often, they throw constant criticism or use cruel teasing. Unfortunately, sometimes the language used by these types of bullies is sexist, racist, homophobic, or threatening.
Passive-aggressive bully:
You may not consider someone who is passive-aggressive to be a bully, But, this type of bully is the most cunning in some ways. They act amicable on the outside but take unexpected swings at you. Things like gossip, sarcasm, and hurtful jokes are a few ways this type of bully behaves. They may roll their eyes, make rude facial expressions and ridicule their victims by mimicking. They may also isolate their targets, causing you to feel anxious and insecure.
Cyberbully:
A significant problem today is cyberbullying, especially for younger and more vulnerable adults. Regardless, anyone can be a victim of harassing emails, text messages, and social media.
Physical bully:
Physical bullies can range from simulating violence by raising their fists as if they were about to strike, to throwing and breaking objects, to violent acts of physical, domestic, and sexual abuse.
What to Do If You're a Bystander
There are several things that bystanders to bullying can do:
Question the behavior of the bully to shift the focus of the interaction.
Utilize humor to redirect the conversation.
Remember, there is strength in numbers. Bystanders can intervene as a group to demonstrate their disagreement with bullying.
Walk with the person who is the victim of bullying to help diffuse potential interactions.
Check-in privately with the bullied person to let them know you disagree with it and that you care.
What to Do If You're a Victim
If you’re the victim of an adult bully, there are a few things you can do to protect yourself:
Pick and choose your battles.
Choosing how to react depends on the number and severity of the bullying behaviors. If the behavior is not excessive or harmful and you only see the bully once in a while (such as at work or the annoying relative during family gatherings), you may want to keep your distance. Because of the amount of time it can take to handle bullying behavior in many cases, consider picking your battles if it isn't directly harmful to you.
Make eye contact.
Eye contact can be significant, as bullies have less empathy when they can't see your face or your eyes.
Escape if you can.
Ask if you can move your desk far away from the bully or limit your interactions with them whenever possible. If that fails, try again. Can you switch to another position in the organization?
Document the offenses.
Document every single offense and try to keep the records for as long as possible. You may need them if you want to file a complaint at work or, in some cases, a police report if the bully's actions become emotionally or physically damaging.
What to Do If You're a Perpetrator
Consider seeking emotional support or therapy. In many cases with bullies, you may have had a traumatic childhood and might have regularly endured domestic violence, physical abuse, or other forms of abuse.
Mental Health Effects of Bullying
For bystanders, bullying can have harmful effects as well. Even if you're not on the receiving end, witnessing someone being bullied for long periods can have an emotional impact. Research has found that even witnessing workplace bullying is associated with an increased risk of developing depressive symptoms over the subsequent 18 months.2
For victims, you may have trouble sleeping, feel paranoid, experience increased anxiety, and constantly feel on edge.
A Word From Verywell
If you're dealing with a bully, you know that it can take a toll in various ways. If you have any physical symptoms, like sleep issues or pain conditions triggered by the stress of bullying, you may want to contact your primary care doctor.
To help you cope with the fallout of bullying, you may want to consider working with a mental health professional. They can help you cope with symptoms of depression and anxiety, help you strengthen your self-confidence, and help you learn how to handle bullies emotionally.
Regardless, the most important thing is to utilize your support network. If you're being bullied, find support, whether it's from co-workers, friends, or family. Sometimes the best way to buffer the impact a bully has on you is to try and get by with some help from other people in your life.

The Return of Ringling Bros Circus
THE RETURN OF RINGLING BROTHERS BARNUN & BAILEY CIRCUS
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which shut down in 2017 after a storied 146-year run of three-ring entertainment around the world, could be making a comeback.
Officials from Florida-based Feld Entertainment, which owns the circus operation, said during a recent panel discussion that a new version of the circus without animals is expected to make its debut in 2023.
Many observers believe that animal rights protests targeting Ringling Bros. contributed to a decline in ticket sales that led the company to cease operations. It grew famous on the strength of animal trainers like Gunther Gebel-Williams, among others, working with lions and tigers. The company dropped elephants from its shows in 2016 and said at the time that ticket sales declined more than expected.
For years, PETA representatives and other groups claimed the circus mistreated the elephants, tigers, lions and other animals featured in its shows.
While Ringling Bros. struggled before it shut down, the Canadian company Cirque du Soleil exploded with dozens of shows around the world, all without animals.
CLOSING ACT
The "Greatest Show on Earth" is getting its curtain call. Feld Entertainment, owner of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus said in a statement that the show will end is 146-year run in May.
The iconic circus declined in recent years due to high operating costs and long, costly legal battles with animal rights groups, such as the one to eliminate elephant acts. Ticket sales had already fallen, but they dropped more significantly than anticipated after the elephants were retired last May, according to the statement.
The company's two circus shows, Out of This World and Circus Xtreme, have 30 shows left, including appearances in Atlanta, Brooklyn and Boston. The final shows are May 7 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, R.I., and May 21 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.
"This was a difficult business decision to make, but by ending the circus tours, we will be able to concentrate on the other lines of business within the Feld Entertainment portfolio," said Juliette Feld, chief operating officer. "Now that we have made this decision, as a company, and as a family, we will strive to support our circus performers and crew in making the transition to new opportunities."
The company broke the news to circus employees Saturday night after shows in Orlando and Miami, The Associated Press reported.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, a major critic of the circus for its treatment of animals, celebrated the announcement.

The Troubling Future of Deep Fakes
THE LINES ARE BLURRED LIKE NEVER BEFORE
Deepfakes (a portmanteau of "deep learning" and "fake"[1]) are synthetic media[2] in which a person in an existing image or video is replaced with someone else's likeness. While the act of creating fake content is not new, deepfakes leverage powerful techniques from machine learning and artificial intelligence to manipulate or generate visual and audio content that can more easily deceive.[3][4] The main machine learning methods used to create deepfakes are based on deep learning and involve training generative neural network architectures, such as autoencoders,[3] or generative adversarial networks (GANs).[5][6]
Deepfakes have garnered widespread attention for their potential use in creating child sexual abuse material, celebrity pornographic videos, revenge porn, fake news, hoaxes, bullying, and financial fraud.[7][8][9][10] This has elicited responses from both industry and government to detect and limit their use.[11][12]
From traditional entertainment to gaming, deepfake technology has evolved to be increasingly convincing and available to the public, allowing the disruption of the entertainment and media industries.[13]
History
Photo manipulation was developed in the 19th century and soon applied to motion pictures. Technology steadily improved during the 20th century, and more quickly with the advent of digital video.
Deepfake technology has been developed by researchers at academic institutions beginning in the 1990s, and later by amateurs in online communities.[14][15] More recently the methods have been adopted by industry.[16]

Transgender: A Definition
A transgender person is someone whose gender identity or gender expression does not correspond with their sex assigned at birth. Many transgender people experience gender dysphoria, which they seek to alleviate through transitioning, often adopting a different name and set of pronouns in the process.
Trans, Black, Indigenous Wrestler Nyla Rose Relishes Being an Inspiration for Others
The first (and, thus far, only) out trans wrestler in a major American promotion, Rose is establishing herself as one of All Elite Wrestling’s top wrestlers.
Wrestling’s core structure is good versus evil. That story arc was on display when Rose lost to Ruby Soho, a crowd favorite, on the Dec. 22 edition of AEW Dynamite. Rose did her job masterfully well, forcing the underdog Soho to reach new heights in her quest to slay a bigger, more physical opponent.

The Transgender Dilemma
With few exceptions, a solution to any problem will bring new difficulties. These may or may not be worse than the original problem, and one must decide, not between problem and answer, but between degrees of difficulty. Is the new situation really going to be better than the last? This is undoubtedly the situation with the transsexual. It is undeniable that in the majority of cases the treated transsexual is an infinitely happier person than the one who has not undergone therapy, but as a result of this treatment there arises a host of new difficulties. Using personal experience, it is my intention to illustrate the problems which beset the transsexual before, during and after treatment. It will then be possible to ascertain whether or not, in spite of these difficulties, there is in fact a dilemma. Is there indeed any choice?

The Beatles are an iconic band that’s influenced society in many ways, both directly and indirectly. Their songs, albums, and covers have inspired people to discover their creativity in art. They also influenced society by simply being themselves. The Beatles brought a new trend and helped bridge the cultural gap between young people and adults by making music that appealed to both age groups.
How Did the Beatles Influence Society?
The Beatles are one of the most influential bands in history.
They had an impact on many aspects of society, including fashion, culture, and music. Many people around the world still listen to the Beatles’ songs today. The Beatles also influenced filmmaking, as many directors, cinematographers, and other crew members followed the Beatles on their tours.
It’s very hard to talk about the Beatles without mentioning their influence on society.
They were the first band to make music videos, which helped them gain popularity. They were the first band to produce a song that stayed on the charts for a long time. They were the first band to use many different styles of music, from rock to pop to classical music and jazz.
The Beatles’ Influence on America
The Beatles came to America in 1964 and the United States was never the same.
The four young musicians from England conquered a country that already had its own American rock music icons like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bob Dylan, etc., and brought their songwriting skills and the stunning sound of four guitarists playing together to create some of the most legendary hits ever recorded.
In the Beatles’ early days in America, their songs were introduced to the public as a band called The Quarrymen. In November 1964, The Beatles played a concert at the Philadelphia Civic Center. It was the first time the Beatles performed in the United States and they had a great impact on American culture and music.
The Beatles’ first number one hit was I Want to Hold Your Hand, which entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart on January 18, 1964.
How the Beatles Changed the World
The Beatles, considered by many to be the greatest band in history, had an immense impact on society.
The band’s music is still influential today.
The Beatles helped introduce the world to the British Invasion, which revolutionized rock ‘n’ roll. They were also responsible for coining the term “Fab Four” to describe their collective personality.
The Beatles had a great influence in the 1960s to 1970s.
In their time, the Beatles had a significant impact on many of society’s most widely held beliefs. In the 1960s, the Beatles were a source of encouragement for those who felt marginalized by society, and their mixed messages about peace and war led some listeners to desire harmony.

PEDOPHILIA: THE DARK SIDE OF HOLLYWOOD
HOLLYWOOD PEDOPHILES
While fame and fortune are an ever-enticing dream, few things seem less appealing than being a child star, and HBO’s Showbiz Kids (premiering July 14) certainly reinforces that feeling. Awash in anecdotes about the ways in which the industry—and the attendant hunger for the spotlight that consumes both children and parents—warps, alienates and exploits kids, it’s a documentary which illustrates that, sometimes, being nobody is far healthier, and more fulfilling, than being well-known.
Sexual misconduct is the dark cloud hovering over Showbiz Kids, and it comes to the fore when former Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges recalls being molested as a child—a disclosure that, according to Evan Rachel Wood, isn’t unique, as she claims, “In my experience, I know a lot of kids that grew up in the industry. And what surprised me when I got older was finding out that pretty much all of the young men were abused in some way, sexually.” She then relays that, at a recent Golden Globes gala, she watched a pedophile (whom she doesn’t name) win an award, and had to walk out because she was so disgusted by the praise being lavished upon this monster. As she departed, she thought to herself, “I don’t know if I can do this anymore. I can’t keep watching this happen. I don’t know how to handle this. This has to stop.”

AMERICA’S STONEHENGE: THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES
THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES: END OF AN ERA
The Guidestones’ mysterious origins go back to the summer of 1979, when a man calling himself R. C. Christian came to Elberton in search of both a granite firm to execute his design for a monument and a suitable site for the construction of it. The man admitted that “Christian” was a pseudonym, chosen because it represented his own beliefs and those of the organization that planned and funded the project. To this day, Christian’s real name and the true identity of his organization are unknown. Christian claimed that he chose Elbert County because of its abundant supply of granite, the rural nature of its landscape, and its relatively mild climate, and because some of his ancestors had once lived in the region.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Joe H. Fendley Sr., president of the Elberton Granite Finishing Company, was initially shocked when Christian first explained his plan to build a gigantic granite monument inscribed with wisdom for the ages—suggestions or directions that would lead humanity into an “age of reason.” Christian also informed Wyatt C. Martin, president of Granite City Bank, of his hope that other conservation-minded groups in the country would later erect even more stones to form an outer ring around the central structure. He told Martin that he wanted the monument to be erected in a rural area, away from crowds and tourists.
Meanwhile, Fendley put his laborers to work on the structure, which consisted of four massive blue granite slabs, one center stone (known as the Gnomen stone), and a capstone. When finally completed, the monolithic structure weighed 119 tons and contained 951 cubic feet of granite. The structure also supported more than 4,000 sandblasted characters and letters, each averaging about four inches in height. Christian and Martin selected a five-acre plot in the middle of a cow pasture, approximately seven miles north of Elberton and eight miles south of Hartwell, with a commanding view to the east and the west, on which to build the monument. The area chosen was in close proximity to what the Cherokee Indians called “Al-yeh-li A lo-Hee,”—the center of the world. The land on which the Guidestones stood is owned by Elbert County.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The inscriptions on the Guidestones were meant for current and future generations. Sandblasted along the square capstone sitting atop the structure was the basic message: “Let these be guidestones to an age of reason,” in Babylonian cuneiform, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Sanskrit, and classical Greek. The four granite slabs, each weighing 42,137 pounds and standing more than sixteen feet in height, listed ten “guides” for mankind in eight different languages. The languages represented on the four major stones were Arabic, Chinese, English, Hebrew, Hindi, Russian, Spanish, and Swahili. The engraved messages dealt with four major areas: governance and the establishment of a world government, population and reproduction control, the environment and humankind’s relationship to nature, and spirituality.

While some of the “guides” were self-explanatory, others were open to discussion and interpretation. The rich variety of interpretations evoked by the Guidestones caused much controversy and debate to swirl around the hidden or intended meanings of the messages. The monument had been vandalized several times before its destruction and was the subject of various conspiracy theories, particularly those concerned with its prescriptions for population control and internationalism. According to the Guidestones, the following ten principles could ensure humankind’s future survival:
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule Passion — Faith — Tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
Astronomical phenomena were also associated with the Guidestones. The four large upright granite slabs that composed the face of the structure were oriented to the limits of the moon’s migration during the course of the year. An eye-level, oblique hole drilled in the Gnomen stone looked upward toward the celestial heavens and oriented on Polaris, the North Star. In the middle of the Gnomen stone was a large slot with a hole cut through the granite, orienting the monument with summer and winter solstices. The Guidestones also acted as an enormous sundial. Drilled through the capstone was a seven-eighths-inch hole, which allowed sunlight to shine on the southern face of the Gnomen stone at noon.
The controversy surrounding the Guidestones came to a head in 2022. In May, Republican candidate for governor Kandiss Taylor deemed the site “satanic” and vowed to destroy it via executive order if elected. Subsequent attention on social media renewed interest in the Guidestones among evangelical Christians and fringe conspiracy theorists. In the early morning hours of July 6, 2022, an explosion destroyed part of the monument. Local and state police discovered evidence of a bomb at the scene and released camera footage of the detonation. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation demolished the Guidestones later that day, citing concerns for public safety. Their investigation remains ongoing.
The Elberton Granite Museum, in Elberton, offers an impressive display model of the Guidestones as well as a short film detailing its construction. The museum also provides free informational brochures about the Guidestones and their creation.

Body Shaming: What Is It?
BODY SHAMING: WHAT IS IT?
bod·y sham·ing
the action or practice of mocking or stigmatizing someone by making critical comments about the shape, size, or appearance of their body.
"she is not the only celebrity to speak up about body shaming"
adjective
expressing mockery or criticism about the shape, size, or appearance of a person's body.
"the singer has been dealing not only with heartache but with nasty body-shaming comments"
What is the actual meaning of body shaming?
: the act or practice of subjecting someone to criticism or mockery for supposed bodily faults or imperfections.
What is body shaming?
Body shaming involves humiliating someone by making inappropriate or negative comments about their body size or shape. As well as “fat shaming,” you may also hear negative comments if you’re underweight or in reference to a specific body part.
This type of criticism can be made to others or yourself. You may feel unhappy with your weight or how your body looks and judge yourself harshly. You may even engage in negative self-talk, such as “I feel so fat today” or “I need to stop stuffing my face with food.”
The act of body shaming can be carried out in person or remotely via the internet and social media and can be done by your parents, siblings, friends, or people you’re not even close to.
Even in a joking manner, remarks about what you eat or how much food you consume constitutes body shaming. Giving someone advice about dieting or praising weight loss is also considered body shaming, whether intentional or not. Often, your friends and family members don’t want to hurt your feelings, but their comments can still be of a critical nature. They may not realize the negative effect that questions like “Have you lost weight?” or “Do you really need to eat all of that?” can have.
While nobody is immune to societal pressures to look a certain way, comments about your body are unnecessary in any context. Whether the body shaming is being done by yourself or others, there are ways to overcome the problem, build body positivity, and learn to look at yourself in a more compassionate and realistic way.
Social media and body shaming
Social media often emphasizes physical appearance and makes it easy to post hurtful comments about others. The overall message is often that you should strive for the perfect body and find ways to hide your flaws. This can have a huge influence on your body image.
Body shaming on digital platforms is related to cyberbullying, but there are ways to fight back against those who body shame online, overcome the pain and anguish they cause, and reclaim your sense of self-worth.
See Cyberbullying: Dealing with Online Bullies.
Causes of body shaming
Our “selfie” culture emphasizes outward beauty and we’re constantly bombarded with images of glamourous celebrities in magazines, advertisements, TV shows, and other types of media.
What you see every day on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram can understandably make you feel envious of others or focus your thinking on your physical appearance and any perceived flaws. You may struggle to live up to these standards and experience negative feelings and judgements about yourself. This can become destructive when it diminishes your self-worth and body image.
A fixation with how you look can create unrealistic expectations that are impossible to achieve. Even when you know that these idealized images are digitally altered or enhanced, it’s easy to fall into the trap of unfavorably comparing yourself—or others.

The New World Order
The New World Order: NO LONGER IN HIDING
The New World Order (NWO) is a conspiracy theory in which adherents believe that a cabal of powerful elites is secretly implementing a dystopian international governing structure that will grant them complete control over the global populace. Under this regime, dissidents will be arrested, and the masses enslaved. Supporters of the conspiracy theory claim that most global leaders are complicit in the establishment of this “New World Order,” aiding the NWO through the manufacturing of global events (such as the coronavirus pandemic and mass shootings) and controlling their associated narratives to sow civil unrest.
The NWO conspiracy theory can be found in the online chatter of fringe conspiracy theorists. While the associated rhetoric within these online groups can appear innocuous at first, this conspiracy theory presents a real-world danger, as it promotes a fatalistic worldview for adherents, possibly inciting them to commit violence against communities, infrastructure, and individuals deemed complicit in the NWO’s implementation. This cabal narrative is commonly associated with other anti-Semitic conspiracy theories that claim Jewish culpability, alleging that they are behind the orchestration of the NWO, leading to an increased danger towards Jewish communities.

Denver International Airport: What’s Going On Here?
WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING BENEATH
DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT?
Since the construction of Denver International Airport (airport code=Denver, nickname=DIA) was finished in 1995, the newest airport in the United States since the 1970s, there have been innumerable conspiracy theories surrounding it. Many of these theories are somewhat supported in a loose fashion by various aspects of the airport from the art that is there to the sheer number of unused buildings and airplane hangars.
Below, I’ll talk about some of the things that people have theorized about since the airport’s inception and whether these thoughts might have the backing or not. To start, you need to know a little bit about its background and the building of the airport itself.
These facts lead many conspiracy theorists to surmise that there are things going on at Denver International Airport that people do not want others to know about. Because of the design changes as well as the contract disputes leading to many different workers on the job under different contractors, it is thought that nobody really knows the true scope of the project because its architects wanted it that way.
Denver International Airport Construction Workers
Building D.I.A. Photo: courtesy of Denver International Airport
There are known to be as many as 6 underground levels below the ground floor of DIA and possibly more that are not even known about. Beyond that, there are theories that tunnels exist all the way from the Colorado Springs Air Force Base to DIA and from the Air Force Base to the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in the Rocky Mountains outside of Colorado Springs.
The difference in budget certainly leaves room for raised eyebrows as well. Why would it cost so much more money to complete the project than originally estimated? Are there other things that were added later to the project that made it so expensive? The theories can be endless, and they are. Yet, these are legitimate questions that need to be asked; why did the final project cost so much more?
The Artwork
For all public projects in the City of Denver, 1 percent of the budget for each project has to be allocated towards public art to be put on display there. Because of this, there is a lot of great artwork in DIA. But, some of that art plays right into the hands of conspiracy theorists.
Field of Air by Ned Kahn Denver International Airport Conspiracy Theories
Field of Air by Ned Kahn at D.I.A. Photo: courtesy of Denver International Airport
For instance, besides Blucifer, the demon eyes horse sculpture that killed artist Luis Jimenez during construction, there are 2 other massive murals by Leo Tanguma, which have been theorized to foretell the actual purpose of the airport through messages hidden within the work. You can read a more in-depth article on these murals here.
Just taking an initial look at the Tanguma works titled Children of the World Dream of Peace, and In Peace and Harmony with Nature, they show the darker sides of what DIA has been theorized to be. Themes of death, genocide, and an apocalyptic single government world, are seen clearly in the murals despite the uplifting meanings that Tanguma says are the true message.
The Dedication Capstone
In the Great Hall of DIA, there is a plaque that is a dedication to the airport. On it you might think that the main contributors to the airport might have been the City of Denver or the State of Colorado, however the first name listed on the stone as a contributor is an organization called The New World Airport Commission.
D.I.A. Dedication Capstone Braille
D.I.A. Capstone in braille. Photo: K W Reinsch
This might not seem odd to the casual observer but with a little research, you will find that no organization exists or has existed. The capstone of the airport names an organization that sounds eerily like The New World Order, a supposedly secret society that has far-reaching control from behind the scenes. People often think that DIA was built by them to weather out an apocalypse or extinction event of some kind.
Underneath this capstone, there is also a time capsule said to be opened in 2094. Nobody knows what is in the time capsule but there are theories abound pertaining to the secrets or clues that might be locked within underneath this curious dedication to stone of the airport.
The Tunnels and Underground Buildings
There have long been outspoken people who claim to have gone down many levels under DIA and to have seen the tunnels firsthand. In this article in Westword Magazine, the author talks with Alex Christopher, an older woman who is at the heart of this conspiracy.
Just after the airport was built, she met some people at a conference in Denver who took her down there, and later she returned with her friend Phil Schneider. After that, Schneider turned up dead of an apparent suicide. Obviously, fellow theorists are skeptical about that and consider it more of an assassination. Christopher went silent after that but has recently been working on a new film.
Also, while the airport was being built, there were 5 buildings that were built below, but for some reason needed to be abandoned. Instead of destroying them, another infrastructure was built on top leading many to wonder just what might be going on in those buildings underneath the ground level.
Airport Layout and Other Buildings
As with many of the aspects of DIA that play into the hands of conspiracy theorists, the buildings and layout of the airport do as well. Not only is DIA the second largest airport in the world regarding land mass, but there are an untold number of extra buildings and hangars on the property that seem unneeded for a typical airport. What are those buildings for and why did DIA need so much land to sit on?
Beyond that, looking at a bird’s eye view of DIA, all the runways and terminals together can be construed in the shape of a swastika. There can be interpreted Nazi themes in artwork previously mentioned so the layout of the airport seems very curious with both on its grounds.
Furthermore, all the fences at DIA also have barbed wire curiously facing inward. Some theories around DIA suspect that it will be used as a prison or concentration camp in the future, so this wire is thought to be there to keep people in, not out.
Other Thoughts on What Happens at DIA
There have been many other theories about DIA. Some think it is the host of ‘Area 52’, aptly named after the real United States Government ‘secret’ base, Area 51. While theories about Area 51 are ubiquitous about aliens, downed UFOs, and extraterrestrial life being held there, many people believe that DIA also may have unknown government secrets stored deep underneath it as well.
More reasonably, people surmise that DIA will be the United States Militaries’ headquarters if a war breaks out on its home soil or for other similar reasons. There is enough room for airplanes to be stored, barracks underneath, and infrastructure above for operations as needed.
DIA is also under new renovations slated to be completed in 2021 with much of the current airport being worked on behind new barriers that help jokingly question what is really happening there. You never know what new conspiracy theories will pop up now that DIA is under construction again. The theories of old will always grasp at straws but with new construction comes new thoughts on what the New World Order or others might be up to with Denver International Airport.
We highly encourage anyone going to DIA to check out the plaques, murals, and other oddities throughout the airport which have been written about by countless different theorists. Not only are they interesting to see and experience firsthand, but they also might leave visitors with a lot more questions than answers.

Deals with the Devil: The Devils Music
The Devils Music
According to conspiracy theories, the Rain Man is a powerful demon who makes deals with those who aspire to make it big in the industry. With the noun "rain", it is defined as water falling as rain, rainwater, and anything watery. According to the theories, rain can also be defined as one who receives abundant blessings from above. This is actually a unisexual title that can be used for both genders. The word "umbrella" is also synonymous with the Rain Man. The word umbrella is derived from a Latin word meaning "shadow" or under the influence of "Umbra". It can also be used in reference to a paranormal entity such as a ghost. Many cite the usage of the word in H. P. Lovecraft's book Necronomicon in which an umbra is one of the globes of Yog-Sothoth. In the Necronomicon, it states that Yog-Sothoth could bestow great riches on whoever bestows onto him a woman.

Aaron Carter: Death of a Pop Star
AARON CARTER: DEATH OF A POP STAR
The death certificate for Aaron Carter has revealed that the late singer’s body was cremated just days after he died.
Andy Symonds, the co-author of Carter’s controversial unfinished memoir — the publication of which has since been put on hold — wrote in the book that Carter had told him he struggled with taking Xanax and huffing canned air like Dust Off. According to Symonds, he wasn’t doing either in 2019 as they worked on the book about the highs and lows of his life.
Aaron Carter's memoir release date has been pushed back amid controversy from his friends and family.
Aaron Carter’s memoir delayed ‘out of respect’ for his family
The “I Want Candy” singer became famous at a very young age as he sought to stand out in his talented family, which includes his older brother Nick, a member of the Backstreet Boys.
Carter opened for the Backstreet Boys in Germany at the age of 8. His “Aaron’s Party” album was certified Triple Platinum when he was 12.
He allegedly got into drugs at an early age as well. In his book, originally planned for publication on Tuesday, Nov. 15, he revealed he started smoking weed when he was around 11. He claimed he spent $30,000 on ecstasy one summer when he was 15.
Carter said he dabbled in heroin, but quit it after getting sick. He also got into Xanax and said he took some from another patient while at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Desert — a trip he claimed Nick paid for because he was taking “more Xanax at that point than ever before.”
It’s unclear what Carter’s relationship with drugs was when he died. Symonds said he last spoke with Carter in April 2021. Symonds said they met three times in person in 2019 and 2020 for the project.
In the book, Carter describes some eerie bathtub moments.
He recalled falling asleep in a tub as a young child star in need of a break.
“I remember locking myself in the bathroom of one of our hotel rooms and falling asleep in the bathtub because I needed more sleep,” he wrote. “My mom broke down the door, afraid I was drowning in there.”
He said shortly after his 18th birthday, he booked a trip to Amsterdam, where he overdid it with mushrooms.
“I was all alone tripping, talking to the bathtub, watching the curtains, and having all these emotional highs and lows, seeing everything from rainbows to lightning,” he wrote. “I always overdid everything.”
In the memoir, Carter claimed he was always suicidal, but never planned to actually do it.
“I was always suicidal, especially through those years. I never attempted suicide, but never had anyone to talk to about it,” he wrote. “But I knew I loved life too much to actually do it.”
Since his death, those close to him have offered tributes. He leaves behind a son, Prince, who turns a year old on Nov. 22. Prince’s mom is Carter’s on-again, off-again fiancée, Melanie Martin.

In September 2019, Nick Carter filed a restraining order against Aaron after he made a series of disturbing comments about his older brother’s wife and child.
Nick said in a statement, "In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confessions that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.”
However, Aaron denied his brother’s claims and said he hadn’t spoken to him in years.

MJ Coke
Aaron Carter's rep claims the singer NEVER told an entertainment reporter Michael Jackson gave him cocaine and alcohol when he was 15 years old ... and says the reporter COMPLETELY FABRICATED the story.
The controversy stems from an article that ran in OK! Magazine in Australia, written by international journalist Daphne Barak. In the article, Carter was quoted as saying, "Yes, [MJ] gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15. As for drugs? He gave me cocaine."
But Carter's rep tells TMZ, "Nothing was said that was reported" ... and directed us toward a YouTube video of the interview with Barak ... which seems to back up Aaron's side of the story.
UPDATE: A rep for Barak tells TMZ, "Aaron Carter told Daphne Barak in his lengthy interview in Spain, that Michael Jackson gave him alcohol and cocaine while he was 15. He also said that Michael invited him to sleep in his room, and when Aaron woke up at 5:00 AM, he found Michael on his bed."
