Seerut Chawla — The truth about cancel culture and online mobs.
Should social media have warning ads like cigarette packs?
We all know the bright side of social networks where we share memes, tell stories, upload photos, memories, and help us grow professionally, but not everything is sunshine and rainbows. Social media have become an unstoppable monster where criticism, abuse, and the discharge of hate have increased more and more, hiding in anonymity on many occasions.
In this episode, I had a conversation with Seerut Chawla. She defends the importance of talking with responsibilities on social networks and using it to deliver messages of conscience intelligently. After living the culture of cancellation on both sides, today, she tries to warn others of its consequences. We will talk about how the use of social media affects us individually and collectively, the main character syndrome, responsibility, and trauma. In addition, we will discuss the differences between trauma, wounding, and pain.

ABOUT SEERUT CHAWLA
She works using an integrative model (which means incorporating different therapeutic styles) depending on the client and the circumstances.
Her main modality is psychodynamic psychotherapy which is derivative of the psychoanalytic tradition. That can sound a little intimidating, but the basic premise of this work is helping people to understand what has happened so that they can better understand what is happening in the here and now, and then make meaningful change in their lives.
