Redefining Entrepreneurial Grit with Ron Nussbaum

Redefining Entrepreneurial Grit with Ron Nussbaum

Today on the show I have Ron Nussbaum. Ron is the founder of BuilderComs which is a communication platform that is set to disrupt one of the biggest industries in the United States - the construction industry. We will talk about in this episode some of the biggest problems with communication. Sometimes up to a third of the money and time invested in a construction project can be wasted due to poor communication.  This is a massive problem and a massive opportunity and we are going to talk about Ron’s personal philosophy that has led him to this moment, how he sees himself in this big opportunity, and what purpose he serves moving forward. This is a great episode to explore what high-level leadership looks like and what is necessary to make big changes in the world.  In This Episode: It is not just the long-term vision. It is also the short term and what can happen. You just got to make it happen 90 days at a time.  You always have to be willing to change your perspective. Every time we summit something there is typically another mountain.  Too many people have that one defining moment and they rest their heads on that for the rest of their lives. If you are capable of one defining moment you are capable of a thousand. We need to continue to chase those and not just be fine with that one defining moment.  And so much more! The Secret Drunk Driving of Entrepreneurs with Jeff Schiefelbein

The Secret Drunk Driving of Entrepreneurs with Jeff Schiefelbein

Today on the show I have Jeff Schiefelbein. Jeff is a successful serial entrepreneur who has been running many different businesses and ventures for twenty years. Today we are going to dive into his story of how an unexpected dark moment became one of the most important in his life. This was when he was pulled over for a DUI.  We are going to talk about that turning point in his life and we are going to talk about a lot of the ways that many entrepreneurs and visionaries are drunk driving in their businesses right now, not necessarily literally drunk driving but are going through the same process that is equally as dangerous at the helm of their businesses. There is a ton of great information that Jeff is going to share whether you are just starting out as an entrepreneur or have been at this for many years.  In This Episode: People have become victims of their surroundings.   People are all driven by the same fundamentals of human nature and when they feel respected, seen, and heard you get a lot of really great things done together. Recognize the blessing of life. Every single part of my life is a blessing and yours and you can completely change and see the world in a brighter light, more abundance, and less fear because you get to, you don’t have to. 3 Silent Sales Killers and 3 Storytelling Solutions

3 Silent Sales Killers and 3 Storytelling Solutions

Today on the show we are going to be talking about three silent sales killers that are holding you back from scaling your business from the low six figures to the high six or seven figures and really getting the results that you want from your team, experiencing the freedom that you sought out when you created your business and when you stepped into the role as the visionary.   These sales killers are some of the biggest problems I solve with my clients but the problem is that a lot of people that I work with aren’t aware of these problems until they start working with me which is exactly why I am creating this episode. I want to shed light on these sales killers and give you simple storytelling solutions so that you can fix them or maybe even stop them before they start in your business.  In This Episode: Teaching to Sell is a style of teaching that is meant to overcome objections and change beliefs. There is a big difference between what feels good to teach and what the audience needs to move forward with you. When everybody is aligned under this same vision it allows you to finally create the space and support to be in your zone of genius as a leader. And so much more!!!

So we are going to talk about Daniel’s process for using complex trusts to minimize things like taxes and maximize freedom in your business.  In This Episode: Communication is everything. If we can’t clearly communicate what we do to the people that may be ideal clients for us then we will never have a sale. Clear communication is good in every single relationship we have.  If you want to make more money you have to work on your mindset around money and beliefs. You create your reality.  In a complex trust when I don’t create and I am appointed as a trustee, it becomes a separate entity of its own. It is totally unaffiliated with myself, my business, and my assets.  And so much more!!!

The Art of Customer Driven Leadership with Daniel Hammond

The Art of Customer Driven Leadership with Daniel Hammond

Today on the show we have Daniel Hammond. Daniel has an incredible constellation of experiences, backgrounds, and interesting stories to tell. We are blessed with the opportunity to explore quite a few of those around the world and in very unexpected places and professions.  The main thing that we are going to be talking about today is operating systems for your business. How does your business operate as a whole? This is a really important system and culture and thing to install as you start to grow beyond being able to influence everybody directly and manage everybody directly in a small business.  We are going to be talking about the counterintuitive nature that is customer-driven leadership as opposed to leader driven. The difference is in how you approach and solve problems in your business.  In This Episode: Customer-driven leadership is an operating system. It creates checks and balances on a team level.  It starts with a big vision. A big lie of entrepreneurship is that as the leader of the organization, it is our job to solve all the problems. At the team level, it is really increasing the understanding of how the different teams all serve to deliver for the end customers.  And so much more!!!   Connect with Daniel Hammond: Daniel’s Website Daniel on LinkedIn

Awakening the Rebel with Dr. Gigi Abel Samed

Today on the podcast we have Dr. Gigi Abel Samed. We have an incredible array of stories, insights, and wisdom to explore with her today. Starting with a story that she derived a deep meaning from a young age that has really shaped her life and her purpose and we get to see how that plays out in many different forms.  She spent a long time working in the health system and had many different personal struggles through that and is now on the verge of serving a brand new audience that she defines as the rebels and changemakers that we were ultimately here about at the end of this episode.  In This Episode: Leave every life better for having been in it.  Rebels don’t fight the old paradigm, they create a new one that makes the old one obsolete.  Play, have fun, and allow yourself to be childlike.  And so much more!!! The Secret to Making It Happen with Mike Malatesta

The Secret to Making It Happen with Mike Malatesta

Today on the show we have Mike Malatesta. Mike is a high performance coach helping people unlock inspiration and creativity and has a podcast called How’d It Happen where he breaks down the magical turning points in many different entrepreneurs' and creators' lives. Mike is an excellent thought leader and has a lot of experience working with similar people to what I have done.  When I set out to have this interview. I wanted to talk to him about the many different things he uncovered in the How’d It Happen Podcast, and the things that he learned over the many different interviews. The actual interview took a very different turn and we both shared different perspectives on things like creating pattern breaks to open up new possibilities, connecting with the inner child and using that as a powerful source of energy in your business and your creativity, and many other topics that I feel are very high impact, especially for those whose who are really at the top of their game. This is a really fun-filled, unexpected, and magical episode that I am excited to share with you.  In This Episode: People are afraid to really think about and ask for what they actually want.  To be able to take a step towards what you want every day requires you to know what you want to take a step towards every day.  If you just approach things with curiosity and nothing else then it seems like it is easier because the only way you can be disappointed is if you want something out of something.  And so much more!!!   Connect with Mike Malatesta: Mike’s Website How’d It Happen Podcast Mike on LinkedIn

5 Steps to Sell a $100,000 Offer

5 Steps to Sell a $100,000 Offer

Today we are going to be asking an important question. What is the difference between a $1,000 offer, a $10,000 offer, or a $100,000 offer? There is a skill that I see that separates an exceptional few with the ability to command high ticket prices for their services but really makes the difference between selling a $1,000 or $10,000, or $100,000 offer. The answer might surprise you.  It’s not the fanciest branding. It’s not the most prestigious certification. In fact, the most important part is simply to make the choice to start charging those prices while most constantly defer the idea of making offers like that to someday in the future. This is entirely an internal restriction that they put on themselves. Most give up before they even start but the one essential ingredient that this all boils down to is a choice. Today I am going to share five steps to make your first $100,000 offer.  In This Episode: Nobody starts with it all figured out or naturally able to sell a six-figure offer and the only way to start learning at all is to first believe that it is possible for you. Investments on this level unlock whole new levels of possibilities.  When it comes to making deals on a $100,000 level relationships play a really big role in this.  And so much more!!!

Measuring A Visionary’s Mindset with Justin Breen

Measuring A Visionary’s Mindset with Justin Breen

Today on the show we have Justin Breen. Justin is a PR expert for visionaries and is a master connector of people. He has a very unique system that he uses to assess people and understand people very early on in the conversations which allows him to make very interesting and insightful decisions. You are going to notice right away that Justin is a very unique character. He has a unique point of view and he is very straightforward and honest in his thinking and he is very frank.  In this episode, he is going to break down that he is a specific type of entrepreneur using a score or a framework called the Kolbe Score. He alludes to me being a different archetype of an entrepreneur and several other entrepreneurs. He is going to go into detail about what the Kolbe Score is, how it applies to entrepreneurs, what makes a visionary, what defines a visionary, what are some of the biggest challenges that these entrepreneurs can face, and how he uses this knowledge of the Kolbe Score to make connections and fulfill his vision of leaving the world a better place by serving the very highest change makers. I hope you enjoy this very interesting and unique conversation with Justin.  In This Episode: If you are not expanding and challenging yourself then usually you are stagnating.   There are 4 types of entrepreneurs. You write bigger checks to be in smaller rooms but the people in those rooms are making bigger impacts. That is the key to evolving and not getting stagnant as a visionary.  And so much more!!! The Life Cycle of a Great Story

The Life Cycle of a Great Story

Today we are going to be talking about a really important aspect of great stories that many people don’t consider or think about when they first start telling stories or even after a very long time speaking and sharing their story.  Stories have a life cycle. They are like living creatures and have a certain life span. The same story at different points in your life and your journey may be too tender to share, a north star and inspiration for your business or it may be something that bores you. It happens to all creators and it happens to all the great stories they tell. A wise visionary with a powerful message can recognize these stages of their stories and use this to a great advantage. We are going to break down the three stages of a story’s life.  In This Episode: Stories have a life cycle. They are like living creatures and have a certain life span. There is a certain magic to being able to tell a story that you were once ashamed of or was once a painful moment in your life and turn it into a tool that you can proudly use to make an impact and create abundance for yourself.  Even though this golden age can’t last forever for one story. You will always have stories in your life that are in this sweet spot if you know how and where to look for them.  And so much more!!!

Story Roadmap Session with Beth Berry

Story Roadmap Session with Beth Berry

Today on the show we have Beth Berry. This is going to be a little bit different than my typical podcast interviews. This is actually a recording of a coaching session that I did with Beth Berry. Beth recently reached out after I was doing a flash sale on my Story Roadmap Sessions and booked a session to talk about the origin story for Revolution From Home. One of her offers in Revolution From Home is a year-long transformational program for mothers. We are going to get into a lot of the details of what that is and what that looks like.  You are going to get to be a fly on the wall in me coaching Beth, asking her questions about her ideal clients, what her offer is like, and different moments in her life, and gathering information to then create a story that she can use. In about 20-30 minutes you are going to get to see how I go through this process of asking them all of these questions to create a powerful story and you will get to hear Beth’s story told through my words at the end of the episode.  In This Episode: Motherhood is one of the most important roles on the planet but it is valued as if it is one of the least important roles.  Kyle shares the story he crafted for Beth.  So much of the power of a sales page is in storytelling. Really getting to the heart of what these women are struggling with and longing for is key.  And so much more!!!   Connect with Beth Berry: Beth’s Website Beth on Facebook Beth on Instagram  Beth on Pinterest

The Deadly Mirage of Mastery

The Deadly Mirage of Mastery

Today we are going to be talking about the deadly mirage of mastery. Many entrepreneurs and leaders have this mirage-like idea where they chase some sort of milestone that marks finally making it. A sense of mastery where we can feel completely aware and in control of everything that has made us successful to this point but this is a very deadly mirage to chase.  We live in a time where the pace of information and change is faster than we have ever experienced before and in an environment like this one of the two most valuable skills you can have is your capacity to adapt to the world around you and I will tell you a little bit more about the second layer. The “I’ve finally made it” mentality shuts both of these down.  In This Episode: True masters stay masters by surrounding themselves with great coaches and the world is filled with stories that support this. Often the wisest leaders get to the top of their field by recognizing their limitations and surrounding themselves with those who have different talents and perspectives If you ignore the opportunities that the beginner’s mindset has to offer then you are leaving impact on the table. There is no bigger opportunity and better investment than getting support and coaching on your communication and storytelling. And so much more!!!

I'm Already A Great Speaker, I Have A TED Talk, Why Do I Need A Presentation Coach

I'm Already A Great Speaker, I Have A TED Talk, Why Do I Need A Presentation Coach

Today we are going to be answering one of my favorite questions of all time. I’m already a great speaker. I have a successful TED Talk, a successful podcast, and a successful keynote speech. Why do I need a presentation coach? Over the last few years, I have worked with hundreds of thought leaders in health, entrepreneurship, and transformation, and my favorite group to work with are experienced speakers who have established businesses. I can get the very best results the fastest with this group of people but there is an elephant in the room as they are not sure they need this kind of help. If you ever found yourself wondering do I need help if I am already a successful speaker I am sharing five reasons why you do.  In This Episode: Success often comes with its own set of challenges. You have demands on your time, your critical thinking, and your focus. If you are at this point with a great product or service, an established brand, and experienced speaking then you need someone to help access the very best of your message and your knowledge without it taking all of your time and energy.  As a leader, it is your most important job and responsibility to connect that vision and energy and lead from that inspiration.   The greatest speakers and leaders have coaches helping them and supporting them to communicate their message and you need that help too. And so much more!!!

Walking the Lyme - Running a 7-Figure Business While Living with Lyme with TJ Nelson

Today on the show we have an old friend, TJ Nelson. TJ and I both got our start building online businesses, wanting to move out to Thailand to grow our online businesses and travel the world. Over the last 8 years, I have had the opportunity to witness TJ grow a business online and begin to start suffering from a chronic disease.   Despite going through some of the hardest challenges I have seen almost anyone go through, he’s been able to grow a thriving 7-figure business. Leading teams, inspiring people, and most recently in his book, Walk the Lyme. In his book, he shares some of the hardest and most challenging moments from this misunderstood condition and how he got through some of the darkest moments in his life.  In This Episode: With habits, it is really important to not skip it for a single day. Your habits define your behaviors which define your life. If you skip one time, you are going to skip two times.  The most important time to do the behavior is when you don’t want to do it. You are training your brain to do things you don’t want to do. If you have your habits right you’re doing the behaviors right and success is really just a bunch of small actions repeated over time.  No leverage, no accountability, no chance. What Salsa Can Teach You About High-Ticket Sales

What Salsa Can Teach You About High-Ticket Sales

Today we are going to talk about what salsa can teach you about high-ticket sales. Several times in my life I have taken dancing classes. Partner dancing is not something that comes naturally to me. In fact, it is pretty stressful and awkward.  With a partner, I am pretty stiff when I am dancing but I am the lead so I have to indicate when we are starting and where we are going. It is a lot of responsibility to be the lead and if you are not clear and confident it is hard for your partner to respond to your movement.  A good lead can subtly guide a follower and instantly make them better. Wouldn’t it be good to have a lead like this in dancing and other situations like finances, sales, and eating right? What would you want to instantly and clearly be better at? In This Episode: A good lead in storytelling will help you shine on the stage.  With a few good prompt questions, a simple storytelling framework, and the experience of a trained ear, we can create a story that can fix in a day what has been a problem for years or create an entirely new presentation.  For new and aspiring speakers a good lead can cut the learning curve from years to weeks maybe days crafting a message that resonates with your audience, and your ideal clients, and supports your vision and business goals.  And so much more!!!

When is the Right Time to Create a New Keynote or Presentation

When is the Right Time to Create a New Keynote or Presentation

Today we are going to be answering a very important question. Should we create a new keynote speech or signature talk? There are certain crossroads at every entrepreneur’s, coach's, and visionary’s journey where this may or may not be necessary. It takes a lot of energy to create a new presentation to spill your thoughts down to something you can use reliably in about 30-45 minutes over and over again to be a high-converting tool.  There is a certain lifespan to a good presentation or keynote and many great coaches, visionaries, and leaders are not quite aware of this lifespan. I am going to break down four different key moments when it is time to decide if you should create a new presentation.  In This Episode: There is a certain lifespan to a good presentation or keynote. It can be difficult for new and experienced speakers alike to know when is the right time to create something new.  The origin story is about the problem that your offer solves. So if you have a new offer you are solving a new problem and you need to describe the origin of that problem in your life.  And so much more!!!

How I Helped a Client Create 17 YouTube Videos in One Day

How I Helped a Client Create 17 YouTube Videos in One Day

Today I am going to tell you how I helped a client of mine create 17 YouTube videos in one day. So what does it take to create over four months of content in a single day and how would it feel knowing that is all scheduled out and planned for you? Sure sounds nice, right? Where would you even start? For most, the idea of sitting in front of a camera for a few hours to create, talk, and share your knowledge is both intimidating and overwhelming. Content takes time! But with the right help and strategy, it can happen. Listen in to hear what we did! In This Episode: Content takes time! With the right help and strategy, the obstacles can quickly disappear.  Having somebody else to be able to guide his attention and energy and allow him to flow as best as possible created an environment where he could have a lot of videos done and start integrating them into his business.  Things that you thought would take months to create can be done in a day and a matter of hours. This is what I do in my VIP days.  And so much more!!!

The Wisdom of Your Ideal Worst Day with George Bryant

The Wisdom of Your Ideal Worst Day with George Bryant

Today on the show we have George Bryant. This has been one of my favorite interviews of the last couple of months. George is an excellent guest. He has a ton of experience being an influencer in the health space for a long time and he has grown many different six and seven-figure companies and simultaneously is a world-class coach and somehow does this all in just a few hours a day to make plenty of time for his family. It wasn’t exactly an easy road to get here and he has a ton of stories to share about how that process has gone. George has a ton of gems to share about facing your fears, your hardest moments, and really leaning into the resistance. We are going to dive into a particularly interesting idea he has about how to define your ideal worst day. What are the baseline things that you can do if you can do these things even on your worst day then you still will be making progress toward your goals? We are going to explore what that looks like on the podcast today.  In This Episode: Play is the most underrated secret weapon of any human being that wants to be successful.  The intention is everything. Intentionality everywhere in our lives especially with where we choose to spend our time is probably one of the greatest resources people have at their disposal when they start using it.  All too often we allow outside circumstances to dictate our actions and behaviors which prevent us from winning in most areas of life. 4 Ways You're Leaving Your Best Stories and Money on the Table

4 Ways You're Leaving Your Best Stories and Money on the Table

We are going to be going over some hard truths today. It may not feel good to hear but once you know about them you will be better off. We are going to be talking about ways you are leaving money on the table, blindspots in your marketing, sales, and communication that are keeping you from getting as good of results as you could.  The problem of having your best, most useful stories hidden in plain sight impacts leaders at every level of success whether you are just starting out and crafting your offer for the first time or you have been doing this for a long time and you have really good systems and ways of doing things. No matter what stage of your career you are in means missing out on these stories and leaving money and impact on the table. Discovering the right stories to tell and finding these stories that are hidden in plain sight is one of my favorite things to help my clients with. Over the course of working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, coaches, and leaders to craft stories that get results I have started to notice some common roadblocks that keep people from recalling these great powerful stories that they can use right away. So let's dig into the 4 story blindspots.  In This Episode: We are going to be talking about ways you are leaving money on the table, blindspots in your marketing, sales, and communication that are keeping you from getting as good of results as you could. Not every story serves the same purpose. If you start with the end in mind and the destination or effect that you want your story to have then it becomes a lot easier to pick out the right stories.  If you understand the frameworks of good storytelling and how they fit together strategically into a good talk then your talk and content become easy to adapt.  And so much more!!!

Why Your Origin Story is Not Enough

Why Your Origin Story is Not Enough

Today on the show we are going to be talking about one of my favorite topics - origin stories but there is a twist. We are going to be talking about why your origin story is not enough. Not enough to succeed, not enough to carry your message to the goals you want to achieve. An origin story is usually 3-10 minutes long and is used to introduce yourself to the audience, create a connection and trust with them, and set you apart from your competition right off the bat.  These stories are memorable and have a cinematic feel to them and everybody wants to have one. These are also one of my favorite kinds of stories to work with people on. I love seeing how people light up when they get clear on this story and they are excited to share it. So much opportunity opens up for them. They are so thrilled to put the story into action. They feel a sense of completion but really there is a whole new world to explore. A good origin story is not the end or the entirety of your storytelling journey. It is just the beginning.   In This Episode: An origin story is usually 3-10 minutes long and is used to introduce yourself to the audience, create a connection and trust with them, and set you apart from your competition right off the bat. A good origin story is not the end or the entirety of your storytelling journey. It is just the beginning. Storytelling is a deep, diverse, and incredible world that allows you to be a martial artist of the mind. Starting with the origin story is the perfect springboard but there is so much more beyond that. And so much more!!!

How to Use Storytelling to Predict Your Future

How to Use Storytelling to Predict Your Future

Today on the show we are going to be talking about how to use storytelling to predict the future. It is a brand new year at the recording of this episode and I am hearing lots of people trashing New Year’s resolutions. They talk about them like New Year’s resolutions are the mean teacher that would scold them in class when they were a bad kid. I think people hate New Year’s resolutions because 99% of the time they are based on whatever inadequacies or insecurities you are feeling right around the new year. It is always based on something bad about yourself.  Over the last few years, I found something to replace New Year’s resolutions that is more effective and more successful. It even feels good. Listen in to hear all about it!   In This Episode: A great story is structured in a way that sweeps you from the present moment you are in and immerses you in another essential moment in time. As the story is being told unfolds you feel like you are living attuned.  The same techniques that you can use to create a great story for a keynote speech, content, or a sales call are the same techniques you can use to write your future.   When you bring these same storytelling elements into this process you can become the author of your own life.  And so much more!!!
