Impact Comes BEFORE Profit

Impact Comes BEFORE Profit

Prioritize impact over profit, as profit is a byproduct of making a positive impact on customers' lives. Emphasize helping customers achieve their desired results for long-term success. Profit should not come at the expense of impact; loyalty and positive marketing stem from delivering value. Business success relies on fulfilling promises, deepening relationships, and turning customers into advocates. Focus on impact at every level, and profits will naturally follow. The key is to avoid the toxic thinking of prioritizing profit before impact, as outlined in the book "Toxic Thinking." The game of business is won by serving, showing up, and positively changing lives, ensuring long-term success._Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? What ACTUALLY influences a buying decision?

What ACTUALLY influences a buying decision?

In this Monday Minute, we explore the pivotal question: what influences a buying decision? Contrary to common belief, it's not the features and benefits that sway choices but rather the after state – the transformation a product or service offers. Drawing parallels with tools like a hammer, we recognize that people want the house, not just the tool. Logical tools appeal to the mind, but decisions, including attention on social media, are emotional. Emphasizing the after state simplifies complex offerings, as seen in Apple's marketing. The key takeaway: focus on outcomes, sell the after state, and provide the tools for the journey. Consider this paradigm shift in your business, team, and customer interactions for lasting impact. Remember, relationships triumph over algorithms. In this Monday Minute, we explore the pivotal question: what influences a buying decision? The Only Way To Win The Race (A New Year’s Special) w/ Matt Ragland

Consistent planning and clarity are vital for success. If you lack experience in long-term planning, start with short to mid-range goals. Achievable goals often have 70-80% clarity. Overemphasis on 100% clarity can lead to perfectionism.Focus on three significant projects or "big rocks" at a time. Goals are subjective, so create ones that balance challenge and satisfaction. Consistency with controllable tasks builds confidence and understanding of effective strategies.Running regular experiments, like in SAS companies, helps identify what works. Consistency brings confidence and a realistic grasp of time requirements. Break larger goals into quarters and prioritize them using the VET score (Value, Ease, Time). The 70-20-10 rule suggests allocating 70% of time to growth, sustaining, and momentum.Track time in 15-30 minute increments for a week or more to gain awareness and optimize productivity. How To Get Grounded And Step Into Your Power

How To Get Grounded And Step Into Your Power

Welcome back to a Monday minute, a post-holiday special recorded just 36 hours before my birthday. Today, I'm unveiling a secret weapon that transformed my life, business, and relationships—the power of breath. It took me 28 years to discover this game-changer. I use breath in three ways:Every 30 minutes to an hour: An alarm reminds me to pause, take a 5.5-second inhale imagining filling my belly like a vase, followed by a 5.5-second exhale.Intra-nasal breathing: When stress hits, I press one nostril, inhale for 5.5 seconds, exhale, and repeat on the other side. It's an instant energy boost.Wim Hof method: Once a day, I dedicate 10 minutes to three intentional rounds of 30 breaths, training my lungs, body, and nervous system.Breath is the secret tool used by successful individuals. Check out the book "Breathe" by James Nestor and incorporate these practices into your daily routine for a transformative experience. Remember, breath is the one thing we take for granted, but it's the one thing we wish we had when it's gone. Easy is a state of mind

Easy is a state of mind

Life's challenges often stem from a perceived lack of control, fueled by worst-case scenario thoughts. Achieving an "easy state of mind" involves cultivating awareness and clarity, reconnecting with our bodies through simple actions, and using tools like Scott Carney's "The Wedge" to insert a pause button when things feel overwhelming. Daily practice centers on becoming aware of mental states—thinking, engagement, criticism, or autopilot—and consciously choosing where to be. Focusing on consistent actions, celebrating wins, and modulating between internal and external states in a helpful manner lead to an easeful state of mind. The key is practicing awareness to shift and be present in a chosen mental state. A recommended resource for this journey is "The Wedge" by Scott Carney._Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? Why People Don't Trust you with their Credit Card

Why People Don't Trust you with their Credit Card

Buying decisions hinge on emotions and trust. To secure trust, consistent communication and reliability are essential. Building a relationship, whether with a brand, product, or community, is pivotal. Trust is fostered through consistent engagement, responsiveness, and delivering tangible value. The journey to a purchase is a series of touchpoints, not an instantaneous decision. The lighthouse analogy emphasizes the need to consistently guide and support individuals. Success lies in creating a safe container where customers feel supported and guided toward their goals. Genuine care, continuous effort, and a focus on making a positive difference are crucial for building trust and fostering long-term success. The key is not in extracting but in creating an environment where customers genuinely feel cared for and confident in their journey._Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? The Hidden Gift Of Boredom w/ Peter King

The Hidden Gift Of Boredom w/ Peter King

In navigating personal growth, embracing self-love and intentional connections with like-minded individuals play pivotal roles. It's not about superficial affirmations but radical self-acceptance. The unconscious pursuit of approval from others can lead to unhealthy relationships. Piercing the story involves scrutinizing beliefs formed in youth, distinguishing between valuable narratives and those requiring change. Taking conscious control of one's narrative allows for intentional choices and personal evolution.Choosing who you want to be involves more than mere awareness; it requires intentional action. Embracing discomfort and actively challenging oneself are crucial for growth. Evaluating actions against the desired life direction ensures alignment and progression. Additionally, in a world filled with constant noise, intentionally creating pockets of silence becomes essential. Exploring one's feelings, appreciating solitude, and embracing the creativity found in boredom contribute to personal well-being. Reactivity, rather than intentionality, is identified as a significant mistake, emphasizing the need for purposeful decision-making._Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? This too Shall Pass

This too Shall Pass

Hey, beautiful listeners! Whether it's Monday or any other day, I've got a vital message for you. I want to delve into a powerful phrase: "This too shall pass." In my 12 years of coaching entrepreneurs, I've witnessed the greatest challenge is feeling alone during tough times. I emphasize that storms are inevitable, but the key is not facing them alone.Drawing inspiration from nature, I highlight how a buffalo herd faces storms head-on because they understand it's the quickest way through. Entrepreneurship doesn't have to be a solitary journey. The adversities we encounter—ad account shutdowns, unsuccessful offers, revenue uncertainties—are part of the entrepreneurial landscape. Remember, you can't read the label from inside the jar.Sharing personal experiences of navigating storms, I stress the importance of reaching out for support. Acknowledge the challenge, create space for yourself, and then seek help. The human experience involves modulation, a range of highs and lows, making the entrepreneurial journey a unique gift.Opening up and asking for help can be tough, but it's often the catalyst for breakthroughs. I share how seeking support has played a pivotal role in rebuilding my business amid challenges, creating monumental results. The core message is clear: you're not alone. The podcast, the community, the collective support exist to ensure you never feel isolated. Storms will come, but we're here to guide, advise, and navigate them together. Your secret to success lies in leaning on the power of community and connection, even when it feels tempting to go at it alone.Remember, this too shall pass. Reach out when needed, ask for help when necessary, and embrace the collective strength of our entrepreneurial community._Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? Quit Moving the Starting Line

Quit Moving the Starting Line

Welcome to the Monday Energy Boost! Today's focus: not moving the starting line. Here's the deal - you can't win a game or race you never start. The enemy? The distraction of perfection. The iPhone didn't start perfect, but it began, evolved, and succeeded.Tips for you:Now, Not Later: Don't set future dates. Do it now or reconsider.Create a Win Jar: Use David Goggins' Cookie Jar - store triumphs, pull them out for motivation.5-Second Rule: Mel Robbins' trick - count down from five and take action.Daily Progress: Big goals need daily steps. Lay those bricks for future success.Be Intentional: Plan your day the night before, stick to it, and remove backdoors.Bottom line? Feel the energy, stop delaying, and take that first step today. Whether it's a walk or a commitment, start the game. Remember, relationships beat algorithms. See you next time!_Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? You Need To Stop Doing THIS Today

You Need To Stop Doing THIS Today

Welcome to another Monday Minute episode! Today, we're diving into the power of mindset and clarity. I'm sharing a profound quote from one of my favorite books, "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. As an entrepreneur, this book is a must-read, and Frankl's wisdom transcends into all aspects of life. The quote goes like this: "Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued. It must ensue and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself, or as the byproduct of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success. You have to let it happen by not caring about it."These words hit home for me on personal, relational, and business levels. I keep this quote on my desk for a regular dose of grounding and perspective. I encourage you to absorb these words, let them resonate, and keep them close. Success, like happiness, is a byproduct of dedication to a higher cause. So, take this wisdom with you throughout your week, and remember, relationships beat algorithms. The 2 Most Wasted Pieces Of Digital Real Estate… and how you can optimize them

The 2 Most Wasted Pieces Of Digital Real Estate… and how you can optimize them

Hey, it's Wednesday, and I've got a funny story for you. I love talking, happy or sad, it's my thing. Today, let's talk about the two most overlooked areas in digital marketing: confirmation pages and transactional emails.Quick tip: confirmation pages matter. They set the tone for your customer relationship. Surprise them with value—videos, gifts—on that page. Don't kill the buzz after a purchase. Now, transactional emails—they're gold. From order receipts to shipping notifications, use them wisely. Guide customers on what to do before their product arrives. Eliminate buyer's remorse and create excitement.Bonus: think beyond digital. Handwritten notes, packaging—every touchpoint matters. Make it memorable.Remember, these small touches can make or break your customer journey. Stay awesome!_Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? The ONE Mistake That Cost Me $60k a Month… And How You Can Avoid It

The ONE Mistake That Cost Me $60k a Month… And How You Can Avoid It

In this episode, I reflect on a challenging period in my entrepreneurial journey, sharing a personal story of financial setbacks, losing $40,000 to $60,000 a month due to a crucial mistake. The core message revolves around staying true to one's vision and avoiding distractions that can lead to self-sabotage. I emphasize the significance of creating containers for focus, urging listeners to establish routines that protect their time and energy intentionally. Inspired by James Clear's "Atomic Habits," I discuss the power of habit stacking, emphasizing the impact of small, intentional commitments on building momentum. Additionally, I advise eliminating distractions from life that hinder growth, conducting a critical examination of habits and behaviors. Drawing parallels with Olympians, I stress the importance of focusing on one's unique journey, steering clear of comparisons with others. Overall, the episode encourages a mindset shift towards intentional living and underscores the idea that success is built on daily, intentional actions. _Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? What REALLY Matters to your Customers

What REALLY Matters to your Customers

On this Winning Wednesday episode of "The Mind of George Show," I share a low-level confession about my newfound addiction to 7-Eleven's dark chocolate-covered almonds, sparked during a stay in Miami. Transitioning to the main topic, I delve into the transformative concept of the Captain's Assessment, emphasizing the importance of understanding customers deeply. This assessment involves four columns: Before, Objection, After, and Ask, and three rows: Rocks, Reefs, and Shoals. I break down how to apply this assessment, from external beliefs (Rocks) to internal beliefs (Reefs) and paradigm beliefs (Shoals). Highlighting the crucial Ask column, I stress the significance of specific requests to escalate customer engagement. To illustrate practical applications, I discuss social media posts and email content strategies. The ultimate takeaway is to embrace the Captain's Assessment, understanding customers on a profound level to create lasting impacts in their lives and build meaningful relationships!_Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library? SEAA Method: Non-Negotiables For EVERY Social Post

SEAA Method: Non-Negotiables For EVERY Social Post

Welcome to another episode of the Mind to George Show! Today, I'm revealing my SEAA method, a non-negotiable for every social media post. SEAA stands for Stop, Enroll, Aspire, and Action.Stop: Begin with a hook, headline, image, or video congruent with your brand. Make it attention-grabbing and purposeful.Enroll: Within seconds, enroll your audience in what you're about to share. Self-identification or presenting an appealing after state are effective techniques.Aspire: Paint a picture of where you're taking them. Generate excitement and anticipation for what they'll learn, achieve, or experience.Action: Provide a single, clear call to action. Avoid overwhelming with multiple steps; simplicity is key. For instance, comment with "done" or share a link for further engagement.Remember, every post should go through the SEAA method. This ensures your content captures attention, delivers value, and encourages meaningful actions. Relationships always beat algorithms. Join me on social, in our Facebook group, and hopefully at an in-person event soon! Have a fantastic day!_Looking for access to my entire book recommendation library?
