Ethical Underwear with Sarah Jordan from Y.O.U Underwear
My next guest approached me online explaining how aligned we were on the ethical path. Another amazing connection from London, this guest does not disappoint!
Sarah Jordan is the Founder of Y.O.U underwear which was inspired by a trip to Uganda in 2016 when she discovered the huge number of women and children who don't have access to underwear and are therefore excluded from their school or community, particularly during their period.

She believes you can have it all - beautiful underwear that makes you feel amazing, is manufactured fairly, and helps support vulnerable communities around the world. Ethical Oceans with Flavio Affinato
My next guest and I connected through the internet and realised our missions aligned. Based in London, this guest has practically been around the world and has a background in ecology and research - which has lead to some amazing innovation that can save the world’s oceans.
Flavio Affinato is a Co-Founder of NuOceans - They have found a way to make flip flops out of old flip flops and plastic bottles recovered from the seas and beaches. They repurposed these materials to offer a quality and comfort comparable to that of the largest brands. They offer a unisex line inspired by the ocean that gives back to the ocean.
Their mission is to clean up our oceans that are littered with tonnes of disposed flip-flops or thongs as we call them here and recycle them to become brand new that can also be recycled again. If you know of connections that could support or connect Flavio and his team in their mission, please get in touch.

Ethical Empowerment with Farmer Dave
My next guest and I crossed paths over 8 years ago when I hosted a local LGBTIQ radio show called Get Your Queer On. I interviewed him then after he had come out to the nation on TV as a contestant on Big Brother. Soon after this reality tv experience he was used as a political football and was bashed for being gay in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. Back then this wasn’t an easy conversation to have - luckily since then things have changed.
David Graham - best known as Farmer Dave graced our screens in 2006 as a Big Brother contestant and has since also been a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and has travelled the world as a model and political activist. Nowadays, Dave is better known for his work as a farmer and animal behaviourist, expanding his big heart, bush skills and kindness to the youth program called Ruff Track for kids aged between 13-17 who have gone off the rails to give them skills, engagement, education, a sense of self worth and community. They help to empower these young people by helping them establish trust and bonds with amazing working dogs. The 12 week journey sees them 'joining up' with a young dog at a similar stage in life to themselves and working together to accomplish daily goals of manners, communication, overcoming challenges, sheep herding, and fun dog Sports such as K9 Super Wall and DockDogs.
The RuffTRACK crew then takes this knowledge on the road with incredible community outreach programs and performances in schools across Australia.
Knowing Dave - this sounds like a match made in heaven.

Ethical Business for Purpose with Sally Irwin
My next guest is no stranger to a podcast with me. She has been the voice for modern slavery and human trafficking in Australia in recent years. After seeing the women in Germany being trafficked across eastern borders for sex and supporting them, she returned home to Australia, thinking we were immune to such horror. She soon discovered that the reality was that modern slavery did exist in Australia for tens of thousands of people and not just the sex trade - this made her angry and fueled her mission to create the Freedom Hub.
Sally Irwin is the Founder of Freedom Hub, which is a registered charity that equips survivors to live in freedom and they welcome volunteers and local fundraising events to help this cause succeed.
They also run a social enterprise café and retail store, which provides an opportunity for every Australian to choose ethically sourced products with no slavery in the supply chain, while making a difference in the lives of others. 100% of profits support the administration of our Survivor School.
With Freedom Hub cafes on the Gold Coast and in Sydney, along with an event venue focused on ethical event celebrations, this truly is a cause we need to get behind.

Ethical Coffee with Karen Barnett from Montville Coffee
When my Naturopath recommended I go organic I found it a bit daunting at first. Then when I found the right places for organic produce and products, I felt like I was home. Sometimes it can be difficult to get everything organic, but starting is the easiest part and it just flows from there. So when it came to the choice of choosing an organic coffee, I didn’t find it too difficult. The coffee I found was fair trade, which really means a lot - you’ll find that in this episode, it was organic, it was a Queensland company and it was also socially conscious. Oh did I mention the coffee is delicious too?
So my choice was Montville Coffee and from day 1 I was hooked! I was a bit chuffed to get the chance to speak to Founder Karen Barnett about their story and how they are one of the few B Corp certified coffee companies in Queensland. The more I got to chat with Karen, the more I could see her mission unfold and the impact they make locally and globally. So the next time you see a pack of Montville Coffee, grab one and give it a go - you are not just supporting a Queensland company, you’re also behind a global movement. Let’s talk coffee and global domination with Karen Barnett...

Holistic Sound Healing with Amanda Mackay
If you know me, you know my next guest is no stranger to waves of sound.
We met about 8 months ago and since then our lives have changed for the better. She has mindblowing intuition and is a holistic healer who truly loves what she does. She’s a Kindness Advocate with a mission to spread kindness globally, understanding that kindness is at the root of all we need to heal.
Amanda Mackay is a Sound Healer and all round amazing human - she uses instruments like singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, drums and more and uses the vibration of sound waves to connect with emotions in the Biofield. This vibration balances the 'charge' of emotion allowing a balance to occur, so that when you recall a situation there isn't the same emotional response to the pain.
I can truly say that Amanda has changed my life this year and helped me to become a better human and to heal so much pain and resistance that had been holding me back for so long. My sessions with Amanda are transformative and no two sessions are the same. If you’re even curious about sound healing, please get in touch with Amanda.

Change-making Child Protection with Nicky Mih
Amidst the volumes of research I did to create Ethical Change Agency and exploring the guests that I knew would have a great alignment with The Ethical Evolution, I came across a remarkable woman who I believe needs a hell of a lot more recognition than she currently gets.
To put it simply, she’s a woman who makes things happen and she knew from a young age that she wanted to make a difference in this world when she understood that a long human life is only about 650,000 hours and she wanted to make the most of every one of them.
Nicky Mih is the founder and Managing Director of the child protection organisation Free To Shine, and has led a team of professionals, including social workers, psychologists and education officers, to secure the safety of girls across rural Cambodia. Nicky and her team have worked with police, community leaders and schools to prevent girls being trafficked into the commercial sex industry and help them achieve their rights to access education, safe drinking water, enough food and adequate shelter.
Leading a child protection organisation has taught Nicky Mih lessons in ethical and effective leadership, while the girls and their families have taught Nicky perspective, strength, community and even joy.
I was really moved by what Nicky does and what she faces and the lives she changes - grab your tissues and settle in with this remarkable woman.

Ethical Consumerism with Ethically So
My next guest was another incredible Instagram find of ethical goodness. A passionate little lady with a mission to reduce waste and go plastic free in what we buy.
Whilst on her travels around the globe she saw the impact our addiction with plastic was having on not only the environment, the marine world, but also us as human beings.
After finally settling in New Zealand she felt she needed to do something to make a difference. Living a sustainable life wasn’t quite as easy for her in New Zealand as it was when she lived in here in Australia. So she decided to do something to change this.
Annie Shaw is the Founder of Ethically So, a low waste, plastic free online store based in New Zealand. All products are naturally sustainable, reusable, locally sourced or plastic free. She’s on a mission to make living a waste free life the normality. We need to think about where our products come from and how they end up in our hands. Get ready to be inspired by Annie...

Ethical Philanthropy with Leonie Dawson
I discovered my next guest through her blog around a year ago and I remember reading her words and they filled me with hope, they made me laugh and it was like I had found a kindred spirit. She’s real, she’s raw, she’s highly intelligent, a brilliant writer and artist and she leaves you coming back for more. I remember the first interview I did with her - it was like I’d found a new best friend and we chatted for ages about how similar our lives were and how much we had in common. Despite being a multi-millionaire entrepreneur, she takes the time to embrace this human experience and engage with those who support her.
Leonie Dawson is an artist, an author, a Mum, a philanthropist, a highly successful entrepreneur who is best known for her My Shining Year Goal Life & Business workbooks. Her list of philanthropic endeavours is incredible and not only does she do what she loves, she gives back to others so that they too can be their best self, regardless of their circumstances. She contributes to create and support schools, libraries and communities in countries like India and Africa. I hope you enjoy this beautiful moment in time with Leonie as much as I did.

Ethical Design & Branding with Betsy & Francis
My next guests were an Instagram find of goodness that made me realise there really are good people in this world who are wanting to make a collective change in the way we do things. The further I explored, the more I realised I had found my tribe and this became even more apparent when we finally got the chance to chat and record this interview. We left each other energised and inspired, knowing this wouldn’t be the first or the last time we see each other.

Ethical Entrepreneurs with Tamara Loehr
Ethical entrepreneur and creative powerhouse Tamara Loehr has spent her life making disruptive change for good by ‘doing the opposite’. Now she’s encouraging other women to leverage their personal power for global impact.
Her book - Balance is BS demonstrates how to have a work, life blend. The book also addresses the recurring issues women (and many men) face as entrepreneurs: the reality of losing more than we win, the need to take a stand against bad behaviour in business, and misconceptions around having to ‘compromise’ as a working parent.
A major share of Tamara’s profits from the book are being donated to Buy1Give1. With her instinct for picking brands that elevate the industry, Tamara invested in a gut health functional snack food company called Gutsii, and premium vegan haircare brand Hot Tresses. Tamara has set her sights on disrupting the beauty industry with her Dollar Beauty Tribe. Tamara believes the purchasing power of consumers in the beauty industry can abolish animal testing, set a new ethical standard for beauty brands and positively impact the world.

The Ethical Evolution - Introduction
I wanted to tell you the story behind how we got here and by that I mean - Ethical Change Agency and The Ethical Evolution podcast. I have had a diverse career in tourism, digital, communications and radio. I have volunteered a good chunk of my life, giving back to communities, small businesses, women and those who needed me. In the last year I have been fortunate to speak to hundreds of people who are really great at what they do, but not really great at telling others about it. I soon realised that I had a nack for extracting the true message from people and what they wanted to achieve. I saw where I could help, I saw where I could create, support, elevate and collaborate. It became clear to me that there was a need to help promote those ethical business owners, those changemakers and holistic healers who were all making a change in the world. Imagine if we amplified those voices and led the charge for a collective change.
In the last year, I have become a more enlightened, conscious human being through my own healing and self acceptance. I’ve spent a lot of time researching, reading, meditating and stretching my imagination, mind and body. Through this exploration and meditation, I have received messages and visions that the universe intends for me. On a night a few months ago now, I got a vision of a commercial premises, which was all decked out in skandi style, it had a professional recording studio, video recording studio, retail store, meditation rooms, listening pods, boardroom, training rooms, consulting rooms, a breakout kitchen area and outdoor area where you can connect with nature. It was located near parkland or by the water to make our connection to nature even greater. I didn’t really know what to make of it at the time but there was a logo on the wall in neon on the beechwood wall with the word agency with a capital A and a circle around that A - like a grade on a paper.
Over time the vision became clearer after speaking to thought leaders, entrepreneurs and business coaches - soon my team was mapped out on paper, the floor plan for the premises was a little more tangible and my goals to reach those who needed me became global. That vision was an agency and for a while it was known as The Agency - but I knew with the way the world works I couldn’t call it that and it would be a disservice if I did. I needed time to be clearer and connect with what the universe presented me and when I came to realise that there are all these amazing people wanting to do good, but wasting time and money on things that were no longer serving them - it was my mission to get them on the right path. These people wanted to see change in the world - it was the reason they were doing business and giving back or creating an environment where they could give back was entrenched in them. They were passionate about helping people, helping the planet, helping those less fortunate, educating others - their motivation was not greed - it was kindness and care - ethical change. And soon after that realisation, the universe sent me the Ethical Change Agency.
My specialisation is podcasts and sound, but a holistic communication approach for those who needed it was really my niche. My decades in corporate, with eons of lessons learned have proven to be valuable. There’s a new way of driving business and it’s not what you think - it’s about becoming an authority in what you do - a thought leader and when you are a changemaker, your impact is greater. So when I asked the question - do I need my own podcast (again) - the answer was a resounding yes and after agonising days of word play with those in earshot - The...
