How I dropped the ball
Nobody has it all together. We all drop the ball sometimes. And you know what? Whoever you look up to, those celebrities who seem to have it all together on Instagram, guaranteed they are dropping the ball just as much as you, if not more. Because they’re human and we’re all making it up as we go.  I stuff things up all the time but I know it’s part of the process and I trust that process. It’s not supposed to be easy. Life is hard but I know how to let the hard stuff strengthen me and teach me valuable lessons for next time. Let the process strengthen you. Don’t get caught up in self-doubt and all that junk.  If I could say one thing to you right now, it’s this... When you drop the ball (because you will), don’t make it a big deal. Don’t get angry at yourself and make it a big drama and feel like everyone else is doing better than you. No one can do it all! If you dropped the ball you can pick it back up. Be aware of what happened, make a new plan and move forward. You got this. Vote for me! https://australianpodcastawards.com/voteJoin the Waitlist to BUY MY BOOK!Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Social anxiety post lockdown
I received a fantastic question from one of my listeners Cynthia, and it happens to be the most perfect time to release this episode as Melbourne prepares for our lockdown to end tomorrow. The question is: How do I manage social anxiety coming out of lockdown?I am SO excited to get back out into the world y'all, but for some people, there is a lot of anxiety around how they will adjust to being back in the world with other people around. We've become so used to being in small groups with just our family, being in our houses most of the day, staying in our little bubble. What happens when we're able to freely move around again and all our public places, our shopping centres, our hair salons start having large numbers of people again. This may be anxiety-inducing for some of you and I want to let you know that's okay.Check-in with yourself. Journalling is a really good idea in this situation. Write down the feelings that you're having about what it's going to be like to be back out in public with other humans and think about what you need to feel safe.LINKS:Join the Waitlist to BUY MY BOOK!Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? If you're struggling right now, listen to this.
If you're struggling right now, I want you to really sit with this and take it all in. It's okay if you're not doing well - 2020 is hard work y'all. But don't expect anything to change, don't expect to start to feel better if you're avoiding your issues. If you're running away from your problems, trying to sweep them under the rug and hope that they'll go away - I'm sorry but they won't go away. You're not meant to do this on your own. Who do you have in your life that you can lean on? Who can help support you when you're feeling awful? I have hot seat coaching that I do with my Sistahood women twice a month, and I hold space for the women in there. I coach them through the issues they're facing and we are there for each other. But not everyone in the Sistahood is jumping on those calls. Some may be avoiding the work. I'm here to tell you that you can't avoid the work. You need to run towards it. You need to stare it in the face, feel supported by someone else if you need to, and work through it.As I mentioned in this episode, download your free self-coaching cheat sheet HEREFollow me hereInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Social Media doesn't have to be a "dilemma"
The other night my husband and I watched a show on Netflix called "The Social Dilemma". If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend checking it out. There was a lot of negativity portrayed in here around the use of social media and how it has turned into a bigger marketing machine than anyone could have anticipated. It got my husband and I thinking and chatting about how we use social media, and how it can be used for good but how important boundaries are when using it. If you have children and they are on social media, I can't even imagine how hard that is to navigate. My kids are only small so they're not on it yet, but if your kids are older there is a lot that needs to be thought about here. I think that social media is an incredibly powerful tool for business, for connecting with people, for feeling part of something but it can also spiral out of control. You can become addicted to watching other people's lives, wishing you were them, comparing yourself to them. In this episode today I give you some tips on how you can use social media in a positive way, setting up boundaries, talking about it with your kids and having times when you just leave your phone alone. I don't think social media needs to be a "dilemma", but like anything it needs your thought around how to use it properly.LINKS:Join the Waitlist to BUY MY BOOK!Watch The Social Dilemma on NetflixInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? How to stop being indecisive
One of my beautiful Instagram followers messaged me recently letting me know she was struggling with making decisions. She was in a relationship with a narcissist, there was gaslighting going on and she was really struggling to make her own decisions as a result. So how do you stop being indecisive? It's not something that just happens. You need to practice making decisions all the day. Stop asking for outside input and go within yourself. The more decisions you make, even if they start out really small, will help you build that muscle and give you the confidence to make more.Download My FREE Audio Training - What It Really Takes To Change Your LifeInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Why are you seeking validation?
For whatever reason, we may have something happen to us in our past (most likely our childhood or adolescence) that has us seeking validation or acknowledgement from others in some form. The overachiever/workaholic who’s constantly trying to prove to someone that they’re good enough (that’s def been me)The self-conscious woman who obsesses about her body image and how she needs to look externally (that’s also been me)The workaholic who hustles their face off trying to be the most successful they’ve ever been, make the most money they’ve ever made so that they can finally get the approval from society, their parents, ex bullies etc ... (been there too!)The list goes on and on.You finally reach a point where you realise that you don’t need validation or acknowledgement from anyone else but yourselfThis is when you gain your freedom to just BE who it is you want to be.This obviously requires deep excavation of the self and a commitment to letting go of the thoughts, beliefs and things that no longer serve your growthLinks We Mentioned:Power Couples MasterclassConnect with Hamish:Join his free meditation courseInstagram: @manfulnessmenConnect with Erika:GRAB MY FREEBIE - What It Really Takes To Change Your LifeInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women – the SistahoodLearn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Course👑 Want to request a podcast? Are you jealous?
I have been in some terrible relationships y'all. If you've been following me for awhile, you'll know the kind of men I used to date and the way I allowed them to treat me. I was jealous of other women, jealous of what they had and I felt like I could never have that. But after years of working on myself and marrying the most wonderful, respectful man, I thought I was past all of that jealous bullshit. But something came up for me recently that was unexpected.I was on Hamish's phone on the explore section of his Instagram and there were all of these hot women in workout gear popping up. I know that the explore section fills with what you search for - it's all algorithms, so I was confused. I immediately started thinking that Hamish mustn't like my body, that he's looking at fit women because I'm not fit enough, that he doesn't want to have sex with me...all these things that deep down I know aren't true.So I confronted him about it. I asked him straight up why there were all these women on his feed and he told me honestly what was going on. It wasn't that he had been looking at women, that he didn't appreciate my body - he tells me all the time how sexy I am. It wasn't anything like that. He was just looking at fitness clothing.I had made up this story in my head about what Hamish was doing and it all stemmed from what I had dealt with in the past. If you're jealous or comparing yourself to other women, get excited about that. It means you can work on it. You can heal that and change your story. The three questions I asked in this episode are:What actually happened? What did I make it mean? What else could it mean? (this is the game-changer)Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women – the SistahoodLearn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Course👑 Want to request a podcast? What to do if you lost your job during COVID
If you’re out there going through some trouble regarding work during this long ass pandemic that’s just never-ending it seems, this is an episode that you’ll want to tune into.So many businesses have been forced to close and many jobs have been lost. If you are someone that has lost their job, I feel for you and I want to arm you with some steps that you can take to turn your situation around.Firstly, you got to get your money sorted right? Whatever it takes. Apply for welfare, jobseeker, jobkeeper and any government funding you can. There’s also small business grants and other grants that you can look into. Otherwise, if you’re not able to pay your bills you might need to get a non-sexy job that gets you over the line for now. Work at a gas station, look for freelance work online, get onto Fiverr - whatever it takes to get your money sorted. Then you need to get out of the headspace of “I can’t”. This is a very easy place for your mind to live right now. I can’t work, I can’t exercise the way I’d like to, I can’t leave my house. Although these may be true for you, it’s not healthy to live in that mind. Instead, focus on what you CAN do. You can rejig your resume, you can get a job you don’t love for right now, you can spend more time with your kids. You can really think about where your life was heading, and where you need to pivot. I’ve got a lot of tips to share with you today and I hope it helps you feel armed with some positive action.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women – the SistahoodLearn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Course👑 Want to request a podcast? Healing is not linear
I'm writing my first book right now and the journey I am on with this is incredible. I am going deep into my childhood to try and understand the timelines of so many things that I can't really remember. I didn't initially think I would be including a lot of my story in this book but I'm realising how important it is to share as much as I can.As I've gone back through the memories that I have of my childhood, I've been realising how much is missing. I don't know timelines, I don't know ages and I really wanted to do some digging to see if I could join some of the dots for my book.So I started Googling the social worker I had as a child. I remembered her first name and where I was during that time, but that's about it. Sure enough, her name came up and the minute I saw her last name, so many emotions came flooding in.This social worker still works in the same place. I was able to contact her and leave a voicemail. It was incredible. Again, as I heard her voice on her voicemail more emotions came flooding in. I sobbed and sobbed after I left her a message.I didn't expect her to remember me. I didn't expect her to email me back, but she did. And again, a flood of emotions washed over me.So I wanted to share this with you today to let you know that healing is not linear. I have done years and years of work on myself and I have processed so much trauma. I have a wonderful life, a gorgeous family and everything I need. But it doesn't mean that my healing journey is over. The journey will never e over. There will always be things to work through, emotions to process and that is okay.Allow yourself to feel your feelings and know that you will work through them.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women – the SistahoodLearn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Course👑 Want to request a podcast? My Journey – Becoming a transgender man with Riley Kelso
Today is a very, very special episode. As you know, I like to share the stories of my students in the Sistahood. Well, this particular student is going through quite a remarkable journey and was eager to share it with you all. Riley started his journey as a woman, and is now going through the experience of transitioning into a transgender man. He joined the Sistahood and has been doing such incredible work on himself. My journey with spirituality
If you've been following me for awhile and know my story, you'll know that my childhood was hectic and through this time I really rejected spirituality and religion for many reasons that I go into during this episode. I didn't believe in anything. I thought religion was terrible. I wasn't spiritual and life was just full on all of the time. I was always fighting, always angry and always cautious of anything spiritual. Then I met Hamish. Now anyone who knows my husband or follows him on social media will know he's a spiritual guy. He does shamanic work, he grew up in a very Catholic household and Hamish has always been intrigued by different religions and has studied many of them. When I met him, he started to break down some of these blocks I had around spirituality and what I'd made it mean to me up until that point. In this episode today I walk you through my journey with spirituality and where I have landed today with it all. Some of the books that helped me with my spiritual journey:Wayne Dyer - Theres a Spiritual Solution to Every Problemhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20972.There_s_a_Spiritual_Solution_to_Every_ProblemWayne Dyer - Change your thoughts change your life Deepak Chopra - The Book of Secrets Deepak Chopra - 7 Spiritual Laws of Success Joe Dispenza - The Placebo Affect Movies:What the bleep do we know - Down the Rabbit hole - https://whatthebleep.com/down-the-rabbit-hole/The Shift - Wayne Dyer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SnWOTDykAc&t=599sThrive - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEV5AFFcZ-sConnect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Let’s not be assholes to each other
I need you to take a minute with me here to delve into this topic. How other people act, react, think, feel and speak is out of your control. What they believe, their life circumstances, what they've seen is completely unique to them and as a result of their experiences, people will behave according to what they believe to be true. You may not agree with them, but you don't have to be an asshole. You don't have to sit there judging them or assuming who they are based on something completely surface level. You have a choice in these moments to either be a dick, or just focus on yourself. When we're divided as a community we suffer, we fight, shit doesn't get solved. When we stand together and BE KIND is where the real magic happens. So before you judge someone in future, instead just try to come from a place of compassion and be a good human. If 2020 feels heavy, listen to this
Y'all know there's a lot going on right now. Whether you're in lockdown or not. It doesn't matter where you are, we all know that 2020 is a lot. It's heavy and we all recognise it. But I'm not here to tell you that it's heavy. You already know that because we're getting blasted with images, stories, videos all over our social media platforms. And if you let all that in, if you let yourself go down a rabbit hole of all the bad shit that's happening right now, you'll start to feel really heavy. So instead of focusing on all the things that are happening out there that are out of your control, this is my invitation for you to come back to yourself. Pay attention to your immediate surroundings. Pay attention to how you're feeling, thinking, behaving and whether you're serving your own needs and the needs of those around you. If you're doing your part, if you're showing up for yourself, then you're able to show up for others. It's that simple. Don't get yourself bogged down thinking about all the bad shit that's happening, just come back in and work on what you need. Now I'm not saying don't support the causes that you want to support, that's not it at all. All I'm saying is, focus on what you can control right now and take a fucking breath ya'll. 2020 is a marathon not a sprint and you need to pace yourself. Compassion fatigue is real and if you're getting overwhelmed, that's not going to help anybody.I love you. I support you. I'm with you. Join the Sistahood and feel supported by a community of women that are doing such amazing work. I'm so proud of y'all.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? The damage caused by trying to “do good” with Leigh Mathews
There is a lot to unpack on today's episode y'all. I had the pleasure of being interviewed on Leigh Mathew's podcast "The Good Problem" a couple of months ago, and she was asking me questions that I'd never really been asked before around doing good, and what that really meant. It was a really interesting conversation, and the more I've learned about Leigh, the more my eyes have been opened to the incredible work that she is doing in the world. This is a woman on fire with a purpose and I'm so pleased to bring her onto the podcast today. We go pretty deep into a lot of topics, but I really want you to take away from this episode a curiosity to dive deeper into the good you're wanting to do in the world. When you're looking to support a charity or an organisation, really do your research to understand whether the impact you're trying to make will actually be achieved. There are so many organisations out there that have the best of intentions that are actually doing more harm than good. Shocking I know, and when I first heard that from Leigh I couldn't see how that could be, but it is very much the case.I hope you enjoy!Connect with Leigh:Website: https://www.leighmathews.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/_leighmathewsLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/leigh-mathewsaltoPodcast: The Good ProblemConnect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Unrealistic expectations I put on myself
I've been battling with myself a bit lately because I want to do all the things. I want to serve all the people. I want to reply to every message, every email, every DM on Instagram and I want to be there for y'all. But the thing is, I'm tired. I've got a husband. I've got kids. I've got other things to do in my business and I realised that I was setting these unrealistic expectations for myself as to how much I could achieve. In the beginning of building my business I was able to reply to everything and that felt amazing, but I have to come to terms with the fact that this won't always be achievable. I can't be all the things to all the people. So I'm currently navigating my way through how best to stay connected to this beautiful community that we are building, but also have the time and space to create and relax. It's a challenge, and I invite you to do the same.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Give yourself a break
We're so hard on ourselves, and especially right now with all the craziness that's going on, we really need to give ourselves a break. Look y'all, being a human is hard work. We've got so many things going on all the time and there are so many opportunities to fuck things up, and we will. That's a guarantee. You've got to have patience and respect the process. You've got to work on cutting yourself some slack and just chill out. Stop trying to swim up stream and just go with the flow sometimes. Stop making it harder for yourself than it has to be. I've been working so hard during COVID, I've realised I've barely taken a breath. It's my time to shine. I work in mental health and there are so many of you struggling out there right now, but I know I also have to give myself a break. I need to take my own advice and just chill. Find some time to take care of yourself and sit with your feelings.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Is your purpose calling you?
I get a lot of messages from women saying things like, "No one is speaking up for the beauty industry, the LGBTQ community, single mothers..." etc, it could be any niche. They're wanting more to be done but for some reason don't think it should be them that uses their voice. They wish something more was said or done for a certain community, but they don't do anything themselves. Consider that perhaps that's your purpose calling you to action. If you are passionate about something, then use your voice and start a movement, start a group, start a YouTube channel. It doesn't really matter what it is, just start something. If you're wishing that someone would speak up for a cause, why is that person not you? Your purpose lies in the thing that you're most passionate about. It doesn't matter how "small" you think that thing might be. If it makes you happy and you feel fulfilled, that's all that matters. How to hear your intuition
Today's episode is an IGTV from my Q&A Tuesday show. The question was:"How do I tune into my intuition? I feel like I'm blocked. I feel like I don't get messages. How do I know if I'm have intuition or not and why do I feel like it's not coming through for me?" We often hear the word "download" used when people are talking about listening to their intuition, and that might not be a word that resonates with you. Maybe you think that because you're not getting "downloads" that you don't have intuition. That's not the case. Everyone has intuition. Your intuition is basically just your feelings. If you're really listening to how you're feeling, how your body is reacting to a situation, or a thought - that's all it is. Just being more aware of your body and your mind is all it is. If you would like to leave me a voice message for the chance to be featured on our Q&A Tuesday episodes, head here.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Confidence Chronicles and The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? This is why you don’t have what you want
My love, I want you to really listen to me here. If you're wondering why you're not getting what you want, most of the time the answer is simple. You're not doing the work. I've said it before and I'll say it again and again, but if you aren't willing to go into the depths of yourself and really look at who you are - the shadow self, the mean girl that lives inside of you, then you'll never be able to get the results you desire.I know that if you listened to what I'm saying and did the work, you would start to feel better, you would change your attitude, you would change your mind. It won't happen immediately, it's going to take some time, but it will happen. Get a piece of paper, a piece of toilet paper, a Kmart receipt - whatever it is that you can write on and start to write down those thoughts that are in your head. Have a look at them and you will start to recognise the patterns that are stopping you. You can be your worst enemy or your best friend, all the work starts with you.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Confidence Chronicles and The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Why I’m no longer doing things I suck at
As you may know, I'm writing a book about confidence. It's something that I have wanted to do for awhile and y'all know I've got a lot to say on the topic. So I've been trying to figure out how to actually write this thing. I googled it, I got transcripts from my podcast episodes, I wrote things out on sticky notes, I was doing my head in over it. I felt stressed and I wasn't getting anywhere. So I started thinking about something that I learned from Dean Graziosi when he said that he doesn't focus on his weaknesses, he only focuses on his strengths. Why was I trying to write a book? I'm not a writer. I'm a speaker. I will talk at your face all day long, but make me write and I'm lost for words. I've created the resources that have allowed me to now outsource my book writing to a wonderful ghost writer which can leave me to continue doing the things that I know I'm great at.This is not permission for you to procrastinate and not do things because you say you're not good at them, but it's an invitation to think about what you can outsource and if you can't afford to do that right now, who can you turn to for help, or how can you work towards making enough money that you can one day outsource those things that you suck at.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Confidence Chronicles and The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Being an Anti-Racist Ally with Sophie Williams
I am so excited for you to hear this episode with the incredible Sophie Williams. I found out about Sophie via Instagram the week that George Floyd died where she shared a post that went viral and it was so powerful. Sophie Williams (@officialmillennialblack) is a dedicated anti-racism advocate and activist. Have you been looking after yourself?
This is a lesson that I'm in the middle of right now. As ya'll know, I recently had surgery and it's been full on. I've been pushing myself too hard, running around still doing all the things without truly acknowledging how I'm feeling. I'm sore. I'm tired. I've got a million thoughts happening with all the things I want to do. I'm so passionate about all the injustice that's going on in the world right now and I want to serve. But listen, if you're not stopping to acknowledge what your body and your mind really need, then you better believe there will come a point when you can't avoid it anymore. It will make you aware and you will be forced to stop.So my question to you is, are you checking in with yourself? Are you acknowledging that you need time, you need space, you need to sit down and just rest? If you're not doing any of that, how can you expect to be full of energy and ready to serve. It's the truth. I don't believe that life is short. I believe it's long and although I feel as if I've lived such a full life already, I've barely scratched the surface. But if I don't stop and slow the fuck down, then I won't be any good to anybody. Sit with the questions that I ask in this episode. Really feel them and feel your body. Acknowledge that you need to look after yourself and recognise that you need to breathe.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Confidence Chronicles and The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? 10 Things I’ve learned from turning 37
It’s been a big year. A BIG year! As most of you know, I recently had surgery to have my breast implants removed after 13 years and then a breast lift. Ya’ll it really knocked me out and I really didn’t think it was going to be such a big deal. It took a lot of time to heal and now I’ve hit the ground running with live events starting back up and so many things happening, including my birthday!I just turned 37 and I feel like I’ve learned so much this year. These thoughts were pouring out of me at midnight so I decided to share 10 things I’ve learned from turning 37.Even though you’ve already changed so much, there’s still so much more change to comeIf you allow yourself to dream big, you can achieve the unthinkableYour words create your worldIt is ok to have everything you wantEvery time you’re about to move or jump to a new level of yourself, you are definitely going to be scared and “nervicited”I don’t slow down anywhere near as much as I can and that this will be my superpower which I haven’t even scraped the surface ofI sucked at friendships this year and I sucked at keeping in touch with my mom and dad and I need to do better thereYou can thrive and change the world even in a pandemicFamily time matters. It’s ok to be scared when you’re going to be bold and stand up for something. If you fuck it up, you can apologise for doing the wrong thing.BONUS - My husband is always right.Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Confidence Chronicles and The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Course👑 Want to request a podcast? Life Lessons Series: Recovery post implant removal surgery
It has been a weird few days post implant removal surgery. The pain medication has caused some really tough side effects that caused me to feel like I've been in a daze for the last few days. I couldn't focus, my headaches were intense and my expectations as to how quickly I'd be able to bounce back from this were way off. This has been quite an intense experience and has required a lot more rest and healing than my initial breast surgery 14 years ago. I have stopped taking the pain medication and have now started to feel better. This is the second episode in my breast implant removal series. Life Lessons Series: Why I’m having surgery
Ya'll know I like to keep it real, so over the next few episodes on the podcast, I'm going to share with you my journey through my breast reduction surgery. When I was 23 years old I had a breast lift done because I was really self-conscious with the way they looked at the time. They were big still, but they were saggy and I really didn't feel good about them. So I had a lift and in order to do the lift, I had saline implants put in to give them good shape. It has now been almost 14 years since I had the surgery and my boobs are gigantic. They don't cause me pain, there have been no dramas, but I really felt called to have the saline implants removed and to get some smaller boobies happening. This is the first episode in the series that takes place before I've gone through the surgery. This is my journey through the process. I hope it helps you!Connect with Erika:Instagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Confidence Chronicles and The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.comWAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? The confidence to stand up and speak out
Y'all know there's a lot going on right now and there are a lot of people that are not speaking out, because they feel like they don't know what to say, or they're going to get it wrong, or they don't know enough. I'm here to tell you that's not good enough. It's not good enough to stay silent because you're not confident to speak up because you don't know enough to feel like you can contribute. You need to learn. You need to research and you need to find a way to be an active part of this movement. The Black Lives Matter movement is a marathon, not a sprint. Learn, grow, rest and then get back up again and continue with the fight.Today on the podcast I'm letting you into the audio version of a webinar we hosted for people who are really struggling with speaking up and speaking out right now and it was such an empowering conversation for everyone involved. We are one collective. We need everybody to come together and there is something that every single one of us can do. We don't need perfection. We need to let go of the opinion of others and trying to get it right, because we're not going to get it right. That's the whole point. We need to learn and support each other through this.If you want to watch the webinar please email us: [email protected] TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? The Making Of Madhavi: One of India’s most influential women
My love, I have a very special guest for you on the podcast today, Madhavi Shankar. I found her when I was looking through Ted Talks and came across a really interesting talk that she gave around gender bias and women's empowerment. Y'all know I'm all about the women's empowerment and I felt called to have Madhavi on the podcast to share her story. Madhavi is the real deal. She is the CEO and founder of Space Basic which is a networking app for student housing communities. She was voted as one of the top 60 women transforming India by the government of India as well as the United Nations. The thing that I loved about this conversation is hearing Madhavi talk about her upbringing and how supported she was by her parents to follow her dreams. Madhavi really hasn't struggled with self-doubt either. She found herself a really great female mentor who she could bounce ideas off of, and her family has been behind her through her journey. So this episode is especially for those of you out there that come from a culture where perhaps your gender predetermines what you can and can't do. You may feel trapped sometimes, or feel as if you cannot break tradition. Madhavi is proof that you can break the mould and do what you feel called to do.Where to Find Madhavi:Instagram: @MadhaviShankar @SpaceBasicAppLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/madhavishankar/Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/madhavishankar13Space Basic: http://www.spacebasic.comSpace Basic Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SpaceBasic/Twitter: @Madhavi_Shankar@SpaceBasicApp WAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Privilege Guilt vs Privilege Awareness
With everything that's going on right now in the USA around the murder of George Floyd, I have been feeling really heavy. So I decided to record an IGTV to address a lot of the comments, posts and conversations I was witnessing online. If you'd like to go and watch the IGTV, head to my Instagram. Listen stop feeling guilty for being privileged and start taking action to make some much needed change. I keep reading posts from people feeling sorry for their privilege. Feeling guilt and shame around their privilege and the way they grew up. Like, they don't know how to act, how to respond because of their privilege. My message to you is this: Don't be sorry or guilty about your privilege. It's not your fault that you grew up white, in the suburbs with lots of money. That's not your fault. Don't feel sorry about it, be AWARE of it and know that it IS your responsibility to learn what's going on in the world. Learn about those that have not grown up privileged and use your voice in a way that will help humanity. Don't stay silent. Racism needs to end and it starts with every one of us doing our part in this movement. 👑 Want to request a podcast? Have a question for me? Click here to request a podcast!👑 Loving this podcast? The worst advice we’ve been given
We're giving each other advice that we probably don't even realise is literally some of the worst advice that we can give each other. When you say, "Just be yourself", what does that actually mean? It means staying within the boundaries of who you currently are. Or maybe it freaks you out because you don't really know who you are. You think that you need to act a certain way, or be a certain thing because that's who you've always been, but ladies - that ain't serving you.You need to be open to evolving and changing constantly. It's totally fine to think of yourself as one thing, and then the next day, try something else. If you're happy, be happy. If you're sad, be sad. Let yourself be whoever you feel like being on any given day and roll with it. There is so much goodness to come when you're more open with yourself to just feel your feelings and be whatever you feel like being. Death Guilt
Recently it was the anniversary of my first husband, Jeo's death and I received some messages on Instagram from people that got me thinking about this idea of feeling "sad" when someone has passed away. Today on the podcast, Hamish and I chat about how we celebrate Jeo and why we don't like this "death guilt" mentality. Why is it that for the one day a year that we truly acknowledge someone's death there's this expectation that we need to be sad? This idea that we need to sit in suffering and mourn. We as a society really have not come to terms with death, yet we all end up passing on. That's a fact and it's unavoidable. Why do we feel the need to feel sad about someone passing on, instead of focusing on how they lived, what joy they brought to our lives and the impact that they had on those around them? So we want to remind you that you are allowed to not be sad on the anniversary of someone's death. The last thing that they would want is for you to be sit in suffering because you feel like you "have to" or that you "should". Create your own rituals around remembering them, acknowledge their existence and feel however you want to feel about it. COVID: How To Speak Your Truth
I've been getting messages lately from people who are concerned that they've been copping flack for expressing their opinions on social media. Whatever the topic is, it doesn't matter but certainly right now in the time of COVID it's really being highlighted how different our views can be. My love, I need you to understand that's okay. We're not all supposed to agree. We've all come to our own conclusions in our own unique way.Remember that your social media is your place and you are entitled to share what you want on your own page. I'm not saying you should go and be a jerk. Be nice. Be kind. Just understand that not everyone is going to agree with you and that's normal. Don't hide yourself away because you feel like you'll lose followers. Girl, if you lose followers that's a GOOD thing. The people that connect with you will stay and you'll be creating a safer space for each other. Don't troll y'all. Don't waste your time arguing with people you don't know on social media. Just block, delete and move on. It's not worth it.WAYS TO WORK WITH ME:Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahood Learn how to Conquer Social Media through my new Confidently Conquering Social Media Courseđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Today I have a very special guest. She is not only a dear friend but is a boss woman with so many skills it is ridiculous, Lina Escamilla. Lina lives in South America and is a business coach with an incredible story of resilience and tapping into her authentic power. We met on a business summit that Lina was hosting and there was an instant connection. Lina pours her heart and soul into everything she does. Why you can’t binge on personal development. Q&A Tuesday
Can you consume too much personal development information? The answer is basically no, but it's more involved than that. The issue is whether you take ACTION on what you're consuming. If you're not taking action on what you're consuming, you're not really doing anything. You're just taking in a bunch of info that you don't do anything with. That's what I'm breaking down today. As I mentioned in the episode, try to focus on one area of your life that's really messing with you right now and take ACTION to improve in that area. You can't address everything all at once, but if you break it down into smaller parts, you're more likely to get the results you're looking for.If you would like to leave me a voicemail and have a chance to be featured on The Confidence Chronicles Podcast, head to the podcast page of my website and go right ahead! Biz Series – Is it time to sack your mentor?
As you may know, my husband and I used to be in a cult. The guy who ran it was a business coach and we were in his program for two years. It was full on and as much as we learned a lot and it was incredible in hindsight, the values of this man and the narcissistic behaviour were huge red flags that we didn't see at the time. We were allowing his values to take over us and when we finally got it, we realised how far out of alignment we were with this guy.So I'm talking directly to my business ladies out there today. Maybe you already have a coach, maybe you're looking for one, but the question I need you to ask yourself is, "Do they align with who I am, or who I am aspiring to be." If the answer is, "no" then you've got to get the hell out of there.Visit my website for all the ways you can work with me online right now UPCOMING VIRTUAL EVENT:Power Couples Masterclass with Erika & Hamish - May 16th, 2020Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahoodđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? My mother’s perspective: reuniting with my dad
Y'all it's almost Mother's Day, and I wanted to share with you a really special conversation that I had with my mum at the end of last year. This was just after my father had flown back to Peurto Rico after being in Australia with us for Christmas. I had not seen him in 20 years and I flew him out for the first time ever. My mum had not seen him in 25 years. It was a big fucking deal and there were a lot of emotions. So I wanted to talk to my mum about how she felt about reuniting with him after so many years, and how her thoughts about him may have changed. I hope you enjoy!Go back and listen to my previous episode: Reuniting with my dad after 20 years to get the full picture.Visit my website for all the ways you can work with me online right now UPCOMING VIRTUAL EVENT:Power Couples Masterclass with Erika & Hamish - May 16th, 2020Join my online coaching program for women - the Sistahoodđź‘‘ Want to request a podcast? Sex and Body Image – Q&A Tuesday
I received a great question via my website for our Q&A today ladies! The question was this: How to not let your own insecurities about your body interfere with your sex life with your partner when they have a better physique than you do. How do you not let your feelings of low self-esteem or low self-worth cock-block you from having the intimate relationship that you want to have?I did a podcast on this topic a little while ago "Why You Need To Love Your Body TODAY" so first of all, go and listen to that episode after this one. When we don't feel comfortable in our own bodies, we lack confidence in our own body, you better believe we show up in the world like that. We wear the baggy clothes, we hide ourselves away and we don't own the body that we currently have. We don't talk to our partners about it either. We just assume that they don't want to have sex with us, they don't want to be intimate with us, but where is that coming from? That's your own dialogue my love.
