How to Turn ChatGPT into your Personal Marketing Assistant with Alex Beyers

Imagine having a personal assistant who’s available 24/7, helping you generate marketing content, manage your schedule, and brainstorm new ideas—all without costing you a cent. That's what happened to Alex Beyers when she started using ChatGPT to run her business. At first, she approached it with caution, but before long, ChatGPT became her secret weapon for creating high-quality content at lightning speed. If you’re like many business owners who’ve tried ChatGPT and thought, “This is garbage,” you’re not alone. But the key, as Alex explains, lies in how you use it.Rather than treating ChatGPT like a robot that can magically solve all your problems, think of it as a new team member that needs training. It’s not just about getting it to create content, but about making it sound like your content. This is where most people get stuck—they skip the crucial step of training ChatGPT to understand their business, brand voice, and unique selling points. Think of it like hiring a new VA: if you don’t provide context, you’ll only get generic results. To learn more about how Alex uses ChatGPT to streamline her business and to hear all the in-depth tips she shared, tune in to the full episode of The Business Edit podcast. 4 Must Haves to Simplify your Life

Simple living is trending, and it's easy to see why. The idea of slowing down and living a simple life is dreamy. Pair that dream with the aesthetic homesteading, sourdough, and morning routine content on Instagram and we're all saying, "sign me up for that"! But if so many of us crave a slow and simple life, why aren't more of us making it happen? When you think of simplifying your life, you might imagine living off grid, wearing floral maxi dresses, or becoming a "trad wife." But simplicity doesn’t have to look like a Pinterest-worthy kitchen or making all your food from scratch. It’s about two key principles:Systemizing What’s Most Important: This means setting up systems for your personal health, relationships, home, and business so it doesn’t feel hard or complicated to show up for your daily life.Living at a Human Pace: It’s about enjoying your daily life in the season you’re in, not rushing through it constantly waiting for the “next season.”In this episode, I'm breaking down 4 must haves for simplifying your life, and how to make this hard, but worthwhile, lifestyle goal a reality. Opting Out of Default Living: The Ultimate Form of Self Care

Are you even aware of all the ways that you're living your life by default? There's this thing called the "default effect" that shows us that we're more likely to choose options that are given to us as the default choices. And it makes sense, right?! Decision fatigue is real and we make around 35,000 decisions each day. Who can blame us for wanting to not think about a decision and go with the default option every now and then? But here's where default living becomes a problem... the decisions that are given to us as the default are not always aligned to the type of life or business that we want to build. And when we live too much of our lives by default, we start to feel the effects of living a bland life that doesn't light us up. In this episode, I'm sharing what it could look like for you to opt out of default living and live more intentionally, starting with three default decisions that I see many women opting into (and that are making them miserable). Press play to opt out, live differently, and gain the encouragement you need to make tough decisions that are more aligned to your ideal life.SHOW NOTES: jadeboyd.co/opting-out-of-default-livingLINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Ep. 043: Simplify your Life with Categorical Decision MakingSimplify your Life MembershipThe Business Edit™ Coaching Program CONNECT WITH JADEWebsiteInstagramJoin My Email List LEVEL UP YOUR BUSINESS + PRODUCTIVITYOrganize your Business Digital CourseThe Business Edit™ Coaching ProgramFREE RESOURCESFREE Double your Profit While Working Less MasterclassFREE Task Batching WorkbookFREE Weekly Review ChecklistThe Business Minimalist Blueprint WorkbookThe Business Minimalist Podcast Archive

Do Less By Knowing yourself More ft. Rhannon Janke

As business owners, it's easy to fall into the endless learning cycle, where we're depending on someone else to give us the answer. How to Find Clarity when You're Spinning in Indecision

This week, I'm bringing you a special conversation with my friend Haley Thomas from the Passion Pursuit Podcast. You may remember Haley from episode 021, where she brought her expertise on building out a retreat offer to the podcast. Recently, I sat down with Haley to talk about ways that you can find clarity when you're spinning in indecision. If you find yourself overthinking things, spending too much time analyzing your choices, or just feeling stuck, this episode is for you. As a recovering perfectionist, and someone who loves data, I've learned the hard way that spinning in indecision is not productive. It's better to make the wrong decision quickly (and learn from it quickly) than to waste time trying to come up with the perfect solution. Plan a Productive Week in 5 Minutes or Less

What comes to mind when you think of a 'weekly planning routine'? Do you envision someone sitting down in a quiet space for an hour, thoughtfully detailing a minute by minute plan for their entire week? Don't get me wrong, I love a good extended planning session, but week to week, that's just not realistic for most women. And the good news is you can become a really effective planner, even if you only have 5 minutes in between meetings, naps, or errands. When you enter your week with a clear plan in place, you eliminate a lot of unnecessary stress, set yourself up to focus on what actually matters in your business, and put yourself back in the drivers seat of your life. In this episode, I'm going to walk you step-by-step through my weekly planning routine, and what it actually takes to be able to plan a productive week in 5 minutes or less!SHOW NOTES: jadeboyd.co/plan-a-productive-week-in-5-minutes-or-lessLINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Free Task Batching WorkbookFree CEO Day ChecklistOrganize your Business Course CONNECT WITH JADEWebsiteInstagramJoin My Email List LEVEL UP YOUR BUSINESS + PRODUCTIVITYOrganize your Business Digital CourseThe Business Edit™ Coaching ProgramFREE RESOURCESFREE Double your Profit While Working Less MasterclassFREE Task Batching WorkbookFREE Weekly Review ChecklistThe Business Minimalist Blueprint WorkbookThe Business Minimalist Podcast ArchiveMentioned in this episode:Join Me Inside the Business Edit Group Coaching Program Today! The Business Edit is a 12-month group coaching program for overwhelmed service providers who want to simplify and scale their business so they can earn more while working less. "Am I ready to scale my business?" This is a question I get a lot because there are so many misconceptions about what it takes to scale a business. Unpopular Opinion: The Harder you Work the Less you Make

I grew up on a farm in the midwest, so I'm very familiar with the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" mentality, and I don't shy away from doing work that's hard. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, we do not live in the time economy anymore. In the time economy, the more hours you put in, the more money you make. This was the height of the industrial revolution and where we got the lovely 40 hour work week. But now, we live in a knowledge economy, where it doesn't matter how many hours you work. You get paid for the value that you bring to the table, and this is true for many 9-5 jobs but also for freelancers and service providers. And yet, so many of us still fall into the trap of believing that in order to reach our goals, business or otherwise, we better work hard or else. It seems almost sacrilegious to say that working hard isn't something to be valued since our society puts so much emphasis on it, but there will come a point in your business or really any area of your life where working harder won't help you get better results. Everything has a tipping point, and the law of diminishing returns applies to this situation as well.I don't think we stop often enough to ask ourselves, "how could this be easier?" because we assume and prematurely accept that it's going to be hard. And today, I want to share why I believe that working hard won't help you make more money in your business as a service provider. In fact, I strongly believe that the least effort your business requires of you, the more successful you'll ultimately be. It seems counterintuitive at first, but I hope to change your mind!SHOW NOTES: jadeboyd.co/the-harder-you-work-the-less-you-make/LINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Episode 19: Is the 40 Hour Work Week Really Productive?Effortless, by Greg McKeownEpisode 66: Are Your Services Priced to Scale?Episode 34: How to Align your Business to your Strengths with Arica Ohloff CONNECT WITH JADEWebsiteInstagramJoin My Email List LEVEL UP YOUR BUSINESS + PRODUCTIVITYOrganize your Business Digital CourseThe Business Edit™ Coaching ProgramFREE RESOURCESFREE Double your Profit While Working Less MasterclassFREE Task Batching WorkbookFREE Weekly Review...

How I Deal with Stress and Anxiety as a Business Owner

I recently read that as many as one in three entrepreneurs struggle with depression and burnout and 95% of entrepreneurs are unsure of how to achieve a healthy work-life balance. Here's why this is so important: when we don't manage and address stress in our life, it will inevitably lead to burnout. You can't sweep your stress under the rug and hope it goes away. The Quarterly Business Reset: How to Reach your Annual Business Goals Faster

One of the reasons why I think so many business owners struggle to hit their annual goals is because they don't take the time to break them down into bite-sized chunks. At the beginning of the year, they get excited and motivated and create the big pretty map, but then they shove it in a drawer and don't take it out because actually taking action on those goals feels overwhelming. This is why I'm so passionate about quarterly planning. Focussing one one quarter at a time can help you break down your big goals into more managable bite-sized chunks and be more realistic about what you actually have time to do during the next 90 days. It also eliminates the procrastination trap that many business owners fall into when they're constantly reassessing what they should be focussed on each month, week, or day. If you look at a huge list of projects and goals every day, it can feel absolutely paralyzing. It makes it easier to say, "I'll get to that later, there's plenty of time." But in reality, the only way to make progress on your goals is one tiny baby step at a time. If you can separate deciding what to do from the time and place you actually do those things, it will be easier for you to slide into execution mode, stop overthinking things, and just get things done.Today, I'm sharing a simple 5-step process that you can use each and every quarter to have a mini business reset and get clear on the projects and tasks you need to prioritize to reach your business goals.SHOW NOTES: jadeboyd.co/how-to-reach-your-annual-business-goals-faster/ LINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Quarterly Business ResetMy Printable Wall Calendars CONNECT WITH JADEWebsiteInstagramJoin My Email List LEVEL UP YOUR BUSINESS + PRODUCTIVITYOrganize your Business Digital CourseThe Business Edit™ Coaching ProgramFREE RESOURCESFREE Double your Profit While Working Less MasterclassFREE Task Batching WorkbookFREE Weekly Review ChecklistThe Business Minimalist Blueprint WorkbookThe Business Minimalist Podcast ArchiveMentioned in this episode:Download the CEO Day ChecklistDownload the free CEO Day Checklist at https://www.jadeboyd.co/ceoday.

Build your Business off Social Media and Do THIS Instead

One of my top five strengths is "Learner", and I love learning about business and marketing. Recently the YouTube algorithm served up a video about building your sales funnel, and I clicked to watch. Here's something you may not know about me... I'm easily overwhelmed, despite being crazy organized. The reason why I've been so intentional with creating routines and systems for myself and my business is because my tolerance for chaos is... below average. When it comes to eliminating overwhelm in your life, complexity is a major culprit, especially for busy women managing a business, home, and family! Complexity is the archenemy of productivity that makes everything more frustrating and time-consuming.So today, we're talking about the power of simplicity in businesses. Simple businesses win —they make faster progress and are more strategic. It's far more effective (and less overwhelming) to simplify and streamline instead of trying to juggle a million things at once. Throughout this episode, I'll share why simple businesses drive more profit and highlight areas where complexity might be sabotaging your business success. Most business owners I encounter have inadvertently complicated their businesses, making hitting goals an overwhelming and daunting task. My goal? To help them establish straightforward structures that align with their goals, eliminate the overwhelm, and make executing easy. Simplicity creates consistency, and consistency is the key to generating results e.g. profit in your business.
