After definition, I will be focussing on deriving a formula for the same and very efficiently will accomplish it. You can actually calculate t1/2 of a drug by knowing parameters like Clearance and Volume of distribution. Next I will be talking about differences regarding first order and second order elimination kinetics. Then I will be covering topics like "Repeated drug administration", "Steady state plasma concentration" and "Plateau principle" in depth of conversation. To brush up, a few concepts will be listed, and then and there I will wrap it all for the day, making episodes lengthy is simply testing the comprehension capacity of mind which shouldn't be exhausted! With the idea of covering a couple of few more episodes in the same stream of topic, I will wave a bye! Is Pharmacology Difficult Podcast FACTORS AFFECTING BIOTRANSFORMATION OF DRUGS

Welcome all to IS PHARMACOLOGY DIFFICULT Podcast! I am Dr Radhika Vijay.Let us be quite very truly, genuinely be thoughtful, in deepest mindset very thankful to lord for the blessings countable and easily experienced as cool showers amongst hot humid weathers! The trendy topic for a thankful Thursday is knowledge of factors affecting drug metabolism or drug biotransformation. The most important ones are age, genetic variations, diet, food, nutrition components , drug interactions and pathological states. While not much of great importance are the factors like sex, race, species etc. though I have given examples of animal models for these too, but primarily keep the above points in mind as they form the pillar factors causing sea changes in biotransformation or  metabolism for lot many drugs! With this set of factors, we officially finish the discussions about drug metabolism or drug biotransformation and our jet plane heads while soaring high in sky towards the last pillar of pharmacokinetics i.e. Drug Elimination, Wow! the News is that from next episode we gonna begin Kinetics of Drug Elimination!! For all the updates and latest episodes of my podcast, please visit www.ispharmacologydifficult.com where you can also sign up for a free monthly newsletter of mine. Then I will shift this talk head towards the branches of Active Transport i.e. first and foremost "Primary Active Transport". In this I will be explaining the mechanism, the associated features, terms, etc. and finally as the time demands fading shades of my discussion sounds, I will be giving examples, all these wrapped up as bullet points. Then in a second I will be giving my thoughts of not spilling the carrier transport pudding leftovers further, rather will be saving these for our next virtual meet up. With a great shiny hope of seeing ya'all again very soon to sit and chat be the sides of the virtual round table decorated with books, cakes and coffee, it will be the final word of day to wind all , Bbyee!! For all the updates and latest episodes of my podcast, please visit www.ispharmacologydifficult.com where you can also sign up for a free monthly newsletter of mine. Is Pharmacology Difficult Podcast CARRIER TRANSPORT-FACILITATED DIFFUSION

Welcome all to IS PHARMACOLOGY DIFFICULT Podcast! I am Dr Radhika Vijay.Today is the weekend special topic, its all about different variants of specialised transport mechanisms. Broadly they may be of two types, the carrier mediated transport and  vesicular transport. First and foremost , as I talk about carrier mediated transport, under this head, today we gonna chat regarding Facilitated Diffusion. It has special characters which I will highlight and eventually summarize after a warm French welcome, just short enough to jingle your earbuds. Discussing the mechanism, pros and cons, examples and all tits bits of this type of diffusion, even a graphical representation will be told, all in all completely describing the facilitated diffusion, I will be keeping my conversation comparatively short for the day, wishing you all a great blessed weekend, in French too, and will be vocally departing till we talk back in next episode!!For all the updates and latest episodes of my podcast, please visit www.ispharmacologydifficult.com where you can also sign up for a free monthly newsletter of mine. Is Pharmacology Difficult Podcast MONOCLONAL ANTIBODIES AS DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM

Welcome all to IS PHARMACOLOGY DIFFICULT Podcast! I am Dr Radhika Vijay. How do monoclonal antibodies behave as drug carriers? How are they named so uniquely? In today's episode I will be discussing all this mechanics. Monoclonal antibodies are an important drug delivery system, how the are structured in a very special unique way will be discussed first, then I will be throwing light on different epitopes, the Hybridoma technique to structure these products. It will tell you how murine and human parts and gene materials are fused and manipulated to make these desired antibodies. There is a role of genetic DNA technology and grafting techniques etc. After explaining little complicated structural details, I will jump to the naming technique of Monoclonal antibodies. There is a "mab" in the end part in name of any monoclonal antibody, just before "mab", letter is prefixed to tell the source of antibody, and before this letter, a letter or set of letters is placed to tell the therapeutic use. of antibody. All these will be complemented with suitable examples so that there is no space of confusion, doubts and queries in your mindset, got it. Finally, with my views on essence of good conversations, good sleep and the quality of being interested in right and valuable thins in life, I will be putting a fullstop to my talks for the day, hope you all like it and derive the maximum benefit out of this day's chat.... For all the updates and latest episodes of my podcast, please visit www.ispharmacologydifficult.com where you can also sign up for a free monthly newsletter of mine.
