Originally Aired: October 8, 2020
Feeling ALONE in your journey with mental health?
Brittany Snow knows how you feel. She's been open about her mental health journey, but acknowledges it was someone else's story that helped carry her out of her own darkness. Having been on both sides of it, Brittany realized something powerful: sharing your mental health journey may be the ticket to rescuing someone else from their struggles.
Out of that realization, #SeptemberLetters was born, thanks to help of her creative partner and co-founder of September Letters, Jaspre Guest. September Letters is an online community to share your stories about mental health, publicly or anonymously, so NONE of us feel so alone. We are all here to help one another, because we are #BetterTogether.

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 21: How to Fight Enemies, Get Off Merry Go Rounds and Anticipate in Business
Hey regular guys and gals, we fooled em again and made it through another week and to another edition of Regular Guy Friday. Kelsey is reminded you can never go home and how getting off life's merry go round is uncomfortable to you and to others on the ride as well. Sometimes when you help fulfill people's needs, they use the free time to create new needs, then expect you to fulfill them AND be angry when you don't. OUCH. You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you. Responding to put downs and verbal insults is hard for those not programmed to give them. The difference between rest and vacation and why the former is more important when pursuing dreams. Life and business is about awareness and anticipation which most Regular Guys and Gals don't know.. however, when Regular Guys and Gals learn and apply this, the results are extraordinary. Regular People can win - even in Hollywood. Big Sister Friday inches closer to taking the Regular Guy Friday spot. That's okay. It gives Regular Guys and Gals more time to prepare for Christmas. We are 6 months away from the holidays! Happy Leon Day and Bye Betches.

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 20: Tools to Combat Narcissists, Proximity, Intention & Forgiveness vs. Reconciliation
HAPPY 20TH EP KWEENZ!!!! We fooled em again!! We Regular Guys and Gals made it through another week where we discovered two valuable, if only, tools when being forced to deal with narcissists and criminals. Hero or villain? The narcissist external narrative has them portrayed as either or and nothing else. You still can never go home in life BUT it can be positive reinforcement when you do. Forgiveness vs. Reconciliation. Forgiveness always creates light, but the same cannot always be said of Reconciliation. Discerning the non reconcilable and the reconcilable and the healthy means to approach the latter. The underrated power of intention in ALL actions and perhaps the most underrated tools in growth, success and fulfillment. Regular Guy Friday to be permanently pre-empted in favor of Big Sister Friday which doesn't matter because we will always be Kweenz. Bye Betches has even more meaning when you say it twice.

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 19: Tale of Lobster Boy, Vampires and Mini Monsters Around Us + Their Toxic Effects
Hay Kweenz we fooled ‘em again!! It’s another edition of Regular Guy Friday, this week Kev and Kelsey bring you the wild tale of Kev’s past 90s adventures with “Grady ‘Lobster Boy’ Styles!!” The discussion leads to talks about the sociopaths, vampires and little monsters all around us, and the serious tole they take on our individual wellbeing. Kels shares her own personal adventures with mini monsters, upper endoscopies and the fun of anesthesia. Kelsey then reads a powerful passage by @Chimamanda_Adichie with regards to narcissism and behaviors today, and the duo discuss how it’s an inditement of all vs one generation, and how the passage should be used as a tool for all of us to self evaluate and improve..."what I find increasingly troubling: a cold-blooded grasping, a hunger to take and take and take, but never give; a massive sense of entitlement; an inability to show gratitude..." OUCH! Heavy and powerful stuff. BUT we of course end the episode reminding ourselves and everyone else that we are all still Kweens and how summer can be your moment to reset, pause or just blow steam: just be aware of whatever option you choose. 285. GaryVee on His Secret To Success, Avoiding Self-Sabotage, and the Jets vs. Patriots
Originally Aired: September 10, 2020
You've seen his videos, you know his voice, and chances are he's helped you CRUSH IT in your own life...
There's a reason everyone knows @GaryVee! He is one of the most popular and respected media gurus and online personalities in the world, and he practices what he preaches.
GaryVee has built multiple companies, brands, and perhaps most impressively a community of millions of followers who look to him for wisdom about self-esteem, achieving our goals, and as he says: CRUSHING IT.
As the CEO of VaynerX media, Gary has consulted with companies like Chase, Toyota, and Craft to teach them how to survive and thrive in a digital world, and his corporate advice can help you too.
But Gary is more than just a sharp media mind. He's a humble Russian immigrant who admits in today's conversation that his biggest fear isn't failure, or backpedaling, it's the fear of creating hurdles in his own life to prevent him from moving forward. More than money, fame, or success, Gary values freedom, and he says it's been the single biggest asset to building his companies.
Also, for you sports fans, Gary and I go AT IT on the show in a Jets v. Patriots showdown. I HOPE we're still friends after that one…

YouTube: https://youtu.be/Gdl0u3XHbCk
Originally Aired: July 13, 2020
Feeling like you've hit your rock bottom? 3-Time NYT Bestselling author @GlennonDoyle can relate.
After a severe alcohol addiction, a crippling fight w/ bulimia, and a broken marriage, she's reinvigorated herself with yet another lauded book "UNTAMED" - where she teaches women everywhere including me, how to finally listen to that inner voice and chase the life we actually want to live. There's a reason Oprah Winfrey is producing a scripted film based on her life.
Glennon believes that women are tamed to shrink and disappear, rather than embrace the wild, beautiful lives that live inside each and every one us. Really, her message is simple: "Disappoint as many people as you can to avoid disappointing yourself."

YouTube: https://youtu.be/dvIsEDeubxw
Originally Aired: September 3, 2020
Tired of being told you’re ‘to this’ or ‘too that’? Feeling outcast, like you’re never accepted or enough?
Well Sah D'Simone is here to tell you to FORGET THAT. The author and spiritual activist passionate about the message of authenticity and self acceptance, created a space where everyone is welcomed, loved and appreciated for who they are. But Sah had his own journey to acceptance. After being ousted from the company he helped build, Sah began his spiritual voyage, traveling to India and Nepal to study under, among others, the Dalai Lama, and he's never been the same since.
Now, Sah is a beloved author and TED speaker whose #SpirituallySassy community is committed to inclusion and authenticity above all else, even in spaces that don't always welcome it with open arms. As a queer Brazilian immigrant, Sah noticed that many of the "tables" that preach inclusion didn't have a seat for him, so as he puts it, "he created his own table!”
Sah says that #forgiveness is the secret sauce to presence and has three pillars - forgiving yourself, forgiving those who have unintentionally harmed you, and even forgiving those who have gone out of their way to cause you harm.
Sah's undeniable charisma and beautiful heart & spirit make him a rising star in the world of empowerment spirituality - he’s amazing, such a big Sah fan.

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 18: The Regular Guys (and Gals) Guide to Reset
Hay Kweenz, we fooled em again. We Regular Guys and Gals made it through another week! The duo discuss post-pandemic 'reset'. And on that note: trauma leaves you in all or nothing state. Divorce your story and own your positive truth. Leaders anticipate, losers react and winners respond. Life is a dance between desire and fear and complexity is the enemy of execution. Self-limiting beliefs turn into habits. Judge someone and surrender the ability to influence them. Don't stay in what you did. Don't view past with regret and future with fear. The end does not justify the means because the means becomes the end. Affirmation without discipline is a dangerous illusion. And while we need judgement detox, there IS a difference between judgement and being measured. We who don't want to be measured, don't want to be accountable. Yikes. New improvements for 'Better Together' when Maria returns to the starting line up. Kev bumps into billboard icon, Angelyne, in LA while Kels gets hit on three times in Boston. Seltzer alcohol drinks are the new nectar of Kweenz. And Kels ending the show by butchering the Kweenz tongue with a 'Bye Bi-tches', in favor of the accepted annunciation, 'Bye BETCHES' has us judging her and proving, once again, we Regular Guys and Gals have SO much more work to do. Bye Betches....

Originally Aired: September 22, 2020
Feeling stuck? Like you're in a rut and can't seem to find a way out? You most likely need to shift your beliefs and focus...
Dean Graziosi, who you've probably seen on TV, YouTube, social media, or at a @TonyRobbins seminar, is one of the world's most celebrated self-learning experts, and today he helped us realize we ALL need to shift our beliefs and focus if we want to feel good & succeed.
When you put Dean on a mic, his wisdom is apparent and immediate. Today, he discussed how this pandemic can be an opportunity for us, why the pain of inaction can move us to make real changes, and why we feel most alive when we shift towards uncomfortable, imperfect, courageous action.
Dean also has incredible advice about our access to free knowledge and education, and for those of you struggling with decisions about whether you (or your kids) should go to college, he'll have thoughts for you.
Everyone NEEDS to hear this episode. I don't just say this because he's my friend, the proof is in the pudding(!!) Dean is one of the best and he can help us all change our lives by changing our minds.

Perfectionism is the procrastinator's way to be successful. The past doesn't define you, only the present. Love family and friends but choose your peer group. It's not lack of resources, it's lack of being resourceful. Victim mindset gives you love and attention....at first. The brain is always trying to prove itself right. Celebrity Doula, Lifestyle Guru, Mama Glow Founder and Oprah Super Soul 100 member, Latham Thomas, sat in with the Heal Squad for a two parter. Here in part two, Latham discusses how to achieve mindfulness, morning rituals and breathing. Then she got serious! We learned how fences keep good neighbors, external messages that turn us away from ourselves and becoming our own masters. We learn why bubble baths and mommy juice (wine) may not be enough for true acts of self care. Most importantly, perhaps, we learned about 'callings' in life. How do we find our callings and purpose? How passion may differ from calling. How fulfillment comes from answering our calling and how answering that calling may not always be fun or easy. 274. Maria Menounos’s 1st Time Opening Up After Mom’s Passing; Talks Caretaking & Her Grieving Process
YouTube: https://youtu.be/rOvbXo3wH00
Our fearless leader Maria returns to open up about her mother Litsa's passing for the first time. In this emotional episode, we learn about Maria’s journey of caregiving, grief and self-growth. Maria discusses her own health issues as well as her intervention from none other than Heal Squad friend, Gabby Bernstein.
Like many caregivers, Maria not only tirelessly grinded day and night to make Litsa as comfortable as possible, but also never slowed down her work schedule, leading to health issues of her own. Only recently did she have the life-changing revelation that she was a gas tank running on empty. So, under the strict instruction of her friend Gabby Bernstein, Maria shares the importance of taking mental health breaks, standing your ground when working with other caretakers, accepting God's plans, coming to peace with death, and understanding that there is no right way to mourn. Maria opens up about trusting your instincts, even when medical professionals tell you otherwise. Maria also shares a lesson that brought her immense peace: the soul is eternal and ever-present and therefore, even those who have passed will always be with you. Maria discusses her gratitude to this show's audience for standing by her and the show as well as what the future may hold.
Whether you have lost a loved one, are losing one, or just want to be there one day someone you love does fall terminally ill, this is an episode you do not want to miss.

273. How To Grieve and Help Others Who Are Grieving
YouTube: https://youtu.be/ckZ39IHoQmo
Author and founder of Grief.com, David Kessler sat in with the Heal Squad to discuss a subject familiar to all of us: grief. David discusses the importance of finding meaning in passages, and in grief, to help cope. He also shares there is no means to fix grief because grief is not something that is broken. He also discusses the things to say and do when helping others cope and how anger is pain's bodyguard and what to do with anger. The notion we have become 'judgement machines' is covered, as is the very real concept of afterlife and why people on deathbeds see loved ones who have passed.

272. Psychic Jae Rae on What to Expect During The May 2021 Supermoon and How To Prepare For It
YouTube: https://youtu.be/TN_L8RzlY3M
Clairvoyant and psychic to the stars, Jae Rae, sat in with the Heal Squad for the second half of our two part interview. Jae Rae shares the recipe for disaster in looking to others to find our own happiness. She explains 'Destination Happiness', how many of us buy into it and the MANY pitfalls involved when doing so. We learn about not stepping into other people's karmas and, often, our trying to help and fix people is only interrupting their life lessons. Instead of being a victim post dilemmas and bad news, realize there is a lesson the universe wants you to learn. Find that lesson and apply it. The first 4 minutes of your day can affect whether you're going to have a good one or bad one. Bad news finds you fast and if someone isn't in jail or dead and hasn't called you, then they don't want to talk to you. Replace the word anger with fire, the arts lift us all, supermoons and crazier days are coming and after that: fun and harmony. Yes, Heal Squad the great Jae Rae always delivers and then some.

Jae Rae opens up about her own journey: her father's heroin addiction and why his own psychic gifts led him to succumb to said addiction. She discusses how dark entities can enter our bodies and what we can do to thwart them as well as how dark individuals, generally, either avoid her OR attempt to glom off her power.

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 15: NEVER Interfere in Other's Lessons, Try to Go Home or Deny Being a Kween
Hey Kweenz! Happy Regular Guy (& Girl) Friday. We fooled 'em again - made it through another week. Kev and Kels were joined by new Gen Z staff member, Pooja, to cover the usual array of topics. An impromptu "Kween and Greet' is proposed for this Saturday Night up in Boston. A startling 'Krisis of Kweenz' ensued where Kev revealed how him being a Kween was recently called into question. Pooja relayed new, Gen Z vocab terms to maintain your inner Kween: Gas, Choogey, Cap....Soggy, Krisp. Kels went deeper on how to salute with 'bunny ears.' The trio also talked about a ghost (Kev's dad) visiting an interview they did this week. When the subject came up, we kid you not, a sign mysteriously fell in the studio. Is Kev's Dad a Regular Guy Friday fan, too? The first few minutes of the morning dictate your happiness. Steve McGarret from the original Hawaii Five O a fine model but only to a degree. 20th century vs. 21st century work practices. College graduation is something to grieve but not fear. Grief is something all are entitled to BUT with grief should come perspective. 'Post-Prom' events should be a thing for the classes of 2020 and 2021. There's advice for college graduates entering this wonky employment environment. You can NEVER go home yet many of us spend our lives trying to 'go home' like addicts chasing their first great high. Do not interfere with others' lessons or karma. And while Pooja proved she can school Kev and Kels on many of the kewl Kween lingo of the day, she signed off with a Bye "BITCHES." Luckily, Kels made the save, reminding her that it's 'Bye BETCHES!' before asking for more itunes comments and then leaving us all on a cliffhanger: will there be a Boston Kween and Greet Saturday night? Hmmmm. BYE BETCHES!!!

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 14: The Art of 'Non Negotiation' and Being Krisp
Hay Kweenz! We did it again. We Regular Guys and Gals made it to another Friday to discuss the usual variety of important and not so important topics. This week's RGF included discussion on seeing friends differently when you begin to evolve and other challenges involved. Kev shared a spark-note therapy session and formula to apply to 'said friends.' Winston Churchill taught us how we negotiate with others when we don't even know it and they do! The tale of the scorpion and frog came up as Kev and Kels bantered about those who just can't help but be who they are (scorpions) and how to be aware of the scorpions lurking in our own lives. Kelsey discussed acupuncture and seeing light. Just when it seemed like smooth sailing, Kelsey confessed to creating the term 'bish' (short for bitch) which horrified Kev who reminded us of 'Kweenz Rules' and the amendment that Kweenz don't lead, they follow! Kels recovered by offering a new, popular Kween term and re-taught us about snapping, roses, thorns and bunny ears. Kev discussed what being 'Krisp' means and how popular the term is with the kids on IG. The two debated the need for adding a Gen Z Kween to RGF to help them with Kween speak updates as well as an expert in Kween studies, overall. Exacerbated, Kev revealed he only has two RGF shows left of content in him and how moving to Vegas to drink oneself to oblivion may not be the worst option. Yes, it was one of the most relevant, clear and important RGF episodes to date and no, Kels and Kev did NOT screw up their sign off: Bye Betches.

YouTube: https://youtu.be/DJYcQQG-R9s
On today’s episode, Keven, Kelsey, and our new team member Pooja discuss the role reversal that occurs when the child begins to look after the parent. Both Maria and Keven have experienced this first hand, having taken care of their own ailing parents. Though, their cases are not unique and at one point or another, most of us will have to take on the role of caretaker. However, as Keven reminds us, those that have good, loving parents have a responsibility to be there for them, especially in times of need. And lastly, if you are lucky enough to still have your parents around, show them some love. Call them, give them a hug, or do anything that shows your parents that you appreciate everything they do.

265. How to Live a More Effortless Life w/ NYT Bestselling Author Greg McKeown
YouTube: https://youtu.be/11oCYuAZasQ
Greg McKeown, New York Times Bestselling author of Essentialism, sat down with the #HealSquad to discuss his new book, Effortless: Make It Easier to Do What Matters Most. Greg taught us how overthinking leads to clutter and less mental energy, and emphasized that we must declutter our brains. We discussed burnout and how there are only two types of people in the world right now, those who are burnt out and those who acknowledge they are burnt out. Greg gives us tools on how to spot burnout and teaches us that past a certain point, working harder leads to negative results...it’s not worth the burnout. We learned that through journaling, making our chores fun and giving them purpose, being more present and CHOOSING to take the lighter vs the heaver path we can all start to live a more effortless life. Greg teaches us that instead of saying “how can I work harder to get better results?” say “how can I achieve better results by making it more effortless?” We also discuss the power of having the ‘courage to be rubbish’ or not being held down by perfectionism, which is crucial to living more effortlessly.
Greg had so many incredible lessons and life hacks we had to make it a two-part episode. So please enjoy part two!

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 13: Formula for Thriving While in Limbo
HAAYYYYY KWEENZ!! That’s right…we made it…it’s FRIYAY aka YOUR day! It’s definitely not been an easy week for Kev and Kels, but connecting with fellow Regular Guys and Gals always makes it better. This episode is VERY important as Kelsey teaches us some new, and dare we say, vital Kween lingo: words, hand gestures, head movements and all. Yass Kween. Kev updates us on the passing of his mother-in-law, reminding us about how funerals are for the living. Losers love limbo but sometimes winners are forced into limbo. Kev relays his proven daily formula to making limbo work for you. Kev's limbo process led him to a cemetery and a gravesite marked 'Mr. Christmas.' Hmmmmm. It all makes sense when you hear the story. Unfortunately we failed you all and didn’t end the show with ‘byeeee beeetches’ but will you all give us a pass this week? LOVE U KWEENZ.

261. Lala Kent on Motherhood, Abortion, and Changing Her Name
YouTube: https://youtu.be/hh4AvdT_JU0
Vanderpump Rules fan favorite, Lala Kent sat in with the Heal Squad to discuss her new book, Give Them Lala. The book, which she dedicated to “those courageous enough to be themselves” is a raw and vulnerable look into her life - from her younger years to now. Born Lauren Burningham in Salt Lake City, Utah, this talented girl always had big dreams. Even though she was constantly picked on and bullied throughout adolescence, Lauren didn’t let that deter her from her end goal - to be an actress. Lauren made the move to Hollywood where she would face her fair share of difficulties, including her own awful “Me Too” moment from a slimy agent, an abortion, slut shaming by her own Vanderpump cast members and fans, and more..It wasn’t long that dropped the name Lauren and took on the name and persona of Lala Kent, Lala which she viewed as her “armor” that would protect her from all the hate. Lala Kent is such an evolved, beautiful soul and friend and we are so grateful to have her on the show and excited for you to all hear her incredible story.

Regular Guy Friday Ep. 12: How to Help You and a Loved One Pass On
Hay Kweenz! We made it through another week. It's another edition of Regular Guy Friday. The episode may be a bit of a downer as the Kweenz discuss the dying process. It's a subject we rarely wish to discuss or face, even though it's the surest reality we will experience in life. From taking ego out of the process to remembering who the final days are about (the person passing) the duo share actions that have helped them and loved ones. The truth is revealed about the purpose of funerals: funerals are for the living not the dead. They also discuss the best means of preparation and the best means to honor those who have passed, along with why gravesites may be of value to those alive. The Western 'Disney' view of death is covered vs. a perhaps more healing, mature and healthy means that other cultures subscribe to. Our life here is brief, our loved ones never leave us and we will see them again soon enough. Kels and Kev discuss this and how they coped with their losses. On a lighter note, Kelsey teased a Saturday of 500 Kweenz up in Boston with Kev's family and how we should view more tasks and periods in our lives as adventures rather than duties we dread. We were reminded AGAIN that 50% of life is showing up an that the other 50% is knowing your a Kween. Actually, whose kiiding who, it's 100% about knowing you're a Kween, Keenze. Bye Betches.
