This week Mike tackles the fourth and final volume of the first run of Darth Vader comics; End Of Games, for the conclusion to the 25-issue epic! Included in this episode is the clone Cylo’s betrayal of the Empire, Vader’s Mustafar-based force vision, whale ships, super star destroyers, an enhanced rancor, some background on the rancor trainer Malakili, Doctor Aphra meeting Palpatine and much more!  In case you haven’t listened to the previous Vader episodes, check out episodes 15, 17, 19 & 23, for the full details of the first run of Darth Vader comics (by Kieron Gillen)!  The 6 issues of vol 4 of Darth Vader were written by Kieron Gillen with the artist Salvador Larroca and colourist Edgar Delgado. There were times when it was questionable whether this movie would ever get it's threatre release, after being delayed for two years from when it was initially expected. TV & Movie Reviews: Hulk (2003) To coincide with our new show Comics on Trail we review the 2003 Ang Lee - Hulk starring Eric Bana Plot Summary: Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist with a cloudy past about his family, is involved in an accident in his laboratory causing him to become exposed to gamma radiation and Nanomeds (a tiny life form that is supposed to heal wounds, but has killed everything with which they have made contact). Confused and curious about his survival, Banner discovers that since the accident, whenever he becomes angry, he transforms into a giant green monster destroying everything in sight in an act of rage. Bruce's mysterious past and the answer to why the radiation had this effect becomes revealed to him as his birth father David Banner intervenes with hopes to continue experimenting on him. Guardians of the Galaxy wasn't at the top of most comic fans' pull lists prior to this movie coming out, but this proved to be the biggest surprise of the MCU to date. Chris and Dave discuss what they think about this one. Plot Summary: After stealing a mysterious orb in the far reaches of outer space, Peter Quill from Earth is now the main target of a manhunt led by the villain known as Ronan the Accuser. To help fight Ronan and his team and save the galaxy from his power, Quill creates a team of space heroes known as the "Guardians of the Galaxy" to save the galaxy. This week, Tony is joined by Mr. David Cowles to discuss They Might Be Giants concept album/comic book The Escape Team David Cowles was born in Rochester, N.Y. in 1961, the last of six children. His father, Hobart, was a Professor of Ceramics at Rochester Institute of Technology, and his mother, Barbara, was manager of Shop One, a Rochester gift shop heavy on the crafts. Cowles landed a job at the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester in 1983, and began his freelance career two years later, leaving the paper to work freelance full-time in 1991. Cowles' work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Vibe, Time, Newsweek, Playboy, People, The Village Voice, Money, Worth, Fortune, Fast Company, Los Angeles Magazine, New York Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, The New Republic and Vanity Fair, among others. Cowles has worked as a creator, designer, storyboard artists and director on animated projects for Disney, Sesame Street, They Might Be Giants and Frederator Studios, among others. TV & Movie Reviews: Umbrella Academy Season 2 (2020) This weeks reviews is the recently released second series to the highly rated Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Does it stand up to the brilliant first series? Plot Summary: On the same day in October 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now, the six surviving thirty-something members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death. But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.
