In this episode, I talk with Business Strategist, Neil Schimmel. We talk about institutional barriers, team dynamics, and showing up as your authentic self. After this past year, there is no more community-wide lie that people in the workplace don't also have a real life at home (because we SAW it). In the midst of COVID we were forced to recognize that both exist, simultaneously. And, because of that, we are not going back to a typical 9-5 corporate environment.  The status quo is simply not good enough anymore... It's not working (and hasn't been for quite some time). My guest today is Rob Cohen, my former employer and a restaurateur who builds community through public spaces.  In the past 27 years, Rob has built and/or owned a cafe, whiskey bar, fine dining restaurant, brewpub, deli and pizzeria.
