Behind the Numbers: Hormone Therapy Gone Wrong
Bio-Identical Hormones, also known as hormone replacement therapy, can be a "quick fix" at times. It's an easy answer too. If the lab shows low testosterone, give testosterone. If the lab shows low progesterone, give progesterone. I'm here to challenge that thinking. And I'm gonna use a prime scenario to do it. He was taking testosterone replacement, high doses of it. Wasn't helping. I found an underlying cause simply by looking at his "normal" labs. And this scenario isn't a rarity. Take my advice, don't just jump to hormone replacement therapy. Make sure you get all the puzzle pieces, have the right person read those puzzle pieces, and then you'll know if you really need it or not. Overcoming Trauma: Don’t let the Start Stop You
She once called herself "the Throw Away Girl." Because that's what her family did to her. When she thought she could finally trust her mom, her mom turned against her. As Tiffany returned home from school, she quickly realized a horror became reality. Her mother was selling her stuff! At 13 years old.
