She moved to Austin in 1996 and began serving as a high school World Geography teacher and swim coach at John B. Connally High School in Pflugerville ISD. Jill earned her Masters from Texas State University and began her administrative career in Marble Falls ISD where she served as the Assistant Principal for Instruction. In 2004, Jill went to Lake Travis ISD where she served as a campus and district leader for 8 years. During that time, she completed her doctorate at the University of Texas.In her first months as a superintendent, Jill faced financial crisis along with many other challenges that leadership brings. In 2015, her school board was named a TASA Honor Board as one of the top 5 school boards in the state and one of her campuses was named a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School. Jill is the Chair of the Future-Ready Superintendent Leadership Network (FRSLN) Design Team through the Texas Association of school Administrators (TASA) where innovative leaders from across the state gather to learn, share and grow together.Jill has a passion for helping others reach their goals and is the leader of TASA’s Aspiring Superintendent Academy, and a frequent speaker at Texas’ First-Time Superintendent Academy as well as other leadership and education conferences. Richard Shell is Professor of Legal Studies, Business Ethics, and Management – and former Chair of its Legal Studies and Business Ethics Department -- at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Over his 30-year career, he has won every teaching prize that Wharton has to offer. He is also the Director of two week-long training programs for senior executives offered multiple times each year: Wharton’s Executive Negotiation Workshop and its Strategic Persuasion Workshop. In these programs, he has taught everyone from members of Seal Team 6, FBI hostage negotiators, and UN diplomats working in the Middle East to leaders of Fortune 500 corporations, presidents of major universities and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. Consulting clients have included Google, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Zach Rondot is a passionate fourth-grade teacher in Troy, Michigan. In 2019, Zach was named the Troy School District Elementary Teacher of the Year and the Oakland County Elementary Teacher of the Year. Grayson McKinney is a fifth-grade teacher from Michigan and a leader in the area of innovative teaching and learning. For the past 14 years Chris’ role has been as an administrator. This administrative experience includes time as an assistant principal at both the middle school and high school levels prior to his current role of Middle School Principal.

He is a school leadership coach who runs competency-based workshops and provides keynotes nationally and internationally focusing on school leadership (collaborative cultures and instructional leadership), as well as, fostering inclusive school climates. His work has been adopted at the state level, university level, and he works with numerous school districts, school boards, regional networks, ministries of education around North America, Australia, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the U.K.
Peter writes the Finding Common Ground column for Education Week, which has been in circulation since 2011. In 2020 DeWitt co-created Education Week's A Seat At the Table where he moderates conversations with experts around the topics of race, gender, sexual orientation, research, trauma and many other educational topics.
Additionally, DeWitt is the Series Editor for the Connected Educator Series (Corwin Press) and the Impact Series (Corwin Press) that include books by Viviane Robinson, Andy Hargreaves, Pasi Sahlberg, Yong Zhao and Michael Fullan. He is the 2013 School Administrators Association of New York State's (SAANYS) Outstanding Educator of the Year, and the 2015 Education Blogger of the Year (Academy of Education Arts & Sciences), and sits on numerous advisory boards.

Dr. Joe Clark has worked as an educator since 1992, including six years as a high school English teacher, seven years as a building principal and assistant principal, and seventeen years in the central office as a superintendent and assistant superintendent. Dr. Clark is currently the superintendent of the Nordonia Hills City Schools, a district serving 3,600 students in Northeast Ohio. Dr. Clark received all three of his degrees at Kent State University: a B.A. in English, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration, and a Ph.D. in K-12 Leadership, with a school law focus. His dissertation is titled "A legislative and judicial analysis of sexual relationships between American secondary students and their teachers."
Dr. Clark is the author of the book If the Dance Floor Is Empty, Change the Song (A Superintendent's Spin on Making Schools Rock).

About Zandra Jo Galvan:
Mrs. Zandra Jo Galvan has been serving as Superintendent of the Greenfield Union School District since August 10, 2017. Zandra has worked in public education for the past 28 years. Prior to joining GUSD, she served as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for Gonzales Unified School District where she coordinated all educational programs, the LCAP development process and budgets, and managed all state and federal programs.
Superintendent Galvan began her career as an elementary classroom teacher for the Greenfield Union School District where she also attended kindergarten through graduation. Returning to serve as Superintendent allowed her childhood dreams to come true. She has always been passionate about returning to and serving her community since she was a child and has been able to implement some exciting programs while leading as Superintendent. Over the last 45 months, she has implemented a GUSD District Strategic Plan with an LCAP-aligned vision, mission, core values, and board of trustee priorities; implemented the Professional Learning Community system of collaboration around essential standards mapping, identified learning targets through teacher clarity, implemented a local, formative common assessments protocol, instilled an effective method of frequent, on-going data analysis; implemented 21st century classroom furniture and designed innovative LEGO & Apple learning lab spaces at all elementary sites for students to build, innovate, create and prepare for their successful postsecondary college and career futures.
Superintendent Galvan is a consultant and professional development facilitator. She has been spotlighted on several State and National podcasts and routinely is on Superintendent panels and conference speaking events highlighting hot topics in education. She enjoys engaging other professionals around topics of organizational leadership, social justice and equity, dismantling racism, challenging organizational structures for students, social emotional wellness, distance learning, lessons learned as we grow, sisterhood circles of empowerment, and uplifting our next generation to thrive in our world that we challenge and design. She is also extremely proud of lifting others and establishing a #SisterCircle to empower women, specifically women of color into positions of influence for the students and communities we serve.
Superintendent Galvan is passionate about preparing students to be social-emotionally and academically prepared for college and career and ensures that every GUSD team member knows they are an ELITE team member dedicated to the arduous task of saving students from the cycle of poverty. Dr. Randy Russell currently serves as the Freeman, WA School District Superintendent. During his ten years in Freeman, the Freeman School District has achieved a high school graduation rate exceeding 98%; developed a collaborative professional development system grades P-12; successfully completed a $35 million construction project including the renovation of Freeman High School and Elementary schools, a new K-8 multi-purpose room, a new Palouse Regional Transportation Cooperative, a remodeled Freeman Middle School, the painting of all exterior buildings, and complete renovation of all athletic facilities; passed levies, capital project levies, and technology levies; and developed a broad school and community engagement processes to create, implement and complete the Freeman 2020 Strategic Plan.
He is a past member of the WASA Board of Directors and is currently on the AAS Governing Board Executive Committee. In addition to serving as the WASA President, Randy has also served as the WASA Superintendent’s Component Chairperson, the NorthEast Washington School Administrator’s President and as the Spokane County Superintendent’s President.
Randy is beginning his thirty-third year as a teacher, coach, assistant principal and principal in addition to his time as a superintendent in Washington, Idaho and Montana. He is also the Founder and president of RLR Leadership Consulting.
