She and her husband Bobby work tirelessly to bring focus, voice, and passion to the needs of those who fight for health, economic and social equity, especially those whose voices are left out of the planning tables.   Minister Tyler-Graves is the founder of two nonprofit corporations- “Operation Love Inc”.( serving the underserved) and “When The Trumpet Sounds” (advocating for Epilepsy community).  Minister Tyler-Graves holds an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies, certifications in Evangelism, associate degree in MA (Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy / EKG) and bachelor's degree in theology. Also has a master's certificate In Christian Ministry and will be pursuing degree in Biblical Counseling (master's 2), Sept 2023. She now composes children’s jingles about her granddaughter and sings them to her. Lost Seeds: The Beginning is her first novel. Book Synopsis Lost Seeds is the story of two brothers, Dublin and Timothy Brisco, born into poverty at the turn of the twentieth century to formerly enslaved parents. From birth, they witness firsthand the atrocities their parents had to endure and themselves experience the continued struggles of being Black in the South. Encounters with physical abuse, mental illness, and racism define the brothers’ lives, and despite their best efforts to survive, the seeds of slavery’s wickedness inevitably spawn and lead the two down separate paths. Dublin attempts to overcome his tragic past and hopes to elevate his place in life by escaping oppression and adapting to segregated societal life, while Timothy openly displays his wounds, attempts to reject his Black identity, and descends into a fog of mental illness. The two brothers never discuss their journeys, nor the lifetime of insecurity and violence they experienced, ultimately creating an impassable chasm in their relationship. Eventually, at the request of their mother, Dublin reluctantly permits Timothy to live on his family’s land in a one-room windowless shack. Although they are once again united on the same property, their feelings of indifference and the distance between the two persist. Will their relationship forever be lost to the traumas of their past, or will they be able to come together and be each other’s strength in the face of the cruelties of their world? They read as follows:  DEAR LETTERS FOR HOPE: Some time ago I became the victim of a violent sexual assault that had left me traumatized. As a result, I started doing pills/drugs to cope with what had happened to me. I had really derailed.  After some time in the wilderness, I decided to come back home with my husband and children, and they took me back with open arms.  My only issue is that I can’t be touched by my husband. Just the thought makes me ill. I try to pray about it, but I just can’t help it. I am struggling, what do I do? Stuck in Pain in California  DEAR LETTERS FOR HOPE: I am BORED! Please help me figure this out. I am a new Christian, and I am used to going out with friends, hanging in clubs, and doing just about whatever I want. Since becoming a Christian, I am struggling to enjoy it. The only thing I seem to do is go to church and pray, but my life is…well boring. What can I do to enjoy this journey more? I really don’t want to do what I used to do. I want to have fun and feel good about it. Eager for suggestions. Bored and Blessed in Virginia  Join us as we discuss these topics. Born Blossom Lafayette Butler in New Smyrna Beach, FL on January 15, 1966, to a teenage mom, and raised by her loving great-grandmother who believed in some unique home remedies that later developed detrimental habits for Blossom. Later Blossom’s mom married and told her that it was time for her to come home. It was a bittersweet moment, because it was always just her and her great-grandmother and now, she was to live with others and would have to share. Living with her mom, stepfather, and siblings, Blossom was often confused, angry, but happy to have playmates. However, Blossom went through horrible times dealing with molestation and inappropriate behavior at the hands of her stepfather. She recalls saying to her stepfather as he touched her, “I’m gonna tell my mama” while he laughed and said “no one will believe you”. That statement stuck with Blossom and shut her mouth for years to come. With a childhood pregnancy at sixteen by a boyfriend who abandoned her, and a failed marriage, Blossom looked elsewhere for the love she yearned. After a new now abusive relationship to a crack addict, Blossum decided if I can’t beat him, I will join him. By age 23, she was the mother of three sons. This began a long life of jail, prison, homosexual habits, rehabs, mental institutions, theft, homelessness. Because of this lifestyle, Blossom began living under a bridge in the back seat of her car. She is here to tell her story, her way! Following high school, she enrolled in Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, after receiving a full tuition talent scholarship. Mary earned a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education and later received a Master’s degree in Education Administration. Mary has been fortunate to travel and minister in song in many Gospel events such as, The Bobby Jones Gospel Retreat, Gospel Super Fest, opening for CeCe Winans and Shirley Caesar. She has also appeared on many television programs such as, “Dorinda”, “I’m Just Saying”, and numerous revivals on TCT, the “Rejoice in the Word” w/ Greg Davis on The Word Network as well as others. She also had the honor of winning the New Artist Showcase Best Soloist Award from the Dorinda Clark-Cole Singers & Musicians Conference 2005 and she was the 1st recipient of the Gospel Superfest Horizon Award in 2010. She also received a Gospel Independent Artist Award from S.W.A.G. Spot Radio Awards on Oct. 18, 2014. September 2019, Mary ministered in song on the Atlanta Live Television Show in Atlanta, Ga. God has set aside this time for Mary to reset, focus on her music ministry, and go where he leads her. Currently, Mary is writing and recording new music and completed her first concept video for her new single “Make it Personal” was released September 30, 2022. She is also preparing to perform in Clarksville and Nashville TN as well as an intimate acoustic style performance by the end of the year.
