NOVEMBER 15, 2023. This episode will feature inspirational music, positive inspirations, and JOSH COPELAND. Josh Copeland, BET Sunday Best Season 9 finalist and Maryland native, has released a new single titled "Done It For Me". The inspirational track is available for digital download and streaming on all major platforms. In 2019, Copeland competed in the popular gospel singing competition show, Sunday Best, which aired on BET and was filmed at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. Although he finished as a runner-up, his talent and energy captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Copeland gained recognition as a praise and worship leader and as a member of DMV's city-wide choir and 4-Time Stellar Award nominees, Charles Butler & Trinity. He is featured as a lead vocalist on Charles Butler & Trinity's chart-topping albums “The Blood Experience” (2017) and “Make It” (2016), where he delivered a powerful performance of the electrifying song "The Blood." The track gained significant traction across the gospel music marketplace, reaching No. 22 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart and No. 24 on its Gospel Airplay chart. In 2018, Copeland released his version of The Winans' classic song "Uphold Me" from his debut 4-track EP of the same name. Upon its release, “Uphold Me” debuted in the Top 15 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Top 200 albums chart. Copeland is here to discuss his latest single, "Done It For Me," a must-listen for fans of gospel and soulful music.
AND ISAAC “IKE” WHITE here as our inspirational person of the day. Ike, also known as Isaac White, embarked on his journey in the entertainment world at the tender age of 10. Encouraged by his older sister, he began taking singing lessons just before his 11th birthday. Ike's first solo performance took place in his church when he was 11, where he sang gospel songs by artists like Smokie Norful, Isaac Carree, and J Moss. At 13, Ike started his acting career at an academy in Metairie, Louisiana. Within three months, he was sent to Los Angeles, California, where he had the opportunity to perform in front of industry professionals. At 14, Ike landed his first major role in "Lee Daniels' The Butler," playing the son of Forest Whitaker's character, alongside Oprah Winfrey and David Oyelowo. His name appeared in the credits alongside renowned actors like Terrence Howard, Lenny Kravitz, and Robin Williams. Ike's acting career flourished between the ages of 13 and 19, with appearances in various films and TV shows. During this time, Ike also honed his musical talents, particularly as a singer and pianist. At 18, he dedicated his life to the Lord and enrolled at "Bethany College," a Bible college in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At 19, Ike decided to take a break from the entertainment industry to focus on his relationship with God and personal growth. During this period, he met his wife, became a Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor at a church, and welcomed his first child. At the beginning of 2023, Ike began to feel a shift. It had been 7 years since he decided to lay down his acting and music career to pursue God. Ike sees his career now as a ministry opportunity to share his testimony. His goal is to take all of the things he has learned and is continually learning to be a leading voice in his generation, as well as other generations.
