I’ve seen this happen a lot throughout my years in business.People do something proactive; they pull in a lot of interest to their offer, they'll end up landing a bunch of clients and at that point, they get really busy and very productive, they have a lot of sales and income come in.But while they're focused on those current customers and serving people, they stop doing what they did to attract those people. Then what happens is they serve, and they close out, they finish those transactions and there’s no one left to serve. They have to start all over again at the bottom.So how can you get rid of those peaks and valleys?Don’t stop doing what you did to attract people in the first place, and you’ll keep attracting new people in. Start every day at zero, as if you have zero clients. You don't need a big list or a big audience when you have the correct aligned offer.Focus on serving the right people. If you're intentional with what you’re putting into the marketplace and speaking to the right audience, you're going to have a higher conversion ratio, it’s going to be easier to guide these people into a sale.So, take your time when it comes to list building. Be a little bit more careful and stay clear of all the shiny objects out there to build the vanity metric, the tricks on how to build huge followings because a lot of these leads won't be very high quality.Be intentional instead. I’m giving you permission to pivot!As I often say, marketing is testing. To test we need to put something out in the world and see if it's attracting the right people into our space,and that we’re attracting them into whatever offer or promotion that we're creating in the future.While you’re doing that testing, make sure you give yourself permission to pivot if you need to. Don't be emotionally attached to everything you put out there. Don’t expect it to be a home run every time.
