Defending Our Children with Craig Sawyer & Forrest Sealey with Betty Simons Part 1
Meet Betty Simons, a relentless warrior in the fight against human trafficking. With a degree from the University of North Texas and years of specialized training in investigations, Betty has become an indispensable ally to law enforcement. For over 9 years, she has tirelessly worked to bring justice for children and adults ensnared by human trafficking, with a focus on combating the commercial sexual exploitation of children.
Betty is also the driven co-founder of NMA, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing missing and exploited children. NMA is a poignant tribute to her sister, Nita Moseley, who tragically fell victim to trafficking at the tender age of 14 and was murdered shortly after co-founding the organization in 2015. Keeping her sister’s vision alive is the heartbeat of Betty’s mission.
Based in Houston, Betty collaborates with a network of non-profits, contributing her expertise in locating missing children and supporting families and victims of violent crimes. What’s even more inspiring is that she offers her skilled services pro bono, even personally funding her endeavors to ensure the mission continues.
NMA's powerful mission statement "Dare to enter the darkness to bring another into the light" illuminates Betty's unwavering commitment.
