Okay, well, welcome back.
To Tramps, Ghosts, and Ballerinas.Welcome back.
Here we are.So it's been, so if you listened last time, you heard our catch up, our catch up episode.
And not the Heinz catch up, but a catch up. episode. And so now we're actually going to talk about a book. And quite frankly, it's been a minute since we all read it.Yeah.But before surgery, before surgery for me, did I?
Yeah.Oh, I thought I dated my notes, but I didn't.
Couldn't told you exactly how long ago I read this.
So let's do like a little bit of
Maybe say the name and the author. So I have the name, the author, and the background, and then play by play, and then we'll get into it.So we're doing The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane by Julia Nobel.Noble?Nobel.
Noble.Noble.OK.So this book came out in 2019, which I do have a couple, like a little thing of pop. pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop
So for Julia Noble, it doesn't have a whole lot on her that I could find, and I googled, not extensively, but for a few minutes.More effort than what we did.Yep, so that's all that matters.
I bought in the second book, so I mean, I think I've done my job.Yeah, you're here.I'm here.I read it.I bought the second one.
Yeah.Anyway, Mariah's just chilling.I did read it.No, see, Mariah has to drive. So you all do that and then I, anyway. So let's see.
So Julia Noble is a teacher from Canada and mother to a young daughter who helps her write by throwing applesauce at the keyboard. She is the author of The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane and The Secret of White Stone Gate. That's literally what it had.
She is Canadian.Hang on.I might have something.Oh, because they had a website. So I was like, oh, I didn't visit her website.And. Okay, so hang on.Here's what we know about Julia Noble. She is a teacher. So this is what it says.
So this is her bio, her website.Julia Noble is a teacher from the one part of Canada that almost gets no snow.By the time she was 10, she had a beloved notebook filled with plot ideas for novels and TV shows.
She cried when she had to get rid of her babysitter's club books because they wouldn't fit in the family's moving truck, and promptly bought them all back in her new city.
Now she carries another plot-filled notebook, although it is also filled with shopping lists and reminders to feed the cat. So that's her little bio she's got.
She doesn't have enough room on the moving truck for a series of books.
I guess not.Here's a picture of her.
OK.Can't really see that far, but that's OK.
Nice.So that's the author.This is the play-by-play?Yeah.This is the summary.Yeah, let's do it.
so jog our memories okay good because i okay so emmy's dad disappeared years ago and with her mother too busy to parent she's shipped off to wellsworth a prestigious boarding school in england but right before she leaves a mysterious box arrives full of medallions and a note reading these belong to your father
Just as she's settling into life at Wellsworth, Emmy begins to find the strange symbols from the medallions etched into the walls and stumbles upon the school's super-secret society, the Order of Black Hollow Lane.
As Emmy and her friends delve deeper into the mysteries of the Order, she can't help but wonder, did this secret society have something to do with her dad's disappearance?Dun-dun-dun.
Oh yeah, things jogged right back.
Good, because I got nothing.
So, all right, right off the top, what were our thoughts on the book as a whole?Did we like it?I dug it.Yeah, I liked it.I thought it was good.Did you like it?I loved it.
Again, I bought the second one.So the whole theory of a secret society.
Yes.Yeah, you know, it just screams everything I like about a book.
Yeah. And it was actually, it's actually perfect that we waited until now to record this because it's actually tis the season.Yeah.For secret orders and creepy British things because it is Halloween.
Yeah.It is indeed. What do you got for notes, Mariah?Well, I have four.Wow.Four whole notes.Four whole notes.Four more than I got.
Yep, same. I wrote, one of them that stuck out, Emmy's mom, I thought was a selfish.
I was just gonna say, I hated her mom, I do remember that.
Think of how damaging it would be to my career, because her mom was an author.About children, raising children.
Raising children, and the correct way to parent children, and she's a terrible mother.Isn't that always how it goes?
Yeah, so Leif's favorite character? The mom.I was just like, this... Bitch.Yep.You can say it.This bitch.
Yeah, we can swear on here.I do like when Mariah swears on us.
She's like... Clutched her pearls before she did it.Oh, goodness, goodness.I look to Ellen and be like, fill in the word.
I want to swear, but I also shouldn't. I'll do it.I'll do your dirty work. Can you be my swear words?
Fuck yeah. Can you say them for me?I sure shit can.
Perfect.Um, the other note I have Emmy's roommate. The snatchy one?Yeah. How, um, I don't remember her name.Just wanted to make Emmy's life miserable. And she, she said like, Something went missing and Emmy was the one that took it.
Like, was trying to get Emmy into trouble.Because, oh, she had a room all to herself. And then she moved in.And then Emmy moved in.
And she was like a poor little rich girl, so.
Didn't they become friends at the end?Friendly.Friendly at the end, yes.
um i have a note here like as a kid being sent to a boarding school across the world fan no fan oh i would have been a fan no i don't like to be away from home okay i never have i don't like to travel so i would really hate that you would probably flourish i would love it both of you would flourish you'd be holding hands skipping down the hallways just giddy and i'd be like
I mean, the first couple days would suck because you don't have any friends.
Yeah, both of you would make friends immediately.
And then you're forced to be friendly with your roommate if you got one.Yep.Yeah.
You'd do very well. But if I had a chance to go to England, hell yeah.Of course.
I had done that in a heartbeat. The only other note I have is Emmy going on a search for the relics, and within minutes she found something.
Yeah, that was very quick.
How quick this book, obviously, things gotta progress quickly, because you can only be so many pages.
So yeah, it's a very small book for as much that happened in it.
Yeah, although there was a lot that happened in there. And I think that we waited so long during Harry Potter, because this was kind of, I don't want to say remnants of Harry,
potter, but a little bit, you know, castle, castle and secret society, British, blah, blah, blah.Yeah, you know, but it took like a long time for those to develop because there was seven books.
And this, this well, it is a book that stands on its own.So that had to be solved. There's enough of there's enough unanswered questions that you can see as I was like, I finished I was like, well, there better be another one coming.
Yeah, because, you know, spoiler, spoiler alert. She doesn't find her dad yet.Yeah, yeah. But he's made an appearance.
And yeah, he was at the church.Oh, the church.
Yeah, he pretended to be like the pastor.
Yeah. And that was her dad.Yes, I do remember that.
The only other thing that brought to light in my head was the teacher that befriended... Well, the teacher that... Was the head of the order, right?Yes.
He pretended to kind of be... He was like, you should drop my class.
Yes.Yeah, he was like, this is too hard, you should drop my class.
Yeah, he was pretending to be a hard ass and then was just trying to reel her in.
Yeah, but the caretaker who is like super friendly turns out to be the asshole.
Yes!Because of course.Because of course.See, you just can't talk to men.You can't trust anyone.
You just can't talk to men.Pale male and stale.Yeah.But...
Yeah, I thought it was good.
I mean, she obviously would pick the bear.
Yeah, in the end, we would pick the bear 100% in the man in the bear in the wood.Do you know this one? Were you gone during this conversation? When that was big on TikTok?
Alright, so if you were stuck in the woods, and you had the option to be stuck in the woods with a bear, or stuck in the woods with a man, a man you didn't know.Yeah, you don't know this man.Yeah, man, you don't know.
Okay, which do you choose the bear the man?
There's not a right or wrong answer.
Yeah, I don't know what I would choose.
This was on TikTok?Yeah, how did you miss this?Clearly not on my for you page.
You must have been gone then when this became a thing because I was asking it.
Maybe it was a weekend and you weren't there.Probably.
Was I in Maine?Everybody was talking about it for months, even on regular TV things.
So you don't know which one you'd pick.
The bear or the man. You're in the middle of the woods. No path.No nothing. You're in the woods.
A bear.Just a bear.You don't get to know.
And just a man you don't know.Yeah. Wow.Let her pick.Let her pick.Go ahead.
I probably would pick the bear.
Oh, finally.Oh, God.She stored my faith in the female entity.
Yeah, because the thing was on TikTok, so women were picking the bear. And then all these men were losing their mind because they were making stitches. And they would be like, why aren't they picking the man?Like, why would you pick the bear?
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then all the women would post a story of a woman getting murdered. Yeah.I'd be like, this is why I picked the bear.
The bear could kill you. They're like, yep.But he's just gonna kill me.The man is going to rape me.He's going to dismember me alive and then and then kill me in the end.Yeah, okay.Right.
But yeah, the men are gonna do much worse.Yeah, more than likely. And also, the bear is supposed to be there.Like, if I were stuck in the woods... That's his home.Right, and I saw a man, I'd be like, the fuck is this man doing here?
Are you stalking me?Are you following me?You're gonna kill me.
Yeah, my brain is automatically gonna go, like, it's either you or me.Right.So you're clearly gonna come after me.Right.
yeah yeah where the bear it's like this is this this is where he's supposed to be yeah he's gonna find his den and just chill yeah and he comes after me yeah that's why i asked what kind of bear yeah some bears don't go after humans
Yeah, I mean, so I was actually reading this thing the other day that said, you know, the whole, if it's black, fight back, if it's brown, lay down, if it's white, say goodnight, like all that kind of stuff.
Not actually accurate, because I guess if it's a black, I'm not even gonna be able to say this right, if it's a black bear, and it's not being, if it's like coming at you being threatening, you shouldn't fight back. you should still lay down.
And if it's not being threatening, you know, if it's just kind of roaming, then be loud and scare it off.If it comes at you, like, you know, hot, don't get big, don't get loud, just lay down.
What would you do if a bear stumbled?
and I'd probably just stand there and like, I don't know.
I don't know.I have no idea.I've never been in that situation, so I have no idea what I would do.
Well, I see those videos on TikTok.
Yeah, I mean, there's bears at my parents' house.Every week, my dad sends me a video because he's got cameras outside.I'm all middle of the night. Here comes trotting up a bear, steals their bird feeder, wanders off.
Like if I was visiting your parents and like their garage was open and we were, I don't know, doing something in the garage and I walk out and there's a bear, I for sure know myself well enough that I would hightail it back inside.
Yeah, I'd probably just like slowly step back in.I don't think I would freeze. And then I'd close the garage.I would hide. And then I'd text my dad and be like, there's a bear, get your gun.
I for sure would try and hide.
Yeah, I just probably wouldn't make any sudden movements. and I'm slowly back into wherever I came out of. Yeah.
Although I also saw this video on TikTok of all these cars lined up and this black bear is roaming around and the people are in the house out the window, like up, and they're yelling and trying to get it to move.
And it's going up to the car and it literally opens somebody's car door and gets in the car and the door shuts and they're all like freaking out like, oh my god, that's my car.
Like, what do we do?And now that bear's stuck.Stuck in the car.It can't get out.
Well, I hope you got insurance.Yeah.
Anywho, Black Hollow Lane.Sorry, didn't mean to.Yeah, she would pick the bear.
I don't know, there was enough mystery, there was enough intrigue, there was enough... I liked it, I liked it a lot.
I thought it would make a good movie, too.Like, it'd be a fun movie to watch. It would be.So if, you know, I mean, not that I want her to sell the rights to her book, but if she could get that going, that'd be pretty sweet.
yeah i i think it's a it's it would be interesting to know what the second one is is that the gate one the white gate stone gate white stone gate yeah yeah do you know if it's the same characters i i don't know i would assume that it is okay i googled it i didn't know if you read the back nope i just bought it oh on fun news of second
books that came out.The Swifts 2.
The Swifts 2 came out.Did you know that?
I bought those all together, I think. When we went on our little excursion.Oh, really? When we went to the bookstore in Purim.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.I bought that, I bought the Swifts, and I bought... Oh, I didn't know you bought the second one or this one.
I knew you bought the Swifts.Yep. Yeah, we should try and do that one.Second one.
So this is the, um, this is the little bit, little summary for the, uh, what is it called? The mystery of White Stone Gate.So it is the same character.
So it says after spending the summer at home, Emmy cannot wait to return to Wellsworth for the new school year and reunite with her best friends, Lola and Jack.
Before she leaves, Emmy receives a note from her father telling her to hide the remaining relics. The order of Black Hollow Lane are after, are after and. are after her, I'm assuming it's supposed to say?Let me read, let's see.
Hide the relics the Order of Black Hollow Lane are after.
Hide the relics that they're after.Oh!They're after the relics.
Hide the relics that the Black Hollow Lane are after.Good lord. And to trust no one, I can't splice that to sound good, so it is what it is.I got no skills for that.
When Lola is framed for a serious crime she didn't commit, Emmy knows that she and her friends are not safe. The Order wants Emmy to give up her father's location. If she doesn't, though she loves, will pay the price.Ooh.
Emmy and Jack, oh wait, I don't want to keep reading, because then it gives more away.So we should read that one next.
Ken or the Swifts. Yeah, we can do the Swifts.I don't remember the Swifts.Which one was the Swifts? That's right.Shenanigan.Oh, yeah.Yeah.
Well, I feel like since we're on the mystery of Black Halloween, we should do the Whitestone Gate and then do the Swifts too.
I don't know, Amanda, Catherine, what book would you like us to do next?
You, I mean, hopefully you'll listen to this episode of The Mystery of Black Hollow Lane.
I mean, because it's- If you like it well enough, you want us to read the second book?
Or if you remember the Swifts.I mean, I would base the book based on this episode. Yeah, it's you know, you can give us some time to get back into it.Plus we all read this like a month ago.
So Oh, well over a month ago.We read it in June and it's September.September.Yeah, it's October.I'm reading something fabulous right now.
So let's do that. What have you been reading?Because we've all still been reading. a hundred percent.Ellen, what books have you read since we were on hiatus, while we were on hiatus?
Well, the best ones that I've read is, I'm in the Practical Magic series by Alice Hoffman, and I've read the first one, and I'm reading them in chronological order and not in
Not in the order in which they were released, because Practical Magic, which the movie is based on, was literally the first book she put out in this one.And then she created, I think it went, I think it went three, four,
one and two, but I'm not sure of that.So I started in chronological order.I bought them.In fact, I, we, Mariah and I switched because I had boughten this hardcover 25th edition of it.20th?25th?Doesn't matter.Doesn't matter.
And Mariah got the hard, or the paperback. And then, so I went to, I'm like, I opened, I started reading the book and it says, there are four books. And I was like, what are you?Like, shut the book.I'm like, I'm not reading anymore.
So I obsess about it.Go to the bookstore. The next day I come back to work. And I bought the three, but they only had them in, obviously, paperbacks.
And then, of course, I need them to be, if you've been listening, you know they need to match on my shelf. And so then I switched with Mariah. So now I have all four. Now you both have all four.
No, I still only have Practical Magic.Oh, OK.Well, you have my... Yeah, she's letting me borrow hers when she finishes them.
Yeah.Gotcha.OK.OK.So I don't know.It's so good.Probably...
maybe we should do that top 10 books i've already read yeah i think practical magic would be a good one that would be yeah especially with the season yeah but i'm telling you you should read them in order i am i stopped reading practical magic i know but
Yeah, we don't have time to do all four.No.
Let's maybe not do a straight series for a while.
Yeah.So that's what I've been reading.I've been reading a book for work, which has been, I think, great.I don't know if my team thinks it's great, but I've been thinking it's great. What else have I read? I don't remember. What have you read, Mariah?
Well, let me get my TBR app out.I can tell you exactly what I read. Not sponsored. Not, nope.
Not sponsored, but hey.Read.If they wanted to.
Yeah, so if we say something, we mean it because nobody pays us to do anything.
So what was our last episode?
June 17th.Oh, what was it?I have no idea.
No, no, no.Yeah, the date.
Okay, so I read that one June 2nd.The House Across the Lake.
Oh, yeah, which I read that one too.
I read a book called Credence. I read a book by Colleen Hoover called Never Never. That one was freaky. They lost their memory.I don't know why.
And then I read the third installment of a series, you know, the one that's been floating around, Icebreaker.
Nope.Okay.Well, I read the third installment called Daydream.
I mean, I think I saw it at Target as like one of them called Puckett or... No.Not that series. So I was right that there's something out there with...
yeah there's there's like pucking around yeah yeah it's not that one not that serious nope so i've read quite a few quite a few books in the meantime here let me get my audible yeah what have you been reading okay let me ask you this so your favorite book that you've read in our hiatus was practical magic is that serious what was your favorite book of that you read in our hiatus do you have one did one stand out where you're like oh this was a good book no okay
So I read in in the absence of this.So I started with, let's see, I tried Under the Banner of Heaven, which is a Mormon thing, I got halfway through, I couldn't do it.And then I read Not a Happy Family.
Don't remember reading that one whatsoever, but apparently only have 10 seconds left of the book.So okay, Home Before Dark.
uh and then i got into and then i read the house across the lane yep and then i got into lonesome dove i remember you talking oh my god i think lonesome dove is probably probably my favorite book ever.It was so good.
So good that I went then and, because there's four books in the series, I bought all of them.Nice.
Of course I didn't listen to it in order, because the next book after Lonesome Dove is Streets of Laredo, and then that is ahead, like time jump ahead, and I didn't like it.
I was like, no, I don't, and I won't say why, but I was like, I can't do this.So then I went back, And then I listened to Comanche Moon, and I listened to Dead Man's Walk, which were the ones before Lonesome Dove. Also very good.
Not nearly as good as Lonesome Dove, though.Like, Lonesome Dove, 10 out of 10.
You listened to the whole series?
Except, well, I listened to three of the four.Damn!I didn't do Streets of Laredo, because I, there were, it's a western, and then in Streets of Laredo there were trains, and I was like, no.There shouldn't, I don't want trains. I don't know why.
The trains threw me off for that.I couldn't get behind the trains. And then the main character in Lonesome Dove was in Streets of Laredo, but he was old.And I was like, no, I can't do this. Then I also listened to Rosemary's Baby, which was very good.
Okay, you definitely read a whole lot more than what we did.
Well, I listened to them, to be fair. And then I read The Housemaid, which was pretty good. Some people at work recommended that one.
I read that one, that's, yeah.
That was pretty good.I listened to, or I read Silence of the Lambs, which I love the movie, and I was super psyched for the book, and I hated it.
Love the movie. That was the one where the movie was so much better than the book.
That's the movie you guys had me watch, right?
Yeah, movie. so much better.Book sucks.
I didn't even know it was a book.
Okay, well, you remember the movie, right?Yeah. So the main villain, Hannibal Lecter, has six fingers in the book. Why?
Yeah, he was born that way.Yes, he was born that way.Yeah, I don't know, I didn't like it.What did that have to do with anything?Nothing! That's the thing. It literally had nothing to do with anything.
Was it just supposed to add to the creepiness of his character?
I think so, but then it's like, you see Anthony Hopkins be him and you're like, he didn't need that to be creepy, you know what I mean?Anthony Hopkins was creepy, just creepy. And then I started The Devil All the Time.I got five hours left.
I don't know if I'm gonna make it.And then I also just started Salem's Lot, because Chris read Salem's Lot by Stephen King, so I'm in that one now.
Yeah, she crushed it.She freaking crushed it.
Well, to be fair, I was off for two weeks from surgery, so like, yeah, it needed something to do.But yeah, Lonesome Dove, 10 out of 10.Best book.
Best book I've ever read.Side note, did you guys see that the actress that played Professor McGonagall passed away?
Maggie Smith at 89?Sure did.
So last night I was visiting my parents and I was like, we gotta watch Harry Potter in memory of her.
Which one?We did the Half-Blood Prince.I asked my mom what her favorite was.And so we started, I fell asleep halfway through it.Guys, I went to bed at 8 o'clock.I wish. But I told my parents, I was like, I kind of want to reread the series.Me too.
Me too.I would reread it.Not for this, but just for Fungie's.
I think enough time has passed that I'm like.Well, it's been a year.Yeah, exactly. So I was like, I kind of want to reread it.
want to it's funny because I have been putting on Harry Potter again yeah like the first four yeah I don't like movies the movies yeah and so I put on the first one the other night and then I put on the second one and then the third one you know whatever and so I think it was have you seen all of them
Yes, unfortunately.Okay.The last three are fucking terrible.Oh, they're my favorite.Oh, interesting. No, the first three are the best ones.Anyway, that's neither here nor there.
But I've been watching them. And then I was driving to work yesterday. And I was at a stoplight and my phone dinged. And I was like, Oh, and I just kind of looked at glance at it.
And I had an alert for Reddit, which why I have alerts on Reddit, I have no idea need to shut that off, because it's really annoying. And I just tapped on it, and it was like, Maggie Smith, dead at 89.And I was like, ugh.
So that's how my workday started.
I was just looking, and Chris Christopherson just died. What? He's a country singer and actor.
Jesus.They're dropping like flies.
Well, that's three, I think.
I don't know.Maggie Smith, though. Also, Downton Abbey. Now I want to watch Downton Abbey because the Dowager was, she was the best character.
I feel like there's another movie coming out.
Is she in it?Did she film it before she died?
I don't know, because I think they had to kill her off, to be honest.
I mean, I feel like I saw, did you see the clip where she was on some talk show? And she said something about, she goes, well, she'd be like 115 at this point. She's like, she's still on the wouldn't make any sense. So yeah, I wonder if they did.
But either way, her in Downton Abbey, best character on the show.Best, like one of the best old ladies on a show ever.So funny. What is a weekend? Oh, I'm sorry, it's you.I thought it was a man wearing your clothes.
When Mary got her hair cut, she had the bob, you know, just chin length.Oh, I thought it was a man wearing your clothes.
You know, I love Downton Abbey.
Me too. It's such a great show and she was so good in it.
Oh, you would like it.Yeah, it's really good.Yeah, if you want like a nice comforting show, I mean, there's like some heavier shit that happens on it.But for the most part, it's like, it's a good show. That's really good. It's a comfortable show.
Okay, it's so good. And Matthew, I love Matthew.
With her in it, I probably would just watch it.
Literally, just put it on just for her.Yeah.
Is she like one of the main characters?Yeah.
Yeah.Okay.Yeah, she's so good.Yeah, she's the grandmother essentially of this super rich family.Yeah.Okay.So funny.So good.Her clothes, stunning.Love her.
That's probably the first celebrity in a long time that has passed away where I've been like, bummed. Yeah, I was bummed.I'm not going to cry over a celebrity death because I am not.But that, I was bummed out.I was like, damn it.
And then Catherine sent me something from Instagram saying exactly one year apart, she died to Professor Dumbledore.Really? The actor that played him.
Exactly one year apart.I didn't know that.
Yeah, I didn't know that either.
Yeah, I saw that.That's sad.
Just more and more Harry Potter.
Well, they're older.Yeah, I mean, that's true.
And the series came out a while ago.Yeah, I mean, 89.
That's, that's not young. Oh yeah, she was 89.I was like, the first Harry Potter did not come out in 89.
No, no, no.The book wasn't even out yet.No, Maggie Smith was 89.That's a long life.89 is old.And she did a lot.Yeah.
Lucky us, we get all the TV and movies and shit she was in to watch over and over and over again.
I saw a clip of when the Queen gave her Um, pinned her.I don't know if it was Dame.I don't know. Was she, was she a Dame?Yeah, she was a Dame.Yeah.That must've been it.It was just, it was actually really cool.
I had just seen, and I'll have to try to find it to send it to both of you.Cause it's really cute. And I had seen it on Tik TOK.I don't know, a week ago, maybe two weeks ago, literally it was, it was Maggie Smith, Judy Dench and, um,
another lady, another older actress, and they were sitting at like a brunch thing, and they were all talking, and the one said, Maggie Smith goes something about, well, Judy's taking all our parts.Did you see that?Yeah.
And she's like, that's rude.
Well, it's true, you know.
She was funny. So anyway, so that's how it went.
What the hell were we talking about?Oh, yeah, the Halloween. That's done.OK, let's do this. What would you rate it?And then we'll wrap it up.
Nine.Oh, wait.Hold on.It's what we bought it for.That's OK.
You can do a nine.We can change it.
I was thinking about our meetings.Nine! Why only a nine? No, you don't have to say it on a nine.
A 10 or 8 and below. What did we pay for it?I'd pay a solid $25 for it.
Yeah, that's a steal of a deal, I think.
I did, I think, listen to... I listened to my first book, too, I think, in this time frame.
Oh yeah, what did you listen to again?
I listened to Tom Lake from... Oh, did Meryl Streep?Yes, and Meryl Streep was the voice actor.
Yeah, I should listen to that, because...
I don't know if the story is worth something.
Yeah, it's worth it just for that.
Yeah, I mean, it's Meryl Streep.
Yeah, who... Planche?I don't remember.Eh, doesn't matter. But then I looked up another one from that same author, and Tom Hanks was narrating it.I'm like, jeez, her budget's fucking big.
You know what movie I want to watch? You've Got Mail.
I can feel the wind from, the cool wind coming in through the window.
Don't you just love Fall in the City?Yes.
Yeah.Yes, I do.Kathleen Kelly.
Totally gonna watch that movie sometime this week.
Yep.What would you rate it?Ann Patchett, that's her name.
That was the author's name?Mm-hmm.And Meryl Streep narrated.
And here, this one, Tom Hanks narrates. It's called The Dutch House by her.Interesting.
Who narrated?Black Hollow.
Don't you spend the summer with them? They're usually traveling. There's always some nanny at home to look after me in the summer.
There's always some nanny at home? That didn't sound anything like it.
no I'm sure if I listen to that like in the car I totally would be trying to like a British person yes I can't be British apparently oh my gosh um what would I rate it what do you pay for it I would pay 15 for it 15 yeah regular price $8.99 I'd pay 15
Yeah, I mean I paid probably I mean a credit.Yeah, I probably paid 17 bucks for it.I'd pay that again Yeah, 20 bucks.Yeah.Yeah, that was good Yeah, I'm not gonna be mad pain for the second one It's on there, right?
Yeah, I'm sure Actually, I think it is because I think I put it in after this one.I think I put it in my like wish list.Mm-hmm, so So yeah.So read the book.It is the season. It's October.

All the things. That's it.Way to go, Fee.Yeah, thank you.
And we're all tired. We gotta go to bed now.
That's eight.That's it?I've been up since four.I've been up for 12 hours.
Ellen's been up since four.
I've been up since four.I got up at six.Well, that's because it's dark early.
Yeah, it feels super late. It's time of the year where it's dark. But I love it.I'm so ready for fall in tall boots and sweaters. Yeah. Can't wait.
I packed another thing of boots or shoes to bring back with me.
And I did find your boots.I found my boots that I bought in Croatia.
And my Betsy Johnson.Sweet.Because I'm pretty sure I saw someone else wearing those at the corporate. The sparkly ones?
Mm hmm. They're wearing a sparkly heeled boot for daytime at a corporate.Mm hmm.
Please don't do that. Okay, let me ask, and I'll bleep it out, whatever, or if you don't know, who?Oh, is she the one that wore the high-waisted green pants and the floral top with the brown, she's got brown hair?Okay.
A sparkle boot for daytime? It must have been like a multicolored boot, and she was wearing a long dress with a leather jacket.Oh, she'd probably look great.
She's very stylish.I was gonna say, because when you said it.
She is very stylish, but she's with it.
When you said it. My first thought was she could probably pull that off.Oh, like anybody else.
She's the one that has like the grandfather glasses around.
Yeah, she's very Trendy.Yes, but trendy but can pull it off.Yeah.Yeah.
I don't know, those boots are so uncomfortable that I don't need them.I've worn them one time and they hurt my feet really bad.
Also if you're in corporate, you're not hiking across the showroom like we are or doing pickups like we are. You're at a desk, you can wear a fun boot and be okay and live. You just gotta shuffle to your car essentially at the end of the day.
and honestly you you can probably walk in your bare feet to your car no one's gonna look at you differently i doubt it would do that i doubt she would but yeah in comparison to other people shoes because Oh, I'm keeping them.
Well, you gotta keep your wedding shoes.
I'm gonna wear them another time.I just gotta be able to fully zip them.
Yeah.Yeah, I thought they were, they were just really uncomfortable.
But I couldn't even get them on my fat f***ing leg.So there was no zipping that boot for me.
So anywho, that's all we got.Goodbye.Okay.
All right, we're out of here.Good day.Good day.Good day.I said good day.
