Chris graduated with his B.S. in Computer Science in 2004 and received his M.S. in Software Engineering from USC in 2007. In this episode, Audrey profiles Fifi, an Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) student at USC. Fifi explains what ISE is and talks about her experience in the major. As an engineer, Fifi has studied abroad in New Zealand, done research at USC's Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events, managed projects for Engineers Without Borders, and chaired the USC Women in Engineering organization. Last summer, Fifi interned at the aerospace company Moog as a systems engineer and this summer will be interning at the consulting firm West Monroe Partners. From MD to Venture Capital with Dr. Tracy Dooley

After graduating from USC with a degree in biomedical engineering, Dr. Dooley went on to Stanford University School of Medicine. Since then, Tracy has worked with companies like Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics and even worked in consulting. The Min Family Challenge and Innovating for the Refugee Crisis
In the second installment of our Engineering Impact series, we discuss the 2019 Min Family Challenge, an annual social entrepreneurship challenge at Viterbi. This year the challenge takes the form of the course, Innovation in Engineering Design for Global Challenge, which is a civil engineering course open to all undergraduates. As part of the class, students work in teams to create a product that can help alleviate challenges associated with the global refugee crisis. Engineering for the Real World: Senior Capstone Projects!
Welcome to another installment of our favorite student-centered series, This Viterbi Life!! In this episode, we interview five seniors and discuss their senior capstone project. At USC, all graduating seniors typically spend 1-2 semesters working on a group project where they either build a product, design a solution to a given problem, do consulting projects for companies in the area, or work on personal projects. Senior capstone takes a lot of different forms major to major, so Rhea sat down with seniors studying five different disciplines to understand how their capstone projects have encapsulated their past four years of engineering education at USC.
