Ep. 93: #CookieDreams and Britney Young from Netflix's GLOW

It’s a brand new week in wrestling as Money in the Bank is finally on the horizon! The stage is set for those who will compete in the ladder matches on June 17th, but who’s in the best position to get that golden ticket for the world title match? And has WWE been building this up the contest for all of the entrants in the right way? Plus, NXT red-hot angle between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa has continued to pick up steam, and has now incorporated Candice LeRae, Gargano’s real-life wife. But she’s someone who’s known around the country for standing on her own; shouldn’t she be plowing her own path rather than just following in her man’s story? All of this, plus a look whether or not the Universal Title is relevant, the B-Team barbecue vs. Naomi and Lana’s dance-off and Julian stan’s for the cruiserweight championship match between Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy. Britney Young from GLOW The Netflix series GLOW returns on June 29th! Lindsey Kelk sat down with Britney Young who stars in the show as Carmen Wade aka Machu Picchu. Young tells us all about what it was like to make the show in a post-#MeToo world, why she loves Lucha Underground and what it was like to get in the ring with Kia Stevens. Britney can be found on Twitter and Instagram. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford, Mike Eagle and Lindsey Kelk Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 90: Backlash and Suddenly Dinosaurs

It seems like everyone’s got opinions on Sunday’s WWE show Backlash. Audiences in attendance walked out on the main event of Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns. But was the match really all that bad? Or has WWE just put Roman in such a poor position after WrestleMania that this level of disconnect between the product and the fans is understandable? Contributing to the disappointment in the show was that the WWE championship match between Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles did not close out the evening. Is this feud still working after two matches ending in non-finishes? And who should come away with the WWE title at this point? Plus, we look at the upcoming fourth installment in the much-loved Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada series. After a respective record 1-1-1, is it time for Kenny to finally get that IWGP title? And with Chris Jericho officially setting his sights on New Japan’s Intercontinental Title, there’s a lot to keep an eye on in the land of the rising sun. All of this and a look at the latest in NXT, 205 Live and the… unusual entrance of Mandy Rose. The Three Count Lindsey put over the latest edition of Up Up Down Down featuring Ruby Riot. Mike put over the new podcast 83 Weeks. Hal put over Elias at Backlash. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Mike Eagle, and Lindsey Kelk. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 88: A Royal Rumble Without any Queens

With Daryl Takahashi looking on with love, Danielle and Lindsey take control of the show! The two will break down the problems that have arisen with the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia; it’s WWE’s second major live event to air this month on the Network… but it will not feature a single women’s match. How much is that undercutting WWE’s supposed “women’s evolution?” And is the company doing everything they could be to make sure women are being properly used on their programming to make up for this absence? The Saudi Arabian show will be host to other matches, including Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. But what is it about this match that’s not clicking, compared to the build for their WrestleMania match?  Plus, why Shinsuke Nakamura’s new music is so amazing, who we wish was getting a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship and why it may be time to give Impact Wrestling another shot after so long. The Three Count Lindsey put over Candice LeRae and Zelina Vega's match on NXT. Julian put over Austin Aries's promo after winning back the Impact World Championship. Danielle put over The Nuclear Heat wrestling show on May 9th in Los Angeles. Hosted by Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk.  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 86: The NXT TakeOver: New Orleans and WrestleMania 34 special

We’ve survived the biggest weekend of wrestling of the year! Hal and Danielle are joined by Producer Julian Burrell to break down the biggest Ice Cream Christmas of all time.  The team will have a deep dive into a few of the biggest events from Lucha vs. Impact and Supercard of Honor in addition to what they consider the show of the weekend NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. Saturday’s NXT event featured amazing matches from beginning to end, including what may go down to be one of the greatest wrestling matches in WWE history. We’ll try not to get too excited. And the biggest show of the weekend was none other than WrestleMania. And while the team agrees that it was on the positive side of shows, there are a few issues that they had with it. That includes that the wrong match closed out the show and why Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar did nothing for either competitor or the live audience. Plus, a look at the stars who got called up from NXT to the main roster, where NXT could be heading in the future and where this Mania ranks in the all-time history of the event. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Julian Burrell.  Produced by Jesus Ambrosio for Maximum Fun. Ep. 85: WrestleMania's proper English school-yard brawl

Happy Max Fun Drive!  We’re on the cusp of WrestleMania/ Ice Cream Christmas and boy is it ever an amazing time to be a wrestling fan! This weekend will be a cornucopia of events in New Orleans. Whether you’re invested in Supercard of Honor and the culmination of Kenny Omega vs. Cody Rhodes for the soul of Bullet Club, Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground’s crossover show, or NXT TakeOver: New Orleans which will feature Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa’s grudge match, it’s safe to say there’s something for everyone. But of course, the biggest event of the weekend will be WrestleMania 34. Over six hours of wrestling LIVE in the Super Dome! Between Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and more, the team is HYPED. But there are still some concerns: Why is the Cruiserweight Title Match on the pre-show when it has the potential to be one of the best matches of Mania? Could WWE use Carmella’s money in the bank cash-in to disrupt Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair? And how will anyone survive a week with SO MUCH wrestling?! If you enjoy this show, consider becoming a Max Fun member for as little as $5 a month to keep it going and earn tons of wonderful gifts during the #MaxFunDrive! Ep. 83: Welcome back, Daniel Bryan!

The leader of the “Yes Movement” is back! Daniel Bryan became one of the most beloved stars of WWE throughout 2013 on the road to WrestleMania XXX. But, two years ago Daniel Bryan was forced to retire at the peak of his career and ability.  Now’s he’s officially been cleared to compete by a number of neurologists. And as exciting as it is to see him back doing what he does best… it’s understandable to be nervous. The Nation of Conversation breaks down how they’re feeling now that Daniel is officially back and how WWE can balance showing off one of their best wrestlers with keeping him safe. And the Nation is heavily divided on the Ultimate Deletion between Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt. Was it the pinnacle of the Hardy Compound series, a fun lark that didn’t live up to its predecessors or a terrible use of the final segment of RAW? Plus, Brock Lesnar finally showed up to confront and beatdown Roman Reigns before their Universal Title match at WrestleMania. The team is unanimously onboard with the match… but there’s a definite disconnect between the story and the audience. All this, plus some thoughts on Mark Henry entering the Hall of Fame, who Braun Strowman’s WrestleMania partner could be and the value in supporting the people you love. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk.  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 81: Fast Lane and the broken music of Matt Hardy

Jay Washington is officially back in the Nation of Conversation! RAW has us asking all sorts of questions including who’s going to face women’s champion Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania. At first glance, it looks like Asuka. But Jay thinks the seeds are being planted for the Empress of Tomorrow to face Charlotte, leaving Nia Jax to take on Alexa. And after Roman Reigns fired the first salvo in against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman was quick to shoot back… but is this feud clicking on all levels like it should be? And if we do, in fact get Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles, which of those matches closes out Mania? Plus, what we think of John Cena being involved in the Fast Lane main event, why the Mixed Match Challenge is still so much fun, and why Hal may finally be close to giving up on Smackdown. Ring Tones: He’s been Xtreme, he’s been V.1, he’s been broken and awoken… We’re taking a special musical journey through the career of Matt Hardy. Is his music getting us in the right mood for the latest phase of his career? We’ll take deep dive. Ep. 80: The Elimination Chamber of Secrets

When the chips are down, Tights and Fights has decided to tag in producer Julian Burrell to fill in the host seat! He sits with Hal Lublin and the returning Des Delgadillo to discuss Elimination Chamber and the solidifying card for WrestleMania. We now know that Roman Reigns will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title and the Alexa Bliss will be the women’s champion going into the biggest WWE show of the year. But how excited are we for these match-ups? And what will RAW look like once they’ve played out in April? Plus, Des was actually at Smackdown in the Staples Center this past Tuesday. Even though Smackdown has been an inferior product overall than RAW this year, was it any better live?  But, of course, we all know that one of WWE’s best products these is none other than 205 Live. Des and Julian will discuss what’s made the show so much fun to watch after it was reinvigorated last month. Main Event Commentary is one of the most important elements to a televised wrestling show; The wrestlers provide the music and the commentators provide the lyrics. But what makes for a great commentator? And which commentators are doing their best work these days? We’ll do a deep dive to find out. The Three Count Julian put over Andrew David Cox's musical tribute to Braun Strowman Des put over the loving environment of the Smackdown Live Crowd. Hal put over Alexa Bliss' post-Elimination Chamber promo. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Julian Burrell and Des Delgadillo.  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 78: Preserve fwendship for WrestleMania and beyond

Welcome everyone to our official post-Royal Rumble decompression. Most of WWE is in a bit of a holding pattern as the final WrestleMania picture takes shape.  But there are still tons of things happening throughout both shows. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are seemingly headed for a break-up which we are very much NOT in favor. We’ll explain how we’d like to see their partnership developed alongside the WWE Title scene with AJ Styles. Plus, Jason Jordan is dealing with a neck injury that’s going to have him out of the ring for a number of months. But where does this leave his character and Seth Rollins before he’s able to head back to the ring? And we’ll take a closer look at where everyone else is heading into the final weeks before the biggest show in wrestling, including Asuka, Nia Jax and everyone on the Smackdown Top 10 (Whatever that ends up being like!). Gimmick Corner For the past 15 years or so, WWE television has had one man at the forefront: John Cena. He’s been the franchise player for WWE up until a few years ago. So it’s hard to believe that he started out as a generic babyface with ruthless aggression and eventually became the doctor of thuganomics with some impressive (?) rap skills. We’ll take a look at what makes him tick and whether or not he’s lost a step as he ascended the card. Three Count  Danielle put over some of Twitter's best wrestling artists Julian put over John Cena's best joke ever Hal put over the Philly Special Hosted by Hal Lublin, and Danielle Radford  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 77: The NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia and Royal Rumble special

NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia NXT’s hot streak of quality events continues!  Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas and Johnny Gargano tore the house down in the NXT Title match. They both seem destined for big stories in the coming months before the next TakeOver but, for now, we can just bask in the afterglow of how special this match was.  Plus Ember Moon retained her woman’s title against Shayna Baszler in a hard-hitting match. But will Moon lose that title to Baszler in the coming months to head to the main roster or should she stick around NXT a bit longer? Not to be outdone, Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly retained their tag titles over The Authors of Pain while their leader Adam Cole came up short against Aleister Black. Where does this trio go next to keep their footing in NXT? All that… and we’ll even discuss the return of the XFL, the latest rifts in Bullet Club and why Kenny Omega’s reunion with Kota Ibushi brought tears to our eyes. Royal Rumble Oh, what a Royal Rumble it was!  It’s great to finally have a Big 4 weekend that everyone’s given rave reviews too. We had not one, but TWO great Royal Rumble matches, including the first-ever women’s event. Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka have been near-unanimously praised as the right winners of the contests and there were tons of legends who returned to keep the crowd engaged. But significantly, UFC star Ronda Rousey made her debut after Asuka’s big win. With reports coming out that she’s a full-time wrestler now, how optimistic are we that we’ll enjoy what she brings to the table? And now that we’re pretty sure Nakamura will face AJ Styles for the WWE championship, where does that leave best friends Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens? And how does Roman Reigns get his long-expected match with Brock? Welcome to the Road to WrestleMania! Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford, Lindsey Kelk and Mike Eagle.  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 76: The De-reviving the Revival at RAW 25

It was an incredibly eventful week for WWE, but not entirely for the reasons that the company wanted it to be. Enzo Amore has been fired following the revelations that he has been accused and is under investigation for rape and kept the situation from his employers. In this era of #MeToo, this sort of thing can’t stand in wrestling. But how scared are we that this could be just the start of WWE stars, past and present, being called out for similar heinous actions?  And in much lighter news, WWE celebrated the 25th anniversary of RAW! Unfortunately, people watching it from the Manhattan Center, it wasn’t nearly as entertaining. But between all of the legends and Miz winning back the Intercontinental Title, which of the hosts had fun, and who hated it? Plus, Sami Zayn picked up a major win against AJ Styles in the main event of Smackdown. Is this the signature win he needed as a heel or is this undone by taking a big loss on Sunday? All that, and we continue to be excited about the Royal Rumble and feel like the Mixed Match Challenge is still providing a ton of things to love. Main Event Every time there’s a major anniversary or occasion in WWE, it’s a safe bet that we’re going to be treated to a wealth of nostalgia. And while a little bit of that is fun, when does it cross the line? And how big of a problem is it when a young team like the Revival is destroyed by a group of older wrestlers for the purposes of a nostalgia pop? The Three Count Danielle put over Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn in the Mixed Match Challenge. Mike put over Mike Parrow's interviews on his experience as a gay wrestler. Hal put over the post-match promo in the MMC from the Miz and Asuka Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle.  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 75: You are tearing me apart, Strowman! Ft. Mega Ran

Noted wrestling fan, video-game aficionado and rapper Mega Ran officially joins the Nation of Conversation. And we’re going to continue to talk all about his experience with Wrestle Kingdom 12 since he saw it LIVE in the Tokyo Dome! Plus, we’ll take a look at how much fun it was to see Braun Strowman tear up the ($12 million) production trucks, why AJ Styles is delivering some of the worst promos of his career and why the Revival is set to take a hit from every single legend next week on RAW. And we’ll keep looking ahead to the Royal Rumble, including who would be a great winner for the first ever Woman’s edition of the event. Main Event Seth Rollins’s signature finishing move has at last returned! After a brief stint with the Pedigree and (ugh) King’s Landing, the Curb Stomp is back with a vengeance. What makes it such an effective finisher? And who could stand to get a new finisher in the next few weeks? The Three Count Mike put over Bruce Prichard's stories on the latest episode The Masked Man podcast. Mega Ran put over Rusev's encouragement to Lana for the MMC. Hal put over Kurt Angle's awful acting. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Mike Eagle and Mega Ran. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 74: Oh hi, Marks. It's Wrestle Kingdom 12!

We’ve already got a ton of things to deal with that have overturned what we expected from the Road to Wrestlemania! Balor Club is officially a thing and is beginning to get going as force on RAW. As they beat up Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan, and throw up the too sweets, Finn and company look like they’re having tons of fun again. Plus, Jason finally gets to develop more as a character as Seth and Roman try to teach him how to be at the cool kids table. Could we finally be at a point where WWE remembers how to get multiple stories going at one time on RAW?  And Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens look excited for their chance to be co-WWE Champions! While we all love AJ Styles, wouldn’t it be great to see the pair of friends get this just to see how much fun they would have together? All this and a look at Samoa Joe’s injury, the current state of the Riott Squad and Absolution and whether Titus Brand is actually set to get some wins in the next few weeks. Main Event It’s New Japan’s annual equivalent to WrestleMania: Wrestle Kingdom! The full team joins up to discuss what they enjoyed from the major wrestling show, how it compares as an experience to WrestleMania and geek out about Daryl Takahashi in a mask. They’ll also break down that Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho match that took the world by storm. Three Count: Hal put over the latest episode of We Got This with Simon Grimm Lindsey put over a great NXT live show in South Carolina Danielle put over the WWE Mixed Match Challenge announcement videos Julian put over Edge's response to everyone who said the Alabama Crimson Tide wouldn't win a championship this year. Ep. 73: Brock-oli Lesnar and the Women's Royal Rumble

Welcome to the first episode of the year 2018! And unlike the rest of society, there’s a whole host of things we get to look forward to in the New Year*. We’re well on the road to WrestleMania, as evidenced by all the news about the Royal Rumble that’s been coming out in recent weeks. But we also don’t know what’s going on with a lot of RAW’s most prominent characters. What will Jason Jordan’s current story with Seth Rollins evolve into? Will Samoa Joe continue to pursue the Intercontinental title after losing to Roman Reigns? And will Brock Lesnar vs. Kane amount to anything exciting? Plus, on Smackdown, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have finally seen some renewed success in their new alliance. They’ve beaten WWE Champion AJ Styles in back to back weeks. But is it okay for AJ to be taking losses like that? *Yes, including Wrestle Kingdom. But we’ll get to that next week! Main Event Women in the Royal Rumble were always treated as a novelty. Only gals like Kharma, Beth Phoenix and Chyna were ever afforded the honor of joining in the male-dominated event. But now that we’ll have a full Women’s Royal Rumble, what can we expect? And how confident are we that they won’t ruin this? The Three Count Danielle put over Xavier Woods and Aiden English's Twitter battle. Mike put over this Sid Viscious's voicemail. Hal put over Drew Gulak covering for Enzo on RAW. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle.  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 72: Royalty Rumbling in equality

It’s our final full episode of the year, so let’s close it out in style! Looking ahead to next year, WWE has confirmed that the first ever women’s Royal Rumble is set for the January PPV. How hopeful are we that WWE has learned its lesson from the last few women’s “firsts” that they decided to institute? And at this weeks Clash of Champions event, AJ Styles retained his title over Jinder Mahal. Is this a sign that he’s going to be the top champion going into WrestleMania? Plus, how devastating Dean Ambrose’s injury is for WWE storylines, The third RAW debut of the Revival, Dolph Ziggler’s US Title win, and a lot more. Main Event It’s our annual best of wrestling list! What was the most exciting part of 2017? Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada? Braun Strowman? The Mae Young Classic? We’ll break down all of this and so much more. The Three Count: Mike put over The tag team of Aiden English and Rusev at Clash of Champions. Lindsey put over Kenny Omega attacking Chris Jericho at an NJPW press conference. Ep. 71: When Kevin Owens beat up Jay Washington

Jay Washington joins the team for the week to make the Tights and Fights triple threat a fatal fourway! WWE’s rolling out a new Facebook exclusive show: The Mixed Match Challenge. It’ll run Tuesday nights with matches between mixed male and female tag teams. How likely are we to watch? We’ll tell you about it. And how great does Samoa Joe look? He’s probably the first guy who’s become a threat to the Shield entirely on his own. But what’s his path going forward? Could it possibly include beating Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Title? And did Kevin Owens REALLY beat up Jay once? All that plus what we think of Cedric Alexander, Chris Jericho attacking Kenny Omega, why Mike love Sonya Deville and why Kane vs. Braun Strowman is already losing some of its shine. Main Event It’s our annual worst of wrestling list! What was the most disappointing part of 2017? Bray Wyatt’s title reign and booking? Roman Reigns and Undertaker’s match at WrestleMania? The Women’s Money in the Bank storyline? We’ll revisit the painful memory for you. Three (four) Count Danielle put over Nia Jax being adorable Mike put over the latest episode of Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard. Jay put over Jason Jordan embracing his inner brat. Ep. 70: Bray Wyatt should not be playing Xbox

We’re officially just a few weeks away from Clash of Champions, the final Pay-per-view of the year! But why does Smackdown feel so directionless outside of a few feuds going into the event? Maybe it has something to do with how much Shane McMahon has been inserting his influence into the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn angle? Or maybe it’s because the tag team division hasn’t gotten another two teams hot yet for a big match? But at least RAW has looked really good this week! Jason Jordan seems to finally be developing a character and Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns are on a collision course for the Intercontinental Title. We’ll talk about all this plus The Bar retaining the RAW tag titles from the Shield, the differences between the Riott Squad and Absolution and more. Gimmick Corner When a wrestler named Husky Harris was sent back to NXT, he came up with a character named Bray Wyatt. He was a mysterious cult-like figure that seemed larger than life. But over the past few years, things haven’t gone as well as they could have with him. He’s taken losses, been in the worst WWE Title match in recent memory and lost much of his mystique. But could a pairing with Awoken Matt Hardy finally help right his ship? We’ll find out. The Three Count Danielle put over the RISE live show that she went to this week. Lindsey put over the latest episode of Being The Elite. Hal put over Drew Gulak's No Fly Zone. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 69: BREAKING: Matt Hardy is at last breaking!

We’re entering the final month of 2017, but there’s a lot being put in place before we’re full steam ahead on the road to WrestleMania! Roman Reigns had his first title defense against Elias. It was a great match, but now that Samoa Joe is in the mix, where does the IC title competition go from here? And AJ Styles is continuing his feud with Jinder Mahal. Most people want AJ to be the champ, but where does Jinder fit in now that he’s on the outs with his henchmen the Singh Brothers? All that, plus a look at the Riott Squad and Absolution, another spotlight on the Velveteen Dream and a requiem for the Hype Bros. after they got bludgeoned by the Brothers of the Bludgeoning. Main Event Matt Hardy’s broken universe may finally be making a comeback! But has the window of excitement closed for the concept? What does a WWE version of the broken gimmick look like? And is there anything else in WWE that they could draw their inspiration from in the recreation of the hottest concept of 2016? Three Count Danielle put over Nia Jax's response to the body-shaming she's had to deal with. Julian put over WWE's 365 on Kevin Owens. Hal put over the latest episode of the Fashion Files. Ep. 68: The 2017 NXT TakeOver: War Games and Survivor Series

NXT TakeOver: War Games Rarely is there ever a TakeOver that doesn’t deliver the goods and everyone definitely kept up the tradition this time.  The War Games match itself was a hard-hitting, and slightly hard to follow, affair. The Undisputed Era looked great, Roddy Strong was an adorable little member of the Authors of Pain and SaNitY looked as crazy as ever. But that crazy match over-shadowed that Andrade “Cien” Almas is the NEW NXT Champion! He completed one of the strongest career turn-arounds in recent memory. How excited are we? We’ll talk about it. And every year, there always seems to be one person from NXT that steps up their game and raises their stock to a new high. This year, that was Velveteen Dream. He lost to Aleister Black, but he won the hearts of millions, including all of us. All of that, plus a look at the brand new NXT women’s champion, Ember Moon! Survivor Series It may be the least loved of WWE’s Big 4 PPV’s but Survivor Series week had a TON of great matches! But let’s be real, the worst one was the main event on Sunday. Between Triple H “turning” on his team, Shane chasing away Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode being the first two people eliminated, this wasn’t the best showcase for the current stars of the WWE. But there was still plenty to enjoy, including the best Brock Lesnar match yet against AJ Styles. And this has also been a big week for the Shield! The trio beat the New Day and Roman Reigns won the Intercontinental Championship from the Miz, becoming the second Shield member to be a Grand Slam Champion. But why is that this reunion feels a bit… lesser than we expected it to? Luckily, the women’s roster is staying new and exciting! After two great matches on Sunday, we’ve had SIX new stars added to the main roster: ON RAW, Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville made their presence felt and on Smackdown, Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan made their debuts. How do we make sure every one of them is showcased properly and not lost in the shuffle? All that and plenty more in this look at what we loved most and why from an exhaustive 12+ hours of wrestling this past week. Hosted by Danielle Radford, Mike Eagle and Lindsey Kelk Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 67: The art of the part-time wrestler

It’s the final stop before the last Big 4 WWE show of the year! Survivor Series continues to have tons of wrenches thrown into it at the 11th hour. Turns out Alexa Bliss will be facing Charlotte on Sunday after she beat Natalia for the Smackdown Women’s title. Between this, Roman Reigns returning, and Jason Jordan being replaced on the RAW team, there’s a lot going on. But is all of this serving to make for a better show, or is it just showing how haphazardly WWE is putting this together? Speaking of Roman he and the Shield finally had their first match as a unit in years. They’re all set to face the New Day in few days. Should they have wait for a bit longer for that Shield reunion? How about that RAW invasion? What are the stakes as we approach Sunday? And how excited is Danielle to have a fourth season of Lucha Underground confirmed?! Main Event Triple H is officially the fifth member of Monday Night RAW’s Survivor Series team! Between him, Kurt Angle, Shane McMahon and John Cena, that’s FOUR part-time wrestlers split across each team. Is this the best way to utilize a partite performer in WWE? What is? Should a part-timer ever be champion? We’ll talk about it. Three Count Danielle put over the magical run of James Ellsworth Mike put over the latest episode of Killing the Town with Storm and Cyrus. Hal put over the great 205 Live star, Drew Gulak. Credits Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle.    Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 64: From Tables, Ladders & Chairs to Measles, Mumps & Meningitis

WHAT A CRAZY SEVEN DAYS IT’S BEEN! We were all set to have TLC show built around the first official match of the Shield 2.0 and a Demon vs. Sister Abigail encounter. But a sudden viral meningitis outbreak meant that the WWE had to reach deep into the deck to keep fans happy. Kurt Angle made his official return to replace Roman Reigns in their main event match and Finn Balor finally got to wrestle AJ Styles for the first time ever! We’ll break down what we thought about WWE’s last-minute scramble. Plus, how about Alicia Fox the last few shows? She’s stepped up in a big way to prove how much charisma she’s got and crazied her way to the Captain of the RAW Survivor Series team! And what about Kane’s first singles match on RAW? Or Sami Zayn’s adorably obnoxious skank routine? It’s all here and so much more! Main Event Now that Smackdown has officially put RAW #UnderSiege, it’s time to take a look at the classic invasion angle. Which ones throughout the course of history worked best? Are they completely ruined if the follow-up doesn’t work? And will this do anything to generate some interest in Survivor Series? The Three Count Danielle put over Taya's Johnny Mundo movie on Lucha Underground. Mike put over Alicia Fox. Lindsey put over the abundance of Dana Brooke memes. Hosted by Danielle Radford, Mike Eagle and Lindsey Kelk Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 63: For the love of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

What a month for friendship! The Shield has made their full return to form this week, complete with tactical vests, NATO music and through-the-crowd entrance. But now they’ll have to face a 5th person this Sunday: The returning Devil’s favorite demon, Kane! Is the excitement of a Shield reunion enough to justify these constant additional antics? We’ll talk it out! And Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have the sort of friendship that we could all hope to achieve. Their added characters might even be enough to elevate Smackdown beyond the mirth that it’s been stuck in for the last few months! Plus, a look at AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal, Mahal vs. Brock Lesnar and why there are so few matches involving Tables, Ladders or Chairs before this Sunday’s TLC show. Main Event It’s looking more and more like Neville is completely done with the WWE. He was arguably 205 Live’s biggest star attraction, so what does this say about WWE’s purple brand? With such a thriving indie scene, how many more cruiserweights are going to follow suit and leave a brand that has an obvious ceiling? The Three Count Danielle put over the latest Reby Hardy feud on Twitter. Lindsey put over Pulp Fashion. Hal put over cowardly Curtis Axel. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Lindsey Kelk. Ep. 61: The Undertaker's butt obsession

Sierra, Hotel, etc. etc. This week, the team discusses the upcoming Shield reunion. Sure, it’s an inherently exciting thing, but would it have been better if it was a little less telegraphed and little more of a surprise? And the crowd seems to be coming around to Roman Reigns lately. We’ll take a look at what that can possibly be attributed to, as he prepares to reunite with the hounds of justice. Plus, a look at WWE’s plans with Mickie James, the upcoming resurrection of Sister Abigail, and a recommendation for anyone looking for a great match as Lucha Underground winds down its latest (and final?) season. Ring Tones He’s been called the Deadman, the American Badass and the Last Outlaw, but he’ll always be known as the Undertaker! We’ll take a look at every phase of his music from the original MIDI version of Death March to his country rocker phase, back to the fully instrumental version of his classic theme. The Three Count Danielle put over John Cena’s latest antics on Total Bellas. Mike put over CFO$'s appearance on Sam Roberts's podcast. Hal put over Kevin Owens's latest promo on Smackdown. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford, Mike Eagle and Lindsey Kelk. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 59: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan: jack of all trades, master of most

This week, the team bids a fond farewell to the late great Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. He’ll always be remembered for his hilarious commentary, being a great bad guy… and that one time he wore a weasel suit. Plus Bayley and Charlotte made their big returns to TV this week, both for very different reasons; But which one is best set up for success in the next few weeks? And did Roman Reigns finally get a verbal win over John Cena before their big match at No Mercy? We’ll take a look and determine the final results Main Event WWE had a great chance to make a new star when they gave Jinder Mahal the WWE title earlier in the Summer. But from the beginning, his time at the top has been tinged with racism. It was bad enough when it was just Randy Orton saying this sort of stuff, but now Jinder is using outright offensive language against Shinsuke Nakamura. How bad is this beyond heel heat? We’ll explain. The Three Count Danielle put over Nia Jax at New York fashion week. Des put over Ric Flair confronting his problems as he recovers from surgery. Hal put over Kevin Owens's promo after he attacked Vince McMahon. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Des Delgadillo. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 58: Kevin Owens did it the hard way

With Hal out for the week, Danielle is stepping into the hosting chair with Des Delgadillo back for another week of graps! Boy did Kevin Owens have a big week. He made Vince McMahon bleed  (hard-way?) after one helluva headbutt and is set to take on Shane McMahon at Hell in a Cell. We’ll discuss how great it is to have the vicious side of KO back for us to enjoy.  Plus, is anyone having a better year than Braun Strowman? He’s set to take on Brock Lesnar after surviving and thriving at his first trip to Suplex City! How good is this build? We’ll figure it out! And what’s up with Goldust and Kalisto getting on TV this week? What’s with the New Day’s 4th title win? And how scared are we that WWE will screw up Asuka? It’s all here and more! Main Event WWE occasionally pulls out a tool called the “worked shoot,” where they make a promo seem like it’s off-script… when it’s actually totally scripted. That’s been popping up in a few places: Enzo vs. Miz, Owens vs. Shane and ESPECIALLY Roman Reigns vs. John Cena. But is this fun “insider-friendly” style good or is it going too far? The Three Count: Mike put over Sasha Banks admitting that the wrestlers on RAW and Smackdown have no idea where their stories or characters are going on a week to week basis. Des put over Smackdown being the site of a major WWE storyline for the first time in years. Danielle put over Jazzy Gabert from the Mae Young Classic. Hosted by Danielle Radford, Mike Eagle and Des Delgadillo  Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 57: Roman Reigns and John Cena at Full Shell University

This week, Danielle steps into the hosting seat with Mike and Hal absent. In their place are the newest members of the Nation of Conversation: Des Delgadillo, the blind wrestling fan, and Jay Washington, a former wrestler and a current internet personality. The new team will discuss Roman Reigns and John Cena’s face-off, Alexa Bliss winning the title back from Sasha Banks and Finn Balor’s feud with Bray Wyatt continuing, post demon. Main Event Earlier this week at TripleMania, Sexy Star went into business for herself as she finished her match with Rosemary: Sexy applied a legitimate arm bar to Rosemary and refused to release it even after the match ended. We’ll discuss how this violates the trusts that wrestlers place in one another and what it means for Sexy Star’s career. Plus: there’s been a ton of injuries in the WWE this year. Now that Xavier Woods and Samoa Joe have joined that club, we’ll take a look at why this might be happening and how bad it could be for some of these wrestler’s careers. The Three Count: Des put over Cody Rhodes's upcoming match with Minoru Suzuki at Ring of Honor. Jay put over John Cena's promo on Roman Reigns. Danielle put over Bianca Blair winning the NXT Combine for the second year in a row. Hosted by Danielle Radford, Des Delgadillo and Jay Washington. Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun. Ep. 54: The Chinforcer and Bray's baby boys

We’re getting closer and closer to SummerSlam weekend and boy will there be a lot of wrestling had; six hours worth that Sunday alone, in fact! Luckily the Universal Title match is hitting all the right notes, especially Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman who have both helped create the feud of the year so far! That includes the great chair spot from this Monday that we’re totally going to gush about. But there are a couple of other matches on the card that we’re not so sure about. Specifically John Cena vs. Baron Corbin and Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt. But there’s always hope as long as they work on it for the next two weeks. Plus: When will WWE let Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins’s love run free? How great is it for the New Day to recapture their edge against the Usos? And can we survive 6 (!!!!) hours of SummerSlam? Main Event This week, Bayley was very audibly booed by the crowd as she announced her injury. It’s not the first time that a babyface has been abandoned by the audience that they were once loved by. We’ll take a look at how this happens and what can be done to rebuild her appeal. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle.    Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
