Studies show consumption of wine, beer, and liquor has risen as much as 30 percent during the pandemic, but we know wine making and drinking dates back at least 8,000 years. That’s what scientists discovered on this day in 2017, when earthenware jars holding residual wine compounds were found at two archaeological sites south of Tbilisi, Georgia.
