Dale Warburton
It's a weekly podcast hosted by Dale Warburton on why Bitcoin matters and what makes it different to all other crypto tokens.
I'm a former lawyer and Bitcoiner from the class of 2020, who worked in "crypto" and saw first-hand how the industry works. I care about truth, and "crypto" isn't that. It's a game for insiders to take advantage of asymmetrical information and regulatory arbitrage through false marketing.
Bitcoin is free, fair and open to all. Crypto isn't.
Invest in what you like, but at least know what you're getting into.
#70 Gary Mahmoud - Bitcoin is for Everyone
Bitcoiners aren’t necessarily known to be witty or charismatic, but my next guest Gary Mahmoud is! An actor who first bought bitcoin in 2013, Gary is a libertarian-inclined Bitcoin proponent who has spent the better part of a decade figuring out the best way to self-custody bitcoin.
When not exploring the world of Bitcoin, Gary is a working actor often playing doctors and lawyers on various New York based TV procedurals or playing silly dad types on a variety of commercials. Before pursuing a career in the entertainment business, Gary spent six years working in Congress… not too different you could say.
I’ve only known Gary a short time, but he’s the kind of guy I could chat to for hours and on this episode we touched :
Bitcoin this cycle
Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset
Bitcoin v.s crypto
Political philosophies and Bitcoin
Self-custody
Acting
Much more!

#69 Checkmate - $100k Bitcoin En Route
To all my laser-eyed friends in Bitcoin, it may be time to take off the laser eyes as we dance around $90k.

I always love chatting with Checkmate about all things Bitcoin and this episode will not disappoint. From recent price and what's driving it to geopolitical shifts post the US election, we covered a range of topics that I think you'll find most pertinent and interesting. Well, that's my view!

#68 - $5 Trillion Fidelity’s “Bitcoin First” Thesis
Today's episode is about unpacking what one of the world's largest asset managers has to say about Bitcoin. A $5 trillion juggernaut, Fidelity has been one of the early institutional movers when it comes to Bitcoin and their explanation of why "Bitcoin first" is well worth understanding. Ultimately, Bitcoin doesn't care what Fidelity thinks, but for many people, they do care what a highly influential voice in the institutional world thinks. #65 Daniel Sempere Pico (Bitcoin Gandalf) - Reinventing Yourself in a Bitcoin World
In this episode, I chatted with the man formerly known as Bitcoin Gandalf on Twitter, or Daniel Sempere Pico as he is known these days.
Daniel is a former real estate man that transitioned into the the digital economy in 2020 and since then, has reinvented himself as a social media marketing guru with a special expertise in the Bitcoin industry.
I was fascinated by Daniel's journey and thoughts on a range of topics, from Bitcoin cycles to live as a parent to moving around and going where you are treated best. It was certainly one of my favourite conversations yet and I'm sure you'll love it too!

#64 Codey Martin - Proof-of-Work in BJJ & Self-Custody
In this episode, I chatted with an unsung Bitcoiner from Far
North Queensland, a real self-custody guru by the name of Codey Martin.
Codey is an ex-military man and Brazilian Jiu-Jitusu expert
who is also the first mentor to join the Bitcoin Mentor Australia team. He’s got a cracking story as to how he got into Bitcoin and in this discussion, shares his thoughts on self-sovereignty and best practices, amongst other
things.
There’s a deep connection between martial arts and Bitcoin
if you look hard enough – proof-of-work embodies both, so we spoke a fair bit about that too, which I love.

#61 Solo Episode - 13 Reasons to Sell Real Estate & Buy Bitcoin
Real estate is the preferred investment asset for speculators in Australia and in many parts of the world. But is the juice worth the squeeze?
From my perspective, absolutely not. The risk-reward is simply not there relative to Bitcoin.
In this episode I outline 13 reasons why I think it's worth considering selling your investment property and buying bitcoin instead.
As always, you do you. I don't care what you do with your own money and NOTHING I say should be construed as financial advice. But I don't say anything I don't believe and implement myself.
Will I perhaps buy a villa in Spain or a winery in South Australia...maybe. But those aren't investments, they're what I would call lifestyle assets. Very different.
I can however say this, I'll never own an investment property in my life. Here's why.

#60 Solo Episode - Crypto v Bitcoin
Okay, so you understand Bitcoin is different to crypto, right? But how confident are you in explaining the difference?
It's not good enough to call everything else a shitcoin or tell people to "have fun staying poor". As Bitcoiners, we need to have a coherent, cogent and articulate framework for helping ordinary people understand what makes Bitcoin different to every other crypto.
I don't have all the answers, but my legal background together with my experience working in "crypto" media has given me what I consider to be a unique insight into the space. And I hope that my explanation makes sense and is easy to follow.
If you want to level up in explaining Bitcoin versus crypto, or if you're someone who is just getting started, I think you'll find some value in this episode.

#59 Solo Episode - Jurisdictional Arbitrage
Today's episode is something a little different - it's a solo episode where I discuss jurisdictional arbitrage.
So often I hear Bitcoiners talking about how terrible their country is, whether it's the US, Australia, Canada or UK. But in reality, few (IMO) have done the necessary work to consider the alternatives.
Firstly, there are some real limitations in terms of alternatives - legally speaking. Secondly, there's practical and personal considerations to take into account ranging from tax, cost of living, location, economic opportunities and so much more.
And the end of the day, we definitely need a Plan B. The world is becoming increasingly fractious and it's always worth having a backup.
But in this episode, I try to outline some of the things to think about and perhaps, things aren't all that bad at home.

Today's guest is the co-founder of Looking Glass Education and author Seb Bunney, a well-known Canadian Bitcoiner who has written two superb books - "B is for Bitcoin" and "The Hidden Cost of Money".
In this episode, we tackle the question of why the financial system as it exists today is fundamentally broken and unfair. We also decided to do a little Bitcoin FUD-busting 101. So often, we're asked by family or friends about this or that issue with Bitcoin, and it's always helpful to hear from educators as to how best to respond.
