Lucas Hoge - From Small Town to Big Town Country Music Success

Send us a textSome people are just born communicators and Lucas Hoge has that gift which The Trout discovered with his exclusive interview with Lucas. Fans know this because Hoge's new album Dirty South ascended to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart during its debut week. Whether he’s performing for troops overseas, sharing his love for the great outdoors with fellow sportsmen at an outdoor gathering or writing another song for a hit TV show, Hoge has that rare ability to find common ground with just about anyone and draw them into his world. Hoge’s creative universe has long revolved around music, and his latest offering DIRTY SOUTH, showcases a songwriter of considerable depth and a singer with an enviable skill for interpreting a lyric. “I try to either find songs or write songs that I think are going to stand the test of time and really connect with the listener,” Hoge says.  “I want every album to be an audio novel that people can listen to from top to bottom that takes them on a journey. I want songs that you can sink your teeth into and actually carry with you.”https://www.lucashoge.com/https://www.instagram.com/lucashoge/ https://www.youtube.com/lucashogehttps://twitter.com/lucashoge https://www.facebook.com/LucasHoge/https://www.thetroutshow.com/Support the showThanks for listening for more information or to listen to other podcasts or watch YouTube videos click on this link >https://thetroutshow.com/

Willow City Music Two Brothers on a Journey to Make Quirky, Innovative and Fun Music.

Send us a textEzra and Beecher Prōch of the band Willow City grew up in a world of creativity, surrounded by art and music and whimsy. The Prōch family made their home in the Hill Country of Texas, but their peripatetic lifestyle opened the boys’ eyes to experiences most children only read about in books…in a sense, it was a wonderland. Nothing was impossible. Which explains then why both brothers are passionate about thinking outside of the box, not too far from how the mad-hatter might handle the musical realm. So what is the brother’s goal with Willow City? Simple: To challenge the musical status quo. To introduce a bit of their mad-hatter methodology into music. They are constantly on the hunt to explore new frontiers of sound. . This musical melting pot provides the backdrop against which Willow City crafts their quirky, innovative, and fun sound which dares you (pun intended!) not to sing along. With their Dare Records debut single, “Under My Nose,” Willow City delivers a playful depiction of a tale as old as time; Sometimes what we need has been right in front of us the entire time.Get to know the brothers that make up Willow City Music by watching their interview with The Trout. Gibson Gives - Giving Music One Guitar at a Time with Dendy Jarrett, Executive Director & The Trout.

Send us a textDendy Jarrett, Executive Director Gibson Cares, visits with The Trout about how Gibson Cares has been helping thousands of needy musicians and nonprofits with new guitars and their business expertise. For over 125 years Gibson has been shaping, contributing, and supporting sound through their guitars…across many generations and genres of music.  In 2002 the Gibson Foundation was officially established (as a 501(c)3) and has since provided thousands of guitars and related value-in-kind and donations in excess of $30m. Organizations such as Guitars 4 Vets have been provided free guitars to veterans suffering with physical injuries, PTSD, and other emotional distress. Unlike many non-profits, 100% of donations go towards giving the gift of music.
