In this special edition, Tara talks with Jenn Baier about our role in the 2020 Census. We discuss what's new with the census, why the census is so important, and how we can help ensure everyone has the opportunity to be counted.  Whether you are a staffer or a volunteer, you can help raise awareness in your community.   Find more resources at aarp.org/census   Every household will have the option of responding online, by mail, or by phone.   Nearly every household will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census from either a postal worker or a census worker.   Beware of Census Scams: Don’t trust caller ID — scammers can use “spoofing” tools to make it appear they are calling from a real Census Bureau number. Call the National Processing Center at 800-523-3205, 800-642-0469 or 800-877-8339 (TDD/TTY) to verify that a phone survey is legitimate.
