56- Taming your Inner Critic
Every day we have a minimum of 60,000 thoughts and majority of those thoughts are the same thoughts we had yesterday. IF we want different results in life, we must first change our thinking. How many of those everyday thoughts are you actually aware of? Most of the time they are so ingrained in our mind that we don't even realise that we are thinking and them and that they are driving our emotions and our actions, which then in turn create our results. Before we can change our habitual thought patterns, we must first become are of them. Today's podcast episode is all about becoming aware of those daily thoughts(our inner critic) and then how to interrupt the pattern so we can start to choose a different thought. There are many techniques you can can use to improve your inner critic and start creating new neural pathways, and beliefs and I cover the following: *Acknowledge and name *Reframe *Argue *Stop/Cancel/Change *What would love do *I don't choose that

55 - Stories We Tell Ourselves And How To Get Past Them
Have you ever got to a birthday or major milestone in your life and found yourself unhappy with how things have or haven't worked out?
Have you gotten to a certain time in your business and thought you should be further ahead or be making more money ?
These old blueprints or old beliefs where we think we "should" be, or think we "should" have achieved something or become something, or was "supposed" to have experienced by now only cause us pain and regret, and can keep us stuck in self pity and self doubt.
So how do we get past them?
ON today's podcast, I go through a process to be able to reflect on life as it is and find a way to move forward by uncovering what's really important in life!Through every stage in life we realise there are beliefs we have about what we think we should have achieved, or was supposed to have by this time in our lives and this can often be a story we have adopted from someone or something else.
This can be a place where we feel out of control, helpless and stuck in a place of suffering. This is not an ideal place to be and can leave us feeling unworthy, undeserving and useless.
It's important that we use these milestones in life to reflect on how far we have come and what is really important in our lives.
Today's episode is all about recognizing where we have a story or old blueprint causing us pain and how to get past it.
By utilising these questions, we are able to get out of a state of negative emotion and into a place of gratitude and appreciation.
What am I happy about in my life right now?
What am I excited about in my life now?
What am I proud of in my life now?
What am I grateful about in my life now?
What am I committed to in my life right now?
Who do I love? Who loves me?
The next stage to be able to move past these old beliefs is to discover what is really important to us.
Do you know your current values?
Use this time to put your values in order - what is your top five values and how do you currently experience them in your life and how could you improve the amount of quality time you spend living into these?
Here are some Values to consider:
Health
Wealth
Freedom
Contribution
Love
Growth
Achievement/accomplishment
Creativity
Happiness
Intelligence
Honesty
Making a difference

52- You Know You Manifested That Right?
Believe in what you want so much that it has no choice by to materialize. - Unknown
Every day we're manifesting new results in our lives and not even realising we're creating our reality with our thoughts. The law of attraction and manifesting has always been a little woo woo to me yet I have noticed that I have often manifested things in my life without realising it and yet, it has always worked out in bizarre ways.
So I wanted to look into this further to understand if there was a way I could use it to my benefit and stop manifesting the things I didn't necessarily want in my life.
So what is the law of attraction and manifestation.
On today's podcast, I break it down into practical steps and uncover the ways in which we are unconcsiously creating things we don't want if we're not careful!
Step 1 - Visualisation - thinking is powerful especially when we apply positive emotion to it. Society grabs our attention often in a negative way and it's up to us to direct our attention to what we do want more of in our lives.
Step 2 - Positive and Negative Emotion - where to use it and and how
Step 3 - Contradictory thoughts - how you are manifesting the stuff you don't want. What dream killing words we can't help ourselves use and what are you doing that blocks the law of attraction?
Step 4- Allow, Trust and surrender - possibly the hardest part for us control freaks.
Step 5 - Setting intentions before you transition into new segments of your life

We are so excited to announce the next LWYD Collective Event
- with Special Guest Steph Doyle - The Soul Echoist!
Our last event was the biggest one yet, and I have a feeling this month's event will be no different! The beautiful and kind words that came out of August's event have truly moved me and I'm still buzzing from the high vibe of the night.
This month, we welcome a special guest speaker:
Steph Doyle -The Soul Echoist!
Steph is a photographic storyteller, life blogger, creative badass, soulful wordsmith, spiritual empath, intuitive AF and an absolute empowerment Kween!
Steph is fascinated with the power and beauty of human connection and if you have ever watched any of her Insta stories, then you will see she is unapologetically truthful, genuine, human AF and all about the inner workings of what makes us real!
Coupled with her love of deep, soul warming sharing, her passion for sharing everything and anything else - she really is a mixed bag! She's spontaneous, open minded and struggles to keep her focus on one thing only. She wants it all and she wants to share it all, from the depths of her heart to the height of her laughter (which is also loud AF).
Her infectious energy and beautiful openness will perfectly set the scene to dive deep into mastering your inner critic at our September event!
We all have that voice inside our heads, that constant chatter, the angel and devil, telling us that we're not good enough, skinny enough, smart enough, confident enough, worthy enough - all the enoughs that keep us playing small and stuck in our heads. Some people call it the ego, or the mean girl and it can either tear us down or lift us up.
When we learn to master our inner critic, we take the power back and turn that little bitch into our cheerleader.
Would you like to learn how to tame and master your inner critic, so you can step out and do the things that you've always wanted to do?
Let's learn together as we uncover the inner workings of the critic and create some powerful tools to overcome the negativity and start living our lives to the fullest.

51 - Are You Self Sabotaging Your Success
Behavior is said to be self-sabotaging when it creates problems and interferes with long-standing goals. The most common self-sabotaging behaviors are procrastination, self-medication with drugs or alcohol, comfort eating, and forms of self-injury such as cutting.
The Act of destroying or damaging something deliberately so that it does not work correctly
Self Sabotage, what I believe is a response to an feeling or emotion that has become habitual when left unchecked which then becomes an un-conscious behaviour that becomes a problem.
This is why we come to believe that it is out of our control. That we "don't know" why its happening and we cannot change it.
There is always a reason behind all action. There is always a purpose or a pay off.
Self Sabotage is also a form or buffering like over spending , over eating, drinking, spend excess time on socials or dating apps and taking drugs.
Using language like, "I don't feel like it" or "I don't know" because we are not willing to actually look at what is causing the reaction
What emotion are you trying to avoid? And are you willing to experience short term discomfort for long term success? We need to learn to experience and accept all the emotion, whether it be negative or positive, as this is the human experience.
We first must decide that it is something that we want to change, and be willing to look at the emotion/feeling that is causing it and then choose to accept the emotion so we can choose to override it to create the success we're looking for.

50 - Why Your Vision Needs To Be BIG.. And How To Get Clearer
Wow! I cannot believe I'm at episode 50!! When I started this podcast last year, I never even thought that I would get to this milestone! And it got me thinking... am I not thinking big enough?
It's amazing how the universe nudges you in the right direction when you start to show up for your life and your business. I have loved recording every episode and have loved every guest I have had one and I am so excited for what is to come!!
So where could I be thinking bigger? Do you spend time thinking about what you want for your life and your business? Are you limiting yourself and playing small?
When we compare ourselves and only surround ourselves with people who are playing at the same level, we can find ourselves not even realising that we're limiting the possiblities
So this episode is all about thinking bigger and how to get clearer on your vision! Spoiler alert - think bigger!
As yourself what is possible? Surround yourself with the big players and open up your mind to new possibilities!
I hope you love this episode, as much as I loved recording it! Thank you for listening!

49 - This Little Skill Will Save You So Much Time
This little skill is one of the most important skills to master when trying be successful in your life and your business. It's not the easiest thing to recognise when it's happening, it can be sneaky AF but when you have the awareness around what your quitting looks like it can change the game. Quitting or giving up on yourself can happen in stages... let's have a look at each stage. Procrastination Yep, it all starts with the P word. Procrastination can be a normal part of your day but when it drags out to 2-3 hours then you may want to consider if you are in need of stress relief, gaining some clarity on what you're doing or are you in fear of the outcome? Taking care of yourself throughout your work day is important to stop things from escalating to burnout. Taking breaks, eating at set times to lift your energy, finishing and switching off when you said you will. What causes burnout? Are you stressed being stressed? Busy being busy? This is where you need to recognize where you need to set some boundaries for your time and self care. Are the tasks you're doing constantly depleting your energy or going against your values? Quitting & giving up Are you delving into overwhelm and confusion? When you can become aware of the stages you go through before you give up on yourself it will help you know when to change something before you give up. Are you putting things off? Feeling tired or sick? It's so fascinating when you can uncover your patter for quitting so you know how to handle it each time you start giving up on yourself.

48 - Are These 3 Words Killing Your Dreams
How can these three little words keep us so stuck, unresourceful and playing small, and we don't even realise it?
Yet, we are often using them in so many contexts, and the worst part is we actually believe them.
I don't know
I don't know if I can afford that
I don't know how
I don't have the skills
I don't have enough time
Tony Robbins once said, "It's not the lack of resources, its your lack of resourcefulness that stops you"
Combating the "I don't know" scenario, can be tricky. And it's all about changing your thinking, from below the line to above the line thinking.

46- Are You Starting Your Day On Your Terms
Recently I have been neglecting my morning routine as the weather has gotten colder and my days have gotten busier, and I have recognized the impact it has had on my days. So today I want to share the ways I set up my day for abundance and mindfulness to lift my energy and my vibration.
Are you starting your day on your terms? Are you reacting to others, to emails, social media and in turn, reacting to life in a not so positive way?
Try starting your day out on your terms and set up your day with a positive intention. I have tried these 5 things to improve my mornings, which have improved my days.
First thoughts of the day: Using empowering words to start the day off right - "Today is going to be amazing!"
Setting an intention: Taking 5 minutes out, maybe with a cup of tea or coffee to set an intention for how you want to feel for the day.
Mindfulness practice: Some form of mindfulness, meaning any of the below, or practicing meditation.
Move: Move your body in some way - whether that be stretching, yoga, pilates, a walk or a gym session.
Feeding your soul & body with the right foods for you: Choosing foods to empower and energise you.
Morning Automation: Decide the night before what you will have for breakfast, how you will start your day and what you will wear to keep the reserves of dopamine for the more important decisions in your day.
Life Script - Change your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Be grateful now for what you have, and what you will receive in the future. Use inflection and powerful energy and tell the universe what you want for your life now.
Here are a few of the things I mentioned that enhance my mornings.

45 - The Power Of Saying No
Do you struggle with saying no?
Feel the need to please and avoid confrontation?
Why do some people find it easy to say no and others struggle?
Let's uncover why we feel the need to say yes and find new ways to say no.
Every opportunity to say no is really opportunity to say yes to something else.
Disease to Please - Fear of rejection and need for external love and validation
Struggling to say no - Dealing with fear of judgement, repercussions and fear of not being loved.
Saying no takes practice and is owning your power, standing your ground and holding your values to a higher standard.

43- Dealing With Uncertainty
When life throws us a curve ball and we spiral out of control, stressed about what to do next - who do we deal with it?
Uncertainty can come in times of a relationship breakdown, change of job or career, dealing with an unexpected change and can leave us stressed, worried and anxious.
Today's podcast is all about dealing with uncertainty and learning healthy ways to move through it.
Here are my steps for how to deal with uncertainty:
Acceptance - the circumstances are not the thing causing your pain and stress
Letting go of the fear of the unknown
Letting go of your attachment to the outcome
Where is your attention? Time to shift your focus and flip your mindset
What can you learn from this? Is this an opportunity for growth?
Seek out play and let the universe worry about it
Be still & trust that you are exactly where you're meant to be
Relinquish control and just trust

33- Finding Your Y With Shar Moore, Ceo & Founder Of Y Mag, Keynote Speaker And Mentor
Shar Moore, the YWoman herself...an International Award Winning Mentor, Keynote Speaker, Author, Mum and Nani, a purposeful driving force, talks today all about Y Mag, why it was created and why having a powerful why helps you achieve your success.
We talk all about this and more:
How she went from broke to BMW
How she listened to her readers and went from digital to print (even when everyone else was telling her print was dead
How she uses her Bigger than Fear WHY to drive her to succeed
Why Shar started a magazine with no experience
Why you need to put the car in drive first
If you don't know your WHY the what you do doesn't matter
Follow you why and success will come when it's meant to
Dealing with rejection
Without a mentor, you're choosing the hard path
Trusting your intuition to create your success
The power of checking in with your goals & intentions
Self care just as important as setting goals
Sitting in her home office in late 2012, Shar Moore was frustrated, as she desperately craved for a Magazine that focused purely on stories of others who had walked her walk and could shine the light for her to follow. She was struggling to find the inspiration to keep going, as she had just endured her 'Broke to BMW' period in her Business, after being indirectly affected by the devastating Queensland Floods.
She yearned for stories of other women who had overcome adversity, found their purpose in life and found a way to turn their dreams into a reality. She knew it was possible, but needed written proof!
Yet what was to the point of overwhelm, was all the stories and features of celebrities, who lived surreal and sometimes false lives, skinny young models, wearing un-affordable fashion and secrets on the latest diet fad that was sure to make her look 21 again! At age 40 something, Shar was not impressed and certainly not drawn to parting with her cash, on something that was more than likely to going to make her feel worse, not better...
One of Shar's favourite quotes is from Mahatma Gandhi... 'Be the change you wish to see in the world". And she knew she had to do something.
So in February 2013, YMag was born online, bursting with stories of everyday women and men, living their true purpose in life and well Y not, Shar was the cover girl!

31- Being Aligned With Your Goals
Align your personality with your purpose, and no one can touch you. - Oprah
Alignment. Why do we want it and how do we get it?
One of the most popular buzz words going around at the moment, and I wonder whether the real meaning of alignment has been lost with all the buzz.
It's something that can determine either your success or your struggle to achieve.
What is alignment?
Alignment is Aligning your thoughts, behaviours, emotions and energy with the person you want to become to have the results that you want in life.
In the dictionary, it means arrangement in a straight line or in correct relative position and
a position of agreement or alliance. So are your behaviours, thoughts, beliefs and actions in agreement?
Really think about what you want in life and decide whether those aspirations are what you truly want.
As we can often take on other peoples expectations, ideas of success and aspirations thinking it's what we want, yet truly deep down its not. Finding your own truth and being ok with that is the first step to getting into real alignment.
So these are the things to consider to get into true alignment:
Analyse your beliefs and figure out if they support your goals or hold you back?
Picture yourself 5 years from now, with all those goals and aspirations achieved and see how you would be behaving, believing, feeling and what energy you are holding on a daily basis.
Are your actions and words truly aligning with your goals.
Energy is your responsibility and choosing your emotions to support your goals keeps you in momentum
Consciously taking responsibility for our actions, thoughts, emotions and energy will continue to keep you in alignment.
You do not become what you want; you become what you believe. - Oprah

30 - Living In The Moment
Unease, tension, anxiety, tension, stress, worry - all forms of fear - are caused by too much future and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness and all forms of non-forgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence - Eckhart Tolle
Staying in the present moment, is the most difficult thing to do in this day and age. We are bombarded with distractions from every angle and expected to be perfect in every way and be always striving to be better, do better and live more fully. Yet, when we're always striving for the next best thing, focusing on what's next on the hustle and grind train, we can find ourselves struggling to actually enjoy our lives and live in the moment.
With stress and anxiety on the rise, we must find new ways to handle this to be able to stay present, build stronger connections and live and love more fully. Living in the moment effects our happiness, balance and performance, it helps to calm the mind, and reduce the effects of stress on the body.
So how do we stay more present and live in the moment?

28 - How To Find Your People
Today's episode is a hybrid episode - I know weird right. But it's kinda the same concept.
This week I've had a few people comment on how difficult it is to find friends in this day and age and I've also been having conversations on how to find clients in a business situation and how important understanding your ideal client is.
So what is important to you? What do you value in life?
Today I am using a tool that I use in my business coaching to get clear on your ideal client so your marketing, branding and advertising speaks directly to that ideal client.
By using the same tool to discover what is important to you and what your interests are you can discover how to find like - minded people so you can make new friends.
Random correlation yeah? Not really, when you think about. We all just want to belong, and we all want people understand what we are going through and what we want in life.
What better way to discover where to find friends than to ask yourself these important questions first.
Grab a pen and paper and let's get started. :)

29 - It's Ok To Feel
Why are we walking through life afraid to feel and express our emotions?
Repressing and avoiding our emotions can cause severe and debilitating physical and emotional ailments.
Learning to express and process our emotions can lead to a healthy and enjoyable life of peace and well being.
We often find ourselves doing everything we can to avoid our feelings - emotional eating, drinking, shopping, having sex, staying busy, burying ourselves in work and even spending hours scrolling through tv and social media.
To experience a full and happy life we must learn to acknowledge, name and experience our emotions so we can process them and move forward in our lives otherwise they will come back to bite us in the ass.
All emotions serve a purpose and if we allow ourselves to experience them we can learn from the message they are sending and start creating the life we want to experience.
Yes society and the world want us to avoid our emotions - it makes us better consumers and keeps us indulging in spending money on things we don't need to try and make ourselves feel better. Yet all we really want is to feel.
If I was to ask you to name some negative emotions, I'm sure you could come up with a full list of compelling emotions and with plenty of stories to back them up. And that's ok. As long as they are your stories.
Your experience is your experience - don't allow someone else's experience to dictate your emotions.
Yet, if I asked you to make a list of positive emotions - how many could you come up with? And how many of those would you be experiencing on a daily basis?
We are what we practice. So what percentage of your day would you be experiencing positive emotion compared to negative? How could you go about cultivating more positive emotion in your day?
All emotions are neutral until we label them.
So how do we process emotion?
Firstly, we must allow it to be. Acknowledge that it is there and name the emotion we are feeling and why.
Be aware of the emotion, name it accurately, without the drama and allow the healing to take place.
Ways to allow the process of healing:
- Acknowledge it, name it, FEEL IT, Ask for the message
- Release writing/thought download - spend 10-15minutes (or more if you need) and write down everything you are feeling and why. You don't need to re-read it or keep it, just get it out and then throw it out.
- Exercise - process the emotion through physical movement
- Meditate - spend some time meditating on the emotion and ask for the message to come through so you can move through it.
I hope you enjoyed today's episode, here's to a week of feeling and processing.
Have an amazing week!

26 - How To Pull Yourself Out Of A Rut
So, you've found yourself stuck in a rut, not taking action and you're not happy about it! So how do you pull yourself out?
Here are my top 6 tips on how to pull yourself out of a rut and get back on track.
First, recognize that it is not where you want to be. Sometimes, we indulge in self pity, and non-action because it's easier than dealing with what is not working - and it feels good in the moment. To be able to create the change we want to see, we must first recogize that it is not working and it is not what we want to be doing.
Recognize your self sabotaging behaviours. Non-action can spiral into self sabotaging behaviours like procrastination, buffering - anything to avoid feeling bad about what's going on in our lives.
Recognize your thoughts and what you are focusing on. Start asking better questions to change what you are focusing on and keep you focusing on what you can do to keep you moving forward.
Revisit your goals and your why. Why is it important to you? Who do you want to be? How do you get back to the best version of yourself? Push past the pain of discomfort to get back to your passion and purpose of your why.
"People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goals -- that is, goals that do not inspire them" Tony Robbins
Reignite your passion - tap into resources that will re inspire you and your mission.
Move your body and get back to your self care. Go back and see what habits you have forgotten to do that set you up for success and move your body.
Please feel free to use this episode as a resource for pulling yourself out of rut when you find yourself in self sabotaging behaviours and stuck in non-action.
14:2217/02/2018
25 - Comparison Is A B!@#$!
"I generally find that comparison is the fast track to unhappiness" Jack Canfield
Why do we compare ourselves to other people, their successes, their bodies, their purchases, abilities and talents. What is it about our human nature that drives us to compare and how do we change the way we look at other peoples achievements and learn how to celebrate and admire them without having to consider our own shortcomings and inadequacies?
With social media bringing the world closer, it is easier to find ourselves comparing our results to other people from all over the world. Gone are the days that we would only compare ourselves to our friends, family and close work colleagues.
As the world evolves, unfortunately our brain hasn't so it is more and more important that we are vigilant with our thoughts and feelings than ever before.
When you find yourself comparing your success, talent, body or results with someone else learn to ask better questions to turn comparison into modelling for success.
Be accurate and curious with your judgement.
- How did they achieve those results?
- What actions and behaviours did they have to adopt to be successful?
- What beliefs and mindset did they choose to achieve this?
- What sacrifices and change of lifestyle gave them this outcome?
And lastly, learn to celebrate their success and cheer them on. We all deserve success and all deserve to have our peers cheering us on from the sidelines. Success doesn't happen overnight and we must learn to admire the sacrifices, strengths, abilities and qualities that someone has to be successful.
And when you admire such qualities, just know that you also have that quality within you already.
Noticing it in others is the soul's yearning to express and explore that quality more.
"Comparison is the death of joy" - Mark Twain

11 - What No Alcohol For 3 Months Has Taught Me
Do you drink on a regular basis? I did. I mean I'm not an alcoholic or anything, but I would enjoy my wine after work and Sunday sessions with friends. I also found I was overeating, spending money on things I didn't need to make myself feel better and yet it wasn't working.
I decided to do a 3month detox and it was surprising to see the changes it made in my life. The mental clarity and strength of my confidence and my resolve has changed drastically.
Ever thought "how am I going to handle this social situation without alcohol?" Yep that was me.
Never could I imagine having enjoying myself and actually dancing on the dance floor before having 5 wines!
It's amazing what you can do when you make a commitment and stick to it.
