From Debt to Dream Home: A Hairstylist's Financial Transformation with Misty Jayne
A little bit about Misty Jayne,I grew up thinking as long as I could afford the minimum payments on the credit card I could buy whatever I wanted. This belief combined with a real love for having a good time led to almost $50,000 in consumer debt by the time we had my son in 2015.My husband and I were living in a small townhouse we didn’t love and we felt like the second we got our pay-checks they were gone and we felt strapped, poor and like we were drowning in our debt. Our one true desire was to move our family into a home in a beautiful, safe neighborhood, but we both accepted that we chose the wrong careers and could never afford it… until I had the realization that changed everything.I realized our lack of intention and reckless spending was costing us the one thing we actually wanted.I realized I was spending to try to look like I had my financial shit together… while my financial habits were making the opposite true.We paid off $48,000 in debt exactly 2 years to the day we cut up our credit cards.8 months later we closed on our dream home in a neighborhood we never thought we could afford. I’m writing this from that house and I pinch myself every morning when I wake up in it.So, I didn’t just wake up one day and decide to start coaching stylists on getting out of debt and building healthy relationships with money… it called to me in a way nothing ever has before. https://www.mistyjayne.com/

Letting go of external validation in regards to your life purpose.
In this episode Malea Heim, of Life Purpose Coaching, we chat about what a Life Coach is and how one can benefit you. Malea really helped my narrow down what my vision was and is for my life and my business. She is passionate about helping women learn to trust themselves and let go of that external validation we seek from others. I share some of the ways Malea helped me figure out what I was passionate about and how I started believing in myself. If you've been feeling stuck in your life and not sure what to do Maybe you need a life Coach!Malea Heim Bio One morning, some years ago, I woke up staring at the ceiling, feeling hopeless with the reality of the day. Feeling suffocated like I was inhaling sand. Rolling over to escape was no longer an option. My life needed to change. On the outside, my bright smile and cheerful disposition hung like a tarp covering what I didn’t want anyone to see. But, as we all know, there is never enough fabric to hide the pain from ourselves.Years of mentoring, professional coach training, and a decade after saying “yes” to coaching, I passionately and confidently help others light their path. I draw from my personal journey as a base of experience. With me, there is no judgment. Here you’ll find strength and direction. As your ICF Certified Life Coach, I'll partner with you to:Recover — Your authentic selfRealize — Your gifts and talentsRebuild — Your best lifeRejoice — In the world you are creatingIn addition to my training, my coaching skills and faith are continuously strengthened as I lend my professional skills to coordinate and lead women’s retreats and workshops. www.maleadevi.comIG @Maleadevi916-628-7202
