CONCLUSION
Such an informative episode with Maurice Glazer. I tell my audience on an ongoing basis how important being tax complaint is and what can happen when you do not follow the rules. I've always led my personal and business life being compliant and doing things the right way. When I have important documents I trust my lawyer to look over the paperwork to make sure I am not signing something I shouldn't. And when it comes to tax laws and preparation, I call on my ever-so-important tax accountant.  They always save me money, so why in the world would I ever try to go it alone.

CONCLUSION
This was a really fun episode with Kathleen Peddicord. I was so intrigued by her list of 10 Best Places to Retire Overseas that I want to now go and visit them. You'll hear on this episode the cities and countries I'm familiar with and the ones I'm not!
Mentioned in this episode:Join Me In Panama For Our Next TourI have great news. After many meetings and explanations, the Panamanian government has agreed to keep the Investors Visa at a $300k Real Estate investment instead of nearly doubling the amount required, as they said they would.
This is a massive win for our community who wants to move to or invest in Panama, but I am not sure how long this will lastâŠ
If you have been thinking about Panama, then I want to make an invitation to you today.
Come join me for a special four-day tour to see if the country I call home is right for you and your family.
We have just released the next set of trip dates. You can find out more at ExpatMoney.com/fly.
Come visit me and the Expat Money team, get a feel for the country and see if Panama makes sense for investment or as a new home.Panama Fly'n Buy Real Estate TourVeritas Panama - Offgrid CommunityAfter 17 months of bureaucracy, my partners and I successfully got our permits for Veritas Panama! This is the fully off-grid community we are building in the highlands of Panama.
We have already started building the roads, subdividing the lots, installing the septic and water, and even installing solar panels, so everything is independent of the power grid!
The site we chose is unbelievable; we are up at a flat plateau about a thousand feet up a mountain with incredible unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. To go to the beach, it is just 15 minutes down to the water.
We have mature fruit trees on site, including these gorgeous 200-year-old mango trees and many other things, such as avocado trees, papayas, and delicious tropical fruits.

047: The First Rule of Ghostwriting: You Do Not Talk About Ghostwriting â Featuring Jeff Haden
Jeff Haden author of The Motivation Myth spent over 20 years in manufacturing when he realized he really didn't love what he was doing. Over the next few years, he learned different skills to create a job for himself in the ghostwriting arena. Some may ask? What is ghostwriting? Why do people hire a ghostwriter? and where do you find a ghostwriter?
WHAT WE DISCUSSED IN THIS INTERVIEW
What is Ghostwriting? Ghostwriting involves hiring someone to write works such as books, speeches, or articles, which are officially credited to another person as the author. Commonly used by celebrities, executives, and political leaders.
Why Do People Hire a Ghostwriter? People hire ghostwriters when they have expertise but lack time or writing talent. Ghostwriters help transform ideas into polished, professional content.
Where Do You Find a Ghostwriter? Ghostwriters can be found on platforms like UpWork, Freelancer, and BloggingPro. Key advice: hire someone with proven experience who writes professionally.
The Motivation Myth: Jeff Hadenâs book debunks the idea that motivation leads to success. Instead, he argues that small successes create motivation, leading to the achievement of bigger goals.
What is a Serial Achiever? A serial achiever is someone who successfully pursues multiple careers or interests over their lifetime. Jeff Haden encourages embracing diverse roles and adding "AND" to your professional identity.
Additional Podcast Insights: Topics include the difference between a coach and a pro, writing a book in 1.5 weeks, developing perseverance, leadership skills, coping skills, and more.

CONCLUSION
I loved this episode with Stephan Spencer. We talked about so many things, it was crazy. When the conversation began we just clicked and I know you'll be able to hear that straight away.
Funnily enough, we never did get into SEO though, or Marketing, or business at all for that matter... we really just talked about life, higher consciousness, and being the best person you can be...
So at the end of my hour with Stephan, I boldly asked him back on to the show so we could double down and focus solely on SEO for a complete episode.
And Stephan said, "of course let's do it!" So we have broken Stephans interview into two parts, we discussed the concepts of success first, then in our next interview weâll chat about the magic of SEO, or as Stephan calls it, SCIENCE!!

024: Success Simplified: Focus on the Fundamentals â Akbar Sheikh
Akbar Sheikh helps entrepreneurs ethically scale to 7-figures. On The Expat Money Show, Mikkel Thorup and Akbar discuss the importance of mastering fundamentals like health, wellness, diet, sleep, and associations for automatic success. Akbar shares how focusing on these basics transformed him from homeless to a top 1% earner.
Mikkel Thorup & Akbar Sheikh at FHL 2018 in Orlando, FL.
.
WHAT WE DISCUSSED IN THIS INTERVIEW:
The romantic notion of an entrepreneur working 24 hours a day 7 days a week, never sleeping, and hustle-hustle-grind-grind around the clock is not a sustainable approach. Akbar Sheikh recommends balance and he has some very strong opinions on how to get it. Make sure to listen to the complete episode to learn how these seemingly basic fundamentals can propel you and your business forward.
In this interview Akbar Sheikh also shares some of his secrets on how he helps businesses to scale to 7 figures fast, using what he calls the 7 ethical principles of persuasion. He uses these principles to walk into an existing business and "fixes things up". He uses a great analogy of a house and how with the right modifications you too can scale your business to 7 figures.

I enjoyed this conversation with Akbar Sheikh immensely and was fortunate to pry him away from his work while he was in Sydney, Australia, for a project. 023: Fly Free: Convert Miles into $20,000 Worth of Travel â Erik Paquet
Today's guest on The Expat Money Show is Erik Paquet, the Co-Founder of Abroaders.com and the Co-Host of Abroaders Podcast on iTunes.
WHAT WE DISCUSSED IN THIS INTERVIEW:
The majority of your points come from using your credit card, not from flying.
The best points for free travel using frequent flyer miles are "Transferable Points."
The worst points for free travel using frequent flyer miles are "Fixed Rate Points."
For the maximum value, spend your frequent flyer miles on flights, and sometimes hotel stays.
The worst way to use frequent flyer miles is for online shopping, where point value can be misaligned with dollar value.
Using frequent flyer miles means only paying airport taxes, typically $50 to $200 per trip.
... and more!
