A Review of DA Kelly's The Jig's Back Door
Today I'm reviewing a short story by Author DA Kelly called The Jig's Back door. The story is full of humor, adventure and magic, featuring two goblin brothers and a very snarky map as they seek a magical stone. From line one you can guess that the adventure didn't go exactly as planned. The Jig's Back Door is not my usual cozy mystery review, but it's well worth the read and left me excited for DA Kelly's debut novel Brooms Away.

A Review of Murder at the Gallop (1963)
Today Snoops and Sleuths I'm reviewing the 1963 movie Murder at the Gallop starring Margret Rutherford as Christie's famous detective Miss Marple. This is the second Marple movie to star Rutherford in the title role and ironically she was hesitant to play a character so involved with murder and Christie thought Rutherford was wrong for the role physically. At least that's what I heard on TCM. Anyway, this is one of my favorite Marple mysteries and I hope you'll take the time to enjoy it.

When a wealthy woman is poisoned it's up to Hercule Poirot to figure out who the guilty party is. Was it her much younger husband? or was it one of her children? This is the first of Christie's mysteries to feature the eccentric Hercule Poirot, and while it is dry at points it is a good mystery.

A review of Knives Out (2019)
This movie had so much potential as a satire of the mystery genre if only politics hadn't gotten in the mix. Strong language and over the top acting also resulted in a movie that failed to hold my interest all the way through.
