Two Legendary Wine Families of AOC Pessac-Léognan
The Perrin and Lurton families have deep roots in AOC Pessac-Léognan, “the gateway to Bordeaux.” Marc Perrin’s grandfather, Anthony Perrin, helped create the AOC in 1987. Marc oversees 13th century Château Carbonnieux, one of Bordeaux’s oldest and largest estates. The Siegel family emigrated to Chile from Austria in the 1800s, began growing grapes in the Colchagua Valley in the 1980s and first bottled estate wines in 1997, now Siegel Family Wines.
