Last week's ruling by the Butte-Silver Bow Zoning Board of Adjustments does not have to spell the end for the Silver Bow Drive-In.

No. 161: Christine (McGuinn) Nehls
If you take one thing away from this podcast, it is that it is OK to call for help. Call the Suicide and Crisis Helpline at 988 if you are in a dark place.
Christine (McGuinn) Nehls lost her husband, Aaron, to suicide 15 years ago. He was only 43 years old. The couple had been together since they were 15 and married when they were 21.
Aaron was a nice guy, a loving father and husband and a talented drummer. Everyone seemed to like him. That, though, was not enough for him to overcome his depression.
After 15 years, Chris decided to talk about Aaron because she wants people to remember how he lived, and not how he died. She also hopes other people will listen and get the help they need.

No. 153: Silver Bow Drive-In
The Silver Bow Drive-In is a true treasure for the people of Butte and Southwest Montana.
The drive-in has been open most summer nights since Mark and Holly Hansen started operating it in 1977. They have since gotten help from their family as they maintain the last drive-in in Montana.
The future of the drive-in, though, has been placed in doubt by the prospects of a gas station and convenience store being built right next door. The Hansen family says that could mean the end of the drive-in because the noise, lights and smells would be devastating.
You can speak out in support of the drive-in during a zoning board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Council Chambers on the third floor of the Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse. You can also send a letter of support to [email protected].
