Title - Corkscrews
No John Gibbons this week (when will we all be together again?) but Neil Atkinson, Adam Melia and Stephanie Heneghan limp on.
Neil has made the grave error of asking for listeners to suggest topics for discussion. Steph is looking for a corkscrew. Adam wants people to get the Gig Of The Week format soon.
Elsewhere, John has a song from a listener though obviously Neil gets the name wrong.
You don't get this on Annie Mac.
You do get 10 great songs though.
The Rider sort of unstoppable. Though it constantly breaks down.

John Gibbons is joined by Gareth Roberts, James Sutton and Craig Hannan for this week's City Talk show.

In part two we are joined by Joe Mott from male football fitness group Man V Fat. He talks to us about the league aimed at getting overweight men playing football and losing weight in a fun supportive environment. For more information go to https://www.manvfatfootball.org
Finally, with the Liverpool squad back in training, we try to analyse which players might stake a claim for first team action this pre-season. The lads each pick a one to watch this summer.

Free Podcast: It’s Good To Talk…Or Is It?
An Anfield Wrap with a difference today, all the transfer tattle is over on our subscription feed, with Rob Gutmann getting ridiculously excited about more potential ins to follow in the footsteps of Mo Salah. Here though, we’re doing something else in a podcast of two parts.
First, I’m joined by Andy Heaton, Ian Ryan and Paul Senior and with Liverpool making two high-profile appointments off the pitch this summer in the shape of chief executive Peter Moore and head of club and supporter liaison officer Tony Barrett I want to discuss what we as fans want from Liverpool FC. How do we want them to act? What should it’s identity be? What would make it a de facto ‘good club’?
I then speak to Simon Strachan, who is the co-founder of Gain Line – a sports analytics company - and along with his business partner Ben Darwin they have worked at the top level in rugby union. They’ve got some interesting theories that are now being applied across all sports, including football, in particular around squad stability and team cohesion.
All this and more on this week's big show.

Hillsborough 28 Years On: Phil Scraton on Owning The Truth Of April 15, 1989
Professor Phil Scraton, campaigner and author of Hillsborough: The Truth, speaks to Gareth Roberts about the long fight for truth and justice, from the days when it became clear a cover-up was in process just days after the disaster to the elation of the verdict at the inquests last year.
In between was a long and arduous battle for information, for recognition and for the powers that be to recognise what was right and wrong.
Phil has been at the centre of it all, alongside the families and the survivors, from 1989 through to 2017, and here he speaks candidly about the highs and lows of those 28 years.
