259: The impact of gut health on our skin with Dr Irene Prantalos from Salubre
Today’s guest is Dr Irene Prantalos from Salubre. Dr. Irene Prantalos understands the challenges associated with severe skin problems. In her teens and 20s, Irene, along with her mother, spent years trying to find a solution for her severe psoriasis. In her quest for a doctor who could help her, Irene found relief through Chinese Medicine and took matters into her own hands. Having completed a double degree in Human Biology and Chinese Medicine at RMIT, Irene completed a clinical internship in Nanjing Teaching Hospital in China. Dr Irene has seen many patients come into her clinic suffering from skin problems since opening her private practice in 2003. While Chinese medicine provided relief, Dr Irene realised it was essential to ease pain and discomfort to help the healing process when it comes to skin problems. In 2010, Salubre Cosmeceuticals was launched. The focus was on easing itchy, dry skin associated with psoriasis and eczema, but it also went on to help sufferers of acne and rosacea. A few years later, the Pro-Age Pearl Brilliance range was released, and it quickly became the most popular range of all. Formulations combine Chinese herbal principles with peptide technology to achieve fast results. Here to discuss the impact of gut health on our skin, from Salubre, today we welcome Dr Irene Prantalos. This episode is brought to you by the Aesthetic and Beauty Industry Council. 256: The Skin Microbiome with Dr Tiina Meder from Meder Beauty
Today’s guest is Dr Tiina Meder from Meder Beauty. Dr Tiina Meder dreamed of a career in medicine from an early age. She became fascinated with the intricate works of human skin and thousands of diagnostic possibilities, more variable than in any other branch of medicine. Strictly academic in her approach from the start, Dr Tiina Meder quickly earned recognition in the field. In 2009, Meder Beauty Science, was born out of her frustration with the conventional skin care industry and today Dr Tiina Meder dedicates most of her time to managing Meder Beauty, which has grown into an international enterprise with distribution partners in over 30 countries. Meder Beauty treatments are offered in more than 10,000 clinics across the world. Today the company offers 6 innovative professional treatments for clinical use and 27 home care products. Dr Meder uses her experience, knowledge and energy to devise products and treatments that would be safe, painless, and effective for all ages and skin types.
