Significance with Richard Birke, son of Holocaust survivors, conflict resolver, JAMS architect, Stanford Law professor

Every so often, we encounter a life that is both a roadmap and a revelation. A life that illuminates the principles that bind us together, even as conflicts threaten to pull us apart. Meet Richard Birke, Chief Architect of JAMS Pathway. Richard is a man whose mission is not to win battles but to restore missions. He simply helps people find their way back to purpose by untangling the webs of conflict. Richard's path to significance was anything but straight. He was, in his own words, "meandering." But life has a way of leaving clues, and Richard's early experiences were breadcrumbs leading to a calling. His mom, a Holocaust survivor, imbued him with a deep understanding of the fragility of peace and the cost of division. She ever the optimist, teaching him to embrace both sunshine and rain with grace—a wisdom that would echo in his life’s work.. One Career Defining Moment of Resolution From his first law degree to a second at Stanford, from prosecuting cases to resolving them, Richard's journey was a masterclass in adaptability. When the timber wars raged in Oregon over ancient forests and livelihoods, Senator Mark Hatfield turned to this unknown 31-year-old problem solver. Richard transformed a battleground into the Opal Creek Wilderness—a living testament to the power of resolution.Enjoy hearing Richard's story of significance.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/success-made-to-last-legends--4302039/support.

Success with Bob Steinfield, Legendary Sports Broadcast Producer, and author of 3,2,1...We're On the Air

Imagine what it’s like to make hundreds of key decisions on “live” network television with millions watching. That’s what a sports television producer does behind-the-scenes each time they sit in “the big chair” in charge of the show. It’s a responsibility that requires good instincts, judgment and passion. Not everyone can handle the pressure or responsibility, but Robert Steinfeld has done that for the last five decades. His work has earned him 10 Sports Emmy Awards for producing and or directing local, regional, and national network sports television since the early 1980s, and during that time has covered Major League Baseball; NBA, WNBA and college basketball; college football; NCAA Championship events; World Cup Soccer, the Cotton Bowl Classic for four decades; and three summer Olympic Games. He’s produced and or directed for ESPN, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox Sports networks, Bally Sports, the NBA and more. In addition to his Emmy Awards and additional five nominations, he’s received a national Cable Ace Award nomination for Outstanding Programming Achievement, five Telly Awards, and more. He’s produced five highly successful and critically acclaimed baseball pitching instructional videos – including Nolan Ryan’s Fastball with Randy Johnson. He’s been fortunate to work with some of the greatest athletes and broadcasting talent, and he learned a lot along the way.Robert is a native of New Jersey, but grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he’s lived since 1965. He attended Dallas Hillcrest High School then the University of Texas-Austin, graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. He and his wife, Sarah, have two children, Elaine and Lee (AKA Leonhart on YouTube), plus two grandchildren.Robert Steinfeld is Executive Producer of the WNBA Dallas Wings and National Lacrosse League Panther City Lacrosse Club.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/success-made-to-last-legends--4302039/support.

Success Legends with David Messier debuting "Bang!-It's David Starbuckle album and film

It's rhythm and melody on steroids with David Messier debuting Bang! It's David Arbuckle his alter ego. The film and album debut September 26th at the AFS Cinema. This is a funny conversation who was a fan of the Muppets and got his musical start from watching Michael J. Fox in Back to Future. With this record, you will hear Heavens to Murgertroid, Up & Out, Superman and the intro/outro of the show- No One Can Stop Me. The music is surreal, a bit askew. The lyrics and film are art to be consumed. Recorded at his studio Same Sky Productions, completed with the sound engineer Andre Cantave, assistant engineer Jackie Goff, mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam/David Bowie). Chris Athens mastered the album. Scott Clark on guitar and background vocals, Matt Giles on guitar, Chris "Spanky" Alexander on bass, Eldridge Goins on drums, Warren Hood on fiddle, John Mills on saxophone, Kevin Flatt on trumpet, Mike Mordecai on trombone, Noelle Hampton, BettySoo, and Ange Kogutz on background vocals. Leigh Wallenhaupt and Abi Shiman on violin. Luis Bellorin played viola and Rylie Harrod on cello. Could it be that David Arbuckle, David Messier's alter ego, has learned how to produce music and not over work it? The alter ego's music is more powerful, more experimental and sounds like he got out of his own way. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/success-made-to-last-legends--4302039/support.
