The book of Daniel is a companion to the New Testament book of Revelation. In this teaching we look at: the power of poetic symbols, evidence for the veracity of a 6th century B.C. authorship, and Daniel’s overview of world events.

In Psalm 57:4, David makes the statement, “I am in the midst of lions; I lie among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. Be exalted, O God...”  And as I read these words, I cannot help but wonder how many of you have been in the same situation; contending with people who are on the attack and seem to want nothing more than to hurt you and bring you down. With Daniel serving as the example, we find that there is a way to walk through those seasons and face those situations; to live in such a manner that “the God Whom you serve continually,” will move in and rescue you.    This week we run hard after the God Who is forever Taking Down Lions.
