Episode 2 gave me so much more hope for this season! And honestly, that was mainly thanks to Whitney. When Meredith couldn't fully bring it during their charcuterie scene, Whitney took it to the finish line and came right out and said Lisa slept with a wealthy Utah man in exchange for his investment. Later Whitney gave us REALNESS with that breakdown over her suppressed childhood memories! As soon as Paige suggested Craig do a seating chart to "control the chaos" and Craig refused saying "it'll be fine"... we knew it wouldn't be fine. I really can't believe we have one more episode to endure before we get to the reunion, BUT next week is looking like the kind of content we have been asking for all season. Kyle is going to call out Rinna and Erika for the obvious tactical takedown of Kathy, and we are here for that! I never thought Todd would end up being the highlight of Part 3, but here we are! It certainly wasn't "What did I say" Sheree! Or Marlo with her phony redemption arc. The husbands definitely delivered some entertainment (petition to request Todd show up wildly hungover and sleep deprived to every reunion moving forward). Drew and Sheree stay entertaining adversaries. Kenya took it easy after her segment with Marlo was over. Kandi stayed true to herself. And Sanya... was there. There was no big moment in this entire Season 14 reunion. Nothing will make it go down in the history books. But the dynamics between the cast can be interesting as long as Andy doesn't get in their way. The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist provided no real clarity on what "actually" happened because everyone's stories contradicted the other's BUT it was fun to drag 90% of them for 2.5 hours! Turning Shep's toxic fighting style into a drinking game is so on brand for Southern Charm. What's crazy is that in all the 7 years this show has been on, we've never seen Shep in a relationship. He's, umm, terrifying. The whispering in Taylor's ear took it to a place I didn't know it could go. Then she told him to pray and I was more scared than I've ever been for a relationship. Austen continues to bring the comedy, Craig continues to veil his emotional abuse as emotional intelligence, and Venita hit me with a haymaker at the end. I'm sure the Craig lovers will be on her side for how she came to his defense, but it didn't work for me. It made for an interesting scene tho, so there is that. Rinna delivered one of the funniest performances of her acting career in that episode. If it was intended to be taken seriously, well then......... Erika, Rinna, and Dorit are poorly executing a strategic take down of Kathy. Should Kathy talk about her meltdown? Sure. I'm interested to know why she was upset. But as soon as Rinna starts acting shocked and traumatized by what Kathy did, Pia and I instinctively rush to protect Kathy from the evil wrath of Lisa's vortex of lies. This episode of the pod is a lot of over dramatized reenactments of Erika and Rinna's over dramatized acting mixed with a heavy dragging of Kyle and a sprinkle of disappointment in Dorit. We do also hold our girl Garcelle accountable, but she takes ownership like a queen so we don't have to do too much. *I mentioned a reality show in this episode that is worth watching - House of Ho on HBO. It's only 7 episodes, and the second season just aired this month. I have only seen the first season so I am super pumped to check out season 2! Highly recommend if you need a new easy watch. I think this is the shortest recap I've ever done but when you listen you'll find out why.... This might be considered a controversial statement, but Austen is having a redemption season. That monologue in the shoe store with Taylor was one of the most heartfelt moments we've ever seen from him. And then the physical comedy on the tennis court?? And what about the butt bit!? I am so down for this Austen. Getting out of that toxic dynamic with Madison is doing him good. Shep, on the other hand, can go scratch. But honestly Taylor is not innocent in their situation. This episode isn't really about them tho. It's more about watching Craig drunkenly progress towards an epic explosion on Naomie. I could honestly see that coming from miles away, and she walked right into it by poking him when he was clearly blacked out. Either Erika's lawyers didn't explain things properly or she just didn't want to hear it. The timing of the case being dismissed in Chicago in order to be filed in California couldn't have been worse. She used that as vindication and justification for her abhorrent behavior the night before. Erika's refusal to participate in Kemo Sabe and Dorit's decision to stay by her side sent Kyle on a tequila induced spiral that culminated in a childlike tantrum that required Mauricio to step in. Kyle had the nerve to call Kathy difficult and impossible to snap out of a bad mood, meanwhile she needed Rinna to guest host while she pulled herself together following her meltdown over Dorit not going to the hat party. In terms of next week, Pia and I hypothesize and theorize over the unseen Kathy drama.... if the only bad things that were sad were against Kyle and the show, well.............. So it turns out Shep is the #1 Toxic Guy in the group! I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to preemptively use grief as an excuse for all your past, present, and future bad behavior. Lisa Rinna read somewhere that people who are "grieving" act out, but I don't think she understood the part where those people weren't TRYING to be assh*les. The dialogue in this episode, albeit frustrating, was ridiculous housewives comedy at its best. Garcelle masterfully maneuvered, per usual, while Sutton employed her tornado tactic with a side of southern charm and humor. Kathy brought the shade and laughter we so desperately need on this franchise, and Crystal gave us heart and genuine emotion. The other women just did what they always do. Pia and I discuss the clear and obvious target on Kathy's back after the comments she made at Dorit's dinner and Lisa's disco night. Her first mistake was siding with Garcelle. There is no denying that the words coming out of Marlo's mouth are all wrong. Her reads are so off the mark sometimes it's embarrassing. BUT! She has got Kandi more activated than we have seen in seasons, so you can't deny that she is serving a much needed purpose on this cast.  That dinner scene was one of the funniest moments in housewives. I just realized that this episode had a lot of scenes surrounding beverages. Naomi and Craig meet for coffee, except they really want chai, but there was no chai. Venita and Olivia meet at a juice bar where they get various healthy drinks that practically become B characters. Craig and Paige have an entire conversation about his authentic beverage preferences which leads him to say that Paige loves him for who he really is hahahaha! By the way, Craig is so excited to cause some drama between Naomi and Paige. Mark my words he will package this later as Naomi trying to get back together. And maybe she was a lil' bit. Regardless, I can see the mess brewing already......... Well they did it. They managed to sink lower than I ever imagined. First Erika brings up Crystal's eating disorder as a talking point, which was wrong all on its own. But Dorit topped that by sharing an extremely personal detail to which Rinna connected with using her DAUGHTER, and then all 3 decided they were qualified to judge Crystal's recovery journey. Erika's blackout at Diana's holiday party is officially the drunkest we've seen anyone on RHOBH. Now RHONY, that's a different story. Sonja gets that drunk at every group activity. Kyle continues to find it impossible to understand the difference between outing a loved ones life long struggle with addiction (Kim) and a friend who is suddenly over doing it and crying out for help. Garcelle is so over Kyle and all her bullsh*t, and we LOVE her for it! This episode of BH is disjointed. It feels really choppy and has zero flow. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't enjoying the recap until we got to the end and I went back through my notes. This season feels like they are confused with how to tell the story. The cast is so split in 2 and the Fox Force Fools don't have the same power they used to so they seem even more pathetic than normal. *let me tell you how I really feel  We break it all down!! So they gave us another filler episode, and I am not happy about it. There's also been a lot of build up to go nowhere. I didn't want to give a bitter recap, but they left me no choice! I don't know how much more of the Kathryn/Chleb content I can take. We don't know them as a couple, so we don't have an opinion on whether or not they should break up. They're not together IRL sooooooo, how much more of this are we going to sit through? I had a feeling this would be a boring episode of RHOBH… and I was right. The bulk of this episode was setting us up for the next chapter of drama. Garcelle let Kyle know that she is not afraid to say Erika’s drinking is becoming a problem, and Kyle let us know that she will not be touching that topic with a ten foot pole. Sheree continues to glide through the group with ease. Rinna was barely there so… YAY. But I actually would have preferred they show the Rinna Sutton lunch that they cut to the numerous Diana scenes they forced upon us. The grand finale of the episode actually warmed me to Sutton. I’m not her biggest fan, but she took ownership and showed some self awareness. We get into how pathetic Diana’s attempt to run the show was plus more reasons why she is one of the worst housewives to ever grace Bravo TV. This is one of those weeks where it's not just about the new episode but about the social media scandal surrounding it. Garcelle's WWHL appearance led to Diana's problematic and racist IG response. Rinna commented and got dragged in the thread but took to her stories to double down. She decided to bring another franchise into her mess, they have since retaliated, and now we are swimming in a fantastic all-day Rinna drag session that could go on forever for all we care! The title of this episode of RHOA is Healthy Glows and Low Blows. What does that tell us? That they should only name episodes after classic Sheree quotes from now on! We finally learn a little more about Drop It With Drew thanks to the introduction of Jackie, aka the real owner of the company. She by Sheree is actually happening (for the sake of a storyline), Marlo finally gives us her resume (from 30 years ago), Kenya continues to flawlessly execute, and Kandi is pissed that she actually has to work this season.  The Sanya and Ralph "should we have another baby" storyline isn't the worst we've seen.
