Guess what guess what guess what!?? No DNF’s this month! And for the most part, I enjoyed everything I read. All the books from November 2022.

You know it’s a bad month when you have more DNF’s than books read. But I just can’t read another ebook y’all! All the books I read or attempted to read in October - including one that has my heart forever. ❤️

This episode is chaotic. It was supposed to be about some movies I’ve seen recently, namely DO REVENGE. I almost dedicated a podcast just to that movie. Stunning. And then Midnights came out and I had to say a few words. And gun violence is never ending so there’s some of that too. Also, vote November 8th - tysm.

Drama llama. Lo and Audrina have beef in the streets. Spencer has beef with relations of all kinds. Stephanie makes a questionable guy choice, and Audrina accuses Lauren of doing the same! Buckle up baby! Season 4 of The Hills.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… I saw a booktuber play a game where someone read her the first sentences of books and she tried to guess them. I stupidly thought that it would be easy. Throw me a classic like ‘There is one mirror in my house.’ (Divergent) or ‘It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife' (Pride and Prejudice) and I can play all day. Apparently, books I’ve read in the last few years are a little bit harder to remember. My mom graciously did all of the work for me to fail fantastically and TT chimes in with his thoughts on the matter. 💕 Also, if anyone wants me to make this for them I will happily do so! Nothing this girl loves better than a list of books. Ciao for now!

All of the books with the lowest rating that I’ve read. A lot of people tend to rate celebrity memoirs poorly. And my beloved Lauren Barnholdt ends up on this list. As well as a very well deserved terrible book.

Stephanie Garber took the wheel this month plus a few thrilling and disappointing thrillers. Way to much to say today. All the books I read or attempted in September!

Sorting my GoodReads by the highest rated books. Some really good series and authors like Nic Stone, Angie Thomas, and Elizabeth Acevedo are in here… along with some major duds like WHERE THE FREAKING CRAWDADS SING.

Gotta love a petty Spencer! Season 2 of The Hills brings the introduction of Brody and Spencer, the beginning of the end (iYKYK) of Lauren and Heidi’s friendship, and Lauren’s 21st birthday.

GoodReads made a list of 72 of the most popular mystery and thriller books from the last three years. As thrillers have quickly become my new favorite genre - I happen to know a little about a lot of these! Consider this a potential thriller TBR for ya!

For about five seconds I wanted to make a YouTube channel so I gathered up the books I’m unhauling and books I recently bought. Then I decided to stick with the medium I enjoy. So here’s all the books I recently got or that I’m getting rid of (aka the little free library that could).

With all of the authority of a mom for two weeks (but nanny for many), here are the items we use and love the most so far. I mention a few things for momma, but the majority are baby related. Also update, I do in fact love the bath and sling I mention towards the end. 🥰

You know how they say reading books and owning books is two different hobbies? Yeah well, I have two different hobbies. It’s not as bad as it used to be - think, hundreds of books sitting on shelves unread - but it’s still pretty bad. It is my hope that I’ll get around to these this year, maybe I’ve already read a few before this podcast was posted! Wish me luck!

Turns out you have a short attention span when you have a newborn so I DNF’ed quite a few books this month - way more than the number of books I actually read. We will find a groove at some point or I guess I just will have shorter wrap ups each month!

With my maternity leave approaching, I knew I wanted to do a Hills rewatch. But of course before doing so, you have to rewatch Laguna Beach where it all began. My key takeaway from this experience is that Stephen is trash. Enjoy! 😉

I made a human! Heads up, I cry a lot in this podcast. I also talk about all of the gross and TMI things that happen during delivery and I don’t sugarcoat how truly awful the experience was. I am over the moon about this guy but his getting here was incredibly difficult. I’m a complete baby about pain so take my experience for what it is, my experience. (PS, you crazies that don’t get epidurals… what’s it like to be stronger than everyone else?) I had a rough pregnancy and lucky me, I also had a rough delivery, but thankfully I’ve had a great postpartum! Thomas if you listen to this one day, I love you, but holy shit this was the worst.

All of the books I read or attempted to read in March! A bunch of not so great thrillers and a few strange gems.

The truth is as simple as this: everyone’s pregnancy is different and everything in pregnancy is normal. That being said there are about a thousand things I wish I knew before getting pregnant. Maybe I wouldn’t have cried for so many years to go through such an ordeal, maybe I would, who knows. Anyways here is all the TMI and nitty gritty, mostly shitty, stuff about pregnancy. It’s not all roses and butterflies and I wish I knew that ahead of time. (Also this is what happens when your baby doesn’t come on his due date, but comes a few days later - you don’t have your wrap up ready to publish so you publish a podcast you had set for April/May. 🤪)

Which book made one reviewer say, “p double o p”? Which book had someone questioning Reese Witherspoon’s literacy abilities? I dove into bad reviews of classic and beloved books, as well as some trashy favorites just for lolz.

I make quick decisions when I see book covers but I realized I don’t actually pay attention to what’s on them. I chose a handful of books for Tommy to judge based on the covers and tell me what he thinks they’re about. Not surprisingly, he does a pretty good job. Apparently, you *can* judge a book by its cover.

Still chugging along, killing my reading goal and my PopSugar challenge. There are lots of baby related things and I revisited some previous DNF’s. Sorry I ramble, it’s my thing.

It’s my birthday weekend so I had to do another Disney episode! It’s FMK but with Disney movies so it’s: watch over and over again, change/edit in some way, or get rid of completely. My brother, little Daltini, joined me for some controversy and to eliminate my last few subscribers with his terrible singing.

First of all, my husband just told me it’s called Emily in Paris because you’re supposed to say it like “Em-i-ly in Par-rhee” like the French would say it. Love that. Hate this show. It’s so bad. But we prevail. Basically all of the reasons why Emily is a dumb dumb, Sylvie is annoying, and Gabriel is the worst. #TeamAlfieDeservesBetter

Look… this is really long. I read a lot of books and I had a lot to say and honestly, I’m not sorry. Such a full reading month! I mentioned a terrible book from December and talk about a ton of books I DNFed. I go on a slightly long tangent about parenting and cleaning, and I finally read Verity. Grab a snack. Listen in pieces. LOVE YA.

A fun test to see just how well I know myself! I picked out 22 books that I plan to read during 2022 that I hope for one reason or another will be a five star read. We’ll see how well I do!
