He started of with a background of being the son of a mechanic and slowly learning little by little how to drive on track. I am always impressed when people are open about areas they have for growth and Lealand and I touch on similar ones we have. Tage is the franchise owner of Nasa Arizona and a racer of one of the wildest built eg hatchbacks. We talk about the balance and the other side of hosting events along with racing at them. We talk about the struggles that are unique to the Arizona region and just why Tage is a badass for keeping it going while holding a day job. I also talk about the pros and cons about old chassis (golden era Hondas) vs newer chassis ie also 10 years old. On this Episode I Was intrigued by a post of who is the most winning region for Honda Challenge region? And who is the most winning Driver. I was honestly surprised by the results.  I also give you the Honda Challenge update and some updates with project gloomy. 

On this episode we have on Dane Byrd the 2021 Texas regional champion, and now the 2022 H2 3rd place Finisher. Dane is great driver and was super happy to meet him and all the peeps from the Honda Challenge Texas region. Honestly really enjoyed meeting Dane he is a good guy and if you are in the Texas region and want to track look for this driver. Dane is also looking like he will win the 2022 Reginal championship also.

On today's podcast We have on for the first time being able to say this the 2022 National Champion Jonathan Baker. We talk about the race his win after many attempts and key take aways from Laguna Seca. We talk about being welcomed to the beans and dog experience and how much he enjoyed being out on the track at Laguna Seca.

On today's episode we talk about real time attack cars and one of the most interesting entry level time attack series Sundae Cup. I talk with one of the series more notable drivers Michael Smith driver of the 395 Honda fit fresh from his win at lime rock. We talk about why the fit is a better started track day car than the Miata, and many of the quirks and advantages of the fit. 

Jonathan Baker driver of the number 32 H2 integra is a well-known driver in the Mid Atlantic. He has the most podiums of any current racer in the Mid-Atlantic region (He has been doing for a lot longer than most). He is currently my choice to battle for the first-place position at nationals this September. We talk about the competition for nationals, why he chose Honda Challenge and the only other car he raced at pro level. I'm looking forward to seeing him race in person.

I talk about my goals and what I wanted from the car and what I wanted out of Carlos driving the car. What Carlos thought of my build and what he was able to do with my car. I this episode I bring back Graham Downey on the podcast ahead of the 2022 Nationals to breakdown predictions and more importantly Laguna Seca for out of region racers. Graham Has competed in Speed World challenge back in 2009 and is a local at Laguna Seca. Honestly if you are ever going to drive this track this episode in one where you should take note and Graham gives so much nuanced information of this track. Vic is down to earth and the type of guy that I knew I would not have to work very hard to have a great conversation with. We talk about late 90's cars and share our trauma about working on them.  We both agree on not liking torx bolts and we touch on his R35 project and his origin story.
