PHEC 287: Community And Connection In Public Health, With Stephanie Moxley

Stephanie Moxley is a public health consultant who conducts community health needs assessments for hospitals and health departments across the United States. Today, she is the Founder and CEO of Moxley Public Health Consulting, but her career in public health began two decades ago as a health educator and program coordinator focused on HIV/STD prevention at the GO GIRL! Program in Bronx, New York. Since then, Stephanie has committed her career to health promotion, addressing public health disparities and inequities, and working to improve the health of both rural and urban communities. Ingrained in Stephanie’s work is her love for collaboration, which not only improves the health and lives of the people she works with but makes her work more fun too! In this episode, we take a look at her fascinating journey into consulting, who her ideal client is, and what a community needs assessment entails.
