J. Crew - Authentic Charlatans
When the first J. Crew catalog came out in 1983, it said the brand was based on 100 years of craftsmanship, which was just a lie. The brand had just started and since then, has reached dizzying highs and terrifying lows. Courtesy of Brendon Babenzien, the brand is back after a fallow period and a bankruptcy in 2020.
Albert leads the boys through the brand's long history and our own thoughts and feelings around the "legendary" brand that had to make up its own legend. As always, read along on our substack.

Chefcore - Serving since 1822
David walks the gang through Chefcore, the latest iteration of Blue Collar cosplay that's sweeping through the fashion world. From the origin of the big white hat that Ratatouille rats work in to modern (and misguided?) collabs between fashion brands and hip restaurants, we try to wrap our heads around this one.

Show and Tell 10/23 - Weirdos Of the Internet Unite!
A humdinger, a laugh-fest, a joy for your ears to behold. We got a little extra silly with tiktok trends we can't get off our minds (and screens). But brought it back to fashion with a litany of weird co-branded Rolex watches and the fate of the sneaker resale market.
It's a fun one, if I do say so myself. (Read along here.)

Dainty Leather Footwear - For little lads who love sandals and cream
Fisherman sandals, Mary Janes, huaraches - the shoes are dainty, they're leather, and they're showing up everywhere! Who better to walk us through the trend and the history of these non-sneaker, non-loafer footwear options than Reed!
Reed loves his birks, his mules, and he's our man on the street in Brooklyn where mfs are on the bleeding edge of binary-busting little shoes like these.

Jean Shorts - "The Big Jort"
Jorts swept the nation this summer and Albert sits down with the guys to figure out....why? The fellas lay out the many kinds of jorts (kinds both good and dumb) and spend way too much time laughing at an unfortunate ssense model. We delve into the history of jorts (and shorts more broadly) and get to the bottom of things.
